Had a lovely meal last night. We were very pleased to see so many lamb dishes on the menu. The service was very good. We only gave it 4 for atmosphere because there were so few people in on a Wednesday night. There deserves to be more. Would thoroughly recommend.

Food was freshly cooked and reasonable price soon back again thank you.

No ambient music food wasnt cooked to request so couldnt eat it and i dont think the food reflects the prices some food was very bland no flavour portion sizes small no draft beers no tia maria i actually felt sorry for the waitress that she worked in such a place and was techinally the only front of house so had to deal with everything i woukd not go back and wouldnt ever recomend

Table booked for the night before NYE and we were the only customers in that night. Very attentive waitress. The chef came out to speak to us and was very pleasant. The food was very tasty and filled us both. The only disappointment was that no draught beer was available due to an issue with the pumps. Chef said that there are big plans for the menu for 2024 so we will see what happens.

Unfortunately can't say much about this place. Booked a table, turned up to our reservation and they were closed. 😐 Fortunately we found Thai Siam in Leek who could accommodate on short notice, so date night wasn't a complete write-off.

3 friends and I take it in turn to visit a venue in Staffordshire . I had booked a table for 4 for 11/11/23 . When we arrived there, the place was shut . There was a sign on the door at the back mentioning that the place was shut until 27th October due to electric issues. I can understand that unforeseen circumstances can happen, but but e mailing customers ( one of whom drove from Cannock ) is just plain rude. We did eventually find another venue in Leek which was good , fortunately . I won’t book a table at MR again

Arrived this evening to find the restaurant closed. Despite having a reservation no one had rang or emailed to say it was closed. There was a note on the back door that stated closed until 27th October due to electrical problems. It is now 11th November and the lights were on. An appalling way to run a business. As it’s not an option to give 0 stars or minus I have given 1 star but should be minus 5 stars ⭐️. This booking was made months ago, so should have informed customers.

I had a delicious burger,it came with a salad and chips.The staffs were kind and helpful.

Booked online, welcoming staff and food was lovely. We were the only people there which was a new experience for me, for context it was a Tuesday evening so we expected it to be quiet. Waitresses were both attentive and polite, food came out in a reasonable timeframe couldn't fault the place, have recommended it to family, will happily return in the future.

Unassuming external appearance but clean and nice decor inside. Excellent service from staff, probably helped that we were the only customers for lunch on a Saturday. Food is on the pricey side and this is not reflected in the quality. The salmon and the moussaka were nice but the lamb kebab on its own as well as part of the mixed grill was dry and rubbery, the flavours were there but not very enjoyable due to the texture.

I was really looking forward to trying the restaurant as we had driven past it a few time. 19.30 table booked. Order taken. Wine came. Starter. Reminded waitress about the water required! Water came. 21.10 told the sirloin was not available! Ordered fillet. Finally got our main meal at 21.30!! 😳 When finished, plates cleared and after some more time, went to ask for sweet menu!! Told of four deserts available. Back to table and waited …. Went back to the bar to order deserts…. Our choice, not available!! Gave up! Went to pay as didn’t want to sit in this restaurant any longer!! Busy on arrival, which was good to see as on passing Thursday and Friday, the restaurant looked quiet! Managers explanation was it was busy, everyone wants to come at the same time and the tomahawk steaks take 45 minutes to cook!! 🤷‍♀️ Crass elevator music playing, clean but tired restaurant and toilets and staff who needed to look at the menu to write down what we ordered. Recommend staff front of house training as this level of service is not fair to staff or customer! More chef’s on busy nights, more cooking space, customer awareness of delay in order??!!?? I prove website booking management! The food was nice but the length of time we sat waiting for mains to be served (1.5 hours) was unacceptable! Will be observing further reviews before considering returning, although I hope things improve. Menu was extensive (which will have an effect on service) but impressive! I wish staff well with development and progress.

Lovely food Greek style definitely go again not so good for kids unless they eat chips and nuggets which mine doesn't so struggled a bit he just had rice as he disliked the meat balls they couldn't do in tomato sauce and some garlic bread

My Wife booked this for a special birthday this was to include family and friends. We were asked to place a deposit and also a list of the food required on the night, not a problem so far. On the night everyone was looking forward to their meals and everything had been decked out with baloons and banners etc, now 3 of our couples had ask for an additional bowl of chips to share as all the meals came with rice. We must of asked several times for the chips and at this stage some meals had come with no rice. Things were very mixed up on some meals. It took a member of our party to go into the kitchen and make a formal request for 3 bowls of chips By this time some of our party had nearly finished their meals after the chips had been supplied within minutes the owner or chef marched into the room and started arguing with my wife infront of everyone. When she produced a copy of the list of food as suppiled to them including the request for 3 additional bowls of chips, he still would not agree and in the end we asked for a copy of the menu and said show us where it says you can't have rice and chips. He still argued and in the end we paid the bill and left, what should have been a great night to remember will now be rememberedfor the wrong reasons. We have all decided not to go there again.

A lovely little place with amazing food! I’m a bit of a fussy eater and this place did not disappoint me one bit! I was spoilt for choice! The portions were perfect. Would definitely recommend the meatball casserole! A place everyone has to try!

The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and the food was excellent, especially the Baklava.

They have done a great refurbishment, very nice and the previously horrible long middle room is transformed! The food was excellent!! The only negative is the prices of the drinks: beer is about average price but spirits, cocktails and bottles of water etc are extortionate!!!

Food was not great. The main meals took 90 minutes to arrive and my drinks glass had to be sent back due to someone else’s lipstick still being on there.

Food was lovely although it took ages to come out. Portions should be a lot bigger. I also find most Mediterranean restaurants offer bread on the table which would be a good touch. Beer on pump was flat but got replaced by bottled. We really wanted cocktails but there wasnt anyone there who could make them. I would say it's a little over priced for the portions you get too. I would eat there again though.

Hello, I visited the restaurant and was really impressed. The atmosphere was truly authentic and the presentation of the food was truly extraordinary. I think it's worth a try. The decoration of the restaurant was truly unique, with its historical texture reflecting the magic of the past. They paid the same attention to the presentation of the meals and each dish was prepared with a special recipe and served to the table. The food prepared by the chef was truly delicious and the quality of the ingredients was visible. Besides the delicious food the restaurant offered, the experience was also truly special. Eating the meal was more than just an eating experience. The presentation and decoration of the food was truly fascinating. Shocking customer service. I made a booking for Monday 10th April, I called them via phone in January and made the booking because it was for a birthday meal. I went on there website on the 25th March to look at the menu ready but to find they was not open on Monday's. When I called they said I could move it to a Tuesday (not her birthday then), and when I asked when was they going to call me to let me know they said it would be 2 days before on the 8th. It's very POOR service and if it wasn't for me seeing it I don't think they would of let me know. Definitely will not ever give them my custom in the future. I would recommend anyone who has booked to double check they have been reserved a table

First visit on Mother's Day, despite a 1.30 sitting and a packed restaurant drinks and food served in a timely fashion, suggests they have resolved previous timing issues. Never seen my Dad so happy with a meal and he's a tough customer and normally has a small appetite, but hummus, prawn skewers, and creme brulee he was loving. My lamb moussaka was good if not exceptional. Potentially slightly expensive for Leek, but look forward to visiting again soon on a less hectic day!!

The service was great didn’t have to wait long for the starters or mains at all. food was absolutely incredible and i recommend the meatballs. They were phenomenal

Absolutely fantastic dinner out. Best fillet steak I have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection. And eat steak on a regular basis !. Booking in again soon. Plenty of menu options too. Definitely recommend.

Don't believe these 5* reviews half of them don't make sense. One even claiming leek is a city, so doubt they actually visited the restaurant. We had a terrible experience, read the 1* reviews for an accurate description of this place.

The engineered fake 5* reviews in response to recent poor reviews is a bad look, dishonest and insincere. Your problem was not the negative reviews. Disappointing experience. The menu is massive. But unfortunately we found the food quality to be below average, and the prices were on the high side. The mixed vegetarian and meat platters were pretty much identical. Most items were duplicated apart from two meat items substituted for veg options. Quality wasn't great, especially considering the price. £18 ish each. £9pp. For the mains, again, disappointing. The food was poor quality for the price. The goats cheese salad was not goats cheese, instead it was camembert or brie on a bed of wilted salad. Just meh. Maybe our expectations had been build up too much. Overall, the experience offered nothing different or special to make us want to return.

This is my first time in this city and I found this place by searching. I was very satisfied with the taste and the service. I met the chef, he is a very nice person. I pay attention to the ratings and comments. Those who gave 1 star had a completely unfortunate experience. And they didn't seem sincere to me. They made the only comment they gave in their life here. Definitely come and try it yourself and decide on the taste.

We had a hard time finding delicious gluten free options for one of our guests. I researched this place before the trip. Moss Rose exceeded all my expectations. We had a very enjoyable experience. The environment was amazing. There were beef marinated in special sauces, vegan salads and carefully prepared appetizers. The staff who assisted us were incredibly friendly and helpful. They carefully prepared our guests diet menu. I highly recommend Moss Rose even if you don't need gluten free meals. They have a great menu that you will love.

Chef is the one bringing this place down, - do not fall for the fact this place has gluten free cos it doesn’t. Walked out after ordering only drinks. Awful service.

Giving one star seems too generous. Visited with my wife and family for a birthday meal that could have ended in disaster. My wife is celiac and after asking staff multiple times they were unable to inform us what was gluten free. On one occasion they waitress said the chef had shouted at her for asking what was gluten free on the menu. After an hour of trying to find out what was available for my wife to eat we left. On exiting the restaurant they chef poped his head out of the serving hatch and proceeded to shout and argue with us regarding the lack of gluten free options. I could go on for hours about all the things that are wrong with this place. However, if you want a nice safe meal and value your life, DON'T EAT HERE!!!

**AVOID IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES** Absolutely disgusting service! We had a table of 8 tonight for a birthday meal and one of our party are gluten free. We ordered drinks and they forgot one... no problem. When they came to take our order the first time; we explained that we would like to know what on the menu was gluten free as menu didn't tell you what was gluten free... the poor waiter came back from the kitchen and told us that we would need to pick a few items off the menu (that has probably over 100 dishes) and the chef will tell us what is gluten free. Confused , we looked at the menu and didn't know where to start. Waiter came back and we asked if the chef would inform us of some options we can choose from, this resulted in the poor waitress coming back and explaining as before that we would need to choose some items and she will ask the chef, and that she was sorry and that the chef had shouted at her, she told us then she would ask for further advice. Feeling rather put out, we again went back to the menu, and another waitress came out and told us the same information as before and by this point it was getting rather annoying as there was so many options but had no way of knowing if the ingredients were gluten free. A fourth waitress came out and bluntly said 'who's the gluten free one', by this point we had already decided to find elsewhere to eat as the service was disgraceful and not from the waiters, it's from the kitchen chef. We got up and left, I did voice my opinion that it was terrible service and that we were simply asking from a chef who should know what he's serving, was gluten free. This resulted in him saying there is 2 things on the menu that are gluten free, chicken skewers and halloumi (halloumi been a starter....) didnt care at all about the fact he had shouted at his staff and a table of 8 walking out so told him how awful the service was. I feel so sorry for the waitresses he had put under pressure tonight. I would completely avoid if you have allergies cos they don't give a monkeys, who knows if he would of served us food that wasn't gluten free if we had just picked some food randomly from the menu. Absolute awful representation of a chef. Just to add, he was rude with other paying customers, getting waitresses to tell customers that their food will come out when it's ready, even though their partners had their meal in front of them.

To start, we had booked online for 6pm (a table of four) and even received an confirmation email but when we turned up the booking didn't exist. We were eventually seated and it took a while for our drinks order to be taken and then delivered. Our food order was taken but whilst ordering (we asked for two pasta dishes) and they didn't have any pasta. We should have been told when we were sat down to avoid disappointment. Finally, after nearly 45 minutes of waiting for our food, it turned up... Staggered. We ordered chicken skewers, flamed grilled chicken, grilled meatballs with tomato sauce and a meatball casserole. Both chicken dishes were cooked extremely dry and without the sauce it stated it came with on the menu. The meatballs in TOMATO sauce came without TOMATO sauce. The meatball casserole arrived five minutes after our other three meals and then we had to wait another five for the remainder of the casserole meal to arrive, which was the size of a starter and the potatoes were undercooked. We then had to ask for the sauces which came out, eventually, in tiny sauce pots and the tomato sauce barely covered a piece of chicken or a meatball. What happened to meatballs in tomato sauce? The server eventually did a check back but by the time we had had our sauces the food was cold and therefore we didn't eat 80% of it. It is also bizarre that although they were four very different meals, they all looked exactly the same on the plate with the same uniform sides. Not value for money at all. The two ladies who dealt with our situation were apologetic but inexperienced in customer service. Why the manager didn't deal with our situation I don't know. We asked for the bill very soon after speaking to the lady about our depressing untouched meals, paid for our drinks and promptly left but we shouldn't have paid for anything it was that bad. It speaks volumes that when we were there a large table left after their drinks order, and three other tables of two were discussing their awful experiences together too...

Visited on a Saturday evening. Ordered chicken skewers. Found them quiet dry. Once home we checked the menu and realised that the meal should of been served with sauce and a dips . Service was good and staff polite despite poor reviews. Dissapointed with portion sizes.

Wow!! Just a great place! Friendly, welcoming, helpful team, highly talented chefs and wise management were there. We had a cowboy steak (ribeye steak with bone or tomahawk steak) it was grilled just perfect. (Medium Rare) then a rice pudding as a dessert was simply a delight to the palate. A must on any visit to Stoke on Trent, North Staffordshire.

Never been here before. Young Turkish couple now run it, nicely done out inside, very friendly & helpful, vast menu & delicious food. They deserve to do well & will recommend to friends. Good luck for your future

Had to wait 1 hour 15 minutes for or main course which was over cooked. ordered dessert to be told we’ve got 5 minutes to eat as the table was booked for 8pm£15 for two bottles of water seams expensive

We were so lucky to find this place in December just as they had opened. We were staying at the small campsite opposite. Food was fantastic, staff were so friendly but not over fussy. Absolutely perfect evening. We will definitely be back.

Soooooooo Slow, oh my days arrived at 19.30 and its 21.15 and still no food. Starter was pretty quick to come out but the mains are still not here. So cant really comment on the quality of the food. 21.30 food arrives and the Adana kebab is as dry as an old shoe. It got sent back to be replaced by meatballs, equally as dry. Service is way too slow. Probably wont come back which is a shame as I was looking forward to it.

Restaurant is very nicely decorated and welcoming. The food was lovely when it eventually came, had to wait over an hour for the food. Had run out of quite a few drinks and the coffee machine was broken. Hope they sort these issues out as it's a lovely venue with a good menu.

Booked for a party of 4 for New year's eve at 7pm, no mention of it been a set menu until we were sat at our table. Food was ok but the service was very slow with it been under staffed but I have to say the two young waiting on staff were exceptional under the circumstances. One of them had only been working there for 2 days ,talk about been thrown in at the deep end. Carpark was terrible with very poor lighting & a builders skip parked next to the entrance didn't help. As I said it was a set menu with a choice of 6 set 3 course meals which we weren't told when we booked but decided to stay as where else can you get in on New year's eve without booking. I'd say the food was ok but that's about it, nothing special & for around £50 a head I've had better.

The Moss Rose came recommended. Unfortunately, it took 25 minutes to serve drinks and after 1 hour 15 minutes waiting for our meals we gave up and left … what a disappointment

Christmas Eve meal out with family, never been before but recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed, the menu is extensive, beautiful starters but the steaks were the star of the show, 2 of our party shared the cowboy steak, wow wow wow, fab service fab food, we were looked after by Jenny fab service we will be back, thank you for a lovely evening
