Morrison's in-store cafe in Tameside

I have never been served something like this in my life. Inedible. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast with poached egg. Coffee £2.50. Breakfast £7.00. I waited 20 minutes for it to come out. It wasn't busy in the café. There was nothing edible on the plate. Smashed avocado in a little pot?Beans in a little pot. The poached egg was solidified. Two veggie sausages which looked truly sad! There was also a few mushrooms which were just mush and no room. They tasted like they'd been fished out of the washing up water! I tried each item, all cold. Oh...there was also some tinned tomatoes. I really wanted them to take it all back and even just stick it in the microwave ... anything. I just left. Felt ill for about 3 hours after. Really disappointed. Note to self, make your own in future, save yourself £9.50. 🧐

WOW clearly a staffing issue but what a pigsty! Filthy tables, area around coffee machines disgusting.had to ask for cups and then cutlery……staff lovely but won’t be coming back anytime soon!

Dirty table,did ask for it to be cleaned,not done. Fish batter ok ,cold chips(french fries), cold mushy peas. No small spoons . This not usual Morrisons standard have been to other Morrisons and this is letting the company down badly. They need to look at the reviews and sort this out.

We visited at 12 lunch time and there was no cups to get a drink no cutlery and a queue of people who had paid but were unable to get their own drinks. Our table was not cleaned. There was no urgency from the staff to sort out he situation

Met friend for coffee and cake. Difficult to get a clean table as non cleared so had to do it ourselves. Issue on coffee machine but took ages to resolve as only 3 staff and doing other jobs e.g serving. Initially no cups/cutlery available and again not sorted due to lack of staff . Existing staff are great just never enough.

After the extensive refurbishment in store was hoping the cafe would have improved also. Unfortunately was very disappointed. Many dishes 'not available' on ordering. Coffee machines still not working properly - pressed for cappuccino & got mocha! People were leaving the queue as they were hearing all the dishes not available. Between us, our 6 slices of toast & 2 poached eggs took 30 minutes to arrive and were barely warm. Think the cafe needs looking at quickly before they lose more customers.

Ordered ultimate breakfast was missing a sausage a mushroom a tomato and a slice of black pudding....and a cappuccino..Cappuccino was cold breakfast also and missing items never again...revolting

Same price but reduced items on the breakfast. wetherspoons is miles better!! Came and ordered a traditional breakfast. One hash brown, 2 burnt bacon, only brown bread, for £5.50!

Average breakfast for the very reasonable price, food could of been warmer but it was still tasty, the cafe area had a very canteen feel, not comfortable.

Met up with friend ( it’s a 50min drive.) Menu was awful place was dirty and couldn’t find a clean tray amongst about 20. Custard tart was 1/2 thick and pastry was stale and tasteless. Wanted coffee there was none so made do with Hot chocolate which wasn’t hot. Table were dirty and not cleared although the place was full. A shortage of staff and girl doing the cooking and clearing away was trying her best.

Called in 9am on Tuesday for some breakfast and was very disappointed that tables hadn’t been cleaned. Also drinks and cutlery area very messy too. No napkins available. I couldn’t help but notice that the used tray rack was filthy and must have been harbouring all sorts of bacteria. I’m surprised at Morrisons cafe being managed so badly. I won’t be returning to the cafe although shopping experience really good.

I made the mistake of trying eggs Benedict here, please do not be fooled by the pictures on the menu. what i was served was vile, i wouldn't allow a dog to eat it. When the lady asked if everything was ok with my food she simply smiled and walked away. the coffee was at least drinkable but the area was filthy. so the scores on the doors are 0/5 - food 2/5 - cleanliness 1/5 - customer service 3/5 - coffee I think i will stick to greggs

Always busy in the cafe, great breakfast and decent portions, nice staff. Very clean. Great choice on the menu.

nice food. good size portions. most of the staff are nice but one of them an older man is rude.overall goodand staffare good at helping you if needed.

Had lunch on Thurs 21st Feb and wished we hadn't bothered.!!! Re heated fish and chips,stone cold garden peas.Bread and butter not brought out.No one could reach the condiments etc being filled by a member of staff who wouldn't move over.We then had another member of staff sweeping under our table and moving chairs,we asked did he need to do that to which he replied YES.There were other tables upset and one gentleman complained to someone in the kitchen, the restaurant was unclean and needs a deep clean.Lovely makeover wasted on staff with no pride.

Morrisons is disappointing I occasionally have coffee there I don't like the fact that there is so much plastic waste -the small plastic pots of milk that are disposable I have only had a sandwich there which was Ok but the breakfasts must leave a lot to be desired because of the food waste I know that the eggs are brought in ready cooked so little of it is actually fresh !

Dirty and wet trays in the stack. Not a good start. Morrisons is usually a reliable catch-lunch place. Not today. No lasagne. No pies. No naan. Asked why they don't take a naan off the shelf in the store and heat it up. "Because of allergens". Poppycock. Come on Morrisons, give your staff the opportunity to show a bit of initiative if you can't supply them the stuff to cook. Food was quick and acceptable.

It took 45minutes for us to receive our food but it did taste nice but not great service but overall I would rate this average

I ordered the big breakfast and thought it good value for money. I was surprised they served it even though my egg had broken whilst cooking, but still enjoyed it. The service was reasonable and the fayre is traditional but for what you pay, its very reasonable.

Went for a Sunday afternoon snack,but unfortunately, it was very busy. Ordered 2 toasted teacakes and waited about 30-40 minutes for them.

great staff and great food for everyone and its cheap have't had any problems there its like my other home as in there alot of the time

Used to be a nice little place until a few weeks ago, but it is now difficult to find clean tables and food served cold. Heard a lot of raised voices from kitchen.

Came for a family dinner and waited 1 hour 20 minutes for are food to arrive and when it arrived it came all wrong. Wouldn’t give us a refund at first and one member of the staffs attuned was disgusting. Working in this type of environment myself it was a low standard of customer service.

The cafe has recently been refurbished and look very nice. The food is of reasonable quality and in the main is served in reasonable time. Tables for 2,4 or 6 people are available and it’s fine to just sit down and enjoy a coffee.
