Had a few pints in here before going to the halls, really enjoyed it. It was quite busy but that's never a bad thing

nice staff nice food cooked well. Just too busy, and had to eat jammed up against other diners people pushing past me when eating.it is what it is with Wetherspoons

Omg what a mess manager should be ashamed, under staffed so many uncleaned tables on the way to the toilets it smells, total refirb needed or best close it, never again

Went in for a drink before the Wolves women match v WBA ,tables full of empty glasses used plates and one person behind the bar !! Took 15 minutes to get served !! Really not good enough for a city centre pub 😕

Great food , service and atmosphere

4 mugs were left on the table from the previous customers and weren't collected during our time there, eventhough drinks and food had been brought to the table. We ordered 2 breakfasts which should have come with toast, they didn't. When we queried this we were told there wasn't any bread - no alternatives were offered. The beans were a very small portion and were luke warm Overall, disappointing

Go here often for food at work etc Although seems quite dark when you enter it's a nice pub, cheap and cheerful 😊 Only trouble it's not always easy to get a wheelchair around when busy

The drinks are awful, but very, very cheap. Has the atmosphere of an airport lounge in a banana republic whilst a violent revolution is in progress nearby.

A bit more emphasis was needed on cleaning the tables and menu cards themselves - ours needed to be peeled apart and a clump of hair then removed from it.

It's a town center spoons, not bad, only had a breakfast but spoons breakfasts are always pretty good, usual 2 mile trek to the loos 😅

Incident - wetherspoons - 23.1.25 3pm "pint of porter or a glass of water ?" "The customer is always right" does not apply to the "moon under water" rules. I felt I was back in the Covid tyranny regime when bar staff acted as government officers with license to bark orders at the customers. At 3pm on 23.1.25 I walked into " moon under water" to meet a friend from Much Wenlock who i sometimes meet for a drink and chat when he happens to be in town. I went up to the bar on the left hand side and asked a young barman for a "pint of porter please" I was told to go to the other room (on the right hand side) So I did, and I couldn't see the porter but thought to wait and see if the young barmanwith the huge hearing aid would attend to me but he served others in the other room instead so I waited patiently for some other bar staff to appear and a chap who looked Caribbean appeared and I was going to ask him about the porter when the hearing aid man appeared and I told him that I couldn't see the porter to which he replied "You asked for water" 😠 That got my Irish up as they say I remarked about his hearing aid not being very effective and that he had misheard what was said. No apologies just refusal to be served and told to leave. So I asked for the manager and he sided with the deaf man I suggested that the manager replay the AV recording to check what was said only to learn that they have video but no audio (readers take note) I also suggested that this sort of thing can happen when Wetherspoons hire staff that have hearing disabilities. I told him I would write up the incident and let Sir Tim Martin know that this is the new face of Wetherspoons in Wolverhampton. The manager was very flippant about it so I pulled out my phone to record my voice as proof that I had not used any profanities or offensive speech only to find out later that the phone didn't record anything. But I swear under pain of purjury that I am speaking truth. However these kinds of incidents can happen in Wolverhampton bars when your accent is foreign to black country ears. I've put up with this for forty odd years and nothing's changed for the better in Wolves. I'll meet my friend elsewhere in the future.

Food actually quite nice for a Whetherspoons. Definitely one of the better ones

Popped in for a quick coffee following a final Christmas shopping trip

The food here is quite good for wetherspoons.Proper pub food but,cooked well,& obviously, at a keen price compared to other pubs/clubs.

Couldn't have the meals we wanted due to not having a lot of the items no bread for toast on a breakfast .

Didn't order any food. The service was fine. The atmosphere was ok, it's a Wetherspoons, after all. Fairly busy, usual crowd of smokers / vapers outside, which make it an unpleasant sight.

Sabes lo que estás recibiendo en ‘Cucharas. ¿Verdad? ¡Mal! El lugar estaba sucio. A diferencia de algunas cucharas que he frecuentado. Mesas pegajosas y un montón de vasos, platos y cubiertos vacíos en las mesas. Basura en los pisos debajo de las mesas. No hay suficiente personal. Fui a un bar lleno a pedir bebidas, dos personas sirviendo detrás de la barra. Larga espera por bebidas. Uno de los lugareños incluso me dijo “tienes que gritar aquí, es cada hombre por sí mismo, si quieres que te atiendan”. Vamos gerente, quienquiera que seas. Toma el control y arregla este desastre.

Mad afternoon in here. Out with a few work colleagues for an impromptu Christmas drink that turned to be longer than planned. Saw some interesting characters and met some lovely people too. Had their gourmet steak which was fine. Staff were friendly and efficient. Great spoons experience.

We use this place as a pit stop on the way to the halls or when getting a taxi to the races, the food is ok for pub food, service is very one paced (not quick but pleasant) atmosphere is relaxed and friendly most of the time, drinks are reasonably priced.

Typical Spoons which isn't a bad thing, great service with pleasent staff, it does however need a spruce up!!

Not one of my favourite spoons I’m afraid. To be fair, I visited during a Wolves home game. Forget going here if you are an away fan - You won’t get in, it’s home fans only and you have to produce a home ticket to door supervisors. The pub itself was absolutely heaving packed. Lots of vertical drinking, as no seats. In fact it’s quite a small spoons anyway. Very uncomfortable and rather soulless too. Need a good renovation in my opinion, inside and out. Usual decent beers though, food was ok and service was ok too, despite how busy it was. Felt sorry for the staff. Must be hell working here on a match day! Customers all very friendly - Always find wolves fans quite pleasant to be fair.

I regularly call in for a drink at least once a week, no problem. But over the past couple of months I have sometimes tried to order toast & marmalade, only to be told each time they are not serving it as they are keeping the bread for customers who order a full breakfast. This argument is now wearing thin, especially this morning when I visited at 11 am, the place was very quiet. So they need to take this item off menu or order some more bread.

Cannot fault this place, not gormet food just honest grub and exceptional value for money. Where else can you go and spend £6.44 for a meal and a pint of Plumb Porter. Where most places charge £3.60 to £4.50 a pint alone and its kept adequately more so than naff Greene King pubs. Went in again last night, hard to find a table. Had scampi this time, was offered the smaller pensioners portion that says 2 till 5pm at 8.40pm, ask but had the normal with a pint of Titanic Plumb Porter £11.36. Downside is the barrel had gone only leaving mass produced no one wants ie Abbot and Boom Dar, phew just neck it, its tolerable. Will be in regular.

Fantastic service from the bar members on site. The entry down to the toilets smelt like sick and dirt. A vile combination. The toilets were, though nice and well kept in the mens The food was average and had ten chips and basic burger that dry. Wouldn't advice going.

Breakfast was good and service was fast, plenty of seats too and great prices.

Very dark very loud and that was the staff talking to friends at bar. Floor horrid and sticky took 25 mins to get a drink.

I had a great time meeting a friends for drinks. Good atmosphere, comfortable environment and cheap drinks. All that is required for a great night out!

Food here is decent. I come in with my family and was greeted by the lovely Erun! served us all with a smile and got our food out quite quickly.

Absolutely rammed and filthy dirty. Was after a football match so need to take that into consideration.

Generally OK - but last few times we've found there seems to be a real lack of staff at busy times, and the number of patrons waiting to be served around the bar is crazy. Gave up last time after waiting almost 15 minutes to be served. Used to be our usual haunt for a quick pre-show drink before heading to the Grand.

Always buzzing. Can be short staffed when busy.

The service in here was amazing!! Got our food 5 minutes after we ordered. The food was hot and delicious. I had the new sticky Korean fried chicken bowl and I highly recommend it! The place has a calm atmosphere and the staff are really friendly!

Packed on both times we visited, way more people than the other two big pubs in town. Service still great with great beers.

It's Wetherspoon's for goodness sake. If you like threadbare carpet, a wide variety of mismatched seating and a half mile walk to the toilet (with stairs to add to the fun) then this place is for you. However, cannot fault the value for money on food nor drink and as an ex bar fitter I know that 'spoons cellar practices are second to none so I will indeed be back.

Not one of my favourite Spoons. A large souless room. Good real ale selection. Had a quick pint of Ruddles with Albrecht on way to the Station ( 3 min walk away.) It is what it is says Albrecht!

It's been years since I've been here and that was due to poor food quality, bad customer service and unwelcoming atmosphere. So choosing to come here this morning after a night shift was guess on the outcome. To my surprise....it felt really different.....atmosphere was nice, already customers enjoying breakfast.... Great offers especially for breakfast and a small breakfast, extra slice of toast and a hot drink (free refill) at a great price. Service was prompt and helpful and customer service was excellent. Free WiFi toboot. Definitely will return and if this place has had new mangers running it over the last few years then well done.

Pedido el filete pedido bien hecho... bien hecho no significa cremado. Hablé con uno de los empleados de limpieza le dije que el filete era terrible y que me lo estaba llevando a casa para mis perros. Ella me miró a los ojos, limpió los platos y se rió mientras se alejaba. ¡Si se trata de formación del personal, sin duda estudiaría los métodos de formación y el uso de modales! Los modales no cuestan nada que el filete me costó 13 libras... no un cliente feliz.

Prompt service after easy ordering experience, directed to self service coffee machines was helpful! Food was good. Avocado muffin should be called onion muffin, barely even noticed the avocado on it! Scrambled eggs were a watery at the bottom but all food was good enough. Pepsi served was flat and without flavour so had to ask for a replacement man who served was helpful and kind. Tables were dirty also.

Good pub with acceptable kitchen and very good prices (so far at least)

This was my first visit to the moon underwater. It is as good as any wetherspoons I have been to. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the service was very quick. There was an excellent, wide choice of beers largers and cider, including some excellent cask conditioned real ales at very cheap prices. The pub was very clean despite it being a match day and very busy. Update the staff are brilliant for disabled visitors.

I'm abdys wife whi is disabled. The diabled tiolets are disgusting and smell of urine. It's all over the floor when discussed with a member of staff she replied we cannot check on them all the while. They are left open so any idle non diabled person can use. Disgusting and smelly score ÷10]0]%

Customer invisibility as norm in weatherspoons

This was a nice pub for drinking, with a neat interior and well-presented counter. Pint of cider was cheap and the seating is comfortable, although it is quite dead and the area is rather run down.

Can't complain about a spoons you know what you're getting everytime

I would usually go elsewhere in the vicinity for my solo meals but after having a nice time here with my boyfriend I decided to give it a go. My other place had let me down big time with food quality and they don't have the lovely plum porter 😋 I had a lovely curry on my own, the staff were very friendly and nice. Yeah it's not the cleanest of places but for the price, quality and atmosphere it will be my new go to for solo dinners from now on 🙂

Yo nunca iría aquí por mi cuenta, por lo general, solía utilizar otro pub en la misma vecindad para mis comidas de comida de comida en solitario. Sin embargo fueron un fracaso cuando los necesité para poner su mejor pie adelante. Así que decidí después de disfrutar con mi novio aquí que probaría el lugar por mí mismo. Realmente disfruté del ambiente que era muy relajado y amable. La comida era mucho mejor de lo que esperaba y por supuesto tienen ciruela porter es absolutamente encantadora cerveza oscura. Gran noche de anoche voy a estar en más a menudo, especialmente con la relación calidad-precio y grandes ales.

Great beer Cheap prices Staff hard working

Had an enjoyable pint here. Clean and pleasant staff. Inexpensive.

Had to wait a while for all the food to come out so we could all eat together (family of 4 eating a main meal each and one side to share). The food was nice and not overly expensive, brought us sides we hadn't ordered, and the server just shrugged when we told them. I believe they are shutting down soon for a major refurbishment that will include a hotel and museum. Watch this space...

Always nice to spend time in this Wetherspoon

With all Weatherspoons, I very rarely go unless I am forced to by the people I am with. This is your typical Weatherspoons that is not seriously suited for kids, with extremely drunk, smelly people ordering the cheapest booze they can get from the time the doors open at 9am. Service was not great, and the food was appalling. The Katsu Curry was so small it could have been off the kids' menu, and the chicken itself was just chewy and fiberous ... this goes to say, you really do get what you pay for. What is interesting is it goes to show that my opinions on Weatherspoons as a whole are not good, as this was honestly one of the better ones I had been to, yet so bad. Weatherspoons, you really need to set some restrictions on alcoholic drinks early in the morning. It's disgusting and probably influences the younger generation into bad decisions, especially when some of the clientele visiting are the poorest families with their children, looking for the cheapest meal out.

Great place to meet up for drinks and adult conversation without the annoying DJ drowning you out and no spotty loud teens.

Was a Friday morning, order a large and normal breakfast which come to £11 and come out in 10min , delicious well cooked breakfast , will be going again.

Prefer loos on same level for safety & makes it easier especially when people have had a few to drink ...

Not the best looking Spoons but the service and food was good

Unfortunately we've not had the best experience recently. A friend and family member (child) had some Loaded fries before we went to watch a show at the grand theatre , around 5.15pm, both from separate households , no one else in our group ate. Both people who did eat ended up being violently ill around 4.30 next morning. We rang to report it and they said contact head office. We can't find this pub on the drop down menu when we use the contact form and then we need our receipt number to report it either way which unfortunately was not given to us at the bar. We are aware things can happen but the fact we can't report this effectively and stop it happening again is really poor.

I've eaten here before, with my last visit observing that plenty of tables were left uncleared and sticky. There's been little improvement - although there's plenty of vacant tables they're still chock full of the last visitor's meal/drinks. We popped in for brunch; I had the ham (two thin slices), eggs (two fried, one with a broken yolk) and chips which filled a hole. My colleague opted for the all-day brunch (included chips), surprised to find they had some good sausages included. The next day I also went for a breakfast and enjoyed the filling breakfast on offer. It's cheap and you get what you pay for, but they really could do with getting tables regularly cleared and wiped down between visits; it just feels very neglected (or understaffed)

Great hot drinks. Very comfortable pub, warm welcome. Great value and good location.
