Recently I’ve come across Korean cuisine and have completely fallen in love with it, so have been to many restaurants in London only to realise there was one on my doorstep all along! The design of the restaurant is nice and authentic and the tables are quite nicely spaced apart (not sure if this is normal or due to COVID). The staff were polite, positive and helpful throughout our time there. I never felt the service was slow, but there is a call button on your table if you need the attention of a staff member, and they came straight away when we used it so felt this was a really nice touch. The food was delicious! We were initially given complementary miso soup which was the first time I’d had it and loved it. I went with my vegan sister who didn’t have the biggest selection, but enjoyed her meal nonetheless, and I had the osam bulgogi which was really good. We also had a couple of starters to share which came out quickly and were great too. All the food we ordered came out in good time (but also not too quick that you question if it’s fresh), was piping hot and tasted amazing. We also felt the prices were pretty reasonable compared to what we were used to paying for the same sort of meal. I definitely need to go back and try the Korean bbq! It would have been nice to have some other options on the menu as there were some dishes that were all pretty similar (we felt it was missing stews & bibimbap) but I do understand this is also a Japanese restaurant as well so you can’t offer everything under the sun. Overall, really enjoyed our evening. As there were only a few options for my sister she isn’t so eager to go back straight away, but I’ll definitely be back with other friends or family to try their Korean bbq and fried chicken! Edit: I’ve since been back and can confirm their sweet chilli fried chicken and their bbq was out of this world! Also there was a lovely lady who helped with the bbq as we were clueless!

Lack lustre sushi. Disappointing fried chicken. The sushi rolls we had were a bland mix of flavours. The menu might sound exotic but don’t expect much better than Yo Sushi, or even the counter at Sainsbury’s. The fried chicken was over cooked and the batter was unseasoned and soggy. Really poor. Didn’t even finish the portion they were so bad. Did not compare to the guy that served Korean Fried Chicken at the Redhill market. Also, there wasn’t any wasabi provided with any of the sushi. Finally (eco time) lots of plastic waste with the delivery. For a ~£50 meal I was really underwhelmed. Won’t be trying that again.

The food was absolutely delicious! The place is beautiful, full of fantastic authentic decorations that made me feel like I was across the world. I had never seen a table barbecue before so I was very excited. The waitress was very friendly and made us smile. Seriously, It’s a must.

Ordered a delivery from here on NYE, fully appreciate that the wait is longer than usual, however we were initially told 40 minutes, then 60, then went up to 80. Once out for delivery took another hour. If you can't handle the pressure do NOT accept the orders. Food came, was stone cold, one of the dishes was completely wrong, food looked uncooked and completely inedible, just wanted to throw it away. Paid almost £60 for four dishes and would have much preferred a microwave meal from M&S. So disappointed would never order from here again. Wish i'd have read the reviews on here beforehand. Avoid at all costs.

We placed a online delivery order through Just eat .They happily took our order at 18.30 Saturday evening .We continually phoned the restaurant and were eventually told by Just eat to either wait or cancel order as they weren’t able to contact Miso either .Cheekily said they would let us have a free cancellation .We told them we were disappointed and were cancelling the order . It then arrived at 10 pm ,Katsu curry cold and congealed and the sushi platter at just above room temperature . .We were all past eating and the £40 sushi platter we decided would be safer not to eat after it had been sitting around unrefrigerated for hours . If somebody had just contacted us and said it was going to be so late we could of cancelled earlier . Such an awful experience .They have given us a £5 credit ,but just feel very disappointed that nobody has apologised or communicated with us . Sorry Miso ,we won’t be recommending you to anyone .

Booked for a birthday celebration and was left disappointed. The service was very slow and some members of staff not wearing masks. Majority of customers also not wearing them and never asked to by staff. Tempura and goyoza starter was not great, Katsu main was delicious but again service between courses was slow. It took almost 15 minutes for two of our party to get their drinks. Our party all agreed that the birthday celebrations were somewhat tainted by the service and would not be in a hurry to return

Ordered via Justeat @ £50 but didn't receive full order, couldn't get through to anyone which was understandable as a busy Friday night. However, NO responsibility from Manageress, Julie, she wasn't interested in helping to resolve and get a refund for missing food, according to her it is not Miso's problem .Miso had not included all the dishes that we had ordered via Justeat but I am told it isn't Miso's problem? I received no feedback to my enquiry therefore called Saturday morning, Julie told me I can expect a refund in 7 days but couldn't actually tell me who/what/where this was acknowledged. I asked her if she was the Manager and how long she had held this role as I wished to escalate my complaint, she said I was rude .... our conversation ended with her HANGING-UP on me and putting the answer machine on! !! Charming. I await to hear back from them?

Ordered a collection the other day. Went to collect straight after opening. The place looked a bit run down (cleanliness wise) and we are very fussy about these things. Our food had already cooled down when my husband was there to collect it exactly on time. We would prefer to wait for a couple of minutes more and get really piping hot food. Ordered online and told 20 min. Arrived 20 mins later but food not ready. Asked to take a seat. 30 mins later I asked about my order, to be told it would be 10-15 mins. Why the order said 20 min I have no idea. Why the staff did not tell me there was a long delay with orders I have no idea. But to be left sitting around, with no apologies or any contact whatsoever. The food is good here, but if you're looking for service along with it, you're rolling a dice.

My wife and I have eaten at least 10 times since the current owner has been there. The menu is very interesting with helpful pictures if you have not eaten Japanese or Korean food. We have always received hot and extremely good food. We have just returned from a holiday in Japan and Korea and think that Miso is extremely authentic. It is without doubt my favourite restaurant in the area.

We visit most weeks to eat here. The team are lovely and friendly. Mostly we order sushi, which is of outstanding quality and beautifully made to order.In particular I would recommend the salmon sashimi and the dragon roll which are both amazing. If you’re new then try the platter: that’s how we decided to switch to this Miso, it’s a great way of trying lots of different things.I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a delightful restaurant with great food. You should visit. You won’t find better.

The service was terrible from the moment we arrived. It took ages for the drinks order, the table grill was filthy, they brought the mains before the starters. When the starter did arrive, it was frozen solid, and after we sent it back, the chef came out and tried to argue it is supposed to be like that!

The Reigate roll and Miso Royal roll were both presented with style and care. We found it amazing how the chef seems to be the manager as well. I cannot say this about many restaurants. All staff seem very hard working and diligent. The waiter did well considering it was a busy Saturday night. I could never be a waiter, but he went above and beyond to cater for us. A great evening with 5 star food and service!

I came with my family and we all loved this place. We had the Reigate roll, dragon roll, special sashimi with Korean Soju and the couple combo. This place is a little hidden gem. The chef was so kind to us and we will be back very soon. Just a nice place for the family and we thoroughly recommend to others. A really prompt and considerate service made all the difference as we were all hungry. Superb Sushi.

Miso is the place to go if you want good sushi. The sushi menu isn't as varied as you would get in London but the quality of fish is utterly superb, which can be a rarity in England. They also offer a variety of barbeque dishes which you can cook yourself at the table, a fun thing to do with friends. The service is friendly and relaxed and we always have a great time there. It's my kids' favourite place to go.

Went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and service of food! I had udon lunch set which comes with sushi whilst my friend had the chicken katsu udon lunch set. I think I’m going to book my birthday dinner at miso! The chef is very accommodating and welcoming, such a lovely lady who made sure my friend and I were enjoying our lunch. The restaurant itself is tucked away from the main high street, by a car park. It’s proper authentic Japanese food, unlike Wagamama a few minutes walk away. I highly recommend the sushi!

We went to Miso on a works do so the staff did really well to accommodate all the uncertainty when serving as to who had pre-ordered what! I had edamame beans for starters and chicken Katsu. Having never had this before I was disappointed. It wasn’t what I thought it was and personally wouldn’t have it again. For me it was a chicken burger covered in chip shop style curry sauce. However, some of the other mains looked amazing including the king prawn noodles and the teriyaki salmon. I would go back and try something different. I think personally it was just a bad food choice for me.

Myself and three friends decided to give Miso a try last week, after being told that we would have to wait 45 minutes for a table at Wagamama. I wish we had waited! I had King Prawn Yaki Udon, and something just wasn’t quite right about it, not very pleasant. To start we shared 3 starters which tasted like they had been taken out of a frozen aisle of a supermarket. Poor. The service was excellent, but that doesn’t make up for the fact the food was disappointing.

I was astonished to read that some reviewers had found the food poor and the staff not friendly. We have eaten here about a dozen times and have always found the food to be very good and the staff to be very friendly. Some of the young staff may not have been fully trained but their friendliness and personality have made up for any possible shortcomings. Both my wife, son and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Sunday evening coming back from a festival in Kent, all pubs along the way back to Surrey stopped serving food at 8.30pm. We got to Reigate and decided to stay away from chains and gave Miso a try. Thankfully it was open. We ordered shrimp tempura and chicken katsu. No much wait. Dishes looked nice and tasted good. Nothing to shout about but nothing to complain about. Bottled beer to avoid at all cost: £4

I ordered a noodle soup. It was literally noodles in a cream coloured broth with half a boiled egg and a piece of meat on top. It was not hot but merely tepid, had absolutely no taste and the meat ( which was apparently pork) looked so fatty and chewy that I wouldn't even have given it to my dog.The waitress did not ask me how my meal was, even though she could see I had barely touched it. I explained to her my issues and asked her if she would eat the meat. She looked down her nose and said no.I asked her to speak to the Manager and tell them what I had complained about.I then sat there for a good fifteen minutes with no sight of the Manager. The chef and her assistant were clearly talking about me as they were looking over at me, but as they were talking in a foreign language I did not know what they were saying.I decided enough was enough and went up to the counter to ask for the bill.I asked the waitress if she had spoken to the Manager. She said she had. She then produced the bill.I basically said that as the Manager had made no attempt to speak with me and as they were still charging me for the soup, I would leave a negative review on Trip Advisor and NEVER return to their restaurant. She was very non-plused about this.Absolutely awful food, awful service and a pathetic excuse of a Manager.I'm so glad for Trip Adviisor so that I can warn others.

Went here for lunch as we have visited both Japan and Korea in the past. We certainly were not disappointed. The food was very authentic and extremely tasty and all cooked freshly for us. We will certainly be returning and we didn't find it expensive, in fact it was cheaper than most Japanese restaurants.

Where to start?Well.....We ordered the Sushi Platter (not cheap) and was advised that we would receive a variety of Sushi/Sashimi as it was a 45 piece platter.When the food arrived, half of the platter was, as I would describe it, the cheap Sushi (rice & cucumber, rice and a vegetable, i.e. no fish!). This was pretty disappointing, my other half begged me not to complain, so I decided not too.This is the interesting part; the half of the platter that actually had fish on, was frozen! Rock Solid! I complained immediately to the young chav girl who proceeded to call me 'luv' or 'darling' at the end of each sentence. I was told it was 'just cold' - one I realised she had probable eaten nothing other then Chicken Nuggets most of her life, I escalated it to the manager.The manager was understanding, and took the half eaten platter back. And, as if it were meant to be, she returned with more of the cheap Sushi on the platter!Finally, no discount was offered after such an ordeal!What is most disappointing is I regularly arrange business lunches as this venue where we will spend in excess of £400. I will now be taking my business to the Giggling Squid!If you do choose to eat in this restaurant, I really hope you have a better experience than me and my partner!

Had a very quite meal as we were the only people in this very large restaurant albeitit was a Thursday night not a week end. Service was good with very nice friendly staff. We has sushi which was nice but we thought quite expensive.

I have visited this place several times and always had a great time. I visited again on Saturday with friends and as usual the staff were very friendly and helpful. However the quality of food has gone down hill. Don't know whether the chef has changed, but I was disappointed. It is still great value (£57 per couple) but there is something missing from the place now. A good example was the ginseng tea. In previous visits this was served with a nice pot of honey. When I ordered on this visit, no honey was forthcoming and I had to ask for some. Eventually they found some and I was given a tiny amount. May seem a small thing, but this symbolised the problems in the restaurant.The staff are superb though and the atmosphere is good. Just the quality of the food - the chicken is not great (rather rubbery). I was disappointed as I had sung the praises of this place to my friends before we went in and it was a let down. Great shame.

After waiting an hour for the food to arrive the starter was wrong but I was told 'that's what you pointed to on the menu' !! The beef was tough and chewey, the chicken was just pieces of thigh which were fatty and thick, the noodles were tasteless with what I can only describe as slices of southern fried chicken on the top.All in all very disappointing and overpriced, and to top it all they added on a service charge, needless to say we won't be back.

Went on Friday to celebrate our wedding anniversary & had a fantastic meal! Drinks were reasonable priced ( did a small bottle of prosecco for only £5.50 so we could have a toast!!) and did draft Aashi (). Had very nice mixed tempura to start with the best pork Gyoza we have tasted ( have been to Japan & hubby lived there and said it was fantastic!). Main we had udon noodles, sushi & katsu all of which were extremely tasty . We were not rushed off our table as we slowly finished our drinks which was nice. Very friendly staff as well but not intrusive service. Will be going back

The minimum spend is £35, which is fairly pricy for a take away delivery, especially for us, as there are only two of us, but we thought we would treat ourselves nonetheless. We ordered two bibimbap and a few other bits. The bibimbap turned up stone cold... for those of you that aren't familiar with he Korean dish, it's served with a raw egg yolk on top which you then mix into the piping hot food, which is how it is cooked... as the food was cold we couldn't do this, so I called them for an explanation....Their explanation was that "bibimbap is supposed to be served in a hot stone dish, but we can't do that with take away, we serve them in plastic dishes, that's why it got cold quickly"... So I asked then why it's offered on the takeaway menu if they can't provide us with the dish how supposed to be eaten, to which they had no answer. I then told them that I was hungryAnd asked what was I supposed to do... they told me to stir fry it myself. Outrageous.No offer of a refund either. I certainly won't be ordering from them again. A really disappointing take away.

Staff incredibly rude when take away delivery was delivered stone cold they offered no apology or discount and just told us to heat it up in the microwave or we can send it back ourselves if we wanted a refund. Once reheated tasted horrid and threw half away. Both my partner and I had bad upset stomachs the next morning to top off the experience. A real shame as it's the only Sushi place in Reigate we have ordered quite a few times from here before and thought they would treat loyal customer better!! Had problems before with them delivery the wrong items or with different ingredients which we put down to language barrier but with such disgusting customer service and the way they spoke to us. The delivery menu website even apologised to us and gave us a £10 credit on their website after them also talking rudely on the phone with him for 15mins and not listening and refusing to give an form of compensation safe to say we won't be ordering or eating here again.

We were so pleasantly surprised to find this cute Korean restaurant in Antiqua. It was on the second floor on a sort of side street. The setting was quite cozy. We ordered an appetizer with vegetable and pork and bibimbap. There was also a set of free side dish! I was craving for some sort of Asian food after spending three weeks in Lake Atitlan. It just made my day. The owner is a young man from Seoul. He even brought some big delicate stone art to the restaurant. It is a gem in the city in my opinion.

This is such a hidden gem. Fantastic Korean food, I love the Bimimpap and meat eating friends range about the table bbq. It's just off the street so most people don't see it. Great service and you can usually get a table.

Encouraged by two enthusiastic waitresses at the Reigate Xmas Fayre I slipped quietly into Miso early the next Thursday evening. Was my timing an error? Was Thursday my mistake? Was my choice unfortunate? I simply cannot answer those questions as I am unlikely to go again.Why? Despite the the many positive reports on this site I can only say that I,sadly, wasted my time and money. Let's be generous and say I'd ordered a couple of dishes which could "accommodate" seafood cooked the previous day and left refrigerated overnight. Let's say the restaurant needs to maintain margins so risked losing the occasional customer if they happened to be knowledgeable and noticed the use of "tired" food. Maybe my complete ignorance of Korean food did not prepare me for a meal swimming in cooking oil.Actually my experience, for someone with no knowledge of Korean food, simply suggested..never again. But, as someone who has cooked both privately and commercially for over 50 years my knowledge suggested that the cooking demonstrated a massive lack of care and attention to detail. The two dishes I had were an assemblage of pre-cooked ingredients crudely thrown together with an overwhelming amount of rather nasty oil. Again my ignorance does not allow me to judge whether this oil was simply old, oxidised or typical of this style.Did I worry that my second course arrived before I was halfway through my first? I simply tried to weigh up whether I should finish my first course and move to a cold stir fry or not complete the first course and have luke warm noodles. So many questions....So. would I go again? The ultimate question. Well if I did I would order from the Japanese menu but would be fearful of the lack of care shown by the kitchen.However, I might be completely wrong as many contributors rate MIso highly.You pays your money etc etcP.s The Korean Hite beer was nothing more than a poor copy of a Mid-European lager with a residual rice sweetness but at a strength of 4.3% allows one to have a couple or more without worrying about the breathalyser!P.p.s The taste of bitter oil was still with me twenty minutes later so I stopped and gulped a pint of cider which a) cleared my palate and b) calmed my stomach

I would thoroughly recommend the beef Bibimpap which was delicious. We went on a Friday evening and had not booked they said they were fully booked up but managed to squeeze us in on a sofa table. I would recommend booking a table.

This is a very tasty restaurant and is different from most of the restaurants in reigate being the only one serving this type of food. The staff were helpful and service is good. They also do takeaway.
