First visit with friends, Indian food not really my favourite but went along with it and was not disappointed. Excellent service with a laugh and a joke and the food was very very good. Still prefer Chinese but will definitely return.

Now The Raj. Dropped in on the off chance, never been before, so pleased that we did. It was about half full on a Tuesday night which was good, a nice atmosphere. First and foremost could not fault the service, there were 3 front of house so plenty to cater for everyone. They were very polite and service was not rushed nor slow. We had the mid-week special, but don't let that mis-lead you, the food was very good quality, good portion size, served hot and value for money. Drinks were not expensive and we had a good bottle of red without paying a fortune. Not a complaint at all, but for us we like the lighting to be a little more dimmed. Overall, we had an excellent evening and will definitely be making another visit soon.

We are regular visitors to the now called raj new years eve and pretty much every weekend. So we ordered our food as normal on their website as we usually do but this time there was a problem it didn't go through but they took the money . Being regulars we thought this a quick easy fix however we are now 5 days on and having to argue with Abdul about trying to get our money back he is rude argumentative and very dismissive extremely disappointed and we won't be returning maybe the owner should retrain his manager

Wedding anniversary in lockdown boo. Decided to treat ourselves. Very glad we did, really nice food, good selection and very delivery. We will definitely order again, and when restaurants reopen will we try that also. Thank you

Saturday 16th Jan 2021.We were recommended to try here, ordered from just eat and was looking forward to some nice food. I ordered Lamb Shakora, the meat was a tough as old boots. My partner had Chicken Korma, we know this is a mild but bland is what it was! Not usually one to complain but we will not be returning :-(

Go here often with family. Staff are friendly and helpful - they are brilliant with my eldest girl who they have accommodated since she was a toddler. Great food too.

Well what can I say ordered at 6pm phoned them again at 8 got told be 1/2 hour still not arrived at 9 , phoned again got told 1/2 hour again still not arrived at 10 , gave up wast of time not be ordering from them again , there plenty of really good takeaways in scunthorpe to order from that appreciate your business .. be warned

Visited this restaurant for the first time on Monday evening. Very pleasantly surprised, the service and food were both very good and quite a few tables were occupied considering it was a Monday night. The lighting could maybe have been a bit more subdued but that’s a small detail, would definitely return.

Placed an online order at 6pm it said it will be 45mins , called at 7.30pm to be told it would be 25mins ! It’s now 8.45pm and still not here . I appreciate people are busy but just say it’s gonna be 2hours + so people can then decide for themselves ! Won’t be getting my custom again. Edit - turned up at 9pm chips missing and cold ! Avoid avoid avoid !

13 of us went for a friends birthday, we all asked at the beginning of the night if we can pay separately. The waiter said they cannot do this and simply remember what we ordered. End if the night we all paid for the food we had and they insisted there was £20 still not paid. We was in there for over 45 minutes all writing down what we ate and paid for. The staff would not cross off their list what has being paid for, they said we cannot leave although we all paid. It wasnt until we said we will ring the police to sort it that they said just leave. They clearly tried adding onto the bill and got caught out! Be careful and check the amount

We visit at least once a week. The food and service is always top notch. J.C is always on hand to make sure everything is as it should be..

Still waiting for a takeaway order nearly two hours after putting in the order. We have phoned twice to enquire where are food is and both times been told it’s ten minutes away. Toast for tea!

Very average food. Curry was bland and very oily and the chips looked and tasted like oven chips. Such a shame.

We visited sat 30th March for the first time , and it won’t be the last time . Fresh modern looking place , clean and tidy , Service was spot on and food was excellent. Was nice touch the manager came over and ask how things were See you again in the future

Came here as a big party on 8 th March for a birthday meal . We had an absolute blast ! The staff out front were brilliant and made us so welcome we had a fantastic time laughing and joking with them. We all ordered different things and we all said the food was just amazing. 5 of us are chefs so we know quality when we taste it and this was excellent! We even had the pleasure of meeting the chefs and kitchen team at the end of the night to thank them for the hard work they did preparing the food. It’s not very often you get to do this as a chef you are in the kitchen and don’t get to meet many of your customers! They were so overwhelmed with our comments on the food bless em . Overall a fab night with great food and excellent customer service. We will be back soon guys. Looking forward to seeing you again soon !

After trying this restaurant with my usual Thursday night curry crew I went again with my girlfriend and my cousin visiting from London. Two amazing meals. I’ve got to say this is s gem of a place. Very friendly staff amazing food. I think this will be a regular feeding place for me now. Awesome menu very reasonably priced. Lots of meals I’d like to try so I urge anyone who loves Indian food to give this place a try.

Was a regular and our favourite place to eat, but sorry to say not any more. Went for a special family gathering, was given a 2 hour table slot 5.30pm to 7.30pm as they had another booking for 7.30pm, which was fine as some of our party had another engagement at 8pm. Arrived on time, bearing in mind that they open at 5.30pm, placed order which was just mains, then waited, waited, and waited.....waited 1 hour 40 minutes for food to arrive. During this time we watched take away after take away go out the door. No apology, even when we kept asking where our food, all we got was it will be here in a minute. Didnt even ask if we wanted more drinks. Brought warm plates out to appease us, 20 minutes later still no food. When the food finally arrived, we asked for more warm plates, but what we found insulting was one of the waiters said....that we arrived too early! Next table booking arrived whilst we were still eating, which made it uncomfortable for us as they stood watching us. 3 of our party had to leave for the other engagement without finishing their meal. Website asks for feedback good or bad etc. Written a letter to owner of our disappointment and as of today nothing. Food is awesome....service, we will leave you to decide. But we wont be returning in a hurry.

We visited the Mint Leaf for dinner on Valentine’s night. I had tried to book a table for the previous weekend, but they were fully booked. The restaurant was full at 7 pm. A very extensive menu plus a set price menu at only £10.95 for two courses including a rice or Nan bread. We both chose from the set menu & had an Onion Bhaji & a Chicken Pakora starter. Very generous portions & we shared both. For Mains we chose Chicken Bhoona & Chicken Karahi curries with plain Nan. Both excellent & the Bhoona possible the best we’ve ever tasted. The Nan was nice & thin just how we like it. Not too heavy & doey. The tables filled up several times while we were there so obviously very popular. I would recommend booking a table. We shall definitely return to the Mint Leaf.

I went to this place with some friends for the first time. It is very modern & new inside & the staff were friendly. I had veg biryani which was okay, not the best I’ve had but not the worst either. It was a bit tasteless, as was the sauce that came with it. The onion Bhajis were nice, but one of them them was a bit undercooked inside. My husband had lamb biryani with hot sauce & he loved his. It’s a reasonably priced place. But not much parking nearby, you need to park on neighbouring roads. There is a car park, but it is only for the shop & many people have had tickets.

Gorgeous food first time visit with friends will go again and try the teatime special 10.95 per person lovely decorated and clean toilets best Indian we have had in a long time we have also tried the takeaway and that's brill too worth a visit

once again the food on our 3rd takeaway was fantastic , prob the best tasting iv had in this area, but come on guys the delivery service really needs sorting out, told 45 mins and arrived on around 90 mins , i have an irrate and hungry wife , sort this problem lads and youll have one of the best

First time trying mint leaf this weekend after hearing good reports from friends. I had the tikka biryani which was lovely and liked the fact the curry sauce had no veg in and it was also made spicy as requested. We also ordered the chicken madras which my boyfriend said was one of the best he has ever had. Requested delivery time of 19.30pm and it arrived exactly on time. Next time that I visit I will have a sit down meal. Do not hesitate to try this place you won’t be disappointed!

good but slow food not very hot slow on drinks had to ask a few times for order if you sit by window and it cold outside you can fill it

Arguably the best Indian food in the area, consistently delicious, staff are excellent and professional, premises are always clean and tidy. We struggle to eat anywhere else now as nothing compares.

I know that this is an odd way to start a review but if you go here DONT park outside the shop as apparently it is private land and you will get a private parking offence ticket stuck to your windscreen demanding money for parking illegally (?) as I did. What ? Really?

Best Indian restaurant and takeaway in Scunthorpe by far! Wouldn't go anywhere else!! We keep conning back again and again never disappointed with anything

I found Curry Leaf at Epworth to be superb so was dubious that i would find another Indian restaurant with such delicious food of the same quality - couldn't have been more wrong! Several meals and take aways later, i still find i am impressed each time. There isn't anything on the menu i haven't enjoyed but would recommend the chicken nambali and peshwari naan as favourites.

First visit after hearing good things.Booked as a group with children on a busy Saturday evening,shown to table,drinks order taken.Very attentive service without being overpowering & extremely helpful with the menu choices & our additional requests.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced they hung the phone up on me was not interested in telephone order customers this was the second time I have given them a chance but believe me there will not be a third time star rating on th people running this restaurant/takeaway -10. These people need to remember how to treat people and not take loyalty for granted.

After receiving some high recommendations from Friends and Family we decided to give Mint Leaf a try rather than the other Indians restaurants in Ashby. We weren’t disappointed, the interior is well decorated and modern. The staff are very friendly, especially Yas and the they had Cobra on tap (which is always a bonus).

We went for it opening at 5.30 it was starting to get busy and people were calling in to collect takeaways. Very efficient staff even though they were busy we didn't have to wait long between courses. Everything about the meal was excellent and not too expensive either.

this was our first time at the mint leaf and we were very surprized how roomy it is inside, we have tried to book many time but could never get in. we were meet by friendly staff and all our food was great. would recommend this restaurant and hope we can book again very shortly.

We enjoyed a lovely meal out with friends at Mint Leaf last weekend. Fantastic restaurant with a great selection of food for all tastes, in tastful surroundings. We will most definitely be back.

My first order with this indian & it didnt go too well. Was told 45mins - 1hour for delivery, in the end it was almost 2 hours (I only live 1mile away) . I rang after 75mins and was told it was on the way, then recieved a call from the delivery driver who could not find the address. Eventually we directed her to our house. The food was delicious anf very tasty, no complaints on the food at all just poor delivery service. I will collect food next time.

I had a curry in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago at a not too upmarket restaurant and I can tell you it was faultless. If I was to judge the takeaway I had from here to that I would have to give this one zero. My order was incorrect for and the food, swimming in oil, my madras only tasted of chilli powder and had a raw taste to it, all the food was poor to average, not for me.

We were celebrating our birthdays with family, the staff were extremely helpful as we had already had to move the date of our visit at short notice, they managed to accommodate us and we are so glad they did. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and was busy, however this is no way effected the service, it was excellent. All the dishes we had were delicious and we all had made different choices, none of us could fault any of the food we had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Mint Leaf and we will definitely be returning.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening meal at Mint Leaf - it was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the meal and the amazing friendly service by the staff - we will certainly visit this restaurant more often

Brilliant meal from here ordered starters, mains and side dishes all was cooked very well and tasty indeed. Staff was all polite and friendly. Will deffinetly be returning again soon.

Had a lovely family birthday meal. Food was fab - I had the seafood Tiffin fab, our waiter Naz was fab & the bill was very very reasonable. Fab time had by all. First visit but will deffo be back

Ordered takeaway several times now, and the quality has always been top drawer. Always freshly cooked, and really tasty. Whereas the wife always has a veg korma (?!), I try to vary my choice each time. Never once been disappointed with a curry or side dish; especially the naan breads.

It was our first visit and we were really impressed . Great food and service too. We will definitely be going back.

Visited the new Mint leaf with my partner for the first time on our monthly ‘date night’. Lovely decor, not too noisy, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Mains were a little delayed so staff came over to let us know and apologise. Food was lovely, full of flavour and not oily. Happy to recommend and will be going back.
