Very Nice wine bar , lovely staff

I visited here at the beginning of May with a couple of my best mates. We had a wonderful time, food, wine and service all perfect. Early on during our evening we were asked if we could move to a different table, which we were a little surprised about but it was dealt with very well and thankfully we could continue our fun evening on a smaller table (nearer our favourite wine choices!) the staff were very friendly, super knowledgeable and showed good humour. I arrived a few minutes after my friends and they had already (very cleverly) ordered a flight of wines from South Africa, a really good start to the night. I highly recommend this place and hopefully will return again soon!

Perfect location, with an amazing selection of wine and really friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food is the biggest surprise, apart from being an amazing wine bar, the food is outstanding. My compliments to the chef!

We only had wine so can’t speak for the food. The wine was nice. They sat us below so it wasn’t great because it smelled weird and musty, had poor ventilation, and it had the toilet was right there, which not only contributed to the unpleasant smell, but it really was not nice to have people keep coming in and out of the toilet. Suppose this wouldn’t be an issue if you were set upstairs. The bill was the main sticking point — an additional charity fee was automatically added and an automatic service charge was added at 12.5%. The annoying part was that to get the fees taken off, you had to tell the waiter — who had run off. What was worse was that an additional tip option came up on the final payments page.

He recommended the perfect pairings for our dishes, and his attentive yet relaxed service truly elevated the night. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, the food was delicious, and the wine selection was outstanding—but Marcello’s charm and professionalism were the the highlight. Super cozy spot and a great selection of wine. We sat at the bar with Michael — he was very knowledgeable and lovely to chat with!

Came for the wine, stayed for the chocolate fondant. Every single plate on the menu was absolutely delicious and sophisticated in flavour. The chocolate fondant was epic. Service was super friendly across the board and wine recommendations were spot on. Love the interior design and atmosphere as well.

A delightful evening at Humble Grape! The wine selection was fantastic, and Marcello’s recommendations were absolutely on point. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. We also had the most delicious Camembert – it was absolutely divine! Every detail was taken care of, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Marcello and Maria, for your friendly and attentive service and making our visit so memorable!

I'm a huge fan.. this wine bar has my favourite by the glass list in London and Liverpool st branchi has my favourite customer service. From walking in to drinking some wine it's just a full hospitality masterclass. Thank you.

Wonderful Wine! We came wine tasting here in their private room downstairs. We also enjoyed their sharing boards, each one paired to perfection. Big shout out to Carl who looked after us and took us through each wine. The wine, the food, the atmosphere and the staff were all amazing, all added to up to one of our best team outings! We will be back!

I went to Humble Grape after office with my friend and the atmosphere is quite nice. Its a little cozy place near Liverpool street. We ordered a small Rose wine and Halloumi Dadinhos for nibbles. The wine was quite nice but to my surprise the Halloumi Dadinhos was quite exquisite and yum. The place is a little expensive but given the location it seems fine.

Retail Monday offer is a bargain, and the staff helped us pick out a few nice bottles. Also love the cheese & charcuterie mix & match options as there's loads of choice, and great quality suppliers. The menu changes seasonally, so always something new to try. This is a very cosy little branch, so very buzzy and lively in the evenings. Booking in advance is essential, it is a popular spot!

Fabulous. Tiny place but great for business lunches or an evening with friends. Not at all expensive either - a great find in the middle of the hustle and bustle.

A surprisingly intimate environment for being so centrally located. Great wine list and selection of small plates.

Great location for an afterwork, cosy dinner and especially a date. The food is super, especially the cauliflower and the meat as a main dish. The wine flight is a good recommendation to try multiple different things and get the best of the experience while combined with the starters. Great collection of reds as well

The food was excellent as ever, but it was the wine and the service from Marcello that makes the Humble Grape such a great place to visit. So good to find superb and affordable wines by the glass - a champagne, a riesling and a valpolicella. Thanks again Marcello!

And then there’s Chef Courtney, whose beautifully crafted dishes are a highlight. From the tender, perfectly braised short rib to her on-point medium steak, she truly understands what her guests want. I like my steak medium, and she delivered it just right—a true sign of someone attuned to her guests’ needs. Karen, with her extensive wine knowledge, recommended some fantastic selections tailored to my taste, and their wine list is versatile enough to suit every palate and pocket. Every visit here is a joy, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I think you should treat yourself and do the same!

Enjoyed the evening but could only book a slot for 90 minutes on-line. This meant there wasnt time to eat (other than chips) and it was a rush to finish the bottle of red we had purchased, in essence the slots need to be longer as we ended up spending more money at a different venue just because we had to move on.

Had a beautiful catch up with a friend who I hadn’t seen in 31 years. The place was perfect for our reunion and the service we received suites our special moment !

This is one of the best food/ dining experiences I have had in London. A very friendly greet, wonderful service and food and drink of the highest quality. The wine flight was exciting and tasty, the cured meats and cheeses were delicious and the atmosphere was warm and buzzing. Cannot wait to go back!

Great experience in this lovely winery a few steps from Liverpool street. The ambiance is lovely and the service is very good. Marcello is super friendly and made us feel very welcomed. There is a lot of variety of wines and their quality is really good. I loved the cote du Rhône one. They also have food menu and you can pick nibbles or mains to accompany your wine. I highly recommend this place. Thank you!

Excellent time at Humble Grape, such a little find. The atmosphere was great, choice of wines outstanding, we had the Champagne by the glass, next time I will be choosing a bottle from the huge selection you can see around the wine bar. And excellent service too. Very busy, people in and out, I am not surprised as it is busy. Def will be back... I highly recommend booking!

Nos topamos con la Humble Grape mientras buscábamos un restaurante no de cadena con buena comida y vino cerca de Liverpool Street. Es más un bar de vinos con una excelente selección de vinos. Sin embargo, el menú es mucho más inspirador que el de un bar de vinos promedio. Es un menú pequeño (no es un problema. Preferiría que este sea el caso con buenos ingredientes y cocinar) y por desgracia algunos de los platos ya no estaban disponibles (de nuevo una buena señal por 2 razones - la calidad de los platos, así como la probabilidad de que la comida no está sobreabastecida y servida al día siguiente). No podíamos fallar lo que comimos. El servicio era casual pero eficiente, y acogedor. Es probable que se convierta en un lugar favorito.

My husband and I come here regularly. We love here! Their food is always super delicious and their wine selection is incredible! They always impress us with amazing wines. Their monthly specials of wine and food is also something that I always look for. It’s not a huge place but very cozy and friendly atmosphere. Plus, just a few minutes walk from Liverpool Street station, so convenient. Highly recommend for anyone for any occasion!

Super cute and lovely inside. Food was amazing, specifically the burrata and cauliflower. Service did ruin the experience unfortunately, we felt really neglected throughout the night. We had to ask for the bill three times and on the third were told it’s just a QR we scan and pay through that. It was hard to get anyone’s attention- it felt like staff were trying to ram more people in rather than giving normal service to existing guests. It was really hard to move around and to get to the bathroom as well, we just felt like sardines. I don’t think I would come back but I would recommend Passione Vino which is also a wine bar and nearby.
