Mimi's Coffee and Dessert Lounge in Hounslow

Food and drinks (especially vanilla frappuccino and vegetarian breakfast) and service was 10/10. Nik was a really polite and helpful server! The music can be a teeny bit too loud and the place is a but dark if you're away from the window. In any case, it's a lovely place to sit and have coffee and food.

After leaving airport didn’t expect to find anything except fast-food or hotel snacks at 11pm. Mimi’s offers not only deserts. I had jacket potato with various extra toppings plus club sandwich. It was great. Nick service was spot on. Only issue I have is that after scanning QR code to preview menu. To my surprise few days later found it in my cloud storage. Breach in private space. Mind what you scan people!

Preferred whole experience at Mimi’s under old management. Seating not comfortable and decor not nice at all. Very limited halal options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was so so. Not terrible but not great.

Not been since the new management but I must say I was so impressed. The place has had a makeover looking lovely. I was able to actually have a dessert being gluten free. I don’t usually write reviews but I had to this time. Mimi never fails to deliver the best quality but this time round I asked for a special request and as a customer I was pleasantly surprised by what was delivered (see photo). Not only did they add extra chocolate on the waffle they also gave more on the side. I couldn’t leave feedback on Uber but I wanted to thank the staff member who did this. Made my day! ☺️

Customers are being offered a big discount by the new owners to anyone who will write a 5 star review so here’s my honest review. (See pic below of first review before ownership changed) Mimi’s used to be my go to place (I was a regular for over 3 years). The service and quality of food was always amazing, I looked forward to going there, whether it was for making it my remote working area for the day or regular breakfast spot with loved ones! Out of loyalty we continued coming even after ownership changed. Here’s how it’s been: Visit 1) We came for breakfast, we had to wait a long time to order food, and they said food would take a while as they were busy. When we asked if we could have our drinks in the meantime, they said they couldn’t promise anything - 30 minutes later we hadn’t received our drinks, so we cancelled our order and left. Visit 2) We ordered via Uber Eats (which we’ve never had any issues with ordering in the past when it was the previous owners). Our order arrived with both items with incorrect/missing toppings. I called up and said that the order was incorrect, the lady in charge told me that they had a new chef training in the kitchen and they’d remake it immediately and we could collect and get a refund via UberEats and they would call Uber and request it on our behalf (2 attempts later and I’ve been refused a refund by Uber.) Once we collected and opened the box we noticed that once again they’d given us the wrong order! When we called and spoke to the lady again, she blamed us and said there were 2 Oreo variations and we ordered the normal one not the white one. We opened up UberEats whilst on the phone to her and got the exact item up that we ordered, and went through the entire menu and explained there’s only 1 Oreo variation waffle/crepe listed and it specifies white chocolate sauce. She then said there was nothing else she could do now and rushed to end the call. At this point we just wanted to eat our dessert after so much hassle, opened it up and it was an overcooked crispy crepe that was awful! (video attached) We have tried giving Mimis multiple chances in the hope it improves, but the new owners have really dragged down the reputation of what was once a favourite local spot to many.

A great place to celebrate mother's day. We chose classic breakfast and pancakes. Very filling and very tasty. All washed down with a milkshake. Delicious. Place has a nice vibe and staff are friendly.

Honestly, Enjoyed the food, the service was amazing yet tho there was one staff who was very rude, he didnt let me and my friends seat on the sofa area saying it was for a bigger group and yet few minutes later, he seated the same amount of people me and my friends were on those tables, I severely think this is very mean of the staff, Definitely recommend the food but before you go make sure to think about the Staffs and Service.

We decided to try the newly redecorated Mimi’s tonight. We realised it was under new management as soon as we entered as the staff didn’t look familiar. This was a nice coffee and dessert place but now it’s been unnecessarily redecorated and the seating is very awkward now and difficult to reach food on the table. The quality of the food has gone downhill and the prices have gone uphill, this place was very decent before. Need to highlight how poor the gelato was at £3 per scoop, which is a major rip off. The gelato tasted weird and rubbery. The servers were friendly and welcoming which is a positive. After tonight’s experience I’m afraid we won’t be visiting again and don’t recommend this place. There are much better places in the vicinity especially in Hounslow West and high street.

I'm Mimi's longtime patron and have been going to the new owners' place regularly. For the last three evenings I have been visiting with my daughter's and friends, I've been getting a ferrero rocher milkshake and a  latte made by Moxada Sheth(staff member), which the staff cooked especially for me. I suggest you guys to try these in her (Moxada Sheth, Staff) presence. She additionally boosted our evening tonight. Although they were closed, I went to get an order and saw her. I told her to make it. It's deliciously delicious.

I have visited Mimis numerous times when it was owned by the previous owner. Its recently been taken over and redecorated. Under new management: Nicely redecorated. Seating choice not thought through. Uncomfortable. Not enough chairs. High glare of sunlight coming through large windows and makes it very hot. Wait till summer, you will be roasting and blinded by the sun LOL Menu has changed but not for the better. When we arrived, 6 people had already walked out because they hadnt been served. Had to get waitresses attention to be served. They removed Knickerbocker Glory Sundae from the menu so I ordered candyfloss sundae. In their NEW menu it clearly states 'with strawberries'. Instead, I got some strange tasting gelato with bubble gum sauce and marshmellows. I was offered some strawberry slices and sauce but I was so pissed off at that point that I said no cos it didnt taste anything like candyfloss. Waiter lied to me and said my sundae was from the old menu. Coffees were fine, cheesecake was nice. Just your normal simple offering where you cant go wrong. Wrong spoons given, and not given enough sugar. No apology from the waiter, just excuses. Just humbly say sorry. This place has gone downhill for food and service. I suggest before you get your alcohol license which I can see you applied for, perhaps look at improvements to your customer service and menu! Secondly, you spent so much money redecorating, to be honest, (you didnt need to), maybe you should have spent the money on changing or improving those awful large glass windows which are a nightmare on a sunny day during all seasons. And have more staff if you cant cope with a few extra customers. On a final note, removing/changing the menu. I get why you did it but removing halal breakfast in heston/hounslow lol. Knickerbocker Glory sundae is also a popular sundae aswell as other ones you have removed. Better off going to another dessert place. I wont be coming back here. Anyone reading my reviews, dont be fooled by the recent 5* reviews. I was a regular at Mimis before the new ownership. Read the recent reviews from those that say they were regulars at mimis prior to new ownership...the ratings are low now!

Loved it! Got the eggs benedict with avocado and it was super delicious! Spent the afternoon with a couple of friends and our kids, the staff were lovely and super accommodating!

A beautiful dessert parlour with amazing service..Lavita was so kind, welcoming and cared enough to have a conversation with us. My children had the nutella waffle and devoured it in seconds..I had the apple crumble and custard which is fresh, hot and delicious. Everything you would want a crumble to be and a very good portion size. Highly recommend and would come back again!

Go there weekly as it’s our local dessert joint - Top-notch atmosphere, food, service, and hospitality - absolutely incredible desserts /waffles, crepes, cake and the best milkshakes I’ve ever had - like they’re home-made. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Keep up the great work guys!!

The first impression about any place after atmosphere is how welcome the staff makes you feel. Top marks for that. A happy place. Food is fabulous. Lovita took good care of us and kept checking on us throughout. Returning for sure.

This shop has no idea what they’re doing, service is abysmal and seems like the staff do not communicate with one another. Waited 30 mins for an iced latte and a cake with custard.. the guy who took my order forgot my drink.

I came to Mimi's Dessert Lounge last week, this was my first time since the change of owners. The two male staff members who welcomed us and took our order were extremely helpful, the food was delicious, the wait for our order was normal to that of any other restaurant. I am genuinely thankful for this positive experience and plan to return for more desserts. Thank you very much.

Now under new management and a much improved customer service experience! The staff are very friendly, chatty and honest and the decor is a lot more tasteful. Would recommend a visit.

I've been here three times already, and I have no complaints so far. Portions have a decent size, and I love the fact that I can come for coffee & dessert after work as many cafes close after 5! Nice songs, soft lighting, and comfy sofas create a relaxing atmosphere, perfect to chill with your friends or partner. It's been my go to for midweek after work catch-ups with friends.

I was a regular at Mimi's before I moved from London but was excited to try my favourite dessert place while popping down on a visit. There is a new management and since the refurbishment the decor has a late-night lounge feel, which I am sure is intentional given that they are soon to be serving alcoholic beverages too. I ordered our usual Apple crumble (icre cream) and Tottenham cake (custard) and Oreo milkshake. The crumble tasted as amazing and I had the Tottenham cake which I was sceptical because it seemed a bit burnt but turned out delicious. The female manager behind till was friendly and welcoming, the service was quick although they did make a mistake and gave me a choclate milkshake. I only found this out when I drove away but because it was smooth and tasty I decided to keep it. I will be back again and recommend the Apple Crumble and Tottenham Cake.

Waiting over an hour for food, when it finally arrived it was the wrong order. The second time it came it was wrong again. It’s all new, inexperienced staff and the management are all off sick. First and last time ever coming here. Had to ask 4 times for chopped hazelnuts. Their saving grace was the owners (new recent) compensated the whole bill of 13 people.

Update: We've been coming to Mimi's for years, I think it has taken on new management who are also lovely and welcoming. The menu has slightly changed offering savoury foods such as burritos but I personally had the chocolate fudge sundae which was a massive portion and delicious! Mimi's is a wonderful local business, excellent customer service, friendly and welcoming and their desserts and drinks are delicious. My personal favourite is the chocolate fudge brownie sundae however the smoothies are also very refreshing and the waffles are so soft! Not to mention everything is excellent value. Such a gem in this area.

Service very slow, cookie dough took long time, toilets dirty, place looked unclean

Rude service. They refused us at the door, 1 hour before closing and then. They later changed their mind and when we sat, they said it is store policy we spend £10 each. There were 12 of us, some being diabetic, and also toddlers which makes no sense. Staff were so not friendly at all. Disappointed with the change in management Never going back there again, too many garbage people 🗑

This used to be our local “go-to” desert place. However since our first visit today with the new owners who have taken over, the level of customer service and the food quality has gone down hill!! My partner had the chocolate strawberry waffle which was ok, and presentation wasn’t too bad, however when they served 2 scoops of ice cream in a cup the presentation was non existence! It was quite literally just 2 scoops slapped into a cup with no care for presentation at the costs they charge too!! Mimi’s you need to up your game, regardless of your “snazzy luxury feel furniture”, there is a-lot better competition out there who take far better pride in there presentation and look after their customers local and from a far!!
