Moreton Arms in Wolverhampton

I like being able to order from the table. The staff are always friendly. The food is good. We ate at another pub of this chain and the food (and staff) weren't a patch on the Moreton.

Good food, courteous staff. Quick service, good variety of drinks and a varied menu. Place was full but a bit noisy on Friday night. Best mixed grill I’ve ever had.

The staff were very accommodating, as we changed the location of our pre-booked tables. They allowed for a tab to be created, which allowed for a single payment, for celebrating a 91st birthday. The food was delivered to each person at the same time, with no delays and was very tasty and hot. The drinks were reasonably priced and the pudding had a good selection. The only down side was mis-information, as we were informed that we could use a Meercat voucher when we booked and when we first arrived, however the Meercat voucher was only available Mon-Fri, which would have deducted £50.97 off the total cost of the meal. I would still recommend going to this establishment and will most likely return again within the next few months for more family celebrations.

Always a very good three course meal here. Booked for Sunday, an easy process using their website. Excellent food and service. Highly recommended. Great price as well.

We booked and pre ordered our food to help with speed, good came out together which was great as we had a table of 7. It was hot and tasty and no complaints, staff were cheery and happy to help.

All the staff were pleasant, the tables were kept clean,really enjoyed the real ale,ordered the steak special didn't have to wait long and it was cooked to perfection,

Our 1st experience in years and it was a pleasant one. The menu was very good with lots to choose from and the food was hot.

I don't recommend working here if you want to earn any money at all, or have a competent manager. I started working here, being told I would be getting 30 hours a week, working both the bar and kitchen, but I was told to tick the 0 hours box on the contract (which is dodgy enough as it is). I barely got 10 hours most weeks, and the rota was only sent, 4 days before the working week. After asking why, the reasons I got were "business was slow", "I didn't want to work in the kitchen", and the fact that I had holidays booked, meant they didn't put me on shifts, despite me telling them I could do early shifts on those days. As well as not being able to hold up the deal on the management end, when I'd be working in the kitchen with the manager, he'd shout to get this, that and the other done, while also telling you to stick to one thing, confusing everything and making the environment even more stressful. He barely knows the menu for the pub and isn't as good as he seems to thinks, when "working". I should also add that the way he seems to think burgers and well done steaks should he cooked, is in a microwave. I transferred from here to another pub, due to being told I'd be in a better positon. Instead of the transfer being done, I was put down as leaving the company, so my whole employment situation was up in the air for weeks, and I barely had any communication or cooperation at all, to help with the situation he put me in.

Great pub to visit, plenty of room, and the staff were very pleasant . Definitely visit again.

Food was served quickly and well cooked, we also took advantage of 30% off main course meals, great value! Mention has to be made for Beth who was very helpful and allowed us to wrap up the leftovers to put on our bird table at home.

I ordered food at the bar, pacificly asked for no sauce or salad with my meal, unfortunately they kept away the salad but was covered in bbq sauce, was unable to eat the burger bun or enjoy the cheese and hash brown on the top

Great service and incredibly friendly staff. Definitely one of the best pubs to go for a meal or to chill out at.

On arrival we were greeted and seated straight away. The bar staff ordering our food and drinks were helpful and quick. The food came out all at once for 6 people Starters and mains. Everyone in my group was happy with their food. It's the best pub meal I have had for a while. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely visit. 🥰

Lovely pub, friendly staff and great food

Lovley pub, warm and friendly staff, food was lovely and filling and was a perfect spot for a catch up. The only downside was that the chairs we were sitting on had no padding so after a while you ached from sitting for a period of time and there was no double cream only squirty cream which just melts straight away. More hot water I'm the tea pot so you can get 2 mugs out of it would be grand.

Excellent Sunday roast for £6.95. Lots of beef, Yorkshire pud & stuffing, and a wide variety of veg. Staff very helpful, highly recommended!

Didn't eat but enjoyed my evening in the Moreton

Here at the moment, we came for a roast. The creamy mash is lumpy, not creamy at all meat very dry, and bar staff rude, especially the bigger lady long dark hair rude, not helpful really lacks customer service skills despite her attitude we thanked her when she put the drinks on the bar she said nothing just ignored us and turned her back on us first and the last time we will be coming here

That's all this pub deserves. 1 star. The food portions for the prices are atrocious. Don't waste your money. £8 for the breast of a quail with a teaspoon of bbq sauce a few chips and bit of salad and that was meant to be hunters chicken lol

Good value for money good service good food . This has been my local for years always loved it but now it's got even better.

The atmosphere is brilliant and we have always had excellent service from the staff at the Moreton. Food always comes out within a suitable time frame and us always hot. Had Steak, jacket potato and salad. No complaints 👌

Food and service very good tonight

This pub accommodated our last minute request for food when we couldn’t find other places open. We arrived and it was served near straight away! That’s what you call service. We recommend this place.

Food is delicious, staff are polite and they go above and beyond. They will always greet you with smile, no matter how occupied they are. If you have blue light card, you get 20% off mains.

Moreton is comfy, welcoming and has a great bunch of staff who are always smiling and chatty and quick to serve you. Food is fresh and tasty. All leads to a great place to visit for a drink or a meal.

Me and my family’s 1st time Coming here our dinner was lovely piping hot didn’t taste tasted the best I’ve ever had we will definitely be coming again would definitely recommend this pub clean and friendly staff

First time coming here in 3 years I’ve got to say the food was lovely, nice and hot and good value really enjoyed it, staff was helpful my husband ordered the wrong Sunday lunch and the gentleman who came over to us was very lovely changed my meal straight away no questions it was very much appreciated.

Absolutely fantastic evening, great food and brilliant entertainment made it so much fun for our Son and his Fiance on a visit back home. Always a wonderful night for our family get togethers at our Local with food so reasonably priced.

Went for tea with a group of friends. Nice friendly pub. Staff were all friendly at the bar and when serving our food. I had fish and chips which was a good size portion and tasted great. Will definitely call in again.

Popped in this evening to have a little family catch up over a lovely meal. table of 8 adults 1 child. Really friendly staff. The Manager even came over to say hello and asked us about our food. All the meals were fab with no complaints, clean plates all around! Always a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend.

On the whole Moreton is ok,bit hit and miss sometimes but today the food was really nice.Took 40 mins but was worth the wait 👍🏻👍🏻

Went in for just a few drinks - no food, hence the average score for food. Service excellent, as ever. Ale very good. I don't understand why the bar staff cancel the 'tip' option on the card reader when it's so much more difficult to give a tip now we're mostly cashless. Be bold and highlight this option to customers. And why is Stella Artois the only drink option on the list of recommended dishes? I wouldn't ever recommend that rubbish, and especially not when there's decent ale on offer.

Sunday lunch at the Morton Arms was absolutely lovely today. The lamb shank dinner was so tender and tasty, veg , mash, stuffing, roast potatoes were very yummy. Really enjoyed today's dinner , would recommend to have a visit there. Would go a again. Staff very nice and friendly. People friendly too. Loved it.

Not the best food in the world but cheap and cheerful for a bite and a drink. Always enough staff to keep queues down.

They have ‘entertainment’ here now, karaoke and the like, and it doesn’t add anything. In fact when it’s on it puts a lot of regulars off. We like a pub where you can chat and not have to listen to out of tune droning

on June 17th 2024 I was promised a refund to my card by your staff for rotten food served.now it's a month gone and still no refund or reply to my phone call.i will not let this go as it's downright theft.so a speedy payment of 7.95 would be appreciated asap

Met up with family, all our meals were lovely and reasonably priced, also cater for the gluten free. The staff were friendly and efficient. Was lunch time and a calm , relaxed atmosphere.

Came here on the 9/07/2024 with my partner to watch the football and was absolutely appalled by the supervisor. She was very dismissive, uninformative and came across as argumentative. She also did a half a job at wiping down the table and came across as she just couldn’t be bothered, we even offered to move and she said it’s fine. Then my partner order the buttermilk chicken strips and popcorn chicken for £4.99 and receive the smallest bowl I’ve ever seen in my life really not worth the money at all! Literally 2 mini strips and 6 popcorn chicken (what a joke) The manger was the only one willing to resolve our problem Will not be coming here again!

We had a really nice experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was really nice, all three of us enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere in the pub was really nice.. We're planning on arranging all our future catch ups here from now on! Thank you to all of the staff, the female server with the long hair was lovely.

Lovely place to eat and drink we were there for a birthday meal didn’t disappoint

Overall not a bad experience. The food and price was good. The place could do with renovating however and the tables were sticky. It didn't detract from the experience too much though. Our kids starter was brought out at the same time as her main which was a little annoying as the main was going cold while the starter was eaten, meaning she didn't end up eating much of it.

Went here last week with a friend. Couldn't fault it. was able to book a table for the same evening. Greeted and sat as soon as we arrived. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food arrived in a timely manner and was lovely. Pub was spotless. Couldn't find a fault even if I tried. Definitely recommend and will 100 percent be returning.

Had a lovely meal with friends. I had lasagne and paid a bit extra for chips. It was the tastiest lasagne I've had in a long time for a very reasonable price. I will certainly go again.
