Eat East in Trafford

Great food, great service and amazing staff attendance. Waseem helped with great recommendations, made us laugh a lot and made it a great experience. Would recommend anytime.

Ordered online on the 29th December, the noodles were stale, the rice was stodgy, nothing had much flavour in it and charged me £3 for around half a dozen prawn crackers, tbh after paying over £40 you’d have thought they would be free, wont order again

It’s gone downhill. 2 years ago, this was by far the best Chinese takeaway in Altrincham. I recommended it to everyone and never had a bad meal. Something has absolutely changed. Everything just tastes of cooking oil and they almost always miss something off an order. If you order prawn toast, they don’t include any chilli dip like they used to. 2 years ago, if you spent the best part of £100, they would chuck in a free bag of prawn crackers and some fortune cookies. Not anymore. Food is expensive and underwhelming. Service is not what it was

Only started to cook it when I came back to pick up takeaway after half as n hour. Shocking

One star to review. Ordered the salt and pepper box which unfortunately didn’t taste at all like salt and pepper. The chips were really dry but soggy somehow. The ribs lacked meat and the chicken wings far too much batter. The whole meal was really greasy and didn’t taste fresh in the slightest. £27 for the salt and pepper box, prawn toast and delivery - it just really wasn’t worth it. Will stick to my usual place ‘good choice’

Tasteless overpriced food. Rude lady answered when enquiring if online order went through. Told me she was too busy to look. Bland chow mien with substituted green olives. Undercooked chicken, chips and dry non cooked noodles. Avoid this place if you can

We ordered 4 dishes and 2 were incorrect. By the time we got home it was too late to go back to swap them. We also thought it was expensive for the food. We ordered a beef dim sum and received a prawn one and a chicken chow mein and received a vegetable one (but we were charged for what we ordered!)

Tasty food, good choices. One dish was missing its tofu - but overall very nice - everyone enjoyed their selection

Food is good, one of the better local chinese restaurants. Unfortunately removing a star as we had an incredibly rude delivery driver (ordered directly from eat east, not deliveroo)

Decided to try East East as an alternative to my usual take away restaurant. Have to say I was disappointed overall. The flavour was Just ok, and the Chicken Bamboo dish ( no 189) had no Chicken. Salt and Pepper Spare ribs at £7.30 was also a let down they were all fat and bone. The fried rice was poor, I’ve tasted better out of a packet from Sainsbury . I’m glad I gave it a go, I’ll be heading back to my usual place next time .

Ordered online and told be ready in 30mins. Took nearly two hours and people queuing out the door waiting. Food was bad when we finally got it. Never again.

Had a superb meal - enough for 4 meals , if not more , such were the portions ! It was all cooked freshly and the quality top notch . If this is not No.1 place in Altrincham , then the others must be wow !! the staff were quick and very service focused, especially the `front-of-house` lady who was smiling and even brought forward our order as I arrived earlier than I booked it for.

Ordered on NYE at 5pm when they opened, told they wanted cash for delivery even though we were happy to pick up but they obviously wanted the cash. Was expecting delivery for 7.45pm, phoned them at 8.15pm to enquire to be told the order would be at least another hour. Shambles, cancelled and wont be using them again.

Lovely food and the staff is absolutely incredible! The kitchen is flawless and everything is squeaky clean! Also some of the best Chinese food I've ever eaten!

Eat East tastes the same as I remember. But where are those who share the memory?

This place only got one star so I could write a review...! To be clear, I am not someone who readily takes the time to complain on-line, normally cant be bothered. Ive been here before, good food. I didnt get any this time...! I arrived to collect at 720 as instructed. The place was full of people, Id be surprised if there was 2 cm between all the Deliveroo drivers let alone 2m. There was anger in the air, people shouting, and whilst they continued to take orders on the phone (very other call was some poor customer shouting about a failed delivery), they would not engage with the people in the shop asking where their order was. A chap stood next to me, resorted to ringing the takeaway from inside the takeaway to get them to talk to him....! They answered and when they realised he was stood in front of them they just put the phone down and walked off. I was asked my name twice in 40 mins, only for them to walk off and that be the end of it. I have no idea if they even had my order or not.......the worst service I have ever had anywhere.

Food has always been excellent, service is not I'm afraid! Far to many on line orders to fulfill, which certainly take priority over telephone orders. Hour and half waiting time for collection is just to long.

Good Chinese takeaway, freshly cooked, good portions and no issues with the orders. Very happy with the quality. Has been our go-to takeaway for at least a year now. Appears to be getting busy with the number of orders during lockdown2 in November 2020 but no compromise on quality.

My go to Chinese takeaway service is prompt staff helpful and the wide ranging menu.

Not sure how this place has got so many good reviews... terrible meal! Fried rice smelt like dish water, salt and pepper chips were done using oven chips, satay sauce was thick with a layer of oil on it! Will not be ordering from here again!

Placed an order via Deliveroo that was accepted straight away by Eat East. 50 minutes later I recieved an email saying they could not complete the order with no explanation.

Excellent food at this restaurant, the quality is really good and the portion sizes are generous. I got takeaway from here on the weekend (after moving back into the area after a few years away) and I wasn't disappointed. I had the sweet and sour king prawns with egg fried rice and some har gow dumplings and everything was delicious and hot. They even gave me some prawn crackers with the order.

An absolute disgrace! The prices online differ to the prices in the takeaway. This lead to us being severely overcharged. This is false advertisement and is illegal. Furthermore when we received our food it was rather inadequate compared to the extortionate prices. Much of the food was over cooked and very bland in flavour. For the reasons highlighted above i would wholeheartedly not recommend eating at this takeaway.

So far I've ordered 3 times from Eat East and each time it's been superb. They have an excellent range of veggie dishes and I've tried a variety of them and must say they were all full of flavour and authentic. This place has become my favourite Chinese takeaway and taste and quality wise it beats the best Chinese restaurants in Manchester.

They forgot the most important part of the order and were not willing to make up for it and also we repeated asked them for it.

This place is in a quiet place off the road but worth a visit. The food is excellent especially the Singapore Vermicelli. Give it a whirl if you are looking for a good Chinese/Tai food..

We ordered a wide range of food including Singapore Vermicelli, Crispy Lamb, and Beef Chilli with rice and soft noodles. All freshly cooked with quality ingredients and nicely packaged in good time. Best take-out in Altie

They serve up the crispy duck that you can only dream about. But the egg fried rice needs more egg in it.

We eat regularly from Eat East. The food is really excellent and is always ready quickly. The staff are very friendly too. Eat East don't deliver, but you could always call on Deliveroo! They serve Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Malaysian and Vietnamese dishes.

My partner and I always get the banquet for two. It's absolutely delicious and the best Chinese takeaway I've ever had! The Dim Sum starter is the standout dish for me, each piece is amazing.

We found this Chinese take away five years ago. The food is consistently very very good. The kitchen is spotless and lovely service. They should open a restaurant.

The salt and pepper ribs are amazing..Great to order and collect, only does take away though so don't expect to sit on and eat a meal.

Paid a visit on 1 October 2016. Ordered bean curd in black bean sauce and egg fried rice. Very nice as usual. They all thanked me for my visit. Nice people and good Chinese takeaway cooked in a very clean kitchen. Pay it a visit good choice even for vegetarians like myself

The food here is very good, doesn't look saturated in fat and has a nice clean taste. About 15% dearer than a chinese chippy takeaway

We have been ordering food from Ear East since living in Altrincham at least once every fortnight, and it is always great. They have a wide variety of foods to order and we have yet to find something we don't like.The spring rolls and the prawn noodles are our musts, but there are many other delicious things. The place is open from 5pm and it's always clean and tidy. You can see the kitchen from the counter and see all the woks and the cooks in action.Great great place, I miss it when not in Altrincham!

I happened on this take away by chance but I'm really glad I found it. From the service counter you can see your food being prepared in the kitchen, flaming woks etc and appeared to be a careful attention to hygeine. My food was as fresh as it can be having watched it being cooked and was really delicious. A shame I live miles away as it is far better than any chinese take away that I have near where I live.
