We never go anywhere else in Stortford for Indian food. Fantastic meal as always and great, friendly service. We've been going for many years and always had a great experience.

We wouldn’t go anywhere else for Indian food. The service is wonderful and the food is fantastic. I also like the fact that we bring our own beer.

We ordered two different meals and both of us became very poorly after eating. We had different chicken curry’s, different rice and different naans. We both ended up with very upset stomachs

The food was lovely and we really enjoyed it. However, the lid to one of the dishes had completely come off and the contents of the bag were covered in Masala sauce. Loved the food.....wasn't keen on the bag of sauce.

Third time ordering from Mint Leaf, trying new things every time and it doesn’t fail to impress me. I’m glad there are a number of different Indian restaurants of high quality in the area.

Ordered the chicken spicy tikka masala and it was the perfect spiciness for me, the flavours were delicious. The spicy masala went really well with the peshwary nan. The lamb in my korma was nice but the sauce was sickly, a bit too sweet.

Poppadoms were stale and bendy. Ordered 4 chutneys and specified which ones. Ignored and gave us 2 not wanted, which went in the bin Starters should also have had mint sauce. Missing Really poor

Perfect, great portions and nan breads

We’ve order from this restaurant on loads of occasions the food is normally brilliant. Unfortunately this time the food was late and cold. On complaining to JustEat we got a gibberish email that made no sense. Despite providing irrefutable proof we won’t get a refund. Mint Leaf have lost a long term customer. I don’t suppose they’ll care!

Really really unhappy tonight. So dissapointed. We had a 15 person dinner booked at 7pm week ago for tonight. Arrived and seated. Recieved poppadoms and sauces. I asked for some glasses for our drinks. Why did the servers look at us like a piece of rubbish? Came to placing an order and I asked for him to do 3 separate bills due to 3 separate families. Server went to me: Thats just going to be confusing. How is this confusing? Create 3 different group orders, tally up their meals, 3 different totals. Server: the food will all come out randomly/same time. How is that a problem? We are all together, of course we dont care about that. So that was a first annoyance. The audacity of the server to ask me to ask the children to be quiet. Hell no. We have a disabled child who has physical verbal problems and 2 autistic kids who can't control their emotions. You have the nerve to ask me to shut my kids up, because the 2 miserable women in the corner (WHO CAME IN AFTER US!!) didnt like the noise. YOU as a restaurant, should of INFORMED them that a big party was here. Instead we get told off for making noise at a birthday meal. Then to top it all off. The bill. We ended up getting the all the bills mixed together, wrongly totalled. We ended up having to total it all up ourselves. How can you cock up that bad? Tray of 4 sauce dips. £5 per tray??? Ridiculous. To top it off, no apology, all the servers had pissed off faces. Looked at us like dirt. We always come here and usually its fine. But we wont be returning anytime soon.

The standard of the food here and take away service is excellent . Consistently good flavours and intensity of flavour . Somehow they have managed to keep their prices reasonable as well despite inflation.

Arrived in good time. Well packaged and great authentic flavours. Portion sizes were smaller than local competitors.

The food was barely warm even though the delivery was on time. Dish advertised as medium but there was more spice in the onion bhaji.

Items damaged and leaking, missing items. Not very warm and my chicken bhuna didn’t have much flavour….or chicken!

The lamb as always was perfectly cooked and perfect quality.

Amazing service just moved to the area and gave my address out wrong no thought of my own but they dealt with me with my order amazingly and very understanding even though I gave them the wrong door number they came back out to deliver with no cost I would definitely use them as my number one Indian food was amazing thank you again for ur understanding

Pre theatre meal, we went in at 5pm, only people in the restaurant - unsurprisingly at that time! Very nice service, well priced, plenty to eat, all tasty. Thank you!

Food badly packaged, liquid leaking out of containers into plastic bag. Food cold. I couldn’t eat mine even after heating it up. Never again. Very very late despite two calls. They had one driver who wasn’t working but should be honest about true delivery times.

Never had a madras that tasted fruity before - did not enjoy, masala was so salty, couldn’t eat either really. Very expensive considering and was also late. Wish I could have refund.

Lamb dansak, prawn sag, bombay aloo, mushroom bhaji, garlic naan, rice. All very nice, tasty and good value. Recommended.

Very very spicy not your normal biryani

Had a takeaway from here.. chicken korma, lamb korma, onion bhaghi and sagloo potatoes, meat was a bit dry but potatoes were ruined by the spice on them! normally they have spinach and parsley on them which is a lovely combination.. but why spices?

The rice order was incorrect but everything else was good!

My food turned up 2 hours after I ordered it and it wasn’t even warm. I chased the restaurant twice and feel that the service I had was unacceptable. No refund offered. I should have cancelled and cooked myself frankly.

On par with Le Raj and Ashoaka but not willing to wait an hour for a £3 (15%) delivery charge in addition to the service fee.

I love Mint leaf. Food is so fresh and delicious, I’ve had quite a few meals from here and have enjoyed every single one. We recommended it to friends and they’ve converted too!

Lovely food great flavour ordered from them twice now becoming my favourite Indian for takeaway will go to the restaurant in future.

Overall a little disappointed with my Chicken Jalfrezi, but it wasn't terrible. I'd be prepared to give something else a try in the future to be able to provide a further review.

Delicious and HOTT food! Very tasty, naan bread was great, everything was yummy. The food came PIPING HOT and almost an hour earlier than expected.

Had bland curry with two small pieces of chicken all the rest was onion absolutely disgusting never go back again 50 pounds worth of rubbish

We asked to be ordered at a certain time as we were working and we’re going to be home late. Order turned up 20 mins early. I would ask the restaurant on weekdays especially to keep an eye on order time. If you offer this option use it.

The food was cold when it arrived

Apart from the food being bang average, they advertise they offer a 25% discount for NHS staff. This, I can confirm, is a massive lie. Wont ever do business with them again.

I collected a takeaway from The Mint Leaf last week as we have had some really nice food there in the past. However, it has changed and not for the better. I ordered Chicken Dupiaza and it was like a carton of leftovers with no taste. The rest of the food was not much meat and a lot of sloppy sauce. In addition, there was a group of 15 men aged early 20's all eating together with no social distancing going on. My understanding is that only family bubbles are allowed to eat together at the moment and this looked like a football team. totally unacceptable and irresponsible.

This is the 2nd time I have used just eat. 1st good but I was not local. This time my food took 2 hours to come and one of the items was wrong.

Terrible service from this establishment, the driver just disregarded the delivery instructions , and rudely told me He foes not have time to read them . And I should be lucky he delivered my food I WILL NEVER USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN !

Went here last night with friends. Lovely food and nice friendly staff. Excellent value as well as the restaurant is offering a 25% discount on food Sunday to Thursday at the moment. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be back soon 😃.

We've tried a lot of Indians in Bishops Stortford - you really are spoilt for choice here, and we've mainly gone to Ruby's. However we tried a takeaway from Mint Leaf a week ago and it was absolutely fantastic, by far the best we've had locally, better than Rubys and probably one of the best Indian takeaways we've had in a very long time. I had chicken jalfrezi which was excellent - note that you have to ask for normal chicken jalfrezi otherwise they will serve chicken tikka jalfrezi which seems to be a thing in Bishops Stortford at all the Indians for some reason. We also had Goan lamb, veg samosa, chana masala, pilao rice and keema naan. We will definitely be getting our takeaways from here in future, I just hope they can keep up these standards.

Food arrived 25 minutes late, Lupe warm. By the time I had got through my started the main course was freezing cold. When I called and spoke to the manager he said "we will.have to sort you out next time" funny man because there will not be a next time terrible service and rude people

We've been long term customer of the Mint Leaf both for dine in and takeway and despite trying most of the options around town (and farther afield) we always end up back at the friendliest curry house. The food is always great, there's a decent menu to select from and service is brilliant..

Appreciating current situation and likely high demand on takeaways, I received two false delivery times with my food arriving around 2 hours after ordering. Then when I did it was not correct! I will not use Mint Leaf again.

Amazing food, and the delivery driver was sensible enough to call me prior to leaving the restaurant to check directions (we live in the middle of nowhere!) Great service all round!

I have had two meals here, and on both occasions enjoyed the food and service. Far to often curries taste the same, this chef balances and flavours the curries, so you can taste the difference.. I look forward to returning soon.

Popped in on a wet monday night to use a groupon. Place was pretty busy (that's always a good sign). Service was spot on, food was hot, tasty and really nicely presented. Can't fault it. (dunno why people on here always seem to find something to moan about)We'll be back to Mint Leaf soon

Great food , I have used their sister restaurant Le Raj which only does take away’s for years , and never realised this was owned by the same people . The food is as good as I am used to from Le Raj which is frankly beautiful . Staff very friendly and accommodating . I willBe a regular from now on .

Went here for a change as havent used the Mint Leaf before and was a pleasant surprise, the food was excellent and reasoably priced, and the service was attentive, the waiter advuised that there busiest periods are obviously the weekends and a booking would be advisable, and that a Buffet is provided on Sunday which is vey popular, we will certainly be trying it out in the near future

Me and my friends visited Mint Leaf at the start of January and had a fantastic experience. The food and hospitality was amazing, I will definitely return.

This restaurant is amazing. MY partner and I have been coming here for a couple of years now, and although food in many other places is good, nothing compares to here. Taste is exceptional, service is always friendly. I can’t recommend it highly enough. You will not be disappointed.

You can not fault the mint leaf! The food is incredible and out of this world! It’s a really friendly atmosphere, all the staff are polite and know how to look after their customers. Fantastic place for special occasions, if that be birthday meals or just a couple date night. The Mint Leaf is by far the best Indian restaurant in bishops stortford and I have been coming here for years. Even after to moving to a different town I will still order from here or travel to eat here.

Had a confirmed booking for a Saturday evening made through a Groupon voucher.When we arrived we were told that the voucher was only valid Monday to Thursday.Below is a copy of the Fine Print from the Groupon voucher where nowhere is this mentioned. Was made to feel very uncomfortable. We ordered a takeaway Saturday evening, we were advised it would take 30 minutes, 1 hour and 45 minutes later it arrived. They got our order wrong, the food was cold, over priced and didn't taste nor look nice. Very disappointed.
