Ming Garden in Wigan

Harvest House actually has fresh fish food. I just bought this steamed fish. It is really delicious. I want to eat it in strips. Friends who want to eat fish, please go and try it!

Green curry chicken rice, one of the best i have ever tasted, cant have enough rice with the sauce! Fab really fab food and service!

Nice new take away shop in Ashton-in-Makerfield, lovely Chinese style food and friendly shop members there. I order a spicy chicken, salt and pepper squid, special fly rice, so yummy and big portions for me and my son. That's great and highly recommended.

Used to the be the best, reasonable prices, tasty food. Since it’s changed hands the quality of food has seriously nose dived, quality of ingredients has cheapened and charged more for the privilege. Very disappointed. Hope the new owners take note and improve.

Absolutely disappointed since it has changed hands. Some of my order was missing despite being charged for it. When I rang to tell them they were disinterested and no apology given. Food tasteless, service shocking. Have been a customer for over 20+ years, will not be returning.

A great little chippy. Food is gorgeous, service is friendly and busy but she's a tooper of a worker. Start speak for themselves. I did that above review a good while ago, the main lady who worked there has now left and I feel that things have gone down hill a little. Some food has a taste of plastic in it and bless the new girl of the till as she is new but needs more support (not by her fault) due to wrong change being given and portion sizes have gotten slightly smaller. Other than that food is good but not brilliant like it used to be.

Fabulous food, parking up can be a little difficult when collecting. The Salt and pepper chicken appetiser is outrageously good.

Best Chinese food in Ashton / Wigan

Ordered food for my family unfortunately the fish was inedible and sloppy, it tasted awful too! When I returned to let them know that the fish seemed uncooked I was told it’s not cod or haddock it was another type of fish I had never heard of and it had cooked for a very long time, we left the fish with them and was not offered and refund or apology. I believe it should be advertised what type of fish they are selling as to new customers we would expect cod or haddock.

Ordered tonight for the first time less than 25min from ordering to delivery. Plenty food and very tasty. Will defo be ordering again.

Didn’t have half the items they said was available and everything that was made was far too greasy, made me sick and messed up my order wouldn’t recommend

This is the third time to buy food here. The quality of the food is really delicious. I have the same taste in Hong Kong. It makes me miss it very much. It really makes me very satisfied!

Sadly the quality and quantity of food has declined markedly since the change of ownership.Good protein has been replaced by excess carbohydrate.Less meat ,less prawns. .

Usually really good from here order quite regular ordered tonight and got to say it was awful chicken balls were rock hard very thick batter and chicken inside was really dry foo yung was tasteless and prawn toast was extreamly thin with hardly any filling is it under new ownership ???

First time to try this restaurant, nice food with great price and service. Food are kept hot when back to home. Would come back and try other dishes 😋

we ordered from here tonight although we waited half hour for it my 4 year old daughter wanted to pay and get the food so she went grab bag off lady and she pulled food away nastily and said i want money 1st although she seen the money was in her hand to pay she was absolutely heartbroken over way she was spoken to as was disgusting to speak to my partner was there but i wish to god i was as i would of emptied contents of food all over the shop floor

We quite new to area so 1st time tonight as tried a few Chinese around the area. Lovely food, the only down fall was we rang in and was told 30 to 40 min went after 40 mins to have to wait another 15 in the shop and they did part of my order then did someone else's then rest of mine which I found abit weird. Will definitely go back n give it another try tho .

Can’t complain with the food, it’s great it’s cheap and they deliver. Only given a 3* as a 50/50 marker about delivery as they are not the quickest at delivering. Has to wait almost 2 once in the middle of the week and then the food arrive cold. Recently been told that they gather several orders before sending a driver out, which makes sense but a hour to hour and half should be the longest you ever have to wait anywhere.

Absolute appalling customer service and they even resorted to threats when I called to complain, I ordered a dish that wasn't as advertised in the menu only to be told its your problem now!! Avoid at all cost disgusting people!!

I live 20 mins away other side of Wigan, went past last Friday popped in just fir a couple of soups as I was peckish, saw the meals being brought out, special chow main, it looked fantastic, I don’t normally buy that but I said to myself al go back there and get that, so went again tonight as I was passing on way home again from work.. I wasn’t disappointed... I’ve now passed my reccomendations onto fellow friends, there’s a little wait for food but that’s ok as the food is worth waiting for. A little gem of a place. I am now a regular customer for sure..

Nipped just for a bag of chips and I have been waiting for 20 minuets and they still aren't ready. Their customer service is shocking. Any other chippy I have been to you are served a portion of chips there and then. Won't be coming again.
