Morrisons Minehead Cafe in West Somerset

One of the best Morrisons cafes on the network. We had the fish and chips, the fish was lovely and all delivered promptly. This cafe is quite unique as they are keeping up with the cleaning! We were served by a young man, who was very friendly, professional informative. He never seemed to stop, he was seen cleaning the food area, refilling the cups, cleaning the tables and helping customers, you need more staff like this one! Thanks

Ordered on self service till and changed fried egg to poached and black pudding. The only fresh were the egg and black pudding. Bacon had to dried to high heaven sausages are small. And what happened to the toast it’s tiny. Not a great breakfast and wasn’t even busy. No salt and had to look for the ketchup not a brilliant visit

We used to love morrisons cafe as the food was a great price and the quality was really good!! But over the last 2 years it has decreased rapidly. Price has gone up a fair bit which is understandable but the quality is so so poor now. We went in today - The Lasagne was clearly a microwave meal and a cheap tasteless one at that but not only that it wasn't put in long enough so was UNCOOKED and cold in the middle! The chips accompanying it also came out cool. The pie however had been put in too long and the bottom was so HARD you couldn't even cut through it. Kids portions are TINY now also. Won't be coming for lunch or dinner again anytime soon unfortunately after at least 4/5 bad experiences over the last 2 years which is a shame because we love it before on a week night with the kids. You could tell by how empty the cafe was how much it has gone down hill - not just the Minehead one but all Morrisons cafes. We will still pop in for breakfast every now and again though as although quality has gone down a bit on these too they are decent enough for a cheapish brekkie!

Good value especially with a free child’s meal. Love the vegetarian breakfast and I’m not usually a cooked breakfast fan!

Great service and the food was very good too! Ordered the ultimate fish and (chips), the fish was white and big flakes, with crispy batter, mushy peas. We were able to swap the chips for an alternative too! Also ordered the meat free bangers and mash. The mash and peas were tasty, but the sausages weren't good, pale and dried out, hence the score of 4. Also ordered the cake and a drink deal at £3 each, bargain! Great latte and cake as well. Always helpful staff. Constantly trying to keep the place clean and are very accomodating.

Was in the area & decided we would have breakfast all self service ordering system take your number to table & they bring the food to you, well just sat down after ordering & the food arrived immediately it was cold unappetising the fried bread was a crust that you couldn’t eat the rest was a sad cold pile of grease. I called a member of staff over & said it was awful she said she would get replacement I said no don’t bother I have lost my appetite she said a manager would sort a refund & to come to the till the manager proceeded to serve every one first & then asked did you pay by card I said yes she said put your card in the machine I did & put in my pin she never said sorry about the food or tried to make any other conversation when the transaction was finished she just walked off how very RUDE & like I say you wonder why you get 3 & half on Tripadvisor perhaps it’s cause your food is cold greasy & your managers customer service is diabolical come on Morrisons pull up your socks 😡

Staff here are so rude, speak to customers like dirt and offer no help at all. I was spoken to like a complete idiot for asking a question, all the woman on the till did was keep repeating the same phrase at me over and again. She clearly needs to do a customer service course and learn how to speak to people properly! Customer service desk was also unhelpful, rude and didn’t care at all. Really poor service.

Ordered a vegetarian breakfast and also vegetarian sausages with mash. The meals weren't too bad, but the overall experience was let down by a slow ordering service and the cleanliness of the place. I had to go through about 20 mugs to find 2 cleanish ones and the coffee machines were filthy....Morrisons need to improve on this part

The most SHOCKING breakfast ever, disgusting. Customer service was rubbish, everything undercooked, egg shell in my egg.. hash brown had hairs in it. Needs closing down to be honest. The deals said online is an utter lie so told them to update it on internet and I got given a dirty look. Don’t even bother wasting your money.

Visit the bishop Auckland cafe for breakfast the breakfast was cold coffee is Luke warm was told by member of staff to put hot water in my Cappuccino to warm it up I did was no better made it more cold I tried other hot drink and all the same cold they need a new machine as this one just gives you Luke warm or cold coffee in end just got bottle pop went somewhere for hot coffee not worth trying to get the new thing by 4 to get hot drink save your money not worth it

Chips were undercooked and hard,complained to Waitress and was told,sorry but can’t do anything about it,so had to leave the chips .

Called in today for meal all the specials which are available after 3pm were not available at 3.30 pm if they ever were. Ended up with a lukewarm Latte as all the cups were not clean used a takeaway cup lid did not fit. Place not surprisingly was almost empty a pathetic excuse for a cafe let alone restaurant if the hygiene inspector calls I expect it will be shut down.

Had to climb over the middle aged lady filling the self serves although the store was open at 7am, we had no choice than to use these tills, and I think she must have got out of bed the wrong side, as we were treated appallingly by the lady...practically ignored, it was not our fault the machine kept asking for assistance, for the other member of staff looked so embarrassed us, we should have walked out with this level of service, but we needed some breakfast items.

This was a simply outstanding breakfast at a simply outstanding price. Superb quality food, fast and friendly service and terrific value for money. Taking advantage of the ‘kids eat free all day’ brilliant promotion, we were able to feed 10 of us for £40 including drinks. The portion sizes were great. My Ultimate Breakfast had the works for just £6.99: two bacon, three sausages, two hash browns, two field mushrooms, grilled tomato, fried egg (choice of how this came), two black pudding, beans and a wedge of fried bread. I have rarely eaten so much and it was all delicious. In fact, we all ate like kings! Portion sizes for adults and children alike were fantastic and there was not one single complaint (an achievement from my family!!) Brilliant quality, brilliant service, brilliant value. At these tricky times, all I can say is ‘Very Well Done Morrisons’ and ‘Thank You’. The PERFECT start to our holiday.

When you think of a supermarket breakfast you think BIG, cheap and filling. Ordered a large breakfast and it was tiny... 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 1 hash brown, 1 mushroom, 1 black pudding, 1 slice of toast, 1 egg, small pot of beans... and that was over £5! to add items it's 75p per item! Also that didn't come with a drink not even a little cup of tea!? It was all a bit poncy to be honest. They are trying to be to fancy for Morrisons. Stick to cheap and easy! Don't get me wrong it was nice... it's just not a Morrisons breakfast. Wish we went to the Brewers Fayre would have been cheaper for more food.

Came to minehead Morrison’s to get a few bits got to the checkout there was at least 2 members of staff not wearing masks and the man attending the self service was coughing and spluttering saying he should have called in sick will not be coming here again ever !!!!!!

Avoid busy periods as the wait is horrendous. When food does come it's great usually although it's very fatty not fresh enough sometimes. It is convenient though with free kids meal after 3 .

Visiting Minehead from The Midlands, came across Morrison's while having a walk around the area. Went for a coffee and lunch. ,food piping hot and served within about 5 minutes. The staff were extremely helpful showing me a much quicker way back to my hotel.

Had lunch here the other day. The bacon in the bap was cold. My husband had a medium breakfast, the sausage was tasteless scrambled egg cold. Such a shame tat this seems to now be the experience in several Morrisons restaurants.

When shopping this is an ideal place to stop for a coffee but not so for a meal. they tend to be bland as is most Morrisons. Service was good and the staff helpful.
