Being of Indian descent. We came here while on holiday and my wife wanted to try what the Welsh thought Indian food was like she wasn't expecting much but have to say we were amazed. By far the best Indian food we have tried outside of Dheli. The food atrived relatively quickly around 15-20 minutes it was hot, full of flavour and delicious. The food was fresh and tasted very authentic well worth a visit We came back three times during our holiday and everything we tried was well cooked and full of flavour..

Lovely Indian. They do amazing curries and the staff are really friendly. Been here so many times and each time they show how amazing Indian food is. Loving it.

Birthday treat, very grubby inside ,it was being decorated thou, cold and unwelcoming, food average nothing special and very expensive for what we had.

We have tried a few Indians in the area and Moes is so far the best of the bunch, the food is good, reasonably priced and the service is mostly good.

The food is very good although the portions seemed smaller from previous times visited, maybe to help keep costs down? The resturant is reasonably priced and staff are always polite. The interior does need upgrading. Flooring is uneven and a trip hazard in the main resturant. Some of our crockery was chipped. The night we last ate here was in the conservatory, which was cold and we all kept our coats on; staff said heating was off!? Come on Moe's, you have great food and an extensive menu all reasonably priced with great staff. Just need to improve the look.

An insult to food, I generally don't leave bad reviews but this was an insult to food, no other way to put it. Watery and bland, and the small amount of flavour tasted horrid. The driest onion bhaji i have ever tasted, I don't even know how it can be dry. The jalfrezi I ordered was a couple of funny tasting onions and a couple of pieces of chicken swimming in the worst excuse for curry sauce I've ever seen. Even the pilau rice tasted like licking an ashtray. I'm going to have flashbacks of this curry at night when I'm trying to sleep. I have PTCD after this.

Easily one of the best curry restaurants I've visited. Big portions too. No frills but who cares about that with such well cooked food.

Lovely service and the food was good. Particularly like the mushroom sag which was delicious. We were the only ones in the restaurant hence 2 stars.

Excellent Indian, chicken tikka dhansak is my favourite but all the dishes are good portions, well cooked and seasoned

The food here is delicious, the staff are really nice and friendly, it’s an open plan kitchen which is nice that you can see your food being prepared. Prices are decent and the portion sizes are decent. Highly recommended.

I have been here twice earlier in the year. Yesterday took some friends so booked a table for the six of us. So to break it down. A very nice welcome. Great staff. Prompt but unrushed service. Great food, starters and mains. Decent pricing. We eill be back.

Food was so spicy all you can taste is chilli powder,worst food I’ve had in ages,nothing authentic about it can’t understand the good reviews guess people eat anything and say it’s good nowadays,avoid

Amazing food, attentive staff and I absolutely loved the elephant canvas! Portions are big, don't over order like we did! One of the best Indian food places I have ever visited! - I even tried the lime pickle, which was far more palatable than any other I tasted! We will be back with the kids soon 😊

I’ve just eaten at mods a lovely fella and the food was fantastic I sat in the back in the sun it was peaceful as I work away it’s nice to just have a bit of me time etc food was perfect garlic naan thin and crisp on the bottom 👍 if your staying in the Emlyn hotel it’s next door highly recommend

We were delighted to find such a high standard Indian resturant here in Newcastle Emily. Our perfect hosts at Brohedyn B&B. ( also highly recommended) told us about Moe’s Spice. This place is a must. Walk through the front door and settle into an amazing authentic Indian experience. We really enjoyed our meal. Big thank you.. The manager knows the extensive menu so well, his recommendations were spot on. This is a 6 star experience. Highly recommended.. 😃

Where is this so called “award winning chef”? The meal was tasteless, watered down and the only thing in the Jalfrezi was onions, very skimpy on the veg and the meat. Lack of flavour and seasoning. Very disappointing for an “award winning chef”.

We had a delicious meal here. A vegetarian meal with lots of vegetables and a mildly spiced beef dish, where the meat was cooked for a nice long time. Recommended!

The worst place. £23.15 for four poppadoms and dip plus two kids diet cokes ( which were flat by the way ) a bottle of cider and a soda water. Stay well clear of this place

Good food and reasonable prices

Perhaps the award winning Nahar is up the road but this place is trading under the name Moe's Spice and unfortunately the meal was poor - bland and very overpriced for what it was. Friendly staff which holds it together I think but overall disappointed especially after such good reviews which I'm baffled by. Wouldn't come back.

Brilliant starter. The meat was cooked to perfection! The mains were great. I'd definitely stop here again.

Dropped in for an evening meal without booking on a Saturday night. The food was good, with friendly staff. The owner's son seemed to be running the show that evening we visited. He was training other staff around him which we found ourselves listening to the loud conversation being held behind the counter.... lol made us smile 😂😂 He was very friendly and helpful. The building and decoration could do with updating, but this shouldn't put you off from going there for a meal.

Very good and friendly service but our food was not the best. We had water around the edges of our dishes which was put us off.

Down for the weekend for a wedding. We arrived late so our hotel and some pubs had stopped doing food. The food tasted great and the staff were very professional. Accompanied by a nice pint of Cobra.

We had a very enjoyable meal at the Nahar the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Curtis in particular. The menu offered a wide range of dishes. The dishes were served hot and the quantity and quality of the dishes we had were very good and reasonably priced. Worth a visit if you are in Newcastle Emlyn. Thanks to Curtis for making us feel welcomed.

What a gem of a curry house, the food is fresh and delicious, the staff are polite and genuine. The Nahar was highly recommended by everyone we spoke with, we now know why.

Absolutely disgusting. Worst Indian food I have ever had. Waiter was apologetic (not his fault) and took £10 off our £50 bill - but in hindsight we should have refused to pay at all.

The 3 stars given was due to a nice sit down meal we had a fortnight ago - food was good and staff were very friendly. The takeaway is a different story. I’ve eaten from 100’s of Indian takeaways and I would rate this very poorly. First off they got the main meal wrong which meant one of us didn’t get to eat as they don’t eat lamb. Secondly the onion bahji’s were smaller than golf balls and cost almost £1 each! I would personally struggle to even make them that small! The main dish portions were half full! Literally! I held it up to the light and was gobsmacked 😶 Finally the cost - overpriced is the only suitable word. Our meal for two, with starters and sides, came to just under £40! I asked if we got poppadoms with the meal and they said “No!” So I ended up picking them up from the local CoOp! This takeaway thrives due to the lack of competition, they would struggle to survive in a city!! There is another takeaway opposite which I avoided due to very mix reviews! 🙃 I'll pick up the replacement they offered me, but that's probably the last time I'll be back! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Good service and ambience. The food was well cooked, but was quite bog standard Bangladeshi cuisine with all the dishes based on an onion stock with meat and almost no vegetables. It wouldn't take much to make the food more interesting.

Ate here Friday for my parents anniversary. Was made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Russell the waiter couldn’t do enough for us. The food was all amazing and not over priced. I would highly recommend a meal here but make sure you use the restaurant and not the takeaway service.

I order a takeaway from here (almost) every week and have done for nearly two years. Lovely staff are always friendly and respectful, even on the busiest of evenings. Food is always delicious each week and is still hot after my 7 mile drive home. Really have no complaints.

Very good food,service is atmosphere

This is my local and favourite Indian restaurant, so although I've written a review for Nahar before, I feel another is well and truly deserved after an epic meal with friends there last night. I'm a massive foodie, however I hate having to decide what to eat from a menu, so I'm the boring guy who orders the same 'chicken curry' every time..... Russell asked if he could recommend a new dish for me, which really shows how attentive they are here...I had chicken bhuna which was beautiful, so thank you again Russell! He also said that if I wanted to, he could introduce me to lots of different dishes going forward....I also loved the way Russell arranged a 'desert sampler' for our table, which enabled us to try a few of the deserts they have there. Overall, this place offers fantastic service at a reasonable price...The team are fantastic and although a refurb could only compliment the experience here, I've not found any other Indian restaurants that comes close on the quality of their food. Thank you again for a lovely evening!
