Ming Dynasty Chinese Takeaway in Trafford

Unfortunately, this will be my last order from here. Every time I order online, I'm given a time for delivery and it's always late and I don't mean by a few minutes. I mean over an hour. You might get an apology but that doesn't make it any better and it happens again the next time. If you were given a later delivery time and it turned up on time, surely that's better than it being 90 minutes late as it was last time. It makes them look bad. I ordered tonight at 6.40pm. Tonight I was told 7.25pm. It's now 8.10pm and the food still hasn't arrived. I won't be ordering from here again. Its ridiculous! If I could cancel the order, I would but I paid by card and I have no cash to order from somewhere else 😡. I just rang them to ask where my order was that I made at 6.40pm. I was told that I ordered at 7pm and it is an hour and a half wait. I tried to explain that the delivery time said 7.25pm but he said it couldn't have. The man was extremely rude. He asked if I still wanted it and said he'll do it now and then put the phone down. He didn't even know who I was or what I had ordered because I never got the chance to tell him! Even if I had have ordered at 7pm and there is an hour and a half wait, its now 8.45 and it still isn't here. Food has finally arrived at 8.50pm

they had forgotten part of our order, they chips were dry and the gravy tasted like gone off curry sauce and the salt and pepper chips are basically plain chips with a few onions. the first time i tried this restaurant the food wasn’t cooked properly but i decided to try it again and was disappointed for the second time. would not recommend.

Best Chinese we've had in years. Everything was top quality and really tasty. Portion sizes great too. We'll be back!

Furious the food was rotten greasy and my steak and kidney pudding was still frozen! My clothes stunk when I came out of there aswell! I used to use this chippy regular years ago but it’s defo gone down hill

Great service - especially when requesting alot of "no this and thats" e.g. onion, garlic, little salt, msg etc... Great portions especially for price. I can't find a better (non vegetarian) takeaway for vegetarians ... this one provides most range, for a great price, portion and taste! I normally don't advocate takeaways...but if I'm going to have one - I highly recommend this one.

i have to say i have used this takeaway for many years but in the past few have found it lacking - not really for the food - but watch out for the watery style curries - but customer service !!!!! I recently placed an order for what should have been £19.80 when it was delivered it was a whopping £24.00 - rang them up no hope - the only answer was that the prices have gone up and i was charged an extra 80p for updating my curry to a mixed one (could i find one prawn in there to indicate a mixed curry - hell no !!!!!) Person who answered the phone has claimed that shes been asking the manager to take false advertising off the website - what crock !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing offered for all my years of custom btw - will i give them my money in future ? Hell No!!!!

The best take away in Stretford. Portion size is enough for 2! Recommend salt and pepper chicken or spicy vermicelli.

Im always in there. Good food at good prices. Never had any problems at all. Sometimes i order ahead using the local takeaway app so my meal is ready for me when I call in.

i used to pop in here regularly and always found the food lovely and staff freindly, tonight i ordered hot food online for the very first time after being talked into it by my daughter as neither of us wanted to cook or go out as our local take away was shut, food didnt arrive at expected time gave it another half hour before ringing," was told on its way" nearly 15 mins later it arrived, guy just said "order" i said "yes" bag handed over and he was gone. how dissappointed was i to open a bag of lukewarm food, it didnt even look appealing, chicken was dry, chips were dry, the only thing my daughter was happy about was there were no mushrooms in her curry, plenty of onions probably made up for that, she said compared to our usual place there was plenty of chicken in it, i could almost accept warm food if there had been any sign of an apology as if i had gone out for it myself by time i got home it would have cooled down , no apology from shop on ringing or the driver on delivery, ended up disposing of more than what was eaten. may be was a busy evening but im not willing to try again, mostly due to their ignorance in not acknowledging they were nearly an hour late and not apologising, in others word just basic good manners and customer skills.

Consistently good takeaway. I'm waiting for my next meal now and whilst I'm writing this review my mouth is watering!

We go here often from the office for Friday dinner treat. It's always good food and service well recommended if your in the area.

I have ordered food from here on several occasions, this evening I called to place an order, we spent over £30 but was told that because we had ordered a special menu we didn't qualify for the "free chicken wings if you spend over £30" it doesn't state this anywhere on the menu so I questioned it, she shouted at me and said you get the special order, our menu has changed you cannot have it, as she was so rude I cancelled the order and ordered from China Garden which is beautiful btw! 30 min later food arrived which I paid for and sat at the table, once I opened the bag I realised it was the food from Ming dynasty which I had cancelled!! As I had ordered else where I called Ming dynasty to ask them to send the driver back to collect the food and bring me my money back, she basically called me a liar and that I had not canceled and I am a bad customer, I explained that that is not a way to speak to customers and she said I don't care and slammed the phone down, I waited about 20 min and the driver did not come back, I called again to be told she didn't care and she doesn't know when the driver will be coming and said ok I will come to the shop now and bring you your food she said I don't care again and slammed the phone down!!! When I arrived at the shop (which was filthy unfortunately) she was rude again and would not give me the money back out of the till instead making me wait for the driver to return which she asked me to wait outside in the rain for him ( i said no,I will wait in the shop thanks) she inspected the food and could see I had not touched it other than take the paper off, HOWEVER it had been sat in my house for near an hour and I believe she fully intended to re sell it....ewww! In fact she gave the dim sum to an unsuspecting customer as a 'free gift as you are such a good customer' !!!.... the driver arrived 10 min later who was very polite and returned my money straight away. needless to say I will not be returning to this take away again,

I have been going onto this chinese takeaway for many years as l live locally in Stretford.. The food is ok, not the best chinese takeaway in Stretford.. I used to go in here maybe 2 days a week for quite a long period of time but slowly went off going in here for the following reasons..l was put off by how rude and how miserable the 2 members of staff were (They are the owners l think) They never smile and sometimes you will be waiting in the queue and they will not even acknowledge you or say sorry for your wait.. They will take your order and the phone will ring and they forget your order and answer the phone for 5 minutes... At one point 6 months ago l nearly went to trading standards as there was a big black hair in my chips (l was actually quite sick) I have since been in and everything was ok. Food ok but quite possibly the worse service ever. As a result of such appalling service l only go in once a month and they have lost out on loads of business from me.

We use Ming D's regularly and have never had bad food or service. The place is pretty scruffy and looks like it's not seen a lick of paint or had a change of menu since about 1983! However the food is excellent (both Chinese & Fish/Chips), staff efficient & friendly, loads of choices, big portion sizes, great value for money. Can't fault the food at all, just love it!

We have had our dinner from here many times before and their dishes always cooked to perfection with the same taste..The lemon chicken and the fried noodle specially made for us the best dishes we ever had from any other take away shops..The chef knows his stuff and the lady by the till is brilliant and very friendly!

Ming Dynasty offers a full take away service as well as lunchtime and evening "all you can eat" buffets and is my Takeaway of Choice in the Plymstock area- no one does a satay chicken as well as they do!!The food is always fresh, hot and nicely prepared and they will deliver within the local area.We have also visited the buffet several times (mainly at lunchtime as it is half the price of the evening buffet for virtually the same menu) and again the food has always been freshly cooked and the buffet area clean and well presented.A great place for a buffet or takeaway! Thoroughly recommended!!
