Mosimann’s in City of London, Westminster

A truly exceptional dining experience with cuisine on a different level The attention to detail and attentiveness, combined with a minimum of intrusion really does justify the accolades

Taken as a guest to Anton Mosimann's iconic private club in Belgravia and i was not disappointed. His architect and builders completed an inspirational conversion of this former Scottish Presbyterian church into a warm and welcoming club atmosphere. The bar and sitting areas on the first floor are particularly attractive with light wood panelling and plenty of small alcoves for discrete discussions. The main dining area on the ground floor allows plenty of space between tables and again features light wood. Orders were taken whilst enjoying a drink upstairs and my host kindly recommended two of their signature dishes. The first was risotto with cream and mushrooms = perfect texture with an intense flavour. The freshly baked bread buns with proper salted butter was another treat. My main course was herb crusted lamb rump, cooked pink as requested. It was well-presented and the meat was tender, The second recommendation was the Passion fruit souffle for dessert which involved some theatrics. The hot souffle was pierced in the top and then filled with passion fruit and juice, Just sublime. Various amuse bouche were delivered with the pre-lunch drink and before the dessert which were both great fun. This is a delightful private club in the heart of Belgravia with Michelin quality food on offer. I was fortunate and privileged to be invited.
