Morrisons Cafe in Redcar and Cleveland

I am a member of a group From Age UK that meet every Wednesday morning from 10.30 till 11.30.Good drink and food if you want the best part is the chatting and meeting interesting people and helping lonely people.Anyone welcome just pop along and join us.

Excellent English Breakfast and free coffee refills at a reasonable price

A half hour wait, for a soup and a poached egg on toast, did not enhance this occasion in any way!

Ultimate breakfast can't go wrong

We were very rudely told trolleys weren't allowed in the cafe...there is no sign. Asked am I really vegan as they had put butter sachets on the vegan breakfast.

Dirty tables full of pots look like they haven't been emptied and cleaned all morning Dirty cups when getting coffee No teaspoons Need more staff.

Good food, quick to serve and good value 👌

What a joke this cafe is. A load of chairs on tables at 3pm, this place closes at 5pm. Why would someone start doing this 2 hours before the cafe closes? Causing wet surfaces trip hazards. Where is the health and safety? People clean 30 mins before closing time. Never seen something so silly in my life. Then customer service don't listen and can't understand you!!!!!

I’ve been to Guisborough Morrison’s cafe only a few times. I visited it once again the 14th July went with company. I bought us two breakfasts a two pots of tea and two doughnuts price was under £14 One pot of tea could make about two and a half cups tea.

Short staffed and place was very scruffy. One member of staff serving, sweeping the floors and clearing tables! Cannot blame staff its lack of employees.

Girl made us wait 2 hours for food and when it came it was horrible never come here / dirty tables

So dirty and horrible, most tables had plates left on them, the table we sat at was sticky if it wasn't the fact that we had ordered on entry I would have left. The coffee was cold when I picked it up(straight away from the counter no wait) i sent it back. The chips came cold . I got a meatball sandwich which was inedible the top of the bun was rock hard. We joked by banging it on the table. At that point we got up and left. Everywhere has an off day, I just glad we weren't sick from it 🤢🤢🤢

If its not self service anymore then some service would be great rather than having to wait and then ask for it.

At to wait over 1 hour and still didn't get food had to get a refund poor service avoid at all cost

Went to have dinner but told no hot food as they were understaffed yet there’s cafe staff sat at tables eating hot food at dinner time rush , good grief 😟

Ordered two bacon sandwiches, given cold as the microwaves were off, and only 3 staff on, reordered and they came back dripping in fat.no serviets to mop up the fat.

Large pot of tea was the limit of my experience.

Just had a sandwich and scone service was slow but food OK.

Is what it is ..good quality reasonably priced food

Ordered and waited 40/45 mins before asking what was happening with my order. Was then told it had been sat waiting in the kitchen as they hadn't realised it was me that ordered. No excuse, that. At least mention it or announce it. I've been sat in front of the till area attentivey waiting. I have no time on my lunch break now to eat it.

Abysmal. Called in at 10.45 today hoping for a brunch. There were plenty of tables to choose from, but they were mostly piled with dirty dishes. One table in particular, had so many dishes piled up they were in danger of sliding off the table. A member of staff took something to a customer and walked past the tables empty handed, not collecting any of the dirty dishes in her way back. So, we walked out very disappointed that a firm with Morrisons reputation should have allowed such a poor performance. People in the queue were also complaining. I don't normally give reviews, but I was truly appalled, as was another couple who also walked out and went elsewhere.

Efficient service from Daisy in the Cafe. Tables cleared quickly despite a busy time. Recommend this Cafe.

The fish and chips were very nice, and the crispy chicken burger was very nice. The only slight issues were that the fish had a few bones in it and there were many items on the menu which were out of stock but that is to be expected at any Morrisons cafe. EDIT: I came again a year later and the fish and chips were even better and had no bones in them. Unfortunately there were still many items outs of stock. 9/10. Would visit again.

So, food is quite nice, no doubt there. They clean regularly, and overall it's a nice atmosphere. Although, one thing really bugged me. Upon realising that the café itself doesn't sell a particular pasta salad I enjoy, I went to the main Morrisons shop attached and bought it there, and then brought it into the café. I bought my drinks and snacks from the café itself, and all seemed well. However, It was quite disappointing to be approached by a staff member saying that I cannot eat 'food from outside' within the café, which is very bizarre considering how what I had bought was indeed from Morrisons. Thankfully, I was allowed to continue eating this one time, but it just confuses me as to why this is a problem.

Food is great for the price and excellent quick service, lovely friendly staff, can't go wrong will definitely be back for breakfast sometime

Very nice food. Very nice seating. Very helpful staff. What more could you want?
