Morning Star Café in Barnet

Working away, staying in the Premier Inn over the road. Decided to try a jacket potato with beans & cheese. Absolutely beautiful, soft and fluffy potato with plenty of beans and cheese. All for £6:50. Shame I don't come this way more often. 👌

A small family run business. Good service & reasonable prices.

Nice place to hang out, they serve a very good cup of coffee and the sweets are delicious..

Stopped off instead of walking up the road for late breakfast. Had ham egg and chips. Food was cooked nicely and a good portion. Would come back again.

Good choice of cafe fare - breakfast, baked potatoes, sandwiches etc. Portuguese snacks to eat or take away. Good value. Clean and bright.

Jeez £9 for a tiny coffee and toast! No wonder it’s empty

It was a dark and gloomy Friday, pelting down with rain, my partner and I had to take the car in to be serviced and MOT at the Robins and Day garage and as it was a major service it was a long wait. We decided to take a stroll around the area and as we were cold and wet, we found 'The Morning Star Cafe' and decided to take a chance and have our full English Breakfast there. It had everything you could think of Egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans, chips and two slices of toast and of course a cup of tea would not go amiss. Although it was empty and we were the only customers, they went out of their way to be helpful. The decor of the cafe was first class, lots of pictures on the wall and pictures on the ceiling of blue sky and white clouds. I would recommend this restaurant to any passers by and would rate it as excellent.

Good food, coffee, and the best pastel del nata (custard tart) I've ever had. Will happily come again.

The tables not that cleen no knife offed , no smile when i olded food

Friendly, nice coffee, nice Portuguese speaking customers, nice owners. Cafe back open for customers sitting inside. Football on the TV today. Nice atmosphere.

Little cafe for quick bite with alcohol licence. Good old chef with great quality home made food. Restaurant looks average.

Great stroganoff type dish with salad chips or rice bottle of good red wine coffee and cake for two people for 33 pounds all home cooked amazing !
