As locals go what more could you want. This place is better than the Mowden these days no doubt about it. Great beer great vibe awesome staff, love it 👍

What a fab pub to visit in Darlington came with a group of friends and sat in the beer garden all afternoon we had a lovely time 😎 staff were so friendly and the service was great not to mention the Thai food which was amazing we will definitely all be back 🙌 and would highly recommend

We had never been to this pub before, despite living in Darlington, but we’re passing, having been on a dog walk and so called in for a much needed drink. We were welcomed as soon as we went to the bar, the staff made a fuss of both my daughter and our dog. Will be visiting again soon to try their food!

Great pub with friendly staff and good atmosphere. Visit frequently after a walk and alway very welcoming. Dogs and kids accepted which is great for most people. Fabulous landlords who always take an interest and make an effort to get to know their punters. Will definitely be back :)

Large ranch style estate pub, built in the sixties. Large car park, children's play area overlooked from inside. Sheltered smoking area. Cask beer regularly available from 3 handpumps. Sunday lunch (booking advisable). Update January 2023, Pedigree & Hobgoblin both available on a Tuesday evening. Sunday lunch discontinued due to increased costs.

A very homely, welcoming pub and a great place to relax with a few midweek beers. Gemma and Chris are excellent hosts.

Nice warm place, don't know how they afford the electric bill. Saying that, came in here the second night it opened in the early 60s and still popping in. Says something about the place.

Havnt lived in Darlington long, model t was the first pub I went into and now it’s my local, Gemma , Chris and team make you feel so welcome, always have time to speak, ask how your day was. Perfect land lady and land lord

New landlords. Muck better Can be loud with kids n dogs. But BN overall the new landlords have made a massive improvement

This place has really gone downhill in the last year or so. I was a regular there for many years but will not be going there again

Sunday lunch was unreal, the lamb just fell off the bone. Absolutely lovely! Kids love the play area, nice and clean. Overall great food, drink, and atmosphere.

My first visit. It was spacious, with comfortable seating, looked clean, the staff were friendly, with plenty of parking. Disappointed that hot drinks or receipts were not available!!!!
