Millington's in Torfaen

Really good food and coffee and great value. Our go to place in Torfaen for an all day breakfast. Have been there 6 times in last 2 months and the quality of food and service is consistently very high.

Rude staff member (woman with shoulder length dark hair). Poached eggs overcooked. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend.

this little cafe doesn't look much from outside but wow what a lovely little cafe. The lady who took our order was so nice and answered ant questions we had about the menu. The food was good and plentiful and very reasonably priced. Lots of choice on the menu to suit all tastes.

We visit Millington's on a regular basis. Always made to feel welcome by all the Staff. Excellent coffee, sandwiches, panini, cakes and breakfast rolls.

I popped in for a breakfast roll and a coffee. The breakfast roll was good, decent quality produce and well cooked and sufficient to satisfy my hunger. I will return for the coffee as this was exceptional. I had a simple Americano but could instantly tell the quality of the coffee bans, I enquired about this with the friendly waitress and was correct in my guess that they use Clifton Coffee Company beans; they are the best on the business so produce coffee with a rich flavour and a lasting crema; simply delicious.

Visited for the first time today. Cashed in on the deal - Coffee or tea and any cake for £4.50. It was delicious. I had a carrot cake and a pot of tea with soya milk. My boyfriend had a chocolate cake warmed with cream at no extra price and a latte. My boyfriend was very impressed with the coffee. I was happy that an alternative milk was served. The slices of cake were big. Would recommend to anyone who loves a cake and a hot drink at a great price.

Visited today and had the best coffee I’ve tasted in a long time! Staff very polite and friendly. All COVID safety measures in place. Food delicious; we had poached egg on toast Would recommend 100%

Disappointed to have to write this review because in the past myself and my partner have thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Millington's coffee shop. However on this occasion we were served by a member of staff, who was very rude to us from the start. She was particularly rude when we asked questions and as customers, we were taken aback by the way we were treated. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back for a while.

Staff we’re extremely rude and extremely unwelcoming.Standard of breakfast sandwich poor ,cheap bread and cheap brown sauce . Won’t be visiting again felt very uncomfortable .

The wife brought me here ,didn’t realise it was there being upstairs,the coffees were hot and not bitter,breakfast was absolutely lovely,first time ive enjoyed scrambled eggs ,unlike most who microwave them,staff very polite and friendly,will start coming here more often

On a midweek day this café was still serving a good amount of customers, it had a great atmosphere. The owners have decorated it to a degree where it has a personal touch - it’s cosy. I ordered a tomato, onion and red pesto panini, it came with some nice coleslaw and okay salad. The cucumber in the salad was slimy. But all in all it was £4.95 so I can’t complain. Also, this place serves the best coffee I have tasted in years.

Visited today with 5 others for drinks. There were too many of us to get around one table so we asked a waitress if 2 tables could be put together for us all to be seated to chat. She checked with another staff member who made it seem as if we were a nuisance and was very dismissive of us. We were about to leave when another customer who had been sat at 2 settees got up to leave and offered us her seats which was enough for 6 of us. Personally I would have preferred to leave as I felt uncomfortable with giving my custom to a business which did nothing to accommodate us. The others chose to stay but I would not visit here again. Need to sort out your customer service Millingtons ☹️

What a gem of a place! Came across it by chance and so glad we did. Food was amazing - so fresh and tasty and plentiful. Staff were very polite and attentive. We will definitely visit again.

Excellent choice of light meals, jacket potatoes and sandwiches. The staff under Ryan are lovely and the service is fantastic, quick and friendly.

Called in for a cup of tea and breakfast. The food was enjoyable and the service good. If you want a quiet place to eat and nothing fancey then you can;t go wrong. It has a simole basic menu.

Was meant to treat the wife to a McDonalds breakfast.Ended up going here for breakfast.Was pleasantly surprised, friendly staff and environment. Very Clean food tasted fresh and good quality. Coffee (flat white) was lovely, this is a perfect example of how a cafe SHOULD be and others in Cwmbran and surrounding areas should look upon this as a good example.Considering Cwmbran is a large shopping town now, it lacks in decent food places, it's nice to not have to use a large chain finally!!!Good effort guys, keep it up!!!

Located above Douglas Willis on the other side.A nice quiet little location and during the Christmas hustle and bustle away from the boring standard coffee shop.Lovely little layout with really friendly staff.Food and drink were top notch and it didn't feel like you were crammed in like sardines.Would thoroughly recommend.

I've been too Millingtons twice in a week as it's a lovely relaxed place to catch up with family and friends. You're able to talk to each other without the usual noise of chain coffee shops. They are appropriate for all age groups.Please be careful on entering the shop as there is a small step that I have seen people trip over and to go to the toilet there is another small step. Although there are notices to say to be careful.

Excellent friendly service, tasty food, clean surroundings - enjoyed it there,and would recommend it.

I've been coming here for ages, its the best coffee shop in Cwmbran - the coffee is fantastic quality and I love the range of things they serve for lunch - sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads, paninis - even breakfast things like eggs on toast or a bacon butty! And thats not to mention the incredible home-made cakes, if you fancy a proper treat! They are to die for - and huge! I love the option of a table seat or comfy sofa with magazines, also seating outside if it gets a bit full. The staff are wonderful too, always friendly and happy to see you. I always come here rather than the more expensive coffee chains - the coffee is nicer, the food is made fresh to order and its just a nicer atmosphere to sit & chill. The free wifi is great too, and strong enough signal to reach the outside seats too! :)

Tried this place only once on recommendation and left without finishing my meal. Overpriced and extremely average food, you seem to pay for the decor which is also average. I personally would not recommend.

I have visited this cafe a few times and every time I am impressed with the food. Mostly I am extremely impressed with the service. The staff are very welcoming and provide a friendly atmosphere.

I have only ordered a cuppa and cake from here. The cakes have always been nice. The staff are friendly, and it has a relaxing atmosphere.

We eat here regularly but was most disappointed with our chicken and bacon baguette, the soft sub roll was dry with the absulute minimum of filling. Silly really as this cafe is upstairs and out of the way and needs recommendation. Lets hope they sort it

We went after a Parkrun on Saturday morning to this lovely independent cafe . It is reasonable priced and the cake is delicious, with both my kids struggling to finish their cake - don't worry they didn't let it defeat them.

Situated upstairs on the parade, comfortable seating and an veranda area, serves tea coffee and light snacks and has a good selection of cakes. The only downside was the girl sweeping the floor as we were drinking our tea making us feel we should not be there although it was only 4pm.
