Este es con mucho el mejor café en el lado sur de Edimburgo. El personal es infaliblemente amable y los precios son razonables.

I came in for a quick coffee and breakfast. The coffee was excellent (espressos and cappuccino), the pastries were light but filling and the service was friendly. Coffee and food were served on plates, not disposables. The place is light and spacious.

Excellent coffee at a very reasonable price for the area compared to other coffee shops. Staff was lovely too.

Lovely coffee, they have 'secret vanilla latte' and seasonal edition 'butterscotch latte' if you fancy a flavoured coffee, as well as the usual menu. Very reasonably priced and they offer a reward card to collect stamps. The staff were all super lovely and there is a lot of space upstairs and downstairs (looks deceptively small from the outside but huge on inside). The hot food also looked and smelled incredible, and they have plenty cakes/pastries (including vegan) on offer. They have glasses and a tap so water is very accessible, which is a simple touch but fab. Perfect place for a catch up with a friend, to study/work, or read a book ect. Also dog friendly! 10/10

We took a chance to visit Modern Standard this morning having walked past many times. The cafe is bright and airy, surprisingly large (split over several floors) and serves brilliant coffee and some fine cakes and pastries. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. All in all a great find

I often pass by this cafe but there's always a queue. This morning I spotted it uncrowded and I grabbed my chance. And happy I did. The flat white was skilfully made and with good quality coffee. The staff were friendly, the place was clean, the seats were comfy (and few things are better than good comfy coffee :-) ). Prices are fair too for the average in town. Sweets looked inviting They will definitely deserve a return visit.

I liked the seating and the food was great but the hot chocolate was a bit bitter. The pastries were quite yummy.

This coffee shop was recommended to me by a friend that is determined to become a regular, and after visiting once I can see why! The barista at the front was very friendly and helpful, especially when I was having a hard time deciding what dessert to try (btw - the chocolate chip cookies are delicious). Cafe was spacious and the tunes were a vibe. Definitely coming again

Clean, bright cafe with great coffee on the edge of the Bruntsfield links. I especially loved the decaf which so many places just don't do well so full marks for that.

I realised I had never gone into this lovely place... so popped in. Shocked to find coffee soft ice cream! It was delicious! Also, lady behind the counter was lovely. The whole place was clean and spotless. Can't wait to go again!

Great takeaway coffee and delicious cakes. Nice area. Looking forward to sitting inside after lockdown.

I was hoping to visit before Christmas to sit in, but couldn’t make it over. But when I did visit in January it was so good. I visit at the weekends, walk up from my house and it’s such a lovely treat. Friendly staff, delicious coffee and a really nice vibe. Can’t wait to sit in and try some of the cakes.

Perfect for take-away - friendly, quick service with great coffee. Look forward to sitting in when possible. Nice to pick up before meadows walk etc when other places near by are overcrowded
