Mollans Rainbow Shed in Eilean Siar

Great little takeaway in the village of Shawbost. Very useful online booking service which means your food is freshly cooked and piping hot. The fish was delicious with a really light, crispy batter, the chips were perfectly cooked and the goose burger (yes you read that right!) was very tasty with a lovely red onion chutney on top of it. Very friendly welcome and there appears to be a small area you can sit and have something to eat too. Big portions as well! Definitely value for money.

Great welcoming atmosphere and delicious food! The owners were very helpful when asked for help. we had a chocolate brownie and some bread and butter pudding, they were excellent value for money and delicious! Would definitely recommend going here!

We planned our trip south to north to be with Mollans when their chippy was open! A vegan and gluten free bean burger and chips awaited and capped off our holiday. Julie was so helpful, made it especially and I felt totally save in her and Rachel’s hands. It’s a really special experience going to collect. Fish and chips apparently wonderful too. What a gem!! Lots of lovely home made produce, locally sourced; often from the nearby beach! We tried a couple of mouth watering tray bakes and one of the many homemade ice creams; rhubarb crumble…all highly recommended! Free range duck and hen eggs too, from some very happy birds. If you’re in the area you really need to visit!

We’ve stumbled upon Mollan’s Rainbow shed completely by chance, and had amazing two hours of tea and delicious home made cakes, in the company of cats, ducks and an adorable dog. Wish we stayed long enough on the island to try their fish and chips.

All their food is amazing. I absolutely love their cheese burger and chips and their chocolate brownies are amazing. Lovely service and always have a great laugh.

Excellent fish suppers with light and crispy batter. Fish cooked just right, with large flakes and still moist. Large portions and cooked to order so would not hesitate to recommend.

Best fish and chips I have ever had and always freshly cooked. Always a good varied menu with seasonal specials. Deserts and ice cream all made on site. Warm welcome and very knowledgeable on allergies and dietery requirements.

Was wonderful to see my grandfather's family home at 32 North Shawbost transformed into this delightful takeaway. Enjoyed fish and chips - with amazing tartar sauce - which we ate down at Dalbeg beach. Will be back for another visit soon!
