Morrisons in Redcar and Cleveland

Just needed to stop today. I found a safe haven in the Morrisons cafe. Staff were kind and friendly. Really blessed.

Went here for food and regretted it. Didn't have some stuff we wanted, waited over an hour for our food and there was only two of us, then when it came they got the order wrong and the food was all microwaved food, which made the waiting time even worse and it wasn't even nice and the portions were a rip off. Never AGAIN

Miserable staff not enough staff on tills

Ordered fish and chips the fish didn't taste nice at all the chips were ok but was very disappointed spending £12 on fish and chips and a drink

This is about Morrison's, not the Café. Well maybe it's a Christmas thing, or not . . But seems whenever I go into Morrisons things have been switched around. A bit confusing for all but especially for the elderly. Shelves a little light on things but might be nationwide.

I really used to love this café, but gotta be honest, last two visits, I've had to send food back as very cold, plus coffee machines need maintenance as always broke, also seems to be skeleton staffing. The little staff that are there tho work hard and are friendly.

Well, all around a very good groceries store with very good selection, it would be a lot better if they could be price wise a bit more competitive....same as before 👍

Food doesn't always come out hot enough

NOTHING WAS DELIVERED, said it was delivered 20 minutes ago. No number to call, called the cafe and it goes straight to customer service, no direct number. Requested a refund for both breakfast’s and obviously I’ve lost the delivery/ service fee. Not only lost money but now I have no breakfast. Never had a problem like this before, not happy.

Food ok but the person serving was friendly and welcoming.

Looks less than clean. No teaspoons out. Found something floating in my tea. Not just this store, I think they've all gone scruffy and untidy.

Decent hot beverages. Had to wait around five minutes at til area for cashier to show up and the only mug available had a chipped rim on it .

Stay away from the auto menu and see the person at the till.

Some days it .runs very well some days not so good... It does depends on the staffing.

Great selection and offers. Well worth it if you collect more points. Staff friendly and helpful.

Okay place to shop but last time I went to shop service was terrible

The food that came was nice, but £10 worth of items were missing.

Stopped by Morrisons Café for a good old English breakfast, and let me tell you, it was egg-cellent! The bacon was so crispy it practically gave me a standing ovation, and the sausages were so tasty I nearly offered them a round of applause. The eggs? Sunny-side up and smiling back at me – like a breakfast hug on a plate. And the cuppa? Brewed to tea-s perfection! Now, let's talk about Peter – the legend himself. He took our order, brought it over, and had a chat that left us sizzling with laughter. Honestly, the man’s service was so good, I was half-expecting him to offer us a refill on our fry-up. Top bloke, that Peter! All in all, Morrisons Café gave us a breakfast so good, we’re bacon to go back soon. Highly recommended for a cracking start to your day – just don’t forget to say cheers to Peter!

Used this cafe numerous times now , each time hoping it’ll be a little cleaner than the previous visit , only to be let down again , Coffee n cake was lovely , but the service is so slow and understaffed ! My cup had a lipstick mark on and my fork had dried food stuck on it !! Lots of coffee spills not been wiped up around the coffee machines , tables not been cleaned , and the floors were disgusting !! It was late afternoon and getting close to closing , a member of staff came out to mop the floor , what a joke !! She didn’t sweep before she mopped so mopped all the leftover food on the floor !!never moved any chairs just mopped around everything , Painful to watch !! Come on Morrisons sort theses problems out !! Check out your large amount of negative reviews , your losing custom employ some more staff to clean tables n floors and check cutlery …

Good food service and good prices

I only ordered beans on toast, no culinary delight, but the couldn't get that right! The bread had never seen a toaster for more than a few seconds, and thee beans were freezing. An absolute waste of time and money!!

Took my 2 Daughters for breakfast. I got Sausage and egg bun, my other daughter got a kids breakfast and the other bacon and egg bun. We all ended up leaving our food. I've never seen so much greese in my lift it was running off the eggs. Soaked through my bun it was absolutely disgusting £14 it cost me absolutely disgusting. I expect some greese but it was running off the plate. Never again

Only went in for cuppa, which was ok. I had to use wipes to clean the table as it was not in a good state.

Had to go back to resolve over charge. Lucky for me a supervisor was there to help me thank you so much.

A good place to get your regular shopping and a few luxury items, plenty of checkout options depending on the amount you get. The deli and the hot food counters are always worth a visit.

Sorry to say this but have gone down hill over last year regularly arriving cold and often items missing

Last visit hardly anyone in and told 45min wait for food. About 20 people in. Left the food, just had Tea which I have to drink black because ot's not served with fresh milk It only comes with that horrible uht type.

For the price paid it was not worth the money 3 big breakfasts and well not worth the money. The eggs came cold not even Luke warm, bacon was OK but if it was cooked more it would of been like leather. The only good part was the toast with butter and the beans.

Canny nice vegan breakfast served here. Unfortunately no plant milk options so no coffee to go with.

I usually order from here and never generally have a problem, the the last delivery breakfast was unedible. It was burned over cooked not as listed on items there was things missing that I had paid for. The hash browns were wet. Was clearly prepared by someone who had no care duty or attention. I applied for a refund as the whole thing went in the bin. Was declined a refund. Just eat are getting really hardwork to deal with. If something is wrong it needs to be rectified as it’s ridiculous.

Dreadful cafe is so expensive and not value for money didn't enjoy the experience. Again. Won't use shop ever again standards across the shop well down nothing changed worse than ever

Terrible service staff completely ignored us when at the till, too busy talking, meal came out slapped down on the table and walked away really rude, will not use again ever

Tried to catch the driver as they forgot the 2 drinks I ordered, they just drove off. Orders really should be checked before being sent out, it's not like it was a big order. Plus the food was cold.

01.06.24: Still a shambles of a place, same old same old...no trays, no cutlery, minimal staff rushing about like headless chickens. Oh well gave it a second go, absolutely no way there will be a third time. ****************************************** No trays available at the counter so had to track an assistant down to get one, ten minutes standing in a queue to be served with two sandwiches and a pot of tea, dirty cups which had to be changed then another 30 minutes sitting waiting for one plate of chips! Shocking. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Use this cafe at the very least 3 times a week. Great staff!

Morrison's cafe is regularly under manned resulting in delays getting food when busy. Management putting profit over customer service. Poor staff are run ragged at times.

Fried egg and Fanta Orange missing - £2.50 down!!

I ordered a full English. Food tasted quite nice although I did ask for my eggs to be runny and they weren’t. But the main issue is, they put the butter for the toast on top of the tinfoil. So when I opened it up melted butter went everywhere 😅

Food was cold and portions was small got a full English was more like a kid’s breakfast sausage was burnt and looked like there had been pre cooked and heated up bacon was like two pieces of sliced ham was very disappointed with it won’t be back again.

Far to understaffed. Young lad new to the job on the till at peak trading time. Ridiculous move. He was over charging and making a lot of mistakes. (Totally understandable - he was under pressure) then getting a refund for me and my friend took about 10 minutes. The tills should automatically over ride the kids meal deal including fruit and a drink to the correct advertised price of £3.50, instead of the £5.40 i got charged. Not being able to find a member of management who could authorise it! Somebody should always be available!!!! Then the queue of people waiting to be served was backing up as only one member of staff on one available till. Absolute chaos!

Morrisons was absolutely fine today not too busy , My only problem with Redcar today was after doing our shopping we had a walk around high street to get a coffee from an outside vendor near the clock and ended up going home because around six adults where sat in a doorway drinking alcohol and swearing, they also had an old Ghetto blaster banging away, We got in car and went to Saltburn for a Coffee.

The meal itself with its varied range of ingredients was good. What let the meal badly down was it wasn't carried in a thermal insulation bag, so consequently the meal was lukewarm to cold when I served it on a dinner plate.

the driver took far to long to pick up the food. as the the place had phoned me to inform me the food had been sat waiting for over an hour.

So we popped in for lunch last Friday - greasy fish cold chips and bullet peas - had to ask for sauces - 1 each, I had tartare my son had ketchup more are 10p each - I know they are expensive so would have happily paid -tea cups I tried 3 before I got a clean one cutlery was dirty we had to dig thank god I had wipes in my bag - we ordered on the screen touch machine - receipt paper empty again - bloke bringing food out basically said the cutlery was all clean when we told him why we’d put some aside from the “clean “ So no receipt but I do have proof on my banking app . Money down the drain ! If the manager Would care to contact me I’m happy to speak to him .

The Full English Breakfast is usually excellent, arrives hot with the beans and eggs both packaged separately. Today's offering was a luke warm mess, everything thrown into the same container - looked horrible and everything was soggy from the beans. Won't be ordering it again.

I used the free mobility scooter,after shopping very friendly staff security member carried my shopping to the car. Was so helpful made my day.

Fabulous service today from Tanya. We needed 45 kalencoe plants for Mothers Day which she sourced from other stores. Not only that, she is going to collect them for us and bring them to Redcar. Now that's fabulous customer service. Thank you Tanya.

Sadly the breakfast was only just warm very salty and I think warmed up to be sent out. Wouldn’t order again or recommend. We only live 5 mins away so no excuse for the quality of the breakfast we had delivered. The poached egg was good .

Went out for the boxing day sales. Everything was shut 🤔 apart from morrisons, so spent a couple of hours in here buying Christmas decorations for next year

Wanted a few things got all I needeed

Horrible place full of aimless zombies wandering the dark aisles randomly. They are probably in shock at the ridiculously high prices! Stock organisation is random, and you won't find any staff to ask. You might need a torch to see anything now that the shelves are so high and the lights are so dim. New security measures mean you can't get out without buying something, unless the overworked "self service" assistant gets around to pressing the button. The car park is free for 3 hours, but the spaces are tiny and it's the #1 place to get your car dented in Redcar. Avoid. Update: it's now in "Christmas mode". Double avoid.

Great deals always available and ample portions of tasty food.

Gave me a cheese toastie when my order was a ham and cheese, and forgot the black pudding from my partners ultimate breakfast. Otherwise food was good.

Convenient for me as I live nearby train station is across the road and bus stops.Only downside is its hard to get any help as no staff on shop floor and since its had a refurb it's so understaffed. Twice I've had to ask others shopping to help me get something from the top shelves and I'm 5ft 6.also lots of times no staff at bakery, had to wait and wait and then walk to find someone to help me.,this also happens a lot at takeaway and cake shop and it's getting worse lots of people I no complaining but it makes no difference, no staff on shop floor to help customers anymore. I am swapping to Tesco now

We waited 30 minutes for a cup to get tea inches end we got paper cups the girl on the till was doing everything it was a disgrace not enough staff one lady waited 50 minutes for her dinner three people asked for a refund in the end we got our dinner elsewhere it was not the staffs fault need more staff this was at Redcar store

Ordered hot food. Told there would be a 25 minute wait. After an hour we finally got our food. Cafe staff said just eat and Ubereats take priority. Will not be visiting again.

Nice and tidy store, little angry seeing out of date rolls in the fridges, some good prices some not so good. Smacks of rob Peter to pay Paul type deals. Not noticed any significant drops in prices contrary to reports of food price drops through media. Staff are always polite and friendly.

Chips were stone cold on delivery! The only item wrapped up well was a chocolate brownie that was in a box that was then wrapped in foil, shame this level of wrapping wasn't applied to the hot food!

Driver was at Morrison’s on time but Morrison’s put the delivery time back three times so the order was delivered 1hr 40 mins late. An item was missing and the food was cold.

Went to Morrisons Redcar and was spoken to at very verbally by the customer service representative as we were at the customer service desk and was told their is only 1 queue and turned the dancing skeleton off and slammed it down security can over as we answered back ( should be there from the start not jumped in ) had to get the manager only security had to find him says everything about customer service

Never have any tills open on an evening. Self service is ok for a few items but not a big shop. About time the introduced scan and go like Tesco or employee some staff for the tills
