Moes Grill in Magherafelt

When for lunch with my wife had the salmon my wife had sizzling chicken both meals lovely only thing to spoil it was the noise and disturbance that a crowd off travellers made couldn't hear what my wife was saying hence to say we left as soon as we finished our main meal manager didn't try to ask them to keep it down as there was other diners It wasn't only us that left a few other tables did the same

Myself and my friend Paul go to moes grill for Sunday lunch and the staff can't do. Enough, as I have a disability any one of the staff will come out to the car and help me to get in safely and take me to the table and see that I am seated safely I know most of the staff and I must say that they can't do enough for me. I must compliments to the chef's and the food is very good and value for money. I must mention the boss Kari. As she runs a good restaurant and so do the staff. Sean Murphy.

On arrival we got showed to a table near the door by a member of staff not wearing a mask . After a few mins we realised the doors was open and we were cold . My son then asked another member could we get moved because it was cold she just shut the door but everytime someone went out or in the door was left wide open because it was broke . We got our food but didnt really enjoy it because of the cold . We left immediately after our food . I told the girl at the till and she said we should have been moved . Not 1 member of staff was wearing a mask so obviously they have no regard for themselves or the customers who are actually keeping them in a job . I work in hospitality and we all wear masks every day . I also feel that staff would need a good run of staff training on hospitality and appearance .

Serious staff training needed, lack of basic common sense like not leaving chemical cleaning products on tables when children are around! Orders not being taken when people have been sitting a long time. Food is nice but I can see why it’s not busy when every other place in the town is.

Hello again. It. Was just great to get back moes grill, after the lock down because I was standing Natasha asked Geraldine to come up to the table as Paul was parking the car when he came in Kari told him that I was at the table, the drinks order was taken and then Geraldine asked us for the order so after the order was put in to the Chef's we did not have long to wait until the food was delivered to the table as the food was so delicious and the chef even cut my steak up, so that it was just mouth watering. I must say that the staff are very friendly, I must say that I just know three of the staff, Natasha,Kari,and last but not least Geraldine. So far so good maybe I shall get to know more staff. If I don't get the chance to pay a visit before Christmas have a good one. Best regards from Sean and Paul. XXX

Hello as myself and my friend have been at moes grill for several times the front of house staff was very welcoming and friendly another member of staff showed us to the table. The barman took the drinks order and then the waiter's came to get the food order, I must say that the staff were very helpful and friendly did not have long to wait as the first orders came out. I must say that we were very impressed by the way we were made very welcome.I must say that the waiter's came back to see if our meal was OK, all the staff are so busy but they have time for the customer's. I visited Moes grill with my little girl and husband today and was very impressed with the customer service one lady (sorry we didnt get your name) with long ginger hair went above and beyond by offering to warm my food up again. The food was excellent also with a really good selection on the menu.

Ordered takeaway. Person on the phone was incredibly rude and impatient. Arrived to the restaurant to collect food which was ready promptly. Took the food to the car and wasn’t it a good job we checked as 2 items were missing. Took the order back in and explained what was missing. The food was then snatched out of my hands and the order fixed. Got the food home and to say the portion sizes were measly would be an understatement. Half the size of sitting in portions and considering you only get 10% discount for take out I don’t think this is good. Curry was flavourless. Prawn crackers had strange spicy powder on them. Chilli chicken penne recipe has obviously changed, was previously delicious but now a bland slightly spicy rubbery pasta. Very very disappointing. Will not be back anytime soon.

Ordered over the phone with a rude waitress, one of the two mains was missing when we checked, waitress snatched bag from hand. Finally getting home the food was incredibly meh, the chilli chicken pasta in particular. Can't see me going back for a long time

On Sunday 26th July A friend and myself called in for Sunday lunch. Front of house staff was very helpful and showed us to the table. Another waiter came and asked for the drinks order. A few minutes later a waiter's came to get our order after a short period of time the waiter's came with the main course. I must say that the staff are very helpful and friendly 😊. whenever we were finished the mains another waiter came and lifted the plates etc. Then another waiter's came with the desert orders. Terrible lunch, visited for a late lunch. I had chilli chicken penne pasta. The chicken was like rubber and had a potent smell. Another had the roast chicken which was so dry she’s to order extra gravy. Waitress didn’t even ask if everything was ok with the meal. Won’t be back.

After a bad experience in the past we decided to give noes another chance. The food was actually pretty ok the service was to say the least inadequate rude one word answers then one waitress decided to put her foot up on the service hatch to tie her lace. Very unhygienic. for the prices charged it should be run a lot better

Where do I start... states ‘wait to be seated’ at door.. when there is no staff around that can be a long time... staff not very attentive... food tasteless.. had sausages and champ.. according to the Meyer ‘homemade’... bought.. stodgy and tasteless as was the shoestring onions.... defrosted and heated... like rubber... one has to wonder how often the owners actually try this food themselves... never at a rough guess.. as for the red wine ... dreadful Merlot is supposed to be fruity this stuff was like vinegar.. and arrives freezing cold which just adds nothing to the flavour! Keep driving... next time the KFC might be better across the road!

Visited here with a few friends for a well overdue catch up dinner and night out. We were taken upstairs by waitress and they soon took our order. We waited what seemed a little over the usual you would expect and the food came out. I ordered the vegetarian lasagne which was ok but a little tired looking. Looks like it wasn’t overly fresh. The garlic bread was too well done and rock hard so inedible. The others commented their dishes were just ok. We then had a very loooong wait before anyone come to clear our dirty dishes from the table, it must have been at least 20mins. Other large parties at two neighbouring tables were also now getting irate that they had been forgotten about. By the time we sat there they definitely lost out on drink sales alone lol When eventually some one come back we explained our frustration and the girl was very accepting and offered an apology and a free drink as a sorry which was kindly accepted. We were then served our deserts which were fine. Not the experience we would have hoped for and because of the long waits and ‘just ok’ food I don’t think I would return despite the apology drinks. Sorry.

Love going here for lunch. Last time we visited menu had changed therefore no lunch menu only the evening menu. Cannot understand why they have changed this as not everyone wishes to eat a large meal at lunchtime.

We go to Moes all the time as it's great value for their specials for either lunch, dinner or Sunday lunch. The service is always quick, the food is good with big portions, and the drinks are always decent including the cocktails.

Driving by and saw how popular the restaurant was so we called in and had a great meal. Had the Sunday roast gamnmon which was Hugh and delicious. Well worth a visit. The only downside was the slightly over cooked vegetables.

The starter came and chicken wings undercooked and pink 3 chefs and not one of them could get it right and to as insult to injury they sent a youngster who served us over to contradict us and tell us they were in fact cooked....big mistake! The only postive thing that I can say about it is "it was hot".Moving on to my partners Chicken Wings, well...I can't say how they tasted because they never turned up!No honestly, they never arrived.I naturally enquired about there wear abouts & was told very firmly and bluntly "no Wings were ordered and I was missing". After she was assured that they where ordered, she reluctantly took responsibly for her mistake.Moving on to the main course...I had a burger. It had meat, bacon, cheese, onions & some salad on it. It looked lovely but, tasted of grease. Everything tasted bland and greasy, please do yourself a favour and avoid the burger.The chip's where OK but the Peper sauce tasted fake and lacked any substance.My partner had boiled rice and honey chili chicken. She said it was all honey and no chili (too sweet) and to much sauce.But I hold my main concern for the waiting staff. Thursday 28th July 2016 at approximately 3pm. ALL staff where dull, no eye contact or interaction whatsoever. Not once during OR after our food where we asked "how is/was everything". Called in here on way home from day out. A Thursday around 5. Place filled up nicely. Served by lovely staff and the food was absolutely gorgeous and hot and well presented. Was also able to thank chefs as could see them cooking etc. Definite visit again.

I was travelling with friends to Donegal and decided to take a break and have some lunch. After looking around for somewhere to eat we discovered Moes Grill and I'm glad we did. From the moment we entered until we left we were made very welcome and comfortable. We had plenty of time to study the extensive menu as the waitress came to the table on a number of occasions but we couldn't decide on what to have. We eventually ordered and the food was delivered a short time later, well presented, piping hot and delicious. This was our first experience and it will not be the last as we have discovered they have another restaurant at Junction One Outlet just off the motorway.

Having a rare day off together, me and my wife thought we'd head out for a spot of lunch. We decided to give Moe's a go and I'm glad we did. A good choice on the menu and great service from friendly staff. The food was delicious and delivered to our table very quickly. I'd definitely recommend Moe's for a meal!!

Used to go here all the time and the one star is only because the food is generally nice but the staff and the service is appalling in the Magherafelt Moes! Asked 4 waitresses for a Coke and it took 20 minutes to arrive by which time we were finished our meal! Found a hair in my food on not 1 but 2 occasions visiting this restaurant, the staff are either very rude or very young and untrained in customer service!! Won't be back after multiple disappointing visits!Waitresses couldn't care less

I find it hard to get to moes on a regular basis due to its location and the majority of restaurants in Magherafelt being closer than them. However, when I do go to Moes I'm never disappointed. The food is always fantastic, the services is better and the prices are great. Definitely recommend their lunch menu. Starter and a main for just under £8.00. Can't complain!

The food in here was to die for...its a lovely big spacious place friendly staff,that were really helpful and everything was tiptop and the portons were good and big. Defo want to come back here to eat again.Recommend to all.

We have used Moes for lunch several times and each time it has been great with a very good, value for money, lunch menu to choose from and very attentive servers.If I had one complaint it is that the portions are too big but so delicious that most is eaten.Well worth a try.
