We had such a wonderful evening here with friends. It's such a lovely intimate venue but it's so welcoming and relaxed a place that you instantly feel at home. The food and the wine choices are excellent and fantastic value for money given the quality. The thing that really makes this place though is the calibre of the front of house team, simply outstanding. Can't wait to go back

We spent the afternoon enjoying a beautiful meal at Mor. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food and wine were fantastic and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Initially I was disappointed to find out on the day that the service was a fixed menu as I was looking forward to order my favourites from the a la carte menu, however, wow, not disappointed at all at the food served. Amazing quality, generous portions, exquisite selection. The service was great. All in all a great experience and looking forward to return.

Love the food here, it's always interesting, fresh and incredibly tasty! The tempura monkfish with massaman curry was fantastic!

Loved our visit to Mor, the food was beautiful, I would have picked everything on the menu, it all sounded delicious. I especially loved the tempura oyster with yogurt! Lovely atmosphere, I had a complimentary glass of Prosecco as it was for my birthday, which I thought was a lovely touch, the service was great, very friendly, helpful team. Will definitely be returning.

Mor is less - food was disappointingly average- ocean trout too salty and duck a bit tough.

Mor is always superb . The food is delicious & service good. The Sunday lunch is my favourite in Mumbles . Every dish is delicious. I have never been disappointed here.

We hadn’t been before, we went as a couple we didn’t know what to expect. The food was divine, all fresh produce supplied locally. Lovely place to wine and dine as a couple, with family or friends.

Excellent meal with friends. Small restaurant, maybe 20 covers per sitting? It was full tonight but doesn't feel crowded. The staff were great, attentive but not intrusive. The menu specializes in seafood but there were a few meat and veggie options and all looked amazing. This restaurant is perfect for a date night or a celebration with friends and family, it's not cheap but worth every penny. I'll definitely be coming back soon...

Stunning !! We have not been to this restaurant since it changed hands ,but after today's meal we can't wait to return. The interior is cosy,chic and inviting. We parked for free, pretty much opposite. It reminds me of an intimate French bistrot only those in the know go to. From the moment we walked in ,our service was absolutely perfect ! Our starters of mussels and Coquilles Saint-Jacques ,were delicious and presented beautifully. Our mains was a whole guinea fowl to share,with Sunday lunch trimmings, which included roast potatoes ,carrots,parsnips, stuffing,cavello nero, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. We also had a side of broccoli and cauliflower gratin. Every single element was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The guinea fowl was glazed with orange and tasted unbelievably good. The stuffing complimented it perfectly and all the vegetables were superb. (So often ,we have had Sunday lunch out and felt completely disappointed with vegetables being almost a last minute add on deserving no care or attention )This was not the case here ,every single thing was perfect. This is by far the best Sunday lunch in Mumbles and overall the best dining experience we have had in and around the area in a very long time in what is currently a very competitive market. We felt it was excellent value for money ,particularly for the level of service and standard of food. We are already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you so much to everyone at Mor!

The atmosphere was amazing and the lady running the front of house was great - she made our experience feel so special. They're super flexible with dietary requirements as well. Sin embargo, es nuestra primera vez con nuestro niño de 5 meses y no podían acomodar para él y el buggy. Môr es un lugar pequeño, por lo que nos preocupamos un poco por llevarlo a él y el buggy, pero 5 ⭐️ servicio y comida en general.

MoR serves wonderful and delicious food that is beautifully presented. Attentive staff and a quiet, relaxed ambience. By no means inexpensive, but the quality of the food justifies the cost of dining here. A standout restaurant experience in my opinion.

Llevábamos meses esperando nuestra visita aquí! Después de un poco de confusión sobre la reserva, Salma fue capaz de entrar para las 6 pm. Un restaurante acogedor que inmediatamente nos encantó el ambiente a pesar de que inicialmente éramos los únicos en el lugar! El personal pasó un montón de tiempo con nosotros, haciéndonos sentir como en casa un dcrather especial! Nos trajeron pan complementario y pequeños bollos de pastelería choux rellenos de queso crema y salmón ahumado. Delicioso! Para empezar, había ahumado caballa con yogur y cerillas de manzana - tan sabroso. Mi marido tenía vieiras, pudín negro con puré de chirivía. Dijo que todo estaba perfectamente cocinado. Para la alimentación, M marido tenía pescado de monje wellington con pequeñas patatas y hermosas verduras - dijo que los sabores eran impresionantes! Tenía filete de carne asada con patatas delfines, verduras de invierno, zanahorias hechas con puré de zanahorias. ¡Fantástico! Un pudín derretido de chocolate con cacahuete de café y helado fue el siguiente - mi marido dijo que era tan ligero. Tomé affogato con un trago de licor de almendras. ¡Increíble! Gracias de nuevo a un personal maravilloso - fue una noche hermosa! (Para cuando dejamos el restaurante estaba lleno.)

Vine para una comida de aniversario esperando comida increíble. Lo que obtuvimos, sin embargo, fue un viaje culinario. El servicio era impecable — nuestro servidor estaba atento, y bien informado. The quality of the food is simply superb. Unusual options that taste divine. I could have eaten it twice it was so delicious (I was full though as portions are perfect size) and licked the plate. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend eating here.

Brilliant small restaurant with great food and staff

Absolutely lovely meal! Attentive service and well-cooked food. We had the Seabass. We are dairy-free, so the chef accommodated our request fantastically. The dining room was cosy and had a fantastic atmosphere. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the accompanying vegetables were perfectly seasoned. I'm looking forward to our next visit. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent, well-cooked meal in a lovely environment.

Just finished our 3 course evening meal and without doubt one of the best meals i have had. Food was amazing and the 2 young front of house girls were first class. Would thoroughly recommend it

This was our third year in a row celebrating our anniversary at Mor. While the food is still excellent, sadly we found the service was not up to par this year. They were friendly, but clearly inexperienced, particularly for a dining experience at this level (e.g., the waitress didn't know the names of the cheeses, couldn't offer two words of description about the wine). We love Mor and so we hope it's still there next year, hopefully with staff just a little better trained.

Mor is in my opinion the best restaurant in Mumbles and Gower. The staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient with just the right amount of time in between each course. The food was excellent, I had the Crab Arancini with bisque to start and then the Duck. Warm bread and cheese filled choux buns were served as an appetizer with salt crystal butter, delicious. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend.

Amazing service. Amazing wine list. Amazing food! Love this new addition to the Mumbles food scene. I will be back !! We went on a Sunday and they were only serving seafood. 2 out of 4 of us don’t eat seafood but they were so accommodating and let us stay. We had the small seafood platter, scallops and oysters. They were all so fresh and delish I went back in January 2024 for dinner. Again the food was yummy although wine list was a bit shorter than I had remembered. The restaurant was packed on a Friday so I would defo recommend a booking! The food was delicious as before but service was very slow - they only had 2 people looking after the whole floor. Updated review: I went again in Aug 2024. I think the restaurant might have changed hands or changed chef? Wine list was not impressive as before and food standard has definitely gone down from a 5 to a 3.

Having had to think long and hard about writing this review....here goes. The standard of cooking and food presentation is superb at Mor and yes as many have stated the offering has changed since the new regime is in place. However, sadly the service and lack of experience of the staff on the evening we dined there was unacceptable and l left with no meal that night.my husband and I shared a main course as an error was made by the waiter upon ordering. The staff could clearly not cope with a full restaurant and there was no sign of any direction from someone more senior or with more experience to guide them. Perhaps some additional training would be of benefit in the long run.

We have been here a few times now. The food is always local, interesting and tasty. Tje last time I had the mackerel to start, the beef to follow and then the cheese cake. The beef especially was beautifully cooked, honestly one of the best mains I have had for a while. The wine list has interest, quality and some old favourites too. We will definitely be going back! Definitely worth a visit when I’m Mumbles. Afterwards back to Gim and Juice for a couple of night caps!

We booked mor for our wedding lunch last week. The restaurant were so accommodating and went above and beyond to make the day special. The food was absolutely perfect and we loved everything. A massive thank you to the team for making the day so special. Thank you

Visited Mor with friends and we were very impressed. Excellent ingredients, well prepared and presented either elegance. The front of house were attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The food and drinks were not cheap but were certainly good value for money. We’ll definitely be returning.

Fantastic quality restaurant. There’s plenty of chain restaurants in Mumbles, like Croeso and Bistrot Pierre, but if you want real local restaurant of quality, Môr is the one. I hope this restaurant becomes as essential as it should be to the village. It’s what Mumbles (and Swansea) has been missing. Mostly seafood based, the food balances the inventive, delicious and the comforting. We had: Gorgeous crab and avocado canapes Perfect foccacia loaf bread with homemade butter Oysters with a variety of flavours. I had pickled cucumber and buttermilk, and my friend had wasabi flavoured Starters were crab doughnuts and a spicey mackerel….yum! Mains were more traditional, with quality local fish and choice meats Desert was perfect chocolate parfait, elevated with some chef-y touches We will be back, the next time we’re treating ourselves. Oh yes…and the wine was great too. Always good to know.

I had an amazing time at this restaurant tonight. We were drawn in by the quality local produce and blown away by the quality of the cooking. The chef there is absolutely fantastic (and works by himself which is insanely impressive) everything was delicious. Pictured below is my starter (gnocchi) and my main (bass) and both were phenomenal in quality, taste and presentation. Truly an amazing dining experience and spectacular value for money. The atmosphere was intimate and comfortable, I like that it wasn't a huge place. The service was amazing too, Don and Erin made sure we felt comfortable and looked after. Honestly, I feel like this is how all places should be. A small business working with local vendors to create a unique experience that supports your local community. I can't recommend it enough!

I am speechless! The food and service from start to finish were outstanding. The flavours from each dish just blew us away. Presentation of the food was so sophisticated with superb attention to detail. This was fine dining without the extortionate prices. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and had such a lovely atmosphere. Compliments to the chef. This was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time.

Môr has changed management since August 2023, and is once again an excellent dining experience, leaving behind the previous tapas format (which we didn't like too much) and now thankfully back to a traditional à la carte three course menu, which we assume changes from day to day, depending on catch of the day. For main course, I tried the Gurnard, and my partner had whole Plaice. Both were cooked perfectly. Service was excellent, and we particularly liked the chilled background music. One thing worth pointing out is that this is a restaurant for a special occasion, and not really suitable for those 'on a budget'. The only thing we might have prefered, is if it had been a little warmer inside in cold weather. We will certainly be back!

Loved my trip to Môr recently. Had a starter and a dessert, as well as the complimentary bread. Food was really nice, though I felt a few of the sauces complimenting the dishes weren't 100% necessary. Overall though, I can't fault the ambiance, nor the fantastic staff who made the experience special. Will definitely be back to visit again.

Booked for two this evening with great expectations after reading wonderful reviews but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The venue, service & atmosphere were excellent but we both really struggled to finish our dishes. My starter took me back to my childhood, reminiscent of tinned mushroom soup! My main course was brill with crab dumplings which was awful! My husband had duck which was also difficult to eat-a huge portion of meat with no veg. We have eaten substantially better food for half the price. Such a shame. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all!

Lovely little restaurant in a great location. Our first time there and can't fault it. Lovely atmosphere and the service was great, most importantly though the food was outstanding. We're not usually dessert people however I would recommend the semi freddo with raspberry sorbet, amazing !! Will definitely be back.

Went as a group a few days before Christmas and was disappointed to find out that 2 of the mains from a small list weren’t available. You can tell the food quality is decent, and the ambition of the menu is there but overall the quality was not where it should be for the price point. Steak tartare, meat wasn’t the most tender and lacked overall seasoning and/or a dressing to tie it all together. Quail was nice, but it astonished me how a dryish meat by nature, did not come with a sauce of any kind. My wife had beef croquette (singular despite the menu saying plural) which was ok, more beef would have been better. For main she had a pasta dish which was tiny and more than 2x the price of countless better places in London - hard to fathom a vege pasta dish being charged at close to £30. We had multiple things wrong with the orders throughout the night, from requests not met, to dishes forgotten, to a corkage for a birthday cake slapped on the bill without any forewarning (understand why it is there but communicate that better, in the end I had to explain it to our table - not my job). I would come back as I like the environment and what they are trying to do, but the value for money would need to be significantly improved.

Another fantastic meal here. The idiom has changed since we were here last, away from small plates, but it really works. Still a hugely creative menu and the cooking is just excellent. And as ever, the best service anywhere!

Just enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch at Môr. The food was delicious with a varied menu. Between the 6 of us, we ate our way through most of the menu and were really impresssed by all the dishes and the accompanying wine. The restaurant itself was warm and inviting and the service was excellent, thank you Jamie. There was a great playlist on in the background that added to the ambience, we could have stayed there all afternoon and nearly did! We will be back soon….

Myself and my partner had the most amazing meal for his 50th ! from the start the bread and salted butter was delicious for starters we had mussels and mackerel oh my we was fighting over each others just stunning ,for mains we both chose the beef it was cooked to perfection just melted dessert was Stilton and barra baraith well let’s say I nearly fought my partner over this the sherry that accompanies it was superb I cant recommend this beautiful restaurant enough the atmosphere is relaxed and a good vibe it’s five stars from us the staff where just lovely

Wow what a little gem of a place! Everything was perfect, every mouthful delicious and front of house/server Rubi was a little star! Can highly recommend the cannon of lamb starter, best lamb i've ever tasted. The roasted beef fillet was apparently the best my partner has ever tasted. Lovely touches such as being asked if we'd like some freshly grated truffle on that and literally the most delicious warm bread & butter that we've ever tasted. Can't wait to return! Well done all at Mor and thanks for a lovely evening.

Booked, on line, well in advance for lunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Two days before received email asking me to confirm booking, which I did. Seventy minutes before our lunch booking had a telephone call to say that the booking system shouldn’t have allowed me to book as they were not yet open on Saturdays. No chance to get another booking for lunch at any decent restaurant in Mumbles. Not happy.

What a fantastic cost little restaurant the combination of Ruby’s warmth and good humour and the superb food was a truly wonderful it’s just a shame I live 4 hours away or I would eat here every week! As it was we came back for a second sitting the day after our first visit the steak tartare was sublime as was the mackerel but you really could not fault anything if you are considering going don’t hesitate you will not regret it.

Really disappointed on the sunniest day of the year! Service was terrible - although waitress did admit she was new. Food was slow to arrive between courses. The dishes were below par, although the hake and the steak were cooked well the accompanying sauces felt they were cooked by a trainee chef - over salted and too much butter on the hake and the sauce with the beef was average. Do not have the dessert at Mor - awful execution and end to the meal. Banana split and the chocolate salted caramel were disgusting. The blue cheese was served at the wrong temperature which made it unpalatable. For a mid range restaurant this should be better.

To start the service we received from the moment we walked in was 10/10. They made it feel very warming and calm. The food is probably the best food I've had all year. We started with the duck, Mackrell and lamb skewers - each one blew me away. For mains, we had the beef fillet and the roasted Gurnard - again mouth watering. Honestly, beautiful experience!

My friends from London came to visit me in Mumbles and I decided to take them to Môr - having never dined there before I was also looking forward to it. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was made fresh and the meat cooked perfectly! The staff are also very friendly and made our night. We would like to give a special thank you to Ruby and Jamie, those guys made our night memorable!

Our evening at Môr was one to remember. The food was sublime, atmosphere was perfect but most of all the staff were top class. Jamie our server was excellent! He had a great sense of humour and made us feel truly valued at all times (strawberries & custard was a great recommendation). It was our first visit to Môr and I can safely say the first of many, see you again soon!!

Had a starter of Smoked Mackerel & a main course of Sole. Both were cooked to perfection & tasted wonderful. Highly recommended & will definitely eat here again.

Booked ages ago for a family meal to celebrate son's graduation. Was sympathetic when they called to cancel a couple of days before due to staff shortages, it's hard to run a business. After drawing a blank with alternative places at short notice in graduation week, son called to ask for help but none really. I was a bit grumpy to receive an automated email confirming the cancellation and with text to say that they hoped to see me again soon so emailed to say so. Left it a week to allow time to reply but nothing - an apology would have been nice.

My partner had booked a table at Mor, with a booking fee, for my birthday this year. No issue with a booking fee typically, if the restaurant is worth it. However, this occasion was memorable for the all the wrong reasons. Upon arrival, we were told that it was ‘Tapas Night’. If we were told this when booking, my partner would not have booked. It’s not that we don’t like tapas, but it’s not what we both wanted or expected when booking. If it were not for the fact we had paid a booking fee, we would have left there and then. In retrospect, we should have. The extra blob is for the friendliness of the staff. However, it was clear that something was not quite right at the restaurant. We ordered a range of dishes, expecting them to come out in a sensible pattern. 4 starters, 3 dishes as mains. Three dishes, akin to most of the starters were fine and came out ok. However, what happened next really made no sense and spoiled the whole meal. My partner ordered the pork chop, whilst I ordered the beef dish, with a couple of sides to go with the meats. How the kitchen/staff thought that serving a solitary pork chop with nothing to accompany it was a sensible idea, but that’s what they did. So my partner had a very expensive pork chop to eat by itself, with me eating nothing. Then, a while after she had finished, I got the beef dish and the potato side. Almost immediately after that, the fourth starter arrived. So whilst my partner had a solitary expensive pork chop, I had the beef dish and all the sides. It was hugely disappointing. We raised this with one of the staff who advised us that the head chef had just left so they were doing their best to make their way through the service. Admirable, but considering the prices, this is something that the customers should be advised of so they can decide if they still wish to keep their reservation. Also, based on the food and service, it was by some distance, the worst meal we have had out, possibly ever. It was comedically bad in retrospect. Despite the complaints, they still expected the full payment, only offering to advise management of our issues. So all in all, a terrible experience, with absolutely no consideration to the change in circumstance. The restaurant should have advised us of the change in menu based on the loss of the head chef and let us decide if we still wanted to keep our reservation, with a refund if not. We wouldn’t have, with the experience backing this up. Then charging full price for what was a shocking service was also incredibly difficult to swallow. One place to avoid.

This brilliant, friendly neighbourhood restaurant would create a buzz anywhere – lucky South Wales. Spanish cooking with a Welsh twist, with a mix of main and smaller, tapas-style plates. Fantastic flavours - the lamb skewers, cockles and clams with morcilla sausage and samphire, and creamy, orangey, Crema Catalana (burnt egg custard) were a knock-out. We wanted to try everything on the menu. Lovely, knowledgeable front-of-house staff. Mor is an absolute delight.

Amazing food! the best Seabass I have ever tasted, the portions are fine dining sizes but really are so tasty the service was exceptional really looking forward to visiting again

MÔR | MUMBLES | SWANSEA 🌊 Now that my folks are based in Swansea and my fella is a Mumbles Mush, I am undoubtedly going to spend a lot more time here. That means one thing - find me somewhere to bloody eat! Môr has always been on my radar. Having ran past it numerous times when I used to be a runner. Ha, throwback. Lol. Their candle lit windowsills and glowing gold lettering on the windowpane was a silent cry for my attention. It was not ignored. I went. I walked. Môr have channeled all of their culinary talents into a locally sourced sea inspired tapas menu. Everything was so fresh and clearly made with delicate care and detail. Proper gorgeous grub! A special shout out to the pan fried mackerel in a roasted pepper sauce and a whole heap of heritage tomatoes. Gorgeous customer service, stunning decor and being located directly opposite the seafront, you can walk off your food baby in the fresh sea air.

We had a delicious meal here. It was a Wednesday so we got the Chef's special which was a selection of dishes for £25. The only disappointment was that there was not enough cheese for our group. Kerry and Ruby were fantastic

Magnífico! I didn’t think Mor could get any better, but their tapas menu is genuinely world-class. Excellent staff, great drinks and relatively inexpensive given the quality. We’ll be back!

Chocolate mousse and olive oil... Religious experience

I have experienced God, and it was in my meal at Môr. The chocolate mousse with olive oil rocked my world, all of it was just f***ing amazing. Great vibes, great atmosphere, lovely food and brilliant staff. Diolch!

This place deserves 10 stars. Food is simply exquisite and the staff are delightful and very engaging, you can't just have enough of both. They have a good variety of food and combine tastes and flavours I never thought of, however work perfectly well together. Book a table in advance, being a small place means it gets full easily. I could not recommend it enough!

Went for lunch on a Friday. Unfortunately the lunch menu advertised on the website is no longer available. Meal started with friendly service and a complementary piece of bread. For two of us we ordered three small plates and two large - total food bill £55. One tapas (cockles clams and blood sausage) was very tasty but we were told we could not buy any more bread to mop up the delicious sauce. Another tapas (spinach and chickpea) was pretty disappointing - grit in poorly washed spinach. The large plates were anything but - £17 for 100g (tops) skirt steak, although it was cooked very well with a nice sauce. £12 for a single mackerel fillet. We are not big eaters but left feeling still quite hungry. Being able to buy a basket of bread would have made all the difference. I get it is hard to make money as an independent in the restaurant trade and hate to leave a lukewarm review, but little things could really improve the experience (website, bread). Bring cash for a tip as the card machine won't offer the opportunity.

Decided to treat my mum for a late Mother’s Day lunch! Amazing food, brilliant wine, good music and great table service, incredibly kind and friendly☺️ Will definitely come again!

I have been before to this lovely restaurant, it was by far my favourite as everything I had it was 10 out of 10. However I came back not long ago to realise they have changed the menu completely, now it’s tapas style, I prefer the way the restaurant was before, some tapas were not right as it wasn’t elaborate cuisine as before , a bit disappointing for me but will return

Sunday roast lunch, nothing like a roast lunch. Tiny portion for two sharing. Very bland, oily and ridiculously priced for what it was. Desserts even worse. Clotted cream ice cream was simply clotted cream. Salted caramel mousse was bland, heavy and stodgy.

Absolutely the best place to eat in The Mumbles. The chef is insightfully spinning ingredients into entrees. This family run small restaurant is a delight.
