My husband and I recently had our wedding at the Moness Resort and had the most wondering, stress-free and flawless day, all thanks to Megan, Jake, Adam, and their amazing team. From start to finish, the process of planning our wedding was made so much easier by Megan's excellent communication. No email was left unanswered and she was a wonderful reassurance that my silly questions on the run up to the day were in fact not silly. On the day of our wedding, Megan arrived at my suite in hand with a bottle of prosecco and the most wonderful continental breakfast I've ever had (pain au chocolat straight from the oven). She continued to check in on us as we got ready and reassured me that all was going well. Jake was with us at our meal tasting and ensured that no ask was too big (including my request for garlic potatoes with my meal which was delivered on the day). He tailored our bar choices to what we and our guests would drink. Adam was incredibly helpful both at our final run through meeting and on the day. He was always where we needed him to be at a drop of a hat (planned or unplanned). When my 9 year old nephew got himself injured on the day, he was excellent at keeping my nephew and my distraught sister-in-law calm and helped administer first aid which meant my nephew was soon up and running about the dance floor again. All the team at Moness helped make our weekend incredible. From the barman Tomasz for keeping us plied with 'pinches of Inches', to the wonderful barmaids who kept the drinks flowing. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. When my husband and I entered the marquee the day before to add our decorations, we had to take a moment to appreciate just how wonderful it looked. The grounds of the Moness are incredibly well maintained and our photos have ended up looking like a dream. I could spend hours raving about our day and it is all thanks to the incredible team who are a credit to the Moness. If I could give them a 100/10 review I would.

Very friendly welcome. My husband & I arrived a day early by mistake, Bronwyn was very helpful in arranging a stay in the room we were going to stay in. The room was very light, clean & spacious. All areas were clean & tidy. Great spa area. The food was good. Great location for walking & touring. Overall it was a good stay & would recommend it for a short break. The only down side was Thursday night. There wasn't enough staff for the amount of diners who came in. The staff did their very best to cope, but service would've been smoother with more staff. An additional person did appear later when another large group came in easing their service. We were a group of 10. We arrived at 6:30 & didn't finish till 9:30. We did get an apology, but I feel the management should've ensured that there were enough staff to cope with the extra guests that arrived on Thursday. It was explained that one waitress was new & two members of staff were away at a funeral.

Very beautiful place, in the central part of Scotland, ideal for visiting the country. Best of all, the swimming pool is free, heated, with reservation the day before. Bath towels are provided. We had a renovated cottage so very clean, fully equipped, with an oven but no dishwasher. The restaurant is very good. Be careful, no launderette in the complex, bring a large suitcase otherwise there is a laundromat in the village which will cost your wallet. £11 18kg machine + £7 per half hour (price of drying which increases with time, it hurts) drying because there is no way to hang the laundry in the cottage.

Stayed here on Monday night and we had a great time. We booked a suite in the hotel and it was brilliant value for money. We went for a swim before dinner, the food and service was brilliant. The lady looking after us at dinner and breakfast was so lovely and accommodating to me being pregnant. Great location, beautiful grounds and very relaxing. We will definitely be back when we have our little one with us.

Great location, just outside of Aberfeldy, so a great base for numerous directions. Lovely cottage we had in the walled garden, with all mod cons, 2 bedrooms, (1 on-site), and even a dishwasher! My only critasism was that the two single beds were like sleeping on a "brick", so much so I almost slept on the couch.

Spontaneously booked a room here during our tour of Scotland. The hotel is beautifully located and has a beautiful park. Our room was okay so far, unfortunately the mattresses weren't that good anymore. You could feel the springs through. WiFi in the room was too weak. The breakfast was okay, but not everything was in stock, so we had to ask if water was refilled. Waited about 30 minutes for the warm food. Coffee more like 2- Dear hotel team, we would like to improve some things.

We recently visited the resort for a couple of nights and could not fault the service provided. When our room was available it was communicated to us and the checkin process was seamless. We had a two bedroom cottage which was beyond spacious and had all the features of a home. The only negative being that the decor is becoming rather dated. We also made use of the leisure facilities which are lovely and not overcrowded, make sure to book ahead! The walk from the resort to the village is a short one but be wary if you or someone you are with is not great on hills as the climb back up could pose a challenge. Overall a lovely place to stay, would definitely recommend.

Don’t waste your time or money. There is nothing here that warrants the word "resort". The beds are uncomfortable, your choice between cheap or old. The staff is unhelpful if something is not ok, though they are willing to tell you whatever you want to hear to secure your booking. The rooms are basic, dated, and lacking. Both the room and the cottage I looked into were both soulless boxes with dated decor and terrible mattresses. I called in advance of making the reservation, on Monday, to ask about mattress and ensure there were firm, supportive, comfortable beds. I explained that this was the first time in years I would have to myself with no child to look after, just to be on my own, and I planned on spending a lot of it sleeping to recuperate and rejuvenate - especially after barely coping through this pandemic as a lone parent. I communicated this clearly to several people in three separate phone calls that Monday before booking. In the last phone call with someone who claimed to be the head house keeper, I was assured that all mattresses were brand new, firm, and supportive. It was on these assurances that I booked. I had also filled out the pre-arrival survey indicating the mattress was of utmost importance. Were the mattresses as promised? Not even close. I requested a different room, was told there was none. After pressing them to do the right thing, I was offered a cottage. Sadly, it was the same; a terrible bed in a soulless and dated box. I went back to the front desk in tears and asked for a refund. I was told they didn’t have the authority to do so. Moness’s website terms and conditions say otherwise. Heartbreakingly, I was led to believe one thing, and delivered another. Faced with a complete lack of regard or acknowledgement of what I was promised, I left in tears, after having driven over an hour to be there, because I had been mislead. Megan told me that perhaps I should have slept on the floor if that would be more comfortable. Moness kept the money, claiming I "contaminated" the rooms by merely walking into them to test a bed. If tears of frustration and heartbreak are contamination, well, maybe so then. But I seriously doubt that warrants keeping £288 for something I was led to believe existed, and didn't actually exist. The property is owned by a holding company that is unreachable by phone or email. It appears they care more about money than service. I've written the property owners by post for a refund, though I won't hold my breath. There is definitely an attitude of "you'll take what we give you and like it" from the staff that likely comes from above. If you read further reviews, this becomes evident. Read them, the are several reviews below about the beds, the shabbiness of the property, and the wilful disregard for care and service... in addition to the resistance and blank stares at the desk, I had also tried to book spa treatment on that Monday when I booked the room, there was no answer until the day before arrival… they are spot on. I won’t be back, and would recommend this place to no one. ** Update 28th November 2021 Moness Resorts has neither responded to nor acknowledged the email, or the signed and tracked letter requesting a refund after the terrible experience and misleading information. The letter was signed for, so they have it. If you value your hard-earned money, as well as honesty and service, don't go here. I'm out £288, no reason for anyone else to be.

Stayed here recently for the Etape Caledonia and what a beautiful location. Set in a quiet ground with lots of greenery and rabbits hopping around, it’s a beautiful, peaceful place to unwind. Our experience with check in wasn’t great: we arrived early and so went to the bar. When we returned at check in time though, we were told the room still wasn’t ready and they didn’t know when it would be. After asking, they called house keeping to check but could only say it’s not ready and they didn’t know when it would. The suite itself was spacious and nice with a big and accessible bathroom. There was a nice rooftop bar which is ideal for a sunny day. We had food at the bar which was ok, but never tried the restaurant. I believe some of the lodges are dog friendly but the suite we stayed in was not. Personally I can’t see any reason our room wasn’t as i can’t see any way a dog could have damaged it or left a mess. Some ups and downs for this place but overall it’s a beautiful place and I would visit again. I think if they could smooth out the check in and be more welcoming to four legged friends this would be a 5 for me.

We stayed in August 2023 as a family with young children. The houses are spacious and the beds are fairly comfortable. The kitchens are reasonably equipped but have very small fridges. For a freezer, you're lucky if you even get a small ice box. We reported a health & safety issue that the fuse box was at ground level, unlocked and far too easy for children to access. The leisure facilities are nice - the pool was warm in the summer. The WiFi was better than expected and fine for Zoom/ Teams video calls as well as streaming.

Upgraded to a lodge which was lovely and spacious but decor etc was quite dated. Customer service was appalling throughout our stay.

Everyone may make a mistake sometime - to change it into a positive solution is the challange. And Annie from the rezeption solved it very well. Room was spacy and clean, housekeeping very proper, thx to the ladies from Balaton! The property got to be maintained, it is an opportunity with many chances to keep it interesting for guests and B1 JMK as well! Breakfast by choice is ok to avoid queing in the morning. Nobody leaves hungry. For some guests Afternon Tea is something special. It is nothing special at all to serve it in the upstairs bar aeria where burgers and Fries will be consumed at the same time including loud hits in Stereo - offer it downstairs, much more style to enjoy. Nice enough resort hotel. Visited in early~mid August 2023. Check-in was delayed due to lack of staff... note on the front desk said they were sorting something out. Only waited about 20min, but when you're tired and just want to get to your room this kind of delay is annoying. Short staffed maybe? We had a very large room - even had a separate lounge type area! But, even with this huge room, there wasn't a fridge. Even a small one would've been better than nothing. No AC... not usually an issue in the UK but the summer's can get surprisingly warm. The windows in these rooms are quite small so being able to control the room temp would be great. At least a couple of fans in the wardrobe would've been nice option to use. Bed was ok - comfy enough. Huge bathroom but the smallest shower cubicle you can imagine... total waste of potential and space! The soap in the shower dispenser was also practically water - like it was filled with the soap designed for those foam dispensers or something... pretty useless. The dispenser near the bath was fine though so perhaps an error? Reported it to the front desk cause it did seem odd. Wanted ice, but no ice machine - bar restaurant staff were happy to give me some. Not sure what I would've done after that had closed though. Pool is by booking only - still with covid related restrictions (time limit and number of people allowed at one time). The timer on the jacuzzi is annoying [runs for 10min and then makes you wait 10min before it can be turned on again - wait for the green light. I get they do this to stop people hogging it, but that just seemed excessive seeing as only a certain amount of people and time to use it in the first place]. Steam room and sauna as well as a pool which has a weird seating section... I though the jets in this section would be quite powerful, sort of like a cold water less bubbly jacuzzi... but that didn't seem to be the case. There were spaces for what looked like buttons so maybe they remove that functionality?? Steam room and sauna are turned off during the day so if you want to use them you need to book in the morning or evening sessions. Booking is easy to do on their app. You can't book or use it on the day you arrive. This meant we used it the next morning before breakfast and checkout, but it would've been nice to have been able to dip in the evening like we wanted. They give you a towel to use so you don't need to take/use the one in your room but you will need a pound coin for the locker [returnable]. Not the greatest facility, but not terrible. Breakfast was a little cheap and clearly items from budget "smart price" type wholesalers. I don't expect a lot, but I expect the breakfast to be a little better than that for a resort like this. Would I stay again? Maybe... but I'd only do so if I could get a bargain on the room or something. Overall, this place is a little tired and dated. Need a chunk of money spending on it to bring it up to the 21st century and up to modern day expectations.

I cannot stress how amazing the staff are! Nothing was too much trouble and they made every effort to sort any issues. The Resort main building was really lovely. My friend used the swimming facilities and said the pool was excellent. His only complaint was there were more people than the 18 mx and children were in the jacuzzi for over 30 mins. The steam room was not steamy and the showers had zero water pressure. The accommodation was okay but could use better planning and bathroom downstairs was not great for a menopausal woman with the need to wee in the night. The shower was a small cubicle in a large bathroom which could have housed a large corner bath so was poorly designer. No frills. There is plenty of room for a loo n basin in the very large cupboard upstairs. No hairdryer in the cottage was a minor inconvenience. Lovely courtyard and location. We ate in the restaurant and again, the staff were great although the wait for food was quite long but nothing extensive. Would be nice to have a couple of local specials.
