Mission Burrito in Oxford

Didn't receive the Mission in my questlog, but still got the Burrito. 10/10 would recommend

Josh who served my friend while I sat outside was amazing and couldn't do enough for us fussy eaters, the food was very nice not to spicy and the strawberry drink is amazing

I was served by DJ, he was an absolute legend and very helpful! I hope the upper management from Mission recognise what an asset to the team he is. Will be returning soon 👍

I was really disappointed today. The burritos are half the size they used to be-literally. No longer good value for money and the service wasn't friendly. It put me off. I loved this place but not going to visit again. What a shame.

Sometimes you need a simple meal for health issues. Sometimes you ask for a quesadilla from the kids menu because that’s the simplest blandest food you can find on short notice. It’s super disappointing to get a stern “no you’re not a child” when you’re not feeling well. Would be much kinder to say “I can’t give you that at the kids meal price but I can do it for an adult item price”.

DELIVERY ORDER REVIEW: Ordered a chicken burrito via Deliveroo on Saturday evening. 36 hours later I am still suffering the effects of food poisoning from this, the only food I consumed that day. Reported to Environmental health.

We were a big group of people from many different countries. Most of us ordered chicken burritos. However, there was so much rice and it was like, "spot the chicken!" Very disappointing! Especially because you make the chicken burrito look so delicious for adverising!...😞

When I first started going here years back I found the burritos to be a bit soggy and wet but very tasty,more recently I returned and have started getting the rice box instead which absolutely great. Generous portions especially in the rice box and the quality of the rice is really good too Habanero has a kick to it,if you enjoy spice I recommend it

Best burrito, very filling, never disappointed. With my Deliveroo order they sent me a piece of caramel shortcake as a gift. Very kind.

Probably one of the best casual dining burritos I've had, accompanied by friendly and attentive staff. Try the brown bread tortilla.

I frequent Mission Burrito, especially on Tuesdays when there is a 30% student discount. The staff are always friendly and usually provide very generous burrito portions.

The food was okay the burrito wasn't rolled properly made it difficult to eat and the fillings were cold. Nice burrito but not the best I've had.

I've been here a few times and it has never disappointed. (That being said: having been fine with the medium-spiciness sauce, I thought I would be able to brace the extra-spicy Habanero sauce; let's just say I won't be choosing it again any time soon. Beware of that sauce.)

It’s a nice place with friendly and helpful staff. Food is generally nice, not the greatest I’ve ever had but burritos are well filled and we keep coming back. Also really good drink selection with Jaritos. Overall it’s a solid and reliable lunch option.

Just discovered this little gem of an eatery in Oxford between rehearsal and concert at the Sheldonian. Super quick and polite service offering advice as to how to consume this monster of a wrap with dignity. I asked for everything in and some of the fillings like cheese and guacomole are extra but all in all a fine snack experience. Ended up sitting outside as not much room in the premises and that day was fu... really cold.

Delicious food. Needs more seating or rules in place to stop people holding seats whilst someone queues. A particularly rude customer hogging seats whilst his wife ordered knocked off a star for atmosphere and service was slower than in equivalent places I visited

Love this place! Nestled on a beautiful street in downtown Oxford, they make such great burritos. Definitely the best burritos I’ve ever had in the Uk. Staff and super friendly and make the burritos well, and will stuff them with the ingredients. I’ve been countless times since discovering it and can’t recommend it enough. Bring all my friends who come to visit Oxford here.

I popped in to get something different from burgers to eat. I was met with cheery, helpful and informed service. More than happy to make suggestions and offer advice. The food was good, despite my decision to go for the hot sauce. LOL. Just a warning, I tried the hot sauce first but when it's in a Burrito the heat builds up as you continue to eat.

Kinda like a subway burrito experience. Lovely staff, if you get a loyalty card, it's dubble stamps on a Tuesday.

Good veggie salad box - simple and filling and I liked that they let me do half of each type of bean (pinto and black). It wasn’t anything special but the staff was nice and the food was ready very quickly. They have a number of sauces and toppings to add. It was frustrating that Guacamole still cost extra when usually it is included in veggie orders. They have some outdoor seating in addition to indoor.

Cozy little spot for a bite of lunch. The burrito was good, not great. Sat at the window bar and watch the people go by. University type shop for quick meal.

Average priced burritos but the burritos themselves are above average, its hot and the food is never dry. Much better than Tortilla around the corner. They do a loyalty card as well

To be honest my favourite place in Oxford where always pop in when I'm around, got the pleasure to meet Zack and really made my day. Truly recommend it!! Good job guys keep up you doing amazingly!

Fast and friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere where yoy are encouraged to sit and dine with strangers (though this isn't to everyones taste). I had barbacoa pork and my partner had chicken. It was all a bit tasteless and mushy, not the best example of Mexican food I've had. Probably wouldn't be in a hurry to go again considering the fairly high price.

Lovely, good value, healthy burrito place that also does rice boxes for those who need to eat gluten-free. Has outdoor seating. Cheap and very cheerful, especially considering the location.

I have been coming here frequently for 13 years and never has it been as good as it has now, under the new manager. The food, I'm a veggie now, is my go to when in Oxford. The chef can really cook it up. Much kudos. The front of house staff too are just the friendliest they have ever been. A delight. Thank you.

Was pleasantly surprised by the delicious offerings of this small chain. Tucked away on a quiet street in the city centre, offering a small but delicious offering of Tacos and Burritos.

Nothing quite like a veggie burrito, with the Chipotle sauce, and eating it just outside in the sunshine! Very filling and surprisingly healthy!

I’ve been eating at Mission for over a decade, and their burritos are still the best in Oxford. Ingredients are always delicious and fresh, and the taste is authentic to what most Americans know and love. Highly recommend.

Food always super tasty. Jsut a shame it’s not the same it used to be. Staff has messed up burrito twice and refused to remake it even though it was down to their own fault. Also my daughter choked on a rather large piece of bone so now stop going. Food tastes good still, just when they chose to listen to what you would like in it.

Tortilla got mushy quickly and sauces are quite bland considering it’s meant to be Mexican. Cozy little spot though and friendly staff. Ingredients weren’t consistent though, partner had barely any jalapeños and I had loads despite ordering the same.

The OG spot in Oxford. My only complaint is that they don’t have one closer to where I live (A couple of counties away!). Never had a bad experience, absolutely the best burritos I’ve ever had. I have genuinely been over 50 times and can’t complain about the food on a single occasion. No where else compares…

Me and my mates took a quick stop here and were cuffed to bits with the food. It is 100x better Than chipotle and worth a visit

Good service with polite and bright customer service!!! It was delicious and not too spicy, but the pork tasted like tuna. I think it would have been better if it was a little more meaty. Next time I will order a small size chicken!

Lovely staff, lovely interior, quick service, kind service, the burrito (chicken) was okay. They had ran out of cheese 🙈 it fed me and all, but it missed that cheese. Warm and cosy inside tho and all in all a positive experience.

This place used to be great, but recently has become really expensive. They no longer give you hot sauce, and a small vegetarian burrito with no extras was £7. The layout is a bit over-crammed. The service is generally good, the staff are nice, but not as good as it used to be. The food is always tasty 😋

Taken there following a fab Saturday out in Oxford with our nephew and his lovely fiancée. I loved it just the right amount of everything. You should definitely go.

The gentleman that served us made the experience much better. He has great energy, respect and excitement for his job, and that translates into the general energy of the place. Food is very tasty and super well served. Ultimately it’s still sort of fast food but definitely has a more “home made” feeling and taste to it.

Visited today and I must say absolute perfection in customer service from Zac. The Q was outside the door and he made everyone feel valued even though he was on his own at the time. It was engaging to watch him serve over people.

After coming to mission burrito for more than 10 years, today Zack gave me the best posible service. I hope he stays... Thank you.

I prefer to sit out to enjoy the street view coz couple of eating & drinking places around. It was nice experience.

Ordered 3 burritos via Deliveroo, waited an hour and only got 1 delivered. Driver said to call the restaurant... Guess what? They either don't have a phone or choose to ignore it ringing. Very disappointed after a loyal customer since their opening of their Reading restaurant and later both Oxford ones.

I was sad and disappointed to return after a long time (10 years) to find that their burritos were much less flavourful than I remembered and the ambience much less of a Mexican place rather mire like a British cafe.
