Monterey Jack's in Renfrewshire

Wasn't happy with this one.. love going to monterey jacks for a nice meal but this one wasn't good at all.. Ordered food and large drinks, to be given cans of juice then when our food came out it was wrong order so had to wait for them to fix it for it to come out wrong again. But we ate it as was hungry & didn't want to wait any longer.. I didn't eat all of mine as I asked for plain fries and got spice seasoned ones and chicken burger wasn't like any of the other restaurants we had been to ( normally use one ar fort or M&Ds), chicken burger was 2 bits of chiken strips stuck on a bun, normally its a nice big bit of chicken breast seasone as had it loads before from restaurant at M&Ds Strathclyde... I definitely won't be back to this one in Xsite glasgow.

Never be back to THIS monterey jacks. Orderd 2 chicken burgers and chips with side on onion rice.gs with 2 large Pepsi drinks. Drinks arrived as cans when said it was large they explained that's all they do is cans in here. The restaurant had around 6 tables in use but they were telling people coming in foot was around 30 minutes as they were so busy. When our food arrived the first time it was wrong with 2 beef burger meals and we sent them back. The person who served us with that meal came back and explained they read the order wrong and new food was being prepared for us. 30 mins layer it arrived 50 minutes after we orderd my partners burgwr was correct but mine was wrong again but didn't want to wait another 30 mins so I just ate it. The fries we asked for was normal but spicy fries was what was given when we said they were wrong we were told they were now the stranded normal fries they sell at all restaurants (first for us) when I said about my burger being wrong twice the reply was I will let them know. Not even an apology for our poor experience other wise my rating would have been slightly better or I would have just left leaving a review and put it down to an unfortunate one off.

Visited today for lunch with mum and sister, the staff were so lovely and helpful . Food was amazing as always the chicken tenders are so crisp but not dried out inside. So Thank you to the staff today, will be back soon .

Food was very below par. My dinner was freezing cold. Boyfriend's chicken burger was still pink. Restaurant was quiet,no excuses for food to be this poor.

Absolutely brilliant king our server was brilliant very helpful. Kieran cooked up a mean burger yknow. The boys even asked us if we have any song requests. Easy 10/10 all day.

Staff were very helpful and very friendly we were seated straight away and brought menus including a kids menu for our 10month old son Within minutes we were offered crayons and some activities on a bit of paper for him Now the food has arrived and it’s BANGING

Worst dining experience I have ever had. Ordered mains only but the food took an hour to arrive at the table and it was lukewarm and terrible quality. Burger buns burnt. Food not what I had ordered. Food cooked and left sitting while waiting for other dishes to be made. Was clearly happening at every table. 3 staff on for mid term school break. Servers tried to chat and were nice enough but could have advised if there were serious issues and we could have just left. Would not be choosing to dine here again.

We were there at the weekend. It was not busy and we waited 25/30 mins just for our food. I ordered a slushy cocktail and was given just a normal cocktail which would have been fine if I had been told there were no slushies available. The food then came, we ordered spicy chicken nachos to share which were warm not hot and were congealed. We also had a burger which was cold and a hotdog which was cold and hard. Since being there on Saturday we have both been really unwell with really bloated bellies and have been sick. The only good thing about the place was the manager who we could tell was trying his best. Avoid at all costs!!

Chloe our server was really welcoming and attentive. The food was delish and the music was great ambiance. We will be back for sure!

Went here for a Valentine’s Day meal, the atmosphere and ambience were nice but the place was very under staffed for such a busy evening, ordered a chicken burger and it was burnt to a crisp, I felt sick for a long time after. The staff member serving us said it was fryer issues but he recommended the burgers to me, possibly understaffed in the kitchen too. Definitely not an enjoyable valentines meal like it should have been. Food was very very greasy too.

My partner and I came in for valentine’s day and it wasn’t great. We weren’t given a drinks menu to start so that delayed our ordering process and when I did get my drink, it wasn’t a clean glass. After we received our starters, we had to wait for a server to come back to ask for cutlery. Also, our main courses arrived without the fries and we didn’t get a chance to ask for any condiments, waited 20 minutes and finished our main meal and then we had to chase up the fries which had been forgotten with a server. We were there for two hours and didn’t have a set server so it was hard to get someone’s attention and we felt ignored by the staff. However, it wasn’t entirely on them at all, there was two servers on a holiday Friday night and it wasn’t enough for the demand of customers and made wait times high, yes there was mistakes but it wasn’t a fair night to the staff working and seemed stressful. Positives, the food was nice and a server did apologise for the hectic night when paying for the bill.

Very Friendly staff and amazing food would highly recommend

We stood waiting to be seated for 10mins and not one member of staff looked in our direction. Looking round the sullen customer faces it was evident noone was enjoying the experience. I asked a family already seated who told me they had waited 45mins so far, no food and like us had waited overly long to be seated. We decided to go to Frankie & Benny's, who were efficent and accommodating.

Brilliant experience yet again, first class service, amazing food and Kieran and King both went the extra mile to make sure the visit was 10/10. Would definitely recommend.

This place is a disaster! Arrived around an hour & 15 minutes before closing time, was told to use the QR code to place our order despite not being advised beforehand that food orders were taking 45 - 50 minutes. After 20 minutes, we hadn't been served drinks and when I approached a member of staff, I was advised that he would get our drinks to us shortly and that our food would still be 25 - 30 minutes meaning that had it arrived as quoted, we would've had around 15 minutes to consume our food before the doors were locked. I asked for a refund and was told that this would need to be applied for online because I had ordered using the app which I made further complaint of as this has not been made clear at the point of ordering either. The manager did get my card refunded before leaving but the general level of service is a joke where the staff neither seem interested in looking after you or keeping you informed of your order or satisfaction. The restaurant was quiet during our visit and despite this, I was aware of 2 other complaints from our groups during our visit. Sadly, another experience of a digitised world where customer service is nonexistent in favour of DIY ordering while the NPC staff wander around aimlessly without care of looking after their customers. Needless to say that my visit to Monterey Jack's won't be repeated.

Five guys accorded the road is better, had a booking for 6pm not seated till 6.20 and ordered food online at 6.35 and not severs drinks for another 25 min, food avoids fore drinks. Tables not being cleared and food orders wrong very disappointed

never ever am i coming back here. we got sat in a corner were we felt utterly ignored. we ordered 3 milkshakes and 2 pepsis and ended up waiting 20 minutes for them to come. we wouldn’t mind it if the place was busy but there was maybe 3 groups of people there. we ended up ordering our food and waited an hour for it to come. we got our food except 2 other people at our table who had to wait another 30 minutes. they ended up coming out with the wrong dish so had to wait another 20 minutes for their food. i ordered a burger and it was the most utterly disappointing thing i have ever had. the sauce was terrible but the thing that was most disappointing was the beef. words can’t describe what the beef was like. the nachos were burnt and tasted horrific. they were short staffed and felt like we were being ignored. never coming back. (we saw other people come in after us get their food before us) The staff were very nice to us but couldn’t seem to get our order right and took too long with our food.

Zsolt kertesz is the best server I've had anywhere

Monterey’s used to be great. Last few times I’ve been in they have ran out of ingredients. This visit it was chicken burgers and bread for their melts. Last time it was burger patties. What is going on? Well going downhill..

Gave 2 stars as the food was hot but other than that the food was terrible. Ordered chicken tenders and Mac and cheese. I got frozen nuggets and what tasted like tinned mac & cheese. Cutlery was dirty and tables hadn’t been cleaned and still had something sticky from the previous customer. Mentioned to the staff member and he just asked if I was done with the plate.

Great food and fantastic service from Daina. Word of warning, if you order the nachos be prepared to get a doggy bag. The portion is huge!

Arrived today Saturday, ordered chilli cheese fries as a starter🤣 More sour cream than chilli, my burger came and it was half cooked half raw, when I said about chilli cheese fries the guy replied that’s how they are prepared, who in their right mind puts not even half a spoonful of chilli and about half a bottle of sour cream ? short staffed to which the girl that’s on stood behind our table and said to her colleague “this app is amazing makes our life easier rather than running about taking orders” laziness if you ask me! One boy called Ben five stars too him 🙏🏻who seems to be rushed off his feet more than others, great guy customer service top notch. Cleanliness needs a bit of work leaving customers sitting waiting for tables to be cleaned, and waiting for their bills!! Menus were not removed from table when our food arrived table cluttered! Not exactly what you want when your out for a nice romantic meal🤦🏻‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Tried Monterey Jacks for the first time today with our 2 year old fussy eater and were pleasantly surprised! So much selection and the produce is so fresh! A massive thank you to Daina for her excellent customer service and taking the time to interact with our wee chatterbox! Highly recommend!

Before we even said anything the manager had said he was getting another hot dog for our daughter as it was too well done. He then made sure this was cooked to perfection. Also gotta hand it to them when they presented me with cake as it was my birthday and sang happy birthday. These guys know how to look after the customer and damn the dawgs are good

Popped into as we fancied burgers. It was a OK food was expensive and 1 burger was missing cheese. The dessert didn't taste fresh but was sweet enough to hit the sweet tooth.. The wine was good and the staff were lovely.

came for lunch, Diana was our server she was very nice and pleasant, very friendly and always over with a smile. The restaurant was extremely quiet with us being the only table in so wasn't much atmosphere, all we could hear /see was the chef walking about shouting on FaceTime, was a shame as both our burgers were over cooked and dry and left half eaten. Loaded fries were great and enough to fill us both.

Great service. First time in this place. Burgers felt fresh and like home made burgers. Ewan was our server and done a great job dealing with our larger group. It’s great to see younger servers take great care of tables. They are hard to come by these days.

Came in today, ordered food for two adults and two kids, ordered tomato soup and the toastie and it was quite honestly the weirdest tomato soup I've ever had, over saturated with 'cream' but tasted like evaporated milk. Veg in the soup was crunchy in parts and very underseasoned, it was not awful enough to complain but certainly not on my to order list again. We were seated quickly, drinks and food order taken in relatively short order, rest of the good was fine, but would have appreciated cutlery ready on the table rather than having to wait for it after meal was ready. Feedback to Chris was well received and he appeared to very much appreciate it and appearsto really care about our experience, felt very heard, can't fault the overall service beyond the wee teething issues, and made special effort to look for feedback on the "chicken" burger.
