This is my favourite food and drink spot in Leigh on sea ( and there are a lot to choose from) Staff are great, friendly and helpful. The garden is lovely with chill out music playing discreetly. The food is great, homemade and good portions. I wish it opened on Sundays!

Outstanding as always! I’ve visited Milly’s many times over the years having know the owners as both colleagues and friends and it never fails to disappoint. The food is fantastic and the service friendly and professional. I highly recommend the baked ham with butter beans in a tomato sauce and my partners pork & Stilton pie was outstanding! The courtyard had a great buzz about it and then a pit stop in the shop on the way out to pick up some goodies completed a lovely lunch!

Milly's knocked up a hamper for my parents and delivered it for free with a handwritten note. They chose a great mix of stuff, working to a fixed budget and switched over a cheese after delivery when asked. Above and beyond customer service during the corona crisis, lovely range of quality produce and so helpful over the phone.

Had a really nice lunch here today, a great choice of salads to accompany mains. I chose Greek Gigantes and a French been and Mangetout salad with nuts and an orange dressing. The sausage roll had fennel seeds on the pastry and was very nice. My partner had the cauliflower cheese soup which was excellent. Nice popular quirky cafe/deli.

So lucky to have this haven of a deli on our doorstep. Top quality produce and outstanding service. Have been a regular here for over 10 years and it never disappoints. This was our first evening meal at Milly’s after numerous attempts, and on last nights offerings it will not be our last. We were welcomed by Ben and shown to our table in this very interesting and eclectic cafe, it reminded us very much of a Parisian Bistro on the Left Bank, marvellous, and the music was very fitting for the evening. The menu was everything we love, and cooked to perfection. The service was very friendly, not at all intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and looking forward with excitement for the next one. Thanks Milly’s, it was delightful, see you soon.

The atmosphere, welcome and service are amazing: it is such a nice place to visit. Milly's is the essence of Leigh Road and beats Broadway by a mile. The salads are delicious, the gazpacho was a triumph and all-in all, just a lovely relaxed lunch in the garden. Deceivingly spacious restaurant with plenty of outside tables at the rear of the building. It was a blisteringly hot September Wednesday when my wife and I decided to luncheon at Millys. We both chose the ham baguette with smoked cheese, vine tomatoes and green salad with mayonnaise and tea for two. Very tasty and plentiful fillings in a nice crispy crusted baguette. The pot contained enough tea for a refill. The table was shaded with a parasol to shied us from the mid day sun. Several children were dining, some in high chairs. A really pleasant experience with good service and very affordable.

I came here for lunch with my boyfriend recently. To start the tables were so wobbly that I almost spilled my drink lots of times. The menu was limited which was half expected but they had also run out of a few things. We both ordered a ciabatta which had one sorry bit of ham inside and literally 5 crisps alongside it. The bread tasted stale and cut my mouth, and was £7.50!!! (Or something similar). Not worth the money spent, I could go to tesco and get a meal deal for £3 which would taste better. This may have been a one off experience as all the other reviews speak very highly of this place. The decor is cosy and perfect for winter but unfortunately the food was just no good and overpriced.

They only open for evening meals on the first Friday of every month and there is only one main course on the menu. On the evening we went it was Turkish Chicken. Slightly off the main restaurant stretch of the Broadway in Leigh, this is a lovely cafe meets deli meets shop. With lots of small tables spread across the lower floor of the building, this is not a place for larger groups. The menu is varied with sandwiches/ ciabattas, but personally I love the mix and match salad and main element to the menu, where you pick two salad areas and one main area. The only problem is which one to choose. Can really recommend the celeriac & sour cherry slaw which was amazing and the cous cous was better than anything I've tried to prepare. Quality ingredients, amazing results and a very fair price. In addition very friendly & efficient waitress and although it was busy the attention to detail didn't falter, even the tap water came in classy quirky bottles. Having read the reviews, my expectations were high. I managed to park almost outside so that helped. However, despite the very friendly, pleasant and helpful staff, it was a let down for me. Doesn't help that I'm not a cheese eater and the menu was rather cheese orientated, with some other, to me, rather odd dishes. I eventually chose bacon and mushroom quiche with salad. I thought the quiche would be cold, probably because that's how I eat quiche, but it was hot. Asked if it was home made and was told yes, but not on the premises. Fair enough. Salad was a bit misleading. About 8 leaves of what I think was flat leaf watercress, two halves of one of those marble size cherry tomatoes and a chunk of cucumber about the size of my thumb nail. Sorry.....that is NOT salad. For £5.50, not good value. Had a slice of Millionaires Shortbread. This should have a thick filling of caramel but although I could taste it, it was almost invisible. Left still hungry, went home for coffee and a sandwich. However, the four friends I accompanied all raved about their food so it's probably just me being a fussy eater.Waitress offered us a jug of tap water without us asking which was nice.Staff brilliant, helpful,,friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Not impressed by the uncomfy mis-matching chairs. Yes, I know this is arty and eclectic but not my style.Mums with pushchairs poured in and were made very welcome though they did all go into the garden and I'm not sure what would happen if the weather was bad as there would be no space for them inside.Do I recommend? Rather not say. Will I go back? Definitely not.

My partner and I visited Milly's this weekend having seen the rave reviews on trip advisor. With the seating out the back beyond the deli it is definitely the sort of place that will need to work it's reputation. But, I don't suspect it will have any problem in doing so. We took advantage of the morning Sun this weekend which by late morning was peeping over the houses out the back of the deli where the garden is.We tried the breakfast menu. There was a variety from basic e.g. porridge through to the full English fry up. But there were only about 8 options. My partner and I chose the pork sausage ciabatta and the egg on toast with chilli jam. The cost was £5.50 and £5.95. The food was very good. I was hoping it would be because I felt the pricing was a shade beyond your average breakfast prices. That said the sausage was a better quality than what is usually served up in other similar establishments. The service was very polite and staff welcomed us back. The garden was decked out nicely but seating will be limited in the winter. The food was very good but possibly priced slightly too high however we would go back for the quality. This is a quaint place and sums up the Leigh on Sea vibe very nicely. Thank you Milly's - A great way to start the day.

The only thing that I would like to see is a change of colouring books a bit more often, my son(s) usually find they are almost full thus hard to find a blank picture (or maybe swap the books for printed colouring pages?) Love this place. Today I had the mangetout salad with celeriac and the ginger chicken. Delish. My only criticism is that I would personally rather the chicken was breast meat, but that's personal preference. The garden is gorgeous and spacious and they are baby friendly in there and are very accommodating. It's so good I am going there again tomorrow. People moan it is expensive but if you feel like that then go and get a salad out of Tesco on The Broadway. Everything is made from scratch and the ingredients are first class, so of course it is more pricey, but it's worth it to know you're food is fresh.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a hearty tasty breakfast!

I visited this place last week and had a coffee - a mocha which I found way too chocolatey, too hot and quite expensive (in my opinion). I have definitely has better coffees. The chocolate was indeed really nice but too over powering for me. I agree with the previous review here in which this deli is very lovely but very over priced in some areas. I saw some sugar cubes at nearly £7 for a kilo. I buy the same ones in waitrose for £2.98 a kilo. I understand that people need to make a living but when the difference is so high it's hard not to buy elsewhere and reading another review about offering value for money and mentioning the quality of things for the price it made me think. The sugar cubes and ketchup brand i saw were exactly the same as the supermarket but for a much higher price.

Having read all the reviews about Millys we made a special trip down to Leigh for lunch. While it is nice and quirky inside I think it may be pricing itself out of the market. My other half had a Salmon and cucumber sandwich which came with a mouthful of salad and a couple of crisps priced at £7.50 and it wasn't even that tasty. My chorizo baguette was very nice but again £7.50. With two coffees the bill was over £20. Had better for less money. Will try one of the many other eateries in Leigh next time.

Can't believe it took me so long to go. Came with my son for the first time and had the scrambled eggs, ham and chilli jam. Great service also.

Came in today for lunch and sat outside due to the good weather. The area outside was pleasant and quirky. We brought along our dog who was welcomed and Milly's were happy to provide a dog bowl with water. I had the mixed salad and main option, which was delicious. All the options looked fantastic and the food was obviously of a good quality and very fresh. They were also happy to answer questions about food on the menu which was good.Definitely would highly recommend and I will come back again with other family members and friends.

Recently moved to Leigh on Sea and to be honest we have been feeling pretty blue as far as eating out is concerned. Lots of places to eat for sure but most have fallen short of what we have been used to in London. Milly you have restored the smiles to our faces. Fresh, delicious food and fantastic coffee. Service with a smile too and priced sensibly. Lunch was brilliant and we will be regulars for sure! Thank you! Millys has a five hygiene rating too!

We have lived in Leigh for nearly four years now and although we have purchased a few items from the deli we had not eaten there before. Today we thought we would try it for lunch and I'm really pleased we did. The food was very tasty and all freshly prepared, my pitta with chicken, ginger and chilli was very good as was the accompanying courgette and cheddar soup. My partners baguette was filled to brimming! Will definitely be back again.

I visit this deli frequently , mostly for breakfast and/or coffee. (They offer 'takeaway' too). I have also had lunch here many times over the years. The food is consistently good, the staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxing. There is also an outdoor eating area which is fantastic in the summer, you feel you are nicely tucked away. It's a little sun trap.I feel that this place "has something" that no other place in Leigh has... It's a little hideaway for me.

We recently moved into the area from Clerkenwell, where we had been spoilt with a vast choice of excellent delis & restaurants. On discovering Milly's, we don't miss our previous choices at all. The combination of deli & eaterie is perfect. The well stocked shelves offer a vast & varied selection of offerings from all over the World. The freshly prepared salads are wonderful especially the sweet & sour celeriac & swede salad also the honey & chilli chicken is a must as well as the home made coleslaw being the best I've hadExcellent all round

Bijou cafe & deli selling authentic foodstuffs. Wonderful coffee, cakes & lunches. The only downside, if you like is that you always end up buying products that you didn't know you needed. They're so attractively packaged

This is easily the best coffee in Leigh on sea! It’s a shame that only bad reviewers add comments. The staff are all lovely. It’s brilliant to have independent shops in Leigh and we should make the most of it. I find the owner perfectly fun and friendly along with the rest of the staff. They know their coffee and have a good range of fresh homemade salads. ☕️ ❤️

Visited Amarios yesterday for my sons 15th birthday. I let the lady know beforehand about his birthday and she set up a balloon display for him and also he received a cupcake with his name on the plate which he loved. Its a beautiful little place, the owner was so kind and welcoming, the afternoon tea was delicious and the fruit platter such a lovely extra. I will be brining my parents back for the tea as they would love it here. The owner also mentioned they do events and brunches etc and I can imagine it's a great place to spend some time with your girls. Would definitely recommend and thank you again for a great service 👍

We went to listen to a band there and on this particular evening it wasn't very busy probably because of the weather, but the band were very good and I could see an improvement from the last time that I'd been to the pub which was some time ago. Felt a lot cleaner and more friendly.

I was booked on a bakery course to make Macarons on 17th March 2024. The class was cancelled a couple of days before by the owner. I have repeatedly phoned and emailed requesting a refund but have not had a money back and no apology. Would never use again.
