3 star cos the food is sweet, they charged me 5 british elizabeth and charles pounds for 6 slice of plantain, yhh let that sink in,

Had lunch there yesterday. Friendly service and great food. I enjoyed the Jollof rice and would've loved to get some of it again.

Order took 57 minutes to be ready after ordering 1 starter, went to the shop twice to pick-up but was told to come back after 9 mins! Knocked on the door many times, felt really uncomfortable on the road waiting in loud music and everyone staring at me! The owner was a gentleman who approached said sorry and passed me this delicious food ✨ Best Nigerian dish I've ever had,

I’m really pleased with the service at Mide Lagos from the delivery to the food itself really really impressed and satisfied. The Jollof rice, fried rice and meat I ordered really tasted nice, was really flavourful and I enjoyed every bit of it. Also the portion size was pretty awesome. Definitely recommend 💯💯💯

Amazing Food! Omg the Jollof rice and beef is so perfect I literally order daily. You can’t go wrong with the efo riro and Ofada stew either 🤤. The menu is too good I wish I could do a tasting course at this point if not Mide then who.

I wish I could give no star. Awful customer service Appaling Professionalism Food never arrived after over 2 hours of wait and was charged on Uber Eat. The guy who picks up the phone was rude and unhelpful. Avoid this takeaway at all cost

Regrettably I have food poisoning. Now I say Regrettably because this food was TASTY and didn't arrive too late after ordering on uber eats. My initial review would have genuinely been 5 stars as since moving from london I've not been able to find amazing Nigerian food. However, I'm now ill and this was the only meal I ate last night and I didn't have breakfast. On looking back at the restaurants uber eats profile it's missing a hygiene rating... I hope this isn't a case of poor hygiene and just an isolated incident, as I only want this company to do well. Please can you get this looked into. Super dissapointed. I had fish Egusi soup with poundo and plantain btw.

I had a great takeaway from MideLagos. The Asaro with plaintain and Hake fish was delicious. Service was prompt and i was treated courteously. The quality of the food was on point and really good. Its my new go to anytime i am in Birmingham.

Since arriving in the UK, I've been craving the authentic flavors of Nigeria. Luckily, I discovered Mide Lagos on UberEats, and I'm thrilled to report that their dishes are both authentic and delicious.

The food was delivered an hour late with missing items, it went cold and the taste wasn’t nice because it went cold. When i called the shop the last time they were quite rude, and said you just have to wait.

I had food from Mide Lagos at a wedding and oh my God!!! They are the real deal! Authentic Nigerian flavour. Well spiced and cooked with love( that’s the only explanation for that good food….lol) I have tasted everything they cook(my bank account doesn’t like them that much 😩) but yea, if you ever want the authentic Nigerian flavour and a feel of home, EAT MIDE LAGOS!!!

Food was good, but very unhygienic too. While I was eating I felt a hair strand in my mouth and found a hair strand in my meal. Tried reaching out to them but they’ve been delaying on giving me a refund or compensation for what I found in my meal.

First time having Nigerian food and was definitely a must have! I tried the egusi soup and ofada stew and it was packed with flavour!! Will definitely try again

Food is quite good but they seem to lack efficiency in service. Rather than updating unavailable food items on Deliveroo/Uber Eats, they call around the promised delivery time to inform you that it’s unavailable. I have ordered from them twice and, the first time I was called to cancel the order entirely almost an hour later while the second time I was called to cancel one of two dishes in the order, about 50 minutes after the order was placed. Like many other Nigerian restaurants there is unfortunately a tolerated level of poor service. It’s just not good enough but, as their competitors don’t offer much better, they likely have no drive to improve despite complaints. UPDATE: Despite what I thought Mide has significantly improved in this area. I have ordered a few more times since then and haven’t experienced this. Good job Mide!

Absolutely poor service won’t be using them again ordered since 15:48 hrs didn’t take delivery until after 20:10 hrs when delivery came most thing’s missing definitely will not order from them again…

Very terrible service! I should be giving them no rating at all. I placed an order at 8:26pm, waited till past 10pm. Did not receive any order. At some point, they stopped taking my calls. No apology whatsoever. They just wasted my time for a whole two hours. I would never advise anyone to order from this store

Whenever you order from mode Lagos and try to call them they will answer the first time then after they will decline your call and sometimes block your number. This has happened to me multiple times, I will call and they will decline me and then text me on iMessage as if nothing happened.

I didn’t expect the portions to be so big and the food was so tasty too, I definitely will be going back for more. Worth the money and the hype.

Recently had takeout from here, and wow, the flavours were incredible! I’m always sceptical when ordering gizdodo from anywhere but I can honestly say their gizdodo was amazing. I also ordered the okro soup and eba and it was so hearty and just what I needed. Heard they’re jollof rice and turkey is a must-try, so it's next on my list. Ordering was a breeze, and the food was delivered on time. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic African cuisine!

The jollof rice and stewed turkey is the best I have tasted in a long time! Both are seasoned to perfection. The beef and chicken is top tier. I would highly recommend Mode Lagos.

Everything was amazing i got the party mix with chicken and Plantain. The food and service was a 10/10. The flavour was there it was piping hot, it was also the best nigerian food i’ve ever had - coming from a Ghanaian . First time trying nigerian take out and it was absolutely delightful..will definitely be back!

I hate ordering food from African restaurants because they don’t taste good but you see Modé Lagos??? They have changed my perception OMG The food is just always top quality, the vibrancy of the food is immaculate from one glance you can tell the food would be amazing and guess what? You are not wrong😭😭😭 if you’re looking for Smokey party Jollof that taste good and is well done then this is your last bus stop😍 I don’t even want to leave Birmingham because what will I eat?😭 Oh P.S I just ordered their fried yam and sauce just look at that 🤭

Omo, Modé Lagos is the best by far. The food taste far too good for the price. The portion is extremely great too. I’ve just finished eating the Party mix rice and OMG, it hits different. I’ve not had a better naija food in a loooooooooooog time. Keep up the good work.

I have ordered from Mode Lagos multiple times and have consistently been impressed by the quality of their food and packaging. I have tried their small chops tray, egusi soup, efo riro soup, and pounded yam, and all of them have been deliciously prepared to a high standard. The best plantain I’ve ever ordered. Every other place has very dry and hard plantain, but not Modé Lagos!!! It is dangerously good.. juicy and soft, cooked to perfection using ripened plantain, caramelised. So divine! I have been routinely disappointed whenever I’ve ordered plantain and am so happy to have finally found a place that knows what they are doing. 10/10.

Never had Nigerian food before. The quality and quantity was great! The peppered goat was a little too spicy for the average pallette but the rice, plantain and moi moi was amazing! But by far the best was the Gizdodo, sooo tasty! May need to freeze some ice sticks for tomorrow though! 😝😝

I'm very picky with Nigerian food, seeing as I'm Nigerian myself. I would often have to travel to a spot in a different city for good Nigerian food. BUT YOU SEE MODE LAGOS?!!!!!! OMG. I had the Efo and Pounded Yam and Wow, the Efo still looked green (instead of black like the ones that aren't fresh and have been overheated 5 million times🚩). The turkey and fried fish were soft and fell off without stress! You don't know how much of a relief that was for me, a soft babe, I don't have energy to be fighting over meat 😂( the animal is already dead, why would I be fighting you in the afterlife💀). I'm giving them their flowers💐 because I was definitely sceptical at first as I thought it would be like all the other ones in Brum, but I was pleasantly surprised. As I type this review, that Efo is living in my head rent free 🌚

I ordered Jollof with Beef, Gizdodo, as well as Egusi and all of the food was top top tier - succulent, tasty and delicious - truly, I have arrived in Lagos. The best food I’ve had from a Nigerian restaurant in a long while and competes with the likes of 805 and Enish despite just opening, for sure. The restauranteurs were also had great customer service and were very friendly as we spoke while waiting for the meal on pickup - I will definitely be back when next in Brum. 10 10 10!

1h30 for delivery. £18 peppered meat starter for a small pot of overcooked meat. I understand it was a starter but that's just a complete rip off. Pounded yam was replaced by white rice without any update. Fried chicken was nice but meal felt like a scam overall.

The food was too sweeeeet!! The portions are such a good size! I couldn’t even finish my soup. The delivery guy was very friendly and made sure I had everything ordered before he left. The staff were really friendly and helped me amend my order to suit additional request. Overal, great service, great food & great staffs! After trying this Lagos, Nigerian food, I feel like I can now say “omo naija babe😋”.
