The bartender needs a personality transplant, not friendly at all! £21 for two black coffees and two apple pies with a meagre scoop of ice-cream didn't impress at all. 1st and last time visit.

Great place to visit for coffee and sea view. Good selection of food.

So friendly , prompt service and great breakfast with delicious coffee. Dog friendly too.

Millie's, since being taken over a couple of years ago, is the perfect place to go if you're looking for good, affordable food, sea views, a warm welcome, and great service! We are regulars here and would highly recommend it, whether for a quick drink or a nice meal.

Delicious Sunday lunch. Great quality meat and vegetables. Very generous portions. Friendly and attentive service. Very Very reasonably priced. We eat here often and have never had a bad experience.

Fantastic service and friendly helpful staff

We’ve come here a few times - and under new ownership this place feels cosy. And the food itself - as vegetarians we had a few things, but the butternut squash ravioli was actually really different: it really impressed me. Plus - the oat milk hot chocolate was expertly prepared. There was some unknown ingredient that really made it taste silky and lovely!

I didn't know about this little gem fantastic sea views right on the beach reasonable prices will certainly vist again I can highly recommend💯

Good morning to all the staff at Millies. This is such a wonderful place to come and relax and have a meal or just a drink . The food is excellent and the customer service is 100%. You always get greated by a member of staff which always makes you feel very welcome indeed. The manager there always goes that extra mile to make sure that you are catered for. Had a friend visit from west london. She loves the sea. Millies provides a good eaterie, atmosphere and the ability to see and feel the water as we eat. She loved it. 😍

My mum & sister organised a Sunday meal here for 20 of us, for the day after my wedding. On arrival the tables were dressed with table cloths. There was a bottle of champagne curtesy of Millies to toast our marriage. Which was such a kind gesture of them. Elton & the staff were very attentive, helpful & friendly & made my new husband & I feel very special. We all had roast dinner which was absolutely delicious! The cauliflower cheese & braised peas were especially nice & added to how nice the meal was. All of us cleaned our plates. Mum organised Ruby to sing for us, she sang two 45 minute sets, which also helped make the afternoon. We danced & really enjoyed ourselves. The backdrop of the beach is very special which makes it such a nice place to spend time. So if you have a special occasion to celebrate. This is a wonderful place to visit to eat and drink, right by the sea and the tuna steak was perfection. It might be wrong not to give 5 stars across the board as it was a busy Saturday. Loved it all really

Been using Millies since it opened and always been good. Visited yesterday, had the worst chicken caesar salad ever. Complained to the Staff who were not at all interested. Sorry won't be eating there again due to the lack of interest

Great place for breakfast after a walk on the beach. Has pretty nice view of the beach . The breakfast was nice . It’s pet friendly.

Over priced for what's on offer, forgot about one meal from a group of six. Poor show! Give us a traditional cafe any day over this

Went yesterday for lunch and was so impressed with the food. Good quality great ingredients for affordable prices. I will definitely be going back to sample more of the menu. Staff were friendly and dogs were allowed.

It's my third time as love the steak 🥩 dish (with peppercorn sauce) they do. Plus, you can't beat the view and atmosphere down the beach 🏖

Lovely meal this evening. My skate wing and hubbys seabass was perfectly cooked. Oldest grandchild enjoyed their burger and youngest ate all her Nuggets.

Good food, right on the beach but the service is very poor. You usually end up sitting at a table for 10-15 mins, ignored by staff, only to go inside to order and to be told someone will come over, and they don’t. Have ended up just walking away several times or just sitting there and getting someone to get something from somewhere else for me…their loss!

A great restaurant right on the seafront. Was quite busy when we visited at lunchtime so no room inside but managed to get a table outside. Prompt service, with friendly attentive staff. Ruby was amazing & gave great customer service. Will be back.

We went on Saturday afternoon and just wanted two teas and two apple pies with cream . It took 20 mins for the teas to arrive. I asked the waiter what was happening after 15 mins. I then got my pie after 25 mins and my partner waited…… after further complaints their pie arrived after 30 mins ! I had finished my pie by then . Asked if we wanted anything else we both said together “ certainly not !” . The waiter returned apologetically and refunded us the cost of the teas. That was decent as he realised it was bad. What has happened to Millie’s ? It used to be great . I think there needs to be a supervisor making sure orders are filled ! We just saw the girl doing the teas chatting endlessly . We told our friends today and they told us they had a similar experience the other day . They ordered breakfasts and one was cold when it arrived after a long wait .

Really lovely time spent here today. I was given a specially prepared gluten free halloumi salad (cheese grilled, not in the oil used for batter, etc). It was really delicious, very attractively served and tasty, and generous proportions. The staff were extra busy but kept their friendly, helpful approach, and the atmosphere was relaxed and happy. There was some tasteful jazz playing in the background. I enjoyed a drink afer, looking out to sea, and wasn't made to feel rushed to leave. Great in every way.

Very slow for food to arrive and a couple who arrived after us got their food before we did . The outside area could do with a good wash down , it didn’t look clean or well kept.

Worth the 15mile drive. Never had a bad meal or service. Really pleasant to enjoy the views whilst having lunch. The salads are amazing.

What a wonderful night, it was my friend's birthday on 1.4 but because we are at an age where you have hospital appointments or friends passing we finally got out tonight and thanks to the staff and the amazing singing of Ruby and Charlie Wendy and I had a fantastic night. Thank you do much xx

The nicest staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting at any restaurant/cafe. My toddler was due a nap and having a meltdown when a lovely waitress with dark hair came and tried to calm him down with some chips with sauce, biscuit even ice cream. This still wasn’t working and I’m now getting worked up too, one of your waiters came and checked on my son (and on me, sorry for the tears). In the end I took the food home in takeaway boxes and wasn’t charged, this is more than 5 star service and I’ll never forget how understanding and helpful they all were. Had a bit more of a cry on the way home because of how lovely they treated me, will definitely return - after my sons been for a nap. Oh and sorry if I stressed the kitchen out waiting for my order. It wasn’t a long wait at all and the chicken burger was the nicest one I have ever tasted which just makes the whole experience even better.

Out on a cycle ride and decided we would stop for lunch here at Millies. Great choice!. We had two small cod and chips, which was of good portions size. Everything was cooked well and washed down with a cold beer. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. We did see and hear a customer who was not happy with the size of their fish and complained straight away. The staff were very quick to react to the customers' disappointment and quickly resolved the issue. Strongly recommend this restaurant and will visit again when in the area. Well done.

The first time we visited it was a busy lunch time and the food took nearly an hour to arrive. Many tables were reserved for later and they would not let us sit inside although the reservation times were nearly 2 hrs beyond. The food in fairness was good. The next time we arrived at 8.45 am for breakfast and there were more staff than customers but again the food took over 45 mins and arrived stone cold. The problem seems to be staff training and awareness

Well, the atmosphere seemed good, there were quite a number of drinkers and diners. Sadly I sat and sat and sat and no one came to my table to take my order so I just left in the end. I can only say that the food I saw come out while I was waiting looked good and well presented. Maybe they were short staffed that day, I'm not sure but it was not a great experience

Dog friendly down to earth restaurant. Basic furniture. But good food and staff . Good portions worth a visit

Outstanding takeout. We just arrived for the weekend, jumped on Deliveroo and after a bit of research thought we'd order from this delightful place. Haddock, homemade tarter sauce, scampi, prawns, monkfish, mushy peas - all excellent

Excellent lunch with friends, good food and service.

Wated an hour for food and then the children's meals were later still. Uncooked cauliflower and watery cheese sauce, roast potatoes fine. Heard a lot about this place and anticipated much more, very disappointing.

Had a great breakfast lively place to eat & look out at the sea. Also very did friendly.

Popped in for a drink and a snack with family. Decent beer, big portions, lovely views out to sea. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Amazing location, came up from London for a day trip out and I’ve got to say this place was amazing. The staff and food was outstanding. We ordered a number of there small plates followed by a few fish mains, kids meal where a very good portion. Thank you Daniel for your outstanding service. We will be back in the summer.

Another great time at Millie’s! In addition to great food, the variety and quality of the small plates on their menu is fantastic, it’s great to see them encouraging local talented singers. Well done Ruby, you were brilliant!! And well done to the two young dancers!

Unfortunately, service here was incredibly poor. Sat at a dirty table that we cleaned ourselves, staff expected US to move out the way whilst they walked past and didn’t say Thankyou and after waiting 15 mins since ordering and paying, I had to ask two members of staff to bring over our order which was one slice of cake and 2 drinks. In the summer on our second visit, I waited 45 mins for some chicken nuggets and chips for a takeaway by their takeaway window. Portion was insulting for the cost of it. Wouldn’t return

We went there for my birthday lunch, but the whitebait was not whitebait as it was too big a fish for whitebait 😭, we weren't even given a drinks menu, so we had to guess what drinks they had on offer?? Also the choices for the food were Quite pricey £, and we couldn't swap salad for new potatoes, but we could buy an extra portion, for £4.00, so overall I didn't have a fantastic meal, and I definitely WON'T be recommending 'Millies Beach Bar & Restaurant' 😭😭😭

We came in here for a quick drink, no plan to stay or eat. But we found such a welcome atmosphere, attentive staff, good wine and beer and so we asked for the menu’s. Order grilled fish and a burger and it was lovely. Good quality food, served pipping hot. A call out to both Matt’s and Daniel for brilliant customer service. Would definately recommend and will be retuning.

Really good prawn and Marie Rose sauce jacket potato. Very generous and came with coleslaw tortilla chips and salad. Staff friendly and efficient.

Heartfelt Appreciation for Millie's Kindness and Community Spirit I am a local resident at St Mildred's Bay and a regular at Millie's, a place that not only serves great food but also harbors a wonderful community spirit. Recently, my mother underwent surgery, and during this challenging time, Millie's went above and beyond to show their care and support in the most heartwarming way. Elton, the manager, upon hearing about my mother's difficulty in eating post-operation, arranged for a special gesture that left us deeply touched. Daniel, a member of the Millie's team, came to our door with a thoughtful gift - two different types of homemade smooth soups, carefully prepared to ensure my mother could enjoy nutritious and easy-to-eat meals. His well wishes on behalf of the entire Millie's team were a beam of light during a tough period for us. But the kindness didn't stop there. The following day, Max, the chef, and Lucy, a waitress, personally visited with a lovely flower plant. This gesture of bringing a bit of beauty and cheer into our home was incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated. I cannot express enough gratitude to everyone at Millie's for their genuine concern, kindness, and community spirit. This experience has shown us that Millie's is more than just a place to eat; it's a pillar of support and compassion within our community. A huge thank you to Elton, Daniel, Max, Lucy, and the entire team at Millie's. Your actions have truly made a difference and exemplify the best of what a community can be.

Love Millies! It's my go-to beach café/ restaurant/bar. Been going for a few years now and although I wasn't impressed at the beginning, due to general rudeness of a previous manager, the current one is polite and friendly and has made some great improvements with regards to the food. The menu has been extended too and there are some great choices. I had salmon when I last went and it was cooked perfectly! The small plates are fab too and I've had fish & chips ( perfect crispy batter) plus jacket potatoes and paninis..all of which have been really nice. The staff are lovely too. Was very impressed with Millie and Daniel who were serving when I last went in 😊

Goto place for quality food and service. Had grilled Haddock today, absolutely lovely. P.S. go for the 4 small dish choice if your a group...Halloumi fries...out of this world!!! Views of the sea with tea!!!.....What more could you want.

We went without a booking on Christmas Eve - probably bets to book ahead in future if you can!! I imagine it's lovely to sit out the front in the summer months too. The food was good - soup was lukewarm but tasted great. Staff were busy but friendly.

We had a lovely time here this morning / afternoon. The vegan scampi was delicious! It's so nice to go somewhere thats not only dog friendly, but also has a brilliant vegetarian/vegan menu. Hot chocolate was also to die for. Thanks so much, we'll definitely be back!

Omg this place is fantastic, we decided to take a walk to the see front and found out Millie’s was opened, they had christmas booking and well don to them for opening. There was a table leaving just as we entered and we asked IF we can just have a few drinks, after the kids wanted food they cooked gir the kids christmas dinner in the house. Few food items not available. 3 of us had our food but the 4th had to wait 10 minutes. Never asked if we wanted sauces, etc. Ni problems that they allow dogs but when it's barking away so loudly that you can't have conversation then ask them to leave

Very run down restaurant old chairs tables not very stable terrible smell of old oil cooking which lingered on our clothes when we left. Food ok not value for money Very dissapointed Staff sat at a table talking and eating not a good look Will not return

Considering it was very busy and I arrived with a very large coach built silver cross pram I was greeted and made to feel very welcome and space made available for me and my family thank you for making it a very relaxing experience

Had a lovely breakfast here. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. I ordered the avacado and poached eggs which was nice but the star was the mushrooms I'd ordered on the side. Great coffee and wonderful views (even on a rainy day). Will be back.

What a gem of a place! Wonderful staff, thank you Millie! Sunday lunch I never find is decent out, however your Chef is amazing! Delicious, meat cooked to perfection & so many side dishes. Need recipe for the creamed celeriac! We were a table of nine, service was impeccable, friendly & most importantly not rushed. Would recommend to all & definitely visit again. Thank you!

Four calamari (size of onion rings) = £7.50! Whitebait a handful = £7.50 All very much deep fried away, and cooked from frozen. Rather disappointing. Staff really nice and view great.

This was a private party. 52 people for dinner. Staff & event management v good. Chef & sous chefs did amazingly well.

What a fabulous little place. The seafood and fish was superb - fresh and prepared and cooked perfectly. Extremely good value for money. Staff were helpful, friendly but not in your face. Loved that it was also doggy friendly as our pooch was very happy also! Will definitely return!

This place must be doing really well. Almost empty on a Monday lunchtime and four members of staff managed to completely ignore my husband and I as we looked for a menu or, indeed, any form of service.

Love Millie's. Great staff and lovely atmosphere. We enjoy a coffee at Millie's and they are dog friendly which is lovely... we don't even have a dog. One of our favourites.
