Visited this Wednesday morning 14 th August different cook from previous weeks, bacon roll simply awful, under cooked cold fatty bacon, also no coffee in machine owing to people filling up flasks with coffee and the staff actually helping them do it and they hadn't even bought a thing, shall be avoiding if same lad is cooking

Hot plates, nice hot food and first class service from the new staff, I thought I had gone to the wrong place, so glad to see that Morrisons have sorted out their cafe.

Breakfast good value, tasty, prompt service, coffee machines out of order. Tables filthy and not cleared. Several members of staff stood around talking. Staff walked past dirty tables piled with dirty dishes. Sorry guys it's all about presentation would you eat in a restaurant with dirty tables? See how other supermarket cafés keep their surfaces clear and clean and take note.

Cheery staff, ordered 2 Caesar salads, was good( but no bacon bits) with carrot cake, orange juice & coffee came to under £20 Large portion, fresh crisp lettuce, chicken, Parmesan. Carrot cake was moist & tasty. Far nicer than anticipated. The only down side was the air conditioning above was very brisk & my hot drink chilled quickly.

We were shopping at the start of our holiday and thought we would eat here for convenience, it was a bit chaotic, the area could have been cleaner and to order the food was not a clear process, we ordered food and drinks but no instruction that we were to just collect our drinks from the shelf, in the end I helped myself but felt bad for doing so, the service was ok and the food nice enough just need to keep it cleaner and be clearer on the ordering process.

We visited this cafe before doing our shop in Morrison’s. I was almost put off immediately due to the amount of messy tables around. Each empty table was covered in dirty left over food and drinks. The floor was filthy. The staff clearly didn’t know what they were doing, the condiments were empty and Un stocked. The cutlery was grimey and in a greasy tin. The food arrived, it was ok for the price. Unfortunately we then noticed a member of staff licking her fingers and handling the food!! This was the last straw and we left our food and ask for a refund as I wasn’t going to eat somewhere where there are such poor food hygiene practices!! Shocking!

Stopped whilst picking up some provisions for a few days at a friend's. As expected at Morrisons a good fresh, well priced and good quality selection.

Like everything at Morrison's, one can expect value fir money. The staff are very pleasant and the quality of the food served is top drawer, considering it us attached to a busy supermarket.

We came for Sunday carvery when we visited Dawlish. The food was good, although the beef was a bit chewy. The Yorkshire puddings were huge. Service was quick and friendly and the Covid-19 set up was good. We would return if we came back to the area.

Met up with family as we had come down to visit. We were very surprised 😯 with the sloop, being a hungry horse we are used to them being noisy and dirty. We were so surprised and we were allowed to take our 🐶 in. The staff were lovely and most importantly so was the food.

Bovey Castle is certainly a beautiful and interesting location. However, with all their grounds parking spaces are a premium. Eventually, we were offered a space in a coned off area. A very well appointed building as your would expect for a Five Star Hotel. We began with an aperitif 'Gusbourne English Sparkling' which was superb. A absolutely delightful bar. Smith's Brasserie! Well, let's begin with the positives. Excellent welcome and staff were fantastic throughout our Birthday lunch. Extremely unimaginative menu to say the least. A nice enough starter. Perhaps would have expected freshly made mayonnaise, not from a bottle, in such an establishment. Pleasant enough bottle of rose, although there was a choice of ONE. My wife (Birthday Girl) and I opted for pasta dishes. Absolutely clueless when it comes to pasta dishes. Packet spaghetti with prawns (four small ones) and a Provencal sauce? Very little of it too. It is an Italian dish and the sauce requires mixing in the pasta. Tagliatelle, again from a packet, with some type of utterly non-descript cream sauce at the bottom of the dish. Totally unseasoned dishes. The cooking water needs to taste of the sea. Therefore, seasoned. No offer of cheese or pepper or pangrattato, nothing, and certainly no theatre. Huge improvements required I'm afraid to make an enjoyable dining experience. Dress Code: Expectations, as you would imagine were high. Staff were smart, but could have been better attired for such a hotel. Clientele: Lots of jeans and un-ironed tee shirts wondering around and dining. A pair of football shorts and dirty trainers at one table, others with feet on the chairs in the bar and the final straw was a couple arriving in towelling dressing gowns and flip flops. NO! Sorry. There's a time and a place and this is not acceptable. Unfortunately, this was a lunch to judge if a weekend stay would be appropriate for our anniversary and it simply is not good enough.

We was on a pub tour of the area and passed this on a way to another pub and thought “oh this looks quaint” sometimes the most impromptu pubs are the best and this one certainly is! Four ales were on draft we opted for the salcombe gold Which was excellently kept. I loved the laid back atmosphere with dog friendly sofas. They have a beautiful boxer dog named boots who greets you on arrival who is loving in nature with people and dogs. Very chilled and dog friendly and I will certainly visit again and stay for longer when I’m next in the area. Whatpub online does not hype this place is much as it should.

Sorry to say the service levels are not what they used to be. A welcoming smile would be nice.
