Great place, cheap drinks lovely atmosphere and very friendly recommend

The better of the two Wetherspoons in Bournemouth. Drinks are sensibly priced, the venue itself is great all-year-round (went on a Christmas get-together, it was lovely outdoors even then) and it's just a nice place in general. Service is quick, polite and fantastic. Really nothing to complain about. Only reason for four stars instead of five is because it's a Wetherspoon's. No such thing exists as a five star Spoons!

Great location and value, Easy to find and in a great spot. The food and drink prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was lively. Unfortunately, the WiFi was incredibly slow, making it impossible to use the app. It took ages to load, which was frustrating. The place was also quite busy, so there was a bit of a wait for our food. The food was okay, but nothing special.

Always great atmosphere can get very busy at times .good food and close to the beach and Bournemouth gardens. My most recent visit was a bit of a let down..... their new 10ins wrap was ordered and I got 5 ins of filling and rest was wrap....... not as expected

Decent value for money. However, food barely warm enough. Had vowed last visit not to return for food, but relented with friends. Why, oh why can't it be presented hot. Too much trouble to return to bar & complain

Close to the beachfront, making it a good alternative to the more expensive street food located around. However, this pub does become extremely busy and seating may be hard to find. Outside seating is also very limited.

Wetherspoon is a great spot! The atmosphere is relaxed, and the pints are reasonably priced. The staff are friendly, and there's a good selection of drinks. Perfect place to grab a drink without spending too much!

Food wasnt greatest chicken was dry as anything and the tuna tasted funky and strong. Told someone tgey said tgey were gonna have a word with the kitchen staff.. never came back to us so we left.

Its a Spoons. Its big, very central, has a roof terrace (of sorts). When we went it was busy but we got served quickly and the food was brought by 2 staff so it all arrived together. Food was well presented and generous. My pint was half the prices elsewhere. We'll be back.

Staff here are always polite and when ever were down here this is the first place I'd recommend to eat at. Service is fast id say under 10 minutes. The pizza was amazing aswell as the chocolate fudge cake.

A great afternoon had by all, I recommend the Sheepdog Peanut Butter Whiskey...

The Moon was busier this morning than I have ever seen it. Although we had to wait 40 minutes for our breakfast, it was delicious and piping hot. The staff were fantastic as they rushed around cleaning and clearing tables and delivering food. They were helpful, smiling, and friendly and worked well together as a team.

Well, my son and I have been to at least 35 Wetherspoons in this country and this we believe is probably the best. From the teams professionism to the food and drinks. I asked to speak to the manager to compliment them on a good team. People are so quick to complain about things but not so quick to compliment. So a big well done amd that's why we eat there 3 days in a row during our stay at Bournemouth.

The bar was too busy. Dirty tables. Sat on a wet chair. App wasn’t working. Did not order. Couldn’t. Left.

Nice spoons, not a massive walk from the beach, so nice and easy to get to. Close to the lower gardens. Staff friendly and had a nice atmosphere. Plenty of seating and overall a lovely clean wetherspoons.

Great food, fantastic service We went as a family of 5 for tea while down there. It was perfect, and the lady behind the bar was really polite and helpful. She even went out her way to find us a take-away box for the kids' food they couldn't finish. Was very happy there. Clean and great quality food. Kids were comfortable and welcomed also.

To the member of the staff who took my drink while going to the toilet and refused refund. There was no need to be so rude and roll your eyes. If you have no people skills your in the wrong job! Shame on you for employing such a rude individual!

Long day's for some of the people working here. Really nice outside area upstairs and fantastic character down stairs. As always clean toilets.

Atrocious breakfast waste of time and money 100% agree with another reviewer that's been made early in the morning and heated back up garbage ordered a Miners Benedict poached eggs on top of black pudding crap cold black pudding tasted old as another reviewer mentioned about not being fresh the poached eggs looked as if they come in half crooked and they just plate them up I was still feeling hungry so went too the till and put a order in creamy Jumbo oats the lady on the till said creamy Jumbo oats? Yeah it's on the main menu she said do you mean porridge? No I mean creamy jumbo oats 🙄 so she puts it through it came out as porridge absolute garbage 🗑️ lumpy strange taste to it that's the last time I order breakfast I will just order coffee 🙄

Bland tasting food and very small portion. Had the scampi, and all you got was 4 pieces and about a dozen chips. Very poor quality for the money. At least the beer was nice and cold.

It's a spoons... what else can I say. The service has always been amazing even though it's always quite busy. There is plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs. It's even got a nice seating area outside on the second floor. I've never had a problem with staff being rude, and they have always been very accommodating and lovely to us. The drinks are as good as always, and the spoons' prices are always good. Would 10/10 recommend!

Refused to serve us at outside table, they seem to think dogs are unacceptable but smokers are OK! No dog sitting quietly ever caused lung cancer 😡

I like this pub, very cosy and they have second floors where outdoor sittings offer or beer garden. Food choices are very affordable and servies are friendly. Area are cleaned. Best recommended

Cheap for Bournemouth city centre

Nice location and decoration. This branch doesn't have a car park and public car parks around the place are so expensive.

I and my friends visit the Moon frequently and have always found it clean with welcoming and efficient staff which is a testimony to Quique the Manager who is a top bloke, a first class Manager who leads by example working very hard himself displaying a great example to his staff 11 out of 10! Roy

One of the best breakfast 🥞 in town. The location is amazing with great views.

Came as a group of 6, including an allergen against gluten. Many gluten free options and no contamination. Came on a tuesday so 4 of us ordered steak. two were absolutely delicious while the other two were very chewy so quite inconsistent. Although we appreciate that we got what we paid for as it was extremely well priced. Desserts were lovely and very speedy to come out.

We went in looking forward to one of their curries but sadly left only 50% satisfied. I was pretty OK with mine but my wife's was dry, the poppadums overcooked and the naan like rubber, not the best experience we have had at the Moon.

The coldest pub in Bournemouth, wear your vest and an overcoat, aircon always on full blast, maybe ok for the staff, but not good for customers when you are trying to enkoy a pint. That said beer always good and staff helpful.

Nice coffee and pastry. Staff efficient but rather aloof. A bit of eye contact / chat would have been nice. Clean tables and pleasant atmosphere as Pret normally manages.

Great pub. It was Fri night and packed with cheer leaders and football fans. Food came out quick and the waiters were on it. Had a laugh with bar staff even though the were really busy. Wish all Weatherspoons were like this.

Right in the center of Bournemouth. A large pub with a nice atmosphere. A good range of real ales and wines at low prices. Friendly and efficient service.

Food can be a bit hit and miss, I had gammon steak that was over cooked and dry, struggled to cut it, the next day i had an all day mini full English breakfast that was perfect.

All OK food whys but could not order a meal at table

It's a Whetherspoons so it does what it says on the label. Great selection of drinks at very good prices. Must say much better now they've banned smokers from the external seats at the front which means when they open up the front bi-fold doors on a nice day we don't all get swamped cigarette smoke permeating into the pub itself.

Paid £12 for curry and rice, got about 5 spoonfuls of raw-ish rice and uncooked poppadoms - absolutely disgusting experience. Can't believe they give one forth of what they charge. Not going back again.

Came in for a breakfast with the other half on a busy Saturday sunny morning - however there were some items missing. Alex, the manager on shift, listen to my issues, apologised and then brought the missing items out within 5 mins. Accidents happen in the hospitality industry’s but the way he dealt with the issues was professional and courteous. 10/10

Waiter threw our dinners on the table .Both of us found that the tika massage curry was awful ,so watery hardly any chicken and the taste was awful . Went to Mary shelley the night before the food was great.The only plus was after we complained the manager gave us our money back.

First time visiting Bournemouth from London. After a walk along the beach front. I found The Moon in the Square pub. So, i popped in with my wife for a bite to eat. We both had the cod and chips, which was very enjoyable. We found a table without waiting. We ordered via the app, and the service was excellent. Prompt and with a smile. Thank you to the service team and chef for a job very well done.

Sorry to say that this spoons was once a place to go. Now I wouldn't recommend it at all. Food is poor. General Hygiene is gross.

Went here for a pudding and a drink and breakfast the next morning. Food was quite horrible both times, which is so unusual for Wetherspoons! The pancakes were as hard as cardboard and stuck together as if only the 2 outsides had been heated, not warmed separately. The breakfast muffin was as cold as if it hard been cooked a while ago. Serving staff in the morning was wonderful.

Very busy, but quick service at the bar, area round coffee machine. Floor etc needed a goid clean, spilt drinks.... Also condiments needed topping up, this was 9.30 in the morning.....
