Morrisons Cafe in Glasgow City

After ordering 2 dishes and paying on the screen provided was informed there was no fish dish. As selected on a 2 for £12 required a refund to reorder another meal that was not on the offer. Server said she would need to get manager to authorise refund and to reorder. After around 5 minutes a rather disgruntled woman came out, was curt and rude in her manner, apparently this was the manager! Sorted order, thankfully I was aware she did not enjoy her job and was patient with her unnecessary animosity. Cruz saved the day, a wonderfully helpful cheerful character such an asset to the team there, should be the manager in my opinion, as able to diffuse situations and provide excellent customer care.

Always good but they ALWAYS get the order wrong, every time there’s at least one item which is different from what the menu said 🙃

I feel sorry for the staff as some of them try really hard. They are often really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food is pretty bad even the cakes are usually too hard or dry. Its one saving grace is kids eat free with adults. Useful if you don't have any other options.

Went for some breakfast today with my son. Tried getting the order on the screen but didn't show all items on menu. So went to till. Waited 10 mins plus and no one served me. Eventual a person came out and instantly had a growler of a look on her face. She approached the till and just looked at me. I waited for some sort of cue she had activated the till and was ready to take my order but, nothing. Eventually she snarled " whit ye waaaantin " I politely said, the kids chicken dippers please. Again I was snarled at " whit ye want wae them" I began to say, well chips if possible or whatever they come with. But was met with another absolute death stare. I then asked if she was alright and commented her attitude was terrible. She went back inside the kitchen and started shouting to her colleagues " did ye hear that ... he said....." I've dealt with her a few times and she's not got the best customer service on a good day. Very short and not very well spoken. Obviously the snow today and the possibility of being short staffed ect and having an extra workload amplified her usual distain for her job to scrooge level 100. I witness people daily having to enter the kitchen to shout staff out to be served. I find that somewhat cheeky and would never do that. I'd rather wait politely like I did today. Yet its me she has a pop at. She simply can't be taking things out on customers. Felt like it was my fault for ordering food. Manager was very understanding and possessed great customer service skills though. And incidentaly there is a man that works the cafe who is one of the most friendly and attentive people you could be served by. He really is someone the rest of them should aspire to be like.

There is not too much selection an tasty food as other restaurants in the UK. But , only the economic station around there which I found .

Why do you guys always forget to include the avocado? I paid for it & I expect it. It's not hard to check your orders before they go out.

Terrible service today. Food wasn’t great my brother asked for a refund was met with “what do you want!” No customer service no apology. Where has good customer service gone!

Tracking app not working properly so don’t know if it was on time, early or late

Well food was fine but whoever cleans that toilet needs to be informed that you're meant to dilute bleach before cleaning with it because i came out of there struggling to breathe and eyes watering from how powerful the stench of bleach was in there. Pretty sure i have burns in my nose from that. Also to the woman who worked in the cafe, we do not need a 5 point lecture on ketchup to plate ratio allocation, we simply asked for one ketchup each for our breakfasts. Thanks. Also no options for allergies, gluten and lactose intolerant people be aware.

I wanted a healthy choice for breakfast so ordered poached eggs on toast with avocado, was told to wait to find out if they had any avocado...fair enough, then to be told they dont have any poached eggs, pathetic excuse for cant be bothered poaching a couple of eggs, what next....dont have any toast....pull the other one, will never use Morrisons again as the management are either mis treating the staff or cannot motivate them.

Cutlery is disgusting. This is very unhygienic. The cutlery had not been washed with soap, just rinsed under cold water, still food on it. Vile. Despicable. Detrimental to my health. Undeniably disgusting. Absolutely horrid. Completely gross. Beyond vile.

I don’t know why they even bother having a menu ! There is consistently NOTHING available !!! Sorry no eggs , sorry no kids meals, sorry only breakfast today ….oh but wait but no sausages. It’s actually laughable given this is a Morrisons cafe based in a huge Morrisons store - go get the eggs from the egg isle !!! Last time I was handed an unwrapped loose tea bag when I ordered a tea. I will not be back , utterly ridiculous.

Shocking run on skeleton staff most of the menu items is never available chips always over cooked . Oh and it’s 10p for extra sauce avoid at all costs

The cafe stops serving food at 14.00pm and this is very odd since the cafe shuts at 6pm.

Service was great from the cafe, personally phoned me to tell me they didn’t have an item I ordered and added extras in to make up for it!

Well I ordered a breakfast thinking it would be pretty good after a 12 hour shift. Sent lorne sausage instead of link - hate lorne. No flat mushrooms, no black pudding. Pretty cold. I actually mistook the poached egg for boiled (perhaps it was). Zero point contacting just eat to complain as it’s very hard to claim funds back. (Still waiting on a 40 quid refund from November)

My order was missing a few items, the pizza was cold, and they sent the wrong drinks. All in all very disappointing.

Great value and, could be a bit warmer but nonetheless very tasty and fresh would definitely recommend

The afternoon tea for two was well worth the money. Fresh sandwiches filled corner to corner. The sweets where really tasty, but I would have happily swapped them for more sandwiches. A lot of food for 2. Great value for money and tasty too.

Got the ultimate breakfast and they replaced the 2 black puddings for 2 hash browns which was very disappointing. Food was barely warm. Also they didn’t read the delivery notes

Not great. Come here all the time as it’s our local supermarket. The last few times we have been in it really has not been good enough. Other than the staff being friendly in the cafe serving, the quality of the food served is embarrassing. Avocado served blackened. Eggs were solid. Parents got all day breakfast and it’s was literally swimming in grease yet each item was rock hard.

Ordered fried egg was asked to make sure eggs were runny on toast and husband ordered pouched egg on toast. One of the fried eggs were ok but the other has been broken and was just a chunk of yellow gunk on a plate. The pouched eggs came out as boiled eggs and when asked to re do them they had forgotten about them. I cancelled the order and was not given my money back Total inconsistency throughout. Only good thing is the front of house staff were friendly and the coffee good

Very poor service! The last time my mum in law, aged 89 was in she was refused a child's portion. Today she was allowed one! I asked for my mince pie to be warmed, this was refused as I might burn myself....although mum was allowed a hot meal!! It's all very illogical arbitrary and confusing

Staff get the 5 stars as the food is just average

They really want to renovate this place, mugs have tea stains in them, tables are uncovered and sticky, cutlery has marks on it. selection of food is poor. Card scanner for the points cards, hasn't worked for the past two weeks. Staff are great but Are fighting a loosing battle. Noticed a group of workmen in yesterday around lunch, every single one of them left their dishes on the table instead of putting them on the racks supplied. So the 1 woman doing that area has to clear all that. Time the manager got his finger out and got the place in order.
