Ordered 2 Cury. Both look and taste same with lots of onions. Both sweet no curry

Not good at all...Lamb karahi full of onion and extremely sweet. The aloo Baja again was very sweet and covered in burnt matchstick size potato. Both these curries are inedible. I wont be ordering from here again. Rude staff too.

Ordered 2 curry. Both not as described. When telephoned to complain they dismissed the complaint. Not good people to deal with. How can a kharai be 90% onions. Partners dish similar. Both very sweet no curry. How does that work... do not use..

bit adventurous and try the lesser known dishes. Stafr are frindly, polite and generally pretty amazing :)

Ordered butter chicken takeaway, delivered very quickly but the sauce was so unbearably sweet it was almost inedible.

How can you guys mess up raita, come on guys it’s salt not sugar, I had to bin it cos there was so much sugar totally inedible

Ordered a Jalfrezi. Food was OK, onions in the Jalfrezi were burned but was still edible. Used as my usual Indian was closed today. Probably wouldn't order again.

Huge choice of dishes from the mild to the very hot. Had a chicken sashari masala (think I spelt it right) which was great - chicken tender, sauce had the best of a masala but the sour element of a danzak. Left an after taste that made me want more, balanced ideally with peshwari naan. Started with onion bhaji which were fresh, crunchy and beautifully spiced. Forgot it was a bring your own bottle but this was a good meal (only thing my friend said was that he wished is Karahi had a little more heat). Great price, great service - thank you

Very poor tonight the jalfrezi had no heat at all and the ghost was burnt and bitter it was horrible. Waste of money!

I am gutted to give this place a low rating as it had such great potential but we feel like the quality of food is dropping and there is no consistency. We always get at least one chicken tikka masala and each time it tastes noticeably different. One of our curries today had only 5 pieces of chicken hidden in a pool of bland sauce. Lamb chop starters were sub-par and each time they get smaller in size. 6-7 months ago this was a place that gave you value for your money but not anymore. 3* for the food only because we remember how good it was months ago (points added for the consistent quality of the naan breads). Overall, we don't think we'll order again.

So, only review after a few takeaways and they are all good! Had 5 or 6 meals from here now and i cannot fault one of them! So tasty and delicious, i highly recommend !

Went on a Saturday evening and it was busy, saying that we didn't have to wait long and the time between starters and mains was spot on. The fish pakoras were fantastic with a really light batter. Both the chutney garlic chicken and chicken tikka balti were gorgeous with just the right amount of spice. The staff provide a great friendly service. Recommended 😊👌

The nann was burnt and the rest of the food was cold

Despite being in a large party and not the only on during our visit. The food and service was spot on. The food was nicely spread out so no one was rushed and you wasn't left waiting think when are we going to get fed. Despite being two large parties on the night we went, the food was all correct and to a great standard. Very Friendly and efficient service. I highly recommend this restaurant. Even my partner who doesn't like spicy food thoroughly enjoyed his meal

Ordered a take away meat madras all I can say is it was amazing. Staff on the phone were so polite as always never had bad food from here ever. Always tasty and staff are very polite and friendly can't wait for our next meal

We had an absolutely wonderful birthday meal at mirchiz. Food was great, service was excellent, they explained all our meal choices and described the heat of the chicken boti (very spicy). Chicken saag was excellent. All our party enjoyed all our meals and will definitely be returning again!

The food is amazing as always the onion Bhaji's are the best I have ever had. For main I had Chicken Rogan josh again beautifully presented & tasted wonderful. highly recommended.

Came here for the NYE menu. Could order from the full menu and the portions were as generous as they normally are. Excellent staff, food and atmosphere.

We were booked in for 5.30pm Xmas dinner for 7 family members We had 4 courses and we all enjoyed it Everything was perfect We would definitely return a good price for what we got and bonus you take your own booze

20 of us out for a birthday meal and I choose the Boti kebab starter. This thing was ludicrously hot to the point it left my mouth in so much pain I couldn't eat anything else. Waiters coming up chuckling asking how it was, obviously finding my pain and discomfort entertaining! If you're going to put personal challenge items on your menu then damn well advertise them as such. You ruined my entire evening! And I will never be back again!

Very tasty. Would have given 5, however, I ordered honey chicken but received lamb. Luckily, I'm not massively fussy with meat but feel I would've enjoyed it a lot more had it been chicken like I'd actually ordered. Will order again, good quality food.

We visited Mirchiz a few years ago & having had a terrible meal, we never intended to go back but recently, after hearing lot of positives about the place, we decided to give it a another go & I am really glad we did. Service was great - all staff very attentive & polite. Food was delicious - I had the chicken Karahi & mushroom rice. You can take your own alcohol which means the meal is great value for money. Only downside is, it is CASH ONLY. Luckily our friends had their debit cards on them so were able to draw out money, as my husband & I tend to use apple pay for everything, we would have had to eat elsewhere if it had just been the two of us as we wouldn't have been able to draw out cash. Maybe this could be advertised in the window & on the website to make it as clear as possible.

Came here after the amazing Rothwell fireworks. First thing is that it’s cash only at the minute so a quick retreat to the post office cash point. The restaurant is clean (a little battered in places) and well set out. Service was great throughout; 3 very friendly waiters checking in at appropriate times. Menu was extensive with loads of choice with special dishes and classic curries. We had the paneer tikka and prawn puri, then an assortment of lamb and chicken curries of various strengths, rice and naan. It’s bring your own booze (but not soft drinks) so we gladly obliged as did everyone else. I’m really surprised this wasn’t very busy however a few groups came in around 7.30.

Easily the best Indian restaurant I have ever tried, service, food, atmosphere etc!

Fantastic food and fast delivery

Just called for an impromptu early evening meal. The welcome was warm and sincere and the service attentive without being intrusive. Then we get to the food, I love the food her and this time opted for the chefs special of Coxs bazaar. I've never had, or even heard of this before but boy have I missed out. It was lovely and was accompanied with GinGer rice and a Peshwari Nan. My wife had a chicken Passanda and was equally impressed. Top Tip, try a lassi of your choice :)

Tried this for the first time. Had the chicken tikka starter and a chicken curry. It’s very good. I would definitely recommend this place. Price was brilliant. I will definitely come again

First takeaway since new management, great meal. Lamb melted in mouth, absolutely excellent. Bhuna sauce very tastey, personally would like more texture (hence not a full 5 star). Great bhaji and chaat. Chapattis good too. Will be back. Definitely the best in local area.

The food was ok, but the tikka massala was very sweet. The flavour changes every time we’ve ordered. Think we may try a different Indian takeaway next time.

Disappointing to see a note on the door stating CASH ONLY. Who carries cash these days? Personally avoid cash only establishments as it feels like some tax avoidance going on.

Far better than last time we came when the service was shocking as it took ages for the food to come. Hot curries were just that with our two mains of garlic chilli chicken ( hot ) and chicken jalfrezi. I choice rice with peas and it was a big mistake as it was hard almost uncooked fried rice. The jalfrezi also wasn’t the greatest. Two choices I’ll never make again. The garlic chilli chicken I was told was good. Empty plates around the table of six so whilst I wasn’t too impressed by my choices, the food generally was good.

This restaurant is absolutely brilliant. The quality of the food is incredible full of flavour. The restaurant forgot my poppadoms and even though I didn’t call them, they quickly delivered these almost straight away without fuss and gave me extra. Been using these since the new owners took over and will continue to eat their delicious food. Thank you guys

We visited Mirchiz over several years from when they first opened up untill a couple of years ago when we stopped going following a very poor meal and poor service. Having seen that it was under new management and reading recent reviews we decided to give it another go and I am so glad I did. The service was great and the food was excellent I will certainly be going back. Well done Guys

Lamb, very tuff manager very rude not bothered because ,we complained ?when we were leaveing told us to get out and don't come back that's customer service for you never go there again while that management there so be aware if your food not up to standard it should be don't complain or don't even go

I was something of a regular here in the past but this was our first visit under the new management. Still very good value, great food and now they provide you with decent napkins - nice little touch I thought. New menu so some interesting...

The food was beautiful. Cooked to perfection and full of flavour. We have always avoided ordering from here but we are more than impressed and will definitely order again! The delivery driver was polite and friendly too. Highly recommend.

Under the last management I swore I would never eat in Mirchiz again. However, in a recommendation of a friend we have had 3 x takeaways and all we’re exceptional. We decide to eat in here last night and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and timely, the guys couldn’t do enough for you but the food was amazing. We will 100% be back and likely be regulars if they keep up these high standards. Hugely recommended.

Ok place.. I'm afraid the food is very average. After reading other reviews I was expecting good things. Sadly my wife and I were unimpressed and probably won't be hurrying back.
