Mitre Restaurant in Belfast

Having went to the hotel for a special occasion. We stayed Sunday night an we eat in the bar in the hotel grounds. We were looking forward to Fine dining in the hotel on Monday evening ,to be told it is only open Thur-Saturday. There is no notice at restaurant to tell you this. We had to go to bar again to eat ,The same soup was on both night. The same fish special was on the 2 nights. We were the only 2 people in bar /restaurant on Monday at 8 pm. Would never go back to the 5 star hotel again that has no dining room for most of week.avoid.

We attended for an evening meal to be I formed the Restaurant in 5 star Hotel had no a la carte menu no Table D'hote menu no menu only a 6 course Tasting "menu" for an expensive £80 pp. Too bad if you do not like the Tasting dishes. Are they even published on the website?

The menu is limited with little for vegetarians. My husband could choose mushroom soup or tempura brocolli followed by a mushroom main . The manager was delightful and said that the chef would make a dahl. The food was ok, nothing mouthwatering. Hotel itself is gorgeous but if you want food modern cooking go to the Fitzwilliam or Cathedral Quarter

We first had the afternoon tea and it was lovely. There was plenty of food, excellent tea, and attentive staff. Moving on to dinner, we found two wait staff servicing 23 people. Our waitress was lovely and personable. Our food was good but we found a group of very loud people at the opposite side of the room. It looked like a fine dining restaurant but diners were dressed in shorts, t-shirts, and jeans. Because the room itself was beautifully decorated, I thought there might have been a dress code or a least a more appropriate kind of clothing worn by the diners.

Food was outstanding, nice menu with each dish equally great. The Scotch Egg starter was delicious, and the beef main course was the best I can remember having, it was cooked perfectly. Not a big fan of deserts but what I saw arriving for family members looked really good. Beautiful surroundings, nice atmosphere, rounded off with good service from friendly staff. Altogether a great family Sunday lunch experience

Small birthday celebration afternoon tea for my 10 year old. She decided this was what she wanted, so away we went along with her daddy and Nana. The food was lovely. All very well presented and tasty. Plenty of choice and more than we could possibly eat. The staff were attentive and did a great job. They made a fuss of the child and made sure she had everything she wanted. Can't fault this experience at all. It was expensive, but there is no doubt in my mind that it was worth it.

Our meal in Vespers at the Culloden Estate and Spa was absolutely incredible. This is the first time I have eaten here in a few years, and what a night we had. First of all, the setting is incredible, a real winter wonderland with that old world style and character, a beautiful classic hotel, tastefully decorated for Christmas, with the Pianist playing all of the Christmas classics. The staff are amazing! They are so attentive, anticipating our every need, exactly the level of service that you expect from a five star hotel. They are also friendly and genuine. The food was stunning! There was clearly a lot of time and effort spent sourcing the best ingredients, prepping the dishes and presenting them in a way that requires a great attention to detail. Everyone at the table was blown away by the flavours. Thank you to Chef Mark, Sam Denning, and your teams for what was an incredible night. The food and service was first class.

Service can be a little inconsistent. A small menu available, recommend the delicious smoked salmon. We had some items missed from our order, but every effort was made to amend.

Strange experience at the hotel, a mix up over the booking led to us sitting in the bar but being served afternoon tea.At £35 per head we had high expectations which were not met.Sandwiches were very basic , egg mayo and ham and pickle,no offer to replenish as there is in the Merchant. The scone is filled with lemon curd and is not pleasant and a teacake type bun was dry and tasteless.We left ours and advised one of the staff it was dreadful, no reaction. Plenty of refills of tea and coffee but overall feel there are better quality afternoon read available elsewhere. Not sure what the recency connection is other than a reference to the dry scones and teacake.

Fantastic restaurant and amazing food and atmosphere. We were made to feel very special and thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful food.

My Husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a visit to the 5* hotel restaurant Vespers. An expensive mistake ! The menu was very limited and 3 items were unavailable. How can things be unavailable with such a restricted menu ? I had the steak which was 2 mouthful size pieces of steak. A disgrace for the price tag of £30 . For a further £5 Parmesan chips which were so salty they were unpleasant. The extra veg of Brocolli, Beans and asparagus, only had beans and they didn’t have the other ingredients. It was no wonder we were the only ones in the restaurant . Much better quality food for more reasonable prices else where . We won’t be back !

I recently visited Vespers for dinner following on from and an amazing Spa day at the Culloden Estate and Spa with my mum and Aunty and what a perfect end to the day it was! The waiter (Aiden) couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating and the food prepared by the chef Andy was spectacular. They have recently changed the menu and each and every course we had was delicious! We were presented with a gorgeous amuse bouche to start followed by superb starters and main courses. We decided not to opt for dessert but on hearing that we were from Scotland (which the chef also was) he sent out a beautiful plate of sweet treats for us to enjoy along with our coffee. He then took the time to pop out and say hello in person, which was such a lovely personal touch! From start to finish we were so well looked after and every single thing that was presented to us was of exceptional standard. A beautiful dining experience to rival any of the top hotels I’ve had the opportunity to dine in world over! Couldn’t recommend this hotel and restaurant highly enough and I will definitely be returning the next time I’m in Belfast.

having had an excellent lunch here just before Christmas last year we thought we would come back. A terrible mistake. Not only had the price gone up from around £35.00pp to £55.00PP for 3 courses the quality had plummeted. The starter was pleaseant enough if uninspiring for a restauarant of this supposed quality. having been delighted to note that Roast Sirloin was on the menu I ordered this as last year it really was excellent. On this occasion I received a piece of meat that was barely 5mm thick and was as hard as nails. Last year it was 1/2 inch thick so I did request medium to well done this time round. I did return this piece of meat, I swear I have had thicker cuts of bacon. I then opted for the turkey which was ok but again uninspiring. The gravy was the same on both dishes and was clearly a generic mix. The waiter asked if we would like more gravy so i said yes please but wish i hadn't bothered as it was so runny and almost pink, tasting of nothing more than weak cranberry juice. Both my wife and I finished with the cheese board which was the best thing we had all lunch. The wine was excellent and the serving staff were most helpful and pleasant. To say we were disspointed was an understatement and my wife so much so on my behalf e-mailed details of our experience. (we were not looking for a refund or anything but given the reputation of this business she felt they ought to be made aware. Three weeks later she has not had a response so i can only assume they care as much about their customers as the chef does. We shall not be returning and have had far, far better food at most other restaurants east of Belfast such as Coast in Holywood, Harbour & Co in Donaghadee and Coq & Bull at Clandeboye.

El Chef Ejecutivo, Paul McKnight, ciertamente preside una cocina muy competente e imaginativo en el restaurante principal en la Finca culloden & Spa. Esta visita, me sentí tentada de costillas de ternera hannan. squash, mango y soja (9,00 libras) que era un lento 4 horas pedazo de carne tierna con sabores dulce y amarga. Totalmente delicioso. Para los platos principales, seleccionados de cerdo del vientre, coliflor, katesbridge pasas doradas (24.00 libras) con algunos naughtiness en forma de triple patatas Pont Neuf. El cerdo también del vientre había sido lenta cocidos y realzado por la pasas ricos y un excelente. De hecho, el jus era ligeramente aplicado pero no había problema proporcionando una jarra suplementaria de este maravillosos poco líquido. El restaurante mitre es lamentable. Reservamos una mesa para las 8 pm, pero no se pidió para nuestra orden de comida para más de media hora. Finalmente llegamos a las 9 de la inicial h, no nos ofrecieron pan para la mesa o para nuestros vasos de agua. Mi mujer pidió un vaso de vino tinto que venía con 2 moscas muertas flotando en! El camarero lo cogió y abrió una botella fresca en nuestra mesa. El plato principal llegó un buen rato después. Desierto pidiendo demostró como arduo como ordenar nuestra entrantes y platos principales. La comida era deliciosa cuando llegó, pero el servicio era muy decepcionante para un hotel de 5 estrellas. El jefe esforzabas pero parecía estar decepcionado por otro personal de desaparecer. Vimos y escuchamos al menos otras 3 mesas quejándose del servicio esa noche. El restaurante no era especialmente concurrida. Hablamos con el gerente más tarde esa noche que escucharon nuestras dudas y decepción. Él era genial y se disculpó, nos ofreció un gorro de noche y la oportunidad de volver a expensas del hotel para una comida larga en los próximos 12 meses. Así que nos fuimos a la cama decepcionado pero satisfecho de que las cosas se arregle.

Curiosamente, el restaurante no estaba lleno y había varias más mesas privadas en las esquinas que estaban vacíos. Nos sentimos extremadamente incómoda, así que pedimos a sentarse en el bar mientras que decidir qué comer. El menú es pequeño así que nos afortunadamente más que el camarero no sabía lo que el plato vegetariano implicó y le llevó 15 minutos. Pedimos otra mesa y nos dieron una mesa privada en la esquina. El servicio era amable pero de prisa y el restaurante estaba tan fría que la camarera ofrecía mi esposa té caliente para calentar con ella. Sin embargo, la comida era excelente y nos ahorramos una desastrosa cena de aniversario. Bass piedra de mi esposa con verduras mercado era excelente, así como mi carne. El postre de chocolate fue excepcional y el chocolate blanco fue un perfecto acabado. Lamentablemente el servicio mediocre y displicente, una sombra sobre nuestra izquierda noche especial. No volveremos en una prisa.

Stayed at the hotel once before and just popped in one evening again whilst staying elsewhere in Belfast for a bar meal which was excellent. Excellent hotel...and our meals were superb. Great staff and service.

It's a long journey lunch on a Sunday at the Culloden 30£ lovely menu beautifully presented food very pleasant service but disjointed and very very slow .We had a group of 5 adults and 3 children There were not many there for Sunday Lunch .The decor in the dining room is extremely dated and although the views over the gorgeous gardens and across the Lough were there the dining tables have no view .I found that the staff forgot to fill glasses with water or wine the veg took a while to arrive after the mains were served it was just incredibly slow .there were only 3 large tables eating including our own and a few small tables .No one seemed to be in charge of any one table .All the staff were young and there isn't a supervisor just a drifting about sort of service .The sweets were gorgeous very creative I had a twisted chocolate and raspberry coulis very nice indeed .I think given how nice the food is that the restaurant could be bursting at the seams on a Sunday but they must need the business

Bonito comedor dentro de un impresionante edificio con impresionantes vistas y adorables jardines - esta es una completa experiencia gastronómica. Amplio menú y lista de vinos y experto personal atento, merece la pena una visita. La nueva reforma es realmente maravilloso y agrega otra dimensión a este hermoso edificio histórico.

Cenamos en el restaurante de este mes renovado mirando el Belfast Lough. Llegamos un domingo y nos trataron excelentemente por el personal, que era cálido, eficiente y atento. El ambiente era muy especial con un arpista en la esquina y un tranquilo buzz.

Primera visita ya reformado y excelente experiencia. Éramos un grupo bastante grande, pero el personal indiferente en su servicio superlativo y graciosa, conocimiento del menú y proveedores... un par de fanaticos en serio en el grupo. A todos nos encantó sus comidas y la calidad de los productos y la presentación impecable.

Ordenar bebidas cuando había un problema con Prosecco - el hotel no tenía stock, pero afortunadamente se apresuraron una botella de Cultra Inn. Después de bebidas antes de la cena en el salón, que era muy cómoda y relajante con vistas a Belfast Lough, nos sentamos a cenar en el restaurante mitre. Era medio lleno y nos pareció que podría haber sido más ambiente. Nos dimos cuenta de la gente en sus batas spa caminando por el lado del restaurante a sus habitaciones por lo que os aconsejo no tener una mesa de este lado.

Disfrutamos de una comida absolutamente maravilloso para celebrar un cumpleaños especial. Éramos un grupo de 20, con edades que van desde 3 meses a 84 años. Estaba preocupado de que pudiera haber sido un partido difícil de satisfacer, no debería haberme preocupado. El personal del restaurante era maravilloso. Que se habían fijado dos mesas de 10 para nosotros en un hueco en un extremo del restaurante, era un ambiente ideal. Los campos de comida servida en un ritmo suave que permitió a la familia para ponerse en toda la familia de noticias. En nuestra petición de que los niños se sirve primero. Nada era demasiado problema. Elegimos el menú almuerzo de domingo para mantener las cosas simples, pero eso no significa que tuvimos que ceder en calidad ya que todo estaba delicioso. Cuando todo el personal del restaurante se unieron en el canto del Cumpleaños feliz saludos, bien que fue la guinda del pastel de cumpleaños. Toda la comida era muy razonable. No dudaría en recomendar el restaurante mitre a cualquiera.

Mi prometida y yo asistí a la Mitre última noche para celebrar su cumpleaños y nos dieron comida, una puesta de sol para recordar y servicio perfectamente atento. Nuestro camarero era amable, servicial y amable, y la comida empezó a fuerzas, el amuse bouche ser auténticamente deliciosa y realmente el paladar listo para lo que sigue. Disfruté especialmente las vieiras con Black Pudding, dos sabores contrastantes que realmente complementa la otra! La vista desde nuestra mesa era absolutamente espléndido como el sol en un día hermoso (sorprendentemente) Belfast! Finalmente, cuando estábamos a punto de irnos, nos invitaron a un postre sorpresa enviado por el chef para celebrar mi cumpleaños, un regalo verdaderamente fiancées sensatos y que la noche fuera muy bien redondeada. Una hermosa noche en un restaurante estaría muy rápido para recomendar!

Mi esposa y yo me encanta comer bien y he disfrutado de muchas experiencias fantásticas en Europa, incluyendo el Reino Unido e Irlanda, además de que hemos comido en el Restaurante Mitre muchas, muchas veces en los últimos 25 años, testigo de su disminución en los estándares, evidentemente durante los últimos cinco años. Una experiencia particularmente mala me llevó a discutir los temas con el gerente del restaurante, y me aseguraron que las carencias clave sería abordado.

El restaurante ha sido recientemente renovado. La pasarela a través de las habitaciones y del restaurante le quita todo el ambiente que ruinas solía estar allí. Sin embargo, la comida era excelente.

Almorcé aquí. Tortilla chips triple y cocinado. Las patatas fritas eran mejores que he tenido en años. La comida y el servicio excelente, pero oh, el lugar es como la sala de espera de Dios. Con sólo algunos sombrío música clásica Rompiendo el silencio, y muy pocos clientes, me marché un poco deprimido. Este precioso lugar necesita un desfibrilador (metafórica).

Nos trataron como VIPs desde que entramos en el restaurante. Nos atendió el gerente de Patrick y nuestro camarero Barnabos. Ambos de estos chicos eran de primera clase en su trabajo y entretenidos nos hasta el momento que nos fuimos. Desde las recomendaciones sobre la comida y el vino, a mantener nuestra agua reponía y comprobar que estaban bien.

Cenamos aquí en nuestra primera noche. El camarero era muy atento y nos fuimos en gran detalle sobre todos los ingredientes y sus recomendaciones. La comida estaba muy bien presentado. Como este era mi comida de cumpleaños, nos sentimos justificados en gastarse un poco, así que recomiendo para ocasiones especiales. Visitamos el restaurante Mitre en el Culloden Hotel & Spa fin de semana pasado para celebrar nuestro aniversario de boda. Durante muchos años, Mitre", ha sido nuestra primera opción para ocasiones especiales y nunca nos ha decepcionado. Cada aspecto de la comida es fabulosa. Los magníficos ingredientes, excelentemente preparada, con un montón de pequeños detalles interesantes de nuestros platos principales de campo para mejorar todavía más los sabores. Y nos encantó el crisol, crujiente vieiras en nuestros entrantes. Gracias a Patrick, Ryan y Jade que cuidó muy bien en la noche. Después de la cena, es encantador para relajarse en el fantástico hotel Culloden. En general, es un lugar fabuloso. Esperamos ansiosos nuestra próxima visita.

La preparación y selección de los platos se sale de lo normal. Si te gusta probar cosas distintas este es el lugar...Gran ambiente y tranquilidad!!!

Completado una revisión en el sitio principal de Culloden antes me dí cuenta de que no era una específicamente para aquí, así que mis disculpas por la duplicación, sin embargo, creo que el mensaje debería ser distribuidos tan ampliamente como sea posible que el Mitre restaurante es un destino por derecho propio, incluso si no te alojas en el Culloden, es probablemente uno de los mejores lugares para comer en Belfast. Visité última semana con mi prometido precioso como un día tratar muchos casos sus madres y consumió un exquisito menú de degustación (6 platos no hubiera sido conscientes que antes había taster_nup menús disponibles, pero recomiendo muchísimo como una sorpresa especial para un ser querido, o incluso sorprender a algunos colegas de negocios! ). El camarero era muy bien informado, y los chefs incluso salió al final de hablar nosotros a través de sus sus inspiraciones detrás de los platos, lo que fue un toque realmente encantador. Visitamos el restaurante Mitre última noche como un grupo de cuatro y no haber estado allí por algún tiempo quedamos muy impresionados con la renovación del restaurante. La nueva atractiva decoración crea un ambiente más relajante. vasos y cubiertos estaban relucientes y la nueva China es precioso. Nos acogió cálidamente por Kevin cuyo conocimiento del menú era de lo más impresionante. Nuestros entrantes de vieiras y queso de cabra eran más bien presentado y fueron precedidas por un amuse bouche. Mi plato de piedra bass era excepcional y el puré ahumado recomendado por Kevin era delicioso. Mis compatriotas diners tenía cerdo y palomas, y éstas eran mucho aunque los repetir eran más pequeñas de la lubina de piedra. Cuando llegó la hora de elegir postres Kevin fue nuevamente a mano para describir cada plato. Entre nosotros probamos la mantequilla de maní, chocolate y sangre postres naranja y todos fueron declaradas delicioso. La noche era completa con café y petit fours en el salón relajante. Todos disfrutamos muchísimo nuestra noche y, además de ser impresionado con la calidad de la comida, eran particularmente impresionados con la profesionalidad de nuestro personal joven, todo muy bien entrenado, amables y realmente que quieran disfrutar de la experiencia de Mitre.

Los aperitivos eran encantadores, mi marido y yo teníamos vieiras cabras requesón excelentes. Los platos principales versión era buena, pero la de costilla era incomible muy decepcionante. El personal era muy amable y servicial, aunque no nos lleva nuestro paladar limpiador, que era un mango sorbete, creo que la gente en la mesa de al lado nos dijo . En general no creo que regresemos debido a el plato principal que esperábamos mejor decepcionado.

Disfrutamos de una fabulosa cena en este restaurante. Buen menú amplio pero no cubre todos los gustos, incluyendo comida vegetariana. Una buena lista de vinos. Comida llegó en buen tiempo, estaba perfectamente preparada. El personal fue excepcional, escuchar lo que nos dijo y todo fue perfecto. Tuve un plato de venado, todos los ingredientes locales y tengo que decir que fue uno de los mejores platos venado que he tenido. Chef salió tras los platos principales y está claro que la energía y entusiasmo se traduce en su comida. Realmente excelente ... no me puedo quejar de ninguna manera. Sin duda comer aquí de nuevo y no dudaría en recomendar.

My wife and I had a delicious meal during our stay at the culloden. All 3 courses were innovative and perfectly balanced. Kevin served us with great enthusiasm and knowledge of both food and wine. Looking forward to our next visit.

Mi esposa y yo tuvimos una cena deliciosa en la Mitre durante nuestra estancia en el Culloden. Todos los 3 platos eran perfectamente equilibrado e innovador, servido con gran entusiasmo por Kevin que tenía un excelente conocimiento de tanto el menú y carta de vinos. Ya estamos deseando volver.

Este restaurante es impresionante. El nuevo aspecto contemporáneo y el ambiente es perfecto. El menú y la calidad de la comida mejora cada temporada y el equipo de servicio, en particular en el Sam, James y Kevin con los conocimientos de comida y Ryan de vino es excelente. Sigan con el buen trabajo! También es una maravilla ver el chef a pie alrededor del restaurante tarde en la noche, y responder a las preguntas de los comensales sobre la comida y el estilo de la cocina, muy personal y educativo. Sólo una rápida revisión de decir que nuestro té de tarde en el reciente Culloden era insuperable! Absolutamente deliciosos y en un precioso entorno. No puedo decir nada mejor que eso. Aunque nuestra camarera era un poco absorbida con otra mesa y no era tan agradable como normalmente me gusta en los camareros, disfrutamos nuestro día y volvería sin dudarlo.

Me llevé a mi amigo aquí para su cumpleaños y no nos decepcionó. Teníamos una de 8 platos menú degustación, era bastante en el último minuto y cada plato presentado para nosotros era precioso y delicioso para comer! El menú era muy equilibrado, pollo mousse, jamón Hock terrina, ternera, un toque en un desayuno de Ulster, venado, queso parmesano, patatas, puerros sorbete, cerdo y vientre ruibarbo y jengibre Panna cotta!! Allí donde los elementos de la comida no estaba interesado en e.g el sorbete y el huevo en el desayuno, pero he intentado todo y tenía un montón de respeto y admiración por la habilidad que participan en los preparativos de la comida!

Both food and service were top class. Our server Samantha made some fantastic recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal followed by top notch Irish coffees!

Tomamos el té de la tarde en el Culloden hace unas pocas semanas y tengo que decir que es una experiencia que recomiendo a cualquiera. Excellent food and service plenty of elbow room not rushed as good as I have got anywhere. Only for a special occasion as it is too expensive to eat there every week.

Was here recently for afternoon tea for the first time. It's a very nice, comfortable restaurant with nice views. The afternoon tea was excellent and the service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend.

Whenever my husband and I stay at the wonderful Culloden Estate & Spa we always dine in the amazing Mitre Restaurant ..during our recent stay on Friday 22nd January 2016 whilst chatting with Management and staff everyone was extolling the virtues of the new Tasting Menu which they had sampled the previous day. ..they were so enthusiastic about the new Tasting Menu and it was obvious to see that they all had truly enjoyed the experience .

Nos recibieron en el frente del Mitre restaurante por Jayde y que nos enseñó a nuestra mesa con menús y tomamos una bebida orden sentado.

Nos alojamos en el Culloden por dos noches 18 y 19 de diciembre y comimos en la restauranton Mitre 18 de Ffriday. Fue una comida especial de cumpleaños para que mi marido y yo estábamos deseando que he comido aquí antes y lo disfrutamos. La experiencia fue excelente de principio entrar en el restaurante de nuestro té y café en el salón. Ryan, Kevin y Katie dirigidas a todas nuestras necesidades, nada era un problema. Comenzamos con algunos hermosos panes y luego empezar de sopa apionabos y queso compte precioso. Luego, tuvimos un amuse bouche de cerco con jareta al paté ahumado. los platos principales de lubina y bife de Lomo eran sublimes.
