Very fun night out for us all. The staff were excellent and the food was great! Loved the whole experience. Also got to try 3 new beers you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in Glasgow. The mead was the best I've ever had.

In all my years the most legit place ever. Never, ever had such authentic food. Which might have been rubbish. Not so totally amazing just go.

Delicious Ethiopian food. Very tasty and filling. We had the vegan samosas and mixed platter which was very filling for two of us. I was blown away by how delicious the food is and the service was prompt and polite. Great value.

Fab food and friendly staff. I will be returning with more friends as a birthday celebration. I chose the vegan platter - the food was tasty - I normally eat meat, but wouldn't have missed it. Next time I hope to try the meat platter.

Three of us went here on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. Very welcoming staff who explained about the menu, explaining what each dish was and even adapted a dish for one member who was concerned it would be too spicy. We had meat samosa to start followed by Keiy Wot, a spicy beef dish and a mixed platter, which consisted of a couple of the meat stews and some vegetables, with Injera. All the meals were excellent with vibrant fresh flavours and it was an enjoyable experience to dine in the traditional way of this culture. The service was excellent. If you order the coffee be prepared for it to take about 20 mins to serve, but for strong coffee lovers this is a delight, served with incense and popcorn. I would highly recommend this restaurant and it’s definitely an ideal place for vegans, though none of us are, we still really enjoyed the food.

I have visited this Ethiopian restaurant a few times, all excellent. On our recent visit, we tried the mixed platter. A range of dishes, including meat and vegetarian options. As usual, this is served on traditional flat breads. It was amazing. The combination of the dishes, eaten on top of the bread with salad, was truly a feast. We ordered extra rice, which was great. However, to take this dish into the stratosphere, I would suggest the fries with the berbere spices. They are excellent. All in all, a wonderful meal served in a unique style. If you have never heard of this place or been, you have to try it. You won't be disappointed.

This is a real gem in Glasgow. Food was really good although takes a bit of getting used to without cutlery! Great for a social gathering.

One of the best meals I’ve had. We had the vegan platter and tasted things I’ve never tasted before. The whole experience of sharing, the explanation and finally the taste was just unreal. Don’t be fooled by the outside, go in for a few mates and I guarantee you’ll be incredibly impressed

Just found out about this place recently, and very glad I did! Glasgow has been missing a good Ethiopian restaurant, and now has an excellent one. Food was brilliant, with plenty of vegan options. Service was friendly and helpful. The coffee at the end was unbelievable! Will definitely be back

So pleased to have stumbled across this place. Not the best kerb appeal and restaurant simple decor. The menu is different and seemed very traditional ethiopian. I has the vegan platter which was enough for 2 people. 6 dishes with 2 large pancakes. All very tastey and great value for £13. My wife had chicken Tibsi which she enjoyed, which was £10. Staff very friendly. Definitely recommend and will return.

Just decided to give this place a whirl for something different. It was very good we had samosas and fries to start followed by a couple of stews serve with the distinctive east African injera bread. The stews were not as spicy as I had expected but still very tasty. The African beer was unusual and good. Nice service well worth a visit.

I love Ethiopian food. If you're unfamiliar: it's injera (big fermented gluten-free pancake) which you tear with your fingers and use to scoop up various tasty vegetable and meat dishes. We chose the vegan platter, which had four delicious veg or pulse-based dishes and a salad, plus a lamb stew with spiced butter which was equally delicious. And we ordered an extra injera so we had one each. The seats are really comfortable yet the restaurant is very stylish and spacious. There was only one other diner on this Friday lunchtime, but apparently it's often busy in the evenings. There is a well-stocked bar on one side of the restaurant and a good selection of soft drinks too. We didn't quite finish our food and were offered a box for the leftovers. The bill came to £30 which is incredibly good value for a belly-busting lunch of excellent, freshly prepared food for two people. I would gladly eat here again.

Delicious! We came for a late lunch/ early dinner, and had the mixed platter shared between two, as well as an amazing coffee and delicious beef dish (we were quite hungry). Everything was amazing - from taste of food, presentation of food, quality of ingredients, speed of service and quality of service, all of it 10/10. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful word-of-mouth introduction to a cuisine I’d never tried before right by Queen St station. Be guided through the menu by the staff and most definitely treat yourself to a bottle of mead (Ethiopian honey wine) after dinner. A brilliant experience all round!

The place could be seen as a bit run down, but it's basically become an institution, comparable as a centre for Africans to congregate and, personally, I love these kind of joints, where people can feel free and relax. I hadn't been for around 6 years but, visiting twice last week, it had changed but I loved it, and bumped into people I knew on both visits. Great range of beer, including "Hero", and friendly, chilled service A must go to 😉

Dined in yesterday and had probably one of the worst food experiences to date eating in a restaurant. Ordered the jollof rice with beef and was seated at a table that appeared to have not been wiped down properly. It was a cold night and was really raining outside so was pretty soaked. The restaurant was stone cold with no heaters on to my dismay. Food arrived promptly but had noticed something off about the rice and quickly realised it was gone off. I then complained of the smell and the taste as it was sour and clearly gone bad to the host who proceeded to use a spare knife in front of me to taste the foul rice for himself. I was actually quite shocked by this as you can imagine. After realising I was in fact right he whisked my plate away to come back some minutes later with a fresh plate, and explained that it was a gone off ball of fresh pepper that was added to the rice not the batch itself. I find it very hard to believe anyone can cook with ‘fresh’ ingredients and not notice when they are spoilt and have never experienced anything like this. This second plate was without the spoilt taste , however was completely lacking in any flavour the rice just tasted of salt no seasoning or typical jollof flavour and the beef stew tasted like a gravy you would put on a cheap Sunday roast. Nothing Nigerian or authentic about the food here at all. I honestly would have refused to pay for the main however I had read a review of a woman below who had a another negative experience who was locked inside of the restaurant so paid my bill and have made a mental note to never come back. They should really close this place down.
