They do big baos here that they don’t at the other Itsu and they’re to die for. So fluffy and that centre is scrumptious. I definitely prefer the veggie katsu over the hoisin duck though (coming from a meat eater). At £4.99, it’s the perfect light dinner. And it’s always so fresh and hot inside which is important for me as someone who hates lukewarm food.

Rice was cold and hard, sushi was not good rolled and fell apart, also not fresh, i did not enjoy my time and I also did not enjoy my food, very disappointing. The toilet was disgusting, I had to hold in my breath, so bad it was. The chicken tasted like liver.

Great cost benefit. I love the chicken gyozas.

For second time there was something missing on my order. I reported missing order for the main thing but it wasn't even an option to add the extras which I ordered. They said they will make a refund for a missing order but it didn't solve my problem

Food came on time (thank you) but the food felt dried like it was the previous days rice. wasnt soft like normal and tasted strange

Wish they had ITSU when I lived here

I have reported that my order has arrived in a bad condition, soup was leaking over the carrier bag. The delivery man also reported this kindly, but I have mot been compensated as I did not take pictures which is required by policy of the company. Well, I felt like this was looking for an excuse instead of finding a solution how to solve this and making me feel heard. As a customer I don't want to hear why you cannot help me, I want to hear how you can help me!

On a not particularly hot day in Oxford, my tacos were lukewarm at best. I was told "only the meat is heated" - to 75℃ allegedly, but you could have fooled. me. The bored staff made me a fresh dish without the icy chilli ancho sauce on the side, but the difference wasn't noticeable. The Modelo beer wasn't bad. And at least the tacos were made from corn.

The food quality can be more improve and portion can be much more

First visit in a long time and disappointed with soggy burrito and attempt to charge for extras I hadn’t had. Food was quickly falling apart so not ideal for food on the go.

Instead of avo baby rolls received 4xsalmon dragon rolls

I ordered food for an event for my department. It was easy to order and I had no issues at all. The delivery driver was extremely nice and helpful, even coming back to hand us a missing part of our order with no complaints. The food was amazing and went in minutes of handing them out for our event. I will definitely be ordering again!

The food is ok but this is soulless food. No matter how much love the owners claim to put in, it's worse than a McD drive thru for the ambience, and at the end of the day it's mass produced. Find a small local noodle bar if you can

I am not a big fan unfortunately

After having noodle and dumpling soup , which should have been innocuous, I was violently sick etc for the following 12 hours. It has taken me 9 days to get back to normal. Rather a joke considering it’s called a Detox soup! My sister had normal dumplings which luckily didn’t cause her to get food poisoning but they were anaemic looking , soggy and she left most of them. This is fast food at its worst

We ordered chicken gyoza, chicken udon noodles and teriyaki chicken bowl. The first two items were all right, not bad. But the teriyaki chicken had copious amounts of ginger, was very sweet and not to my taste.

As usual in these places, the food is subpar and relatively bland (understandable as they have to cater to massive amounts of people). Still quite alright as far as chains go. Quite speedy to get something to eat, which I suppose is why you'd wanna go here. Staff super polite and helpful, saw them go out of their way to help confused costumers (many people don't understand stuff they order on the screens are self-service from the shelves). Good vegi options.

one of the most revolting meals i have ever bought. We left it on the table with one half bite from each dish it looked revolting it tasted the same so if you are going to spend £11 for fast food go to any of the fast food restaurants at least their food will have as little nutrition as this place but you might be able to actually consume it. i would give no stars but there is no option for that like all these sorts of places the staff are just putting in the hours to food on their own tables so they do their best i suppose

Delicious Asian food. Quick delivery. Clean and friendly.

Visited two to three years ago when studied abroad. Unlike Wagamama, their foods were decent, shop assistants at that time was also nice, Chopsticks were available. Felt like I was in the home country already.

Itsu is your go-to spot for delicious noodles that hit the spot when you're craving something satisfying and quick. The atmosphere is cool and modern, making it a nice place to grab a bite. The portions might be a bit small for some, but the flavors are on point, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. It's a great option when you're in need of a tasty and healthy meal in a hurry.

More expensive than wasabi, but the taste doesn’t compare. All sushi are falling apart and are dry. Wasabi is better.

This is my favourite spot for lunch in Oxford! Its quick, tasty and affordable (student discount!). In summer I love to eat a veggie ricebox under a tree in Christchurch meadow!

Great fresh and tasty food. However, service charges are a bit too expensive. Restaurant was offering 15% off the order, which was basically covering delivery and service charge, so not much of a deal. For this reason, I'm not sure I will order again.

Menu looked attractive, food did not live upto expectations Poor experience with the preprepared food, salmon waver thin, rice was undercooked, whole experience with 3 plates was generally tasteless with food left uneaten.

The place was excellent and the food was at a very affordable price they also finish your order very quickly and they have great service overall amazing restaurant!

The portion given is just nice and price point is affordable! I’m surprised by the udon sauce which is so flavorful! As for the chicken teriyaki I thought would be better if less salty!

They have just changed their recipe for the veggie dumplings and they're now disgusting. Presumably they are now buying cheaper ingredients. There was no tofu in there at all, the dough was much thicker and wetter, not good. Any chance you can go back to the original recipe?

So much better than other alternative taco places in Oxford 100%. Staff are incredibly nice, to the point where i felt like a genuinely valued customer. Only there for the summer, but will be back next year all summer.

I'm gluten intolerant. Traces of gluten don't affect me, but gluten does. I don't have any other intolerance/allergies. So, I took the """gluten free""" Thai rice bowl. I've been in excruciating pain for 4 hours now, with pain killers. I'm glad I'm just intolerant, that's outrageous. Allergies are no joke, you could kill someone (really, I'm not exaggerating). I will never come back to any of your establishments, and don't go "we're sorry" on me, because I really don't care : just don't put gluten free when it's not, and be careful, please, before you really hurt someone.

A beautifully designed restaurant, the meals being cheap, healthy and delicious. Everything is steamed, not fried. The restaurant's atmosphere is very serene, being decorated with orchids, lanterns etc. Would definitely recommend!

Itsu has fallen off massively in recent years. In terms of taste and quality, both were below my expectations. If you do eat here, I would recommend opting for a hot dish as opposed to their sushi rolls. Wasabi is a much better alternative for sushi.

Comforting fast food with an asian flair. It's not authentic enough for our tastes (we've eaten the korean stir fried udon and chicken gyoza udon), but it was delicious and filling.

Chicken burrito with medium spicy sauce, tasteless. Tasteless rice. It was something you could eat, but it was tasteless. Service very friendly.

Itsu is always a treat when visiting the UK. Food always consistent and tasty. Service was ok and the atmosphere is what you expect of a chain. If you want a fix of Japanese inspired food, always a good bet.

Avoid this restaurant, the chicken in the gyoza tastes like raw fish.

We came by accident, but we were positively surprised by the quantity and quality of the food.

It was a nice surprise. We settled on this chain because the other restaurants were full. The quality was there and the 2 teenagers really liked it.

A food outlet that does its job, ie offer up quick food fo those on the go. I was however a little disappointed with the lack of seasoning in the food. All areas kept clean and tidy though with frequent wipe downs.

Came here for a quick & cheap lunch, greatly exceeded my expectations. I had the "Korean stir fry noodles" (Some vegan noodles) and they were amazing, but I don't think the portion was big enough for the £6.99 price tag. The food was customizable, you had many options for additional side dishes like meatballs or chicken. Service was great, I had my order prepared in a matter of minutes. The restaurant was clean, toilets also and what surprised me the most is the option to fill your water bottle for free. Also, self service is available, very useful for people like me who don't know what to order. Definitely recommend :)

I just had my soup delivered. The delivery driver said it spilled and I need to contact for a refund as there was no soup left in the pot. How do I get a refund?

Popped in as it was fairly empty on late Saturday afternoon- ordered noodle bowl with egg. It was tasty and OK nothing super special and noodles were very over cooked. But meet some cast members from the show I'd just seen at the theatre catching some noodles between shows so was happy with the atmosphere. 😁

Fast noodles! We are healthy eaters and try to pick healthier items if we HAVE to eat out...We got caught over lunch whilst in Oxford the other day, and tried Itsu. If you're looking for a healthy-ish Japanese style lunch, try Itsu. Tasty veggie options. My son loved the sushi, although his favourite is tuna. He said it was super fresh and tasty. Our noodles & gyoza were hot and delish. Easy to order, ready quick & the restaurant was clean. We'll definitely go again.

Chicken Teryaki Rice Bowl with an added Soft Egg was nice, if a little lukewarm instead of hot. General ambience of the restaurant was elevated courtesy of a young couple having a bit of a domestic argument in the middle of the restaurant floor.

First time we've tried it and we liked it. Not bad for fast food. There was no need to purchase extra soy sauce, as there was plenty on the tables though.

I kind of expected more as there was a huge line in front of one in London but meh. The food is fine I guess. I ordered a soup and the broth tasted like nothing whilst the meat had all the flavour… 🤷🏽‍♀️ It was a rainy day so I‘m not going to complain all too much about a warm soup.

The order never came, delivery guy posted job as delivered without actually delivering. I called the restaurant and they said it is not their problem. 👍

Miso soup was ok, not much taste though. Teriyaki chicken rice was tasty but rice was undercooked. They replaced it when we asked them. So service was good.

I took some rice bowl, but truly dissappinted as the rice was not boiled properly and it was extremely hard to chew! The taste was not great either! Sorry, but cannot recommend rice bowl items in this place:(

The new ordering kiosks have taken away the quick, easy transaction. I would use the Westgate site to avoid this if you can. I had to stand and wait for a member of staff to input a code for so long that it was easier to cancel the transaction and go wat elsewhere. Before the change, I loved this place.

Good restaurant. Tasty food and served on time. The restaurant allows for self service when ordering food. It also gives customers for take away or eat in options.

Itsu is the gold standard for sushi in the UK.

The food was nice and the service was fast.

Very fast!! The hot noodles are not as good as you would find in shoryu but for everything else it's amazing. Buns, sushi, etc. Takes 1 minute to prepare food! Nowhere is faster for such a great taste. The sushi is the best of course.

Terrible service since they put up the self service points. The girl at the till was more interested in flirting with one of the delivery guys. Super disorganised and slow. I waited more than 20 minutes for a simple box of sushi.

Usually a big fan of Itsu for lunch. This is definitely the worst one I’ve experienced, the sushi was a mess.

My experience at itsu was awful. And I hope it won’t in become sick from eating food from this place! I ordered my usual meal; miso soup and a sushi set. Mid way through the soup I found a piece of hair or fur, as it didn’t look like normal human hair. It was on the seaweed which is part of the soup. It absolutely put me off the rest of my food. I took it all to the till and showed it to staff. I was asked if I would like a refund for only the soup. I said no as I wasn’t able to eat the rest of my food after finding some fur/hair in it. So I asked for a refund for all of it (around £10). The staff took around 10 minutes trying to figure out how to refund me £1,20 as their systems weren’t synchronised. …I ended up not getting all of my money back and wasting a whole bunch of food which I could have enjoyed if not the hair/fur. The staff didn’t really seem to care, they just didn’t want to make a big deal out of the situation which is fair, but it made it seem like hair in their food is some kind of casualty for them. It was an awful experience, topped with an absolute mess within the whole restaurant. The dirty surfaces made me question the necessity of paying extra to eat in.

It tastes bad. Did you bring some Indian-style Japanese food? The dumplings were tasteless and the udon was weird.

I love Itsu!!! The sushi/food portions are large and of great quality, and the prices are definitely reasonable! I definitely recommend the veggie sushi rolls and the udon options — this is a great spot for a quick and nutritious lunch! The seating is also quite nice.

Itsu was one of my favourite places for cheap, quick and decent quality sushi. Since they changed their concept from self service to counter service, Itsu has lost its key features: time and price. With the counter service, waiting times have dramatically increased. With only one person putting together orders you can see your food getting cold in front of you while standing in queue. Prices have increased by up to 30% (for avocado maki at least) and the student discount has been abolished. I hope Itsu realises soon how many costumers they are losing with their new concept and switch back to self service.

This place was perfect. All types of sushi & then some to pick from… and the woman who helped me was outstanding! I told her what I felt like eating and without hesitation she recommended and item and it was perfect! Thank you.

Long wait times even when empty-understaffed New model means you have to wait ages for a staff to add the student discount, and then they take ages to give you the food.

Delicious food but is very overpriced so I only order half an hour before closing time. I do like the selection of food available and the way that it is 'fast' food but is healthy and isn't full of oil.

Worrying temperatures on the ‘Hot held’ meats on the counter. Certainly not in the correct hot holding range of 63 degrees and above. Also meats and beans not refreshed regularly as a crust had appeared on them. Proceed with caution!

hard to compare with tex-mex from the states, but it'll do whilst overseas. even the small burritos were huge - those were definitely texas sized! staff was super-friendly & efficient.
