Did order takeaway and was amazing , hot and delivered in 10 min !!

Got a takeaway, which arrived in good time. Really, really enjoyed this! We had the mock chicken sweet and sour balls, the tofu yellow bean dish and some egg fried rice. It was all delicious and hit the spot for what we were craving. Great to see so many vegetarian versions of these dishes and it didn't taste greasy at all

Ordered takeaway last night after contemplating where to order from and I am SO HAPPY I chose moonlight palace. Me and my partner ordered chicken balls, rice to share and crispy chilli beef. My partner had the chicken balls and he said they were so good and reminded him of one Chinese when he was a kid, also the sauce with it was amazing!!! It was nice, thin and not gloopy like you get from other takeaways. Now my crispy chilli beef, I requested it extra saucy and spicy and I fully expected the takeaway take no notion of my request as usual, BUT BOY WAS I WRONG in a good way! It had actual sauce with it (tho could have been even more i love it drowning in it BUT there was enough🥰) AND they put what I think green Thai chilli's with it and it was so good and spicy finally!!!! I have had a pretty mediocre Chinese takeaway experience until now!!!!! 15/10 guys, thank you so much! We both loved it so much!!!! Also the food arrived quicker than the ubereats app could keep up and food was steaming hot as well. After travelling all day this was such a great meal to have. Will make this our regular Chinese takeaway place! Please give the chefs who worked 27.12.24 a great big thank you and a pat on the back and keep up the good work! I do not have enough words to compliment you guys! Thank you for reading my request and also fulfilling it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We have ordered a few times from this place, the food has always consistently come incredibly fast and still very hot! The quality of the food itself is great, delicious and I don’t feel bloated or sickly like with other Chinese takeaways we have had. I would definitely recommend!

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. Ordered a takeaway meal from Just Eat. One of the dishes was a Special Fried Rice, which was just plain rice mixed with other foods - nothing special about it. It was plain, no flavour, no seasoning. Appalling. The rest of the food we ordered was also bland. If you want tasteful food, don't bother coming here. The restaurant is either overwhelmed, or inexperienced with Asian foods. They do not care about making good food, they just want your money. Go somewhere else.

Chicken balls were raw and pink inside, didn’t realise until they were all nearly gone. Never had a problem with them before but this has put us off now

I got the sweet n sour prawn balls, house chow being, house curry and chips food is so lovely from here absolutely delicious, not greasy like a lot of Chinese and delivery was really quick too

Every time, food turns up in minutes and hot and tasty. Never liked Chinese delivered but these guys changed my mind. Not the cheapest but you pay your money, get the product. Banging again, thank you!

First time eating from here tonight, had heard good reviews and they didn't disappoint. Really tasty, not too salty or greasy like others in the local area. Super friendly staff. Now bookmarked as my new favourite. Sorry no photos, food didn't last long enough.

Absolutely appalling!! Food was ordered online at 6:30pm, scheduled to be delivered at 7:45. At 8pm still no food, called restaurant who said it was on its way was stuck in traffic and will be with us in 15 mins, we live 10 mins away and Google maps clearly showed no traffic. At 8:30pm still no food, called again and was met with attitude and lies of how they were really busy and that the driver was still stuck in traffic and there’s nothing they can do about it. Food eventually arrived at 8:50pm, no apologies from the driver and food stone cold. Won’t be ordering from here again!

very good takeaway from Moonlight Palace again. We always come back to this restaurant for takeaway because of their great vegetarian options- much better than other Chinese takeaways in the area. Food is great and quick. We did order prawn crackers as we weren’t sure if we would get them- and ended up with 2 lots !

Kinda geared up for takeaway, with huge traffic of Just Eat folks in and out. But super comfy furniture.. I had a bench with silken cusions! The meal I chose was Wonton soup clearly restaurant-made wontons rather than "restaurant supply" from the likes of Wing Yip as they were smaller and fewer and five times more tasty! Served in a massive bowl and a VERY good base posh broth. Then I had king prawn fried rice with these outrageous sweet sticky ribs. They were indulgent and a bit norty just for one... but washed down with China tea and sparkling mineral water, it was a real treat. The rice was delicious without being salty nor oily, and the banana fritters I REALLY aughtna had, were little crispy bombs of bananery perfection, served with invert sugar syrup. It was awesome. Hugely recommended, and I now see why it has the BEST reviews on the ratings.

Chronically incapable of delivering what is actually ordered. Their phone number is incorrect so the restaurant is not contactable. Order from literally anywhere else.

Far exceeded my expectations for a Chinese takeaway. Tried the B1 set menu and the sweet and sour chicken in the radioactive red sauce had the perfect crunchy batter around chunks of actual meat. The spareribs were pretty salty but still serviceable. Delivery was quick and got to me inside an hour from the order. I’ve tried many takeaways and this definitely hit the spot.

Very lovely staff, food was delicious and prices are good. Lovely will visit again for sure. They do have parking next to the restaurant first hour free and after you pay 1£ and hour😄

A more traditional style Chinese compared to other local options, but utterly fantastic, great flavours!

What a wonderful place. The food is exceptional and I mean exceptional in its presentation and taste. A true taste of the Orient and I cannot recommend a visit any higher. When you arrive ask to speak to Peng what she doesn’t know about the food and her advice is great. However she is very cheeky … funny but cheeky and will make you visit one wonderful night …

Other reviews did bring us here from the other side of city. Certainly wasn't disappointed. All the food was amazing, and price as well to boot. Attentive service with a smile well.

Amazing food and service - shame about the parking restrictions. We were in Norwich for the weekend and wanted to eat at a Chinese restaurant. Found this one on Google, and rang to make a reservation. When we got there - and were the only people eating in - I understood why the lady who took my call was surprised/confused. Food was tasty and beautifully presented. Customer service was impeccable. The parking restrictions were explained to us - basically, you are limited to 60 minutes, after which you get a fine. So you need to move the car out of and back in the car park before it's been there for an hour. Not something most diners would do - hence almost all their trade is now takeaway or delivery. The parking is a real detriment and, unless we can find street parking nearby, next time I'll make sure we have plates and cutlery so we can at least have a takeaway.

Moonlight Palace is a small Chinese restaurant in Norwich with excellent food. A place all experience seeks should visit. Providing a relaxed atmosphere.

Genuinely fantastic restaurant with super friendly staff, a great selection and really fast service. I couldn't recommend this place more highly. Instantly my favourite Chinese restaurant in Norwich. I have been around ten times now and each and every time it has been perfect! I can't WAIT to come and eat in person with you after lockdown!
