I decided I would like to do something special for Valentine's Day this year despite having been well accustomed to the over-commercialisation of this day to celebrate romance and show appreciation to loved ones. As I am 51 and have been in a relationship for 32 years, my partner has been very ill at the end of last year and has just recovered from pneumonia. I booked the table for 4. I was very pleased with the setting, ambience, food, and special price point. I thought it may have benefitted from a little background music to lighten the atmosphere. I could hear the chatter of the other diners, but at times it was a little sullen. Music would lift that feeling. During the meal, the man in the couple we were dining with proposed to his partner, and she said yes!! When I asked if we could announce this, the waitress said that they do not make announcements. Okay, but I thought it was an authentically romantic moment, which could have been made extra special by including our company in the happy news and excellent for business, I'm sure, too. But anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed a lovely evening. Thank you, & I guess I need to go and buy a hat now.

Excellent Steak! Great venue! Consistent high quality food and drink at all venues means you're always sure to get the perfect order first time! Can't recommend M&C enough!

Beautiful venue, ok service, good menu alteration availability. We arrived on time for our booking, but the Maitre d' said our table was not ready and should wait 10 mins. It got to 25mins and they had not called us. So we asked. And was told because the kitchen was running behind, they were holding us back to sit so we don't experience slow service at our table. Which is ridiculous. We would much rather have the table, with drinks and look at the menu, than sit waiting on the side.

Great service, food is almost great, atmosphere is good. It was s bit cold downstairs, wish the heating was on. Waiter Ioana is amazing 🥰

ANDREEA went out and beyond to serve us and welcome us today at Muswell Hill. She recommended my husband for the ribeye to be medium rare as my husband wanted medium. However, we didn’t get disappointed with our food. This is our second time at Muswell Hill.

As ever a fantastic an experience at Miller & Carter Muswell Hill. The food was incredible, our waiter Antonio was exceptional and the ambience was just lovely. We requested a booth so our daughter could spread out all her colouring pens and pencils and they absolutely delivered. Can’t wait to go back! Ps this cookie pie dessert will haunt my dreams forever 🤤

Food was cold. Ribs were dry, overcooked and tasteless. A small amount of cold barbecue sauce on the ribs did nothing to

Lovely lunch experience today; the Butcher’s Block sharing platter was delicious and just the right amount of food. Great service from Antonio who made us feel welcome and looked after. You also can’t beat the venue, such a beautiful old church building right in Muswell Hill. Will definitely be visiting again!

The Stake is delicious, love the different choices available with the full set meal per person. I’m Unfortunately not a fan of the quarter slice lettuce salad. Would definitely recommend the overall experience of flavors to be had.

This is a good spot in Muswell Hill - great for when you don’t want to go into central for dinner. Antonio was very friendly and took care of us very well on our visit today.

Food was lovely but I mentioned in the reservation it was my wife’s birthday and then again to the host when my family arrived but they did nothing for her! I was not expecting anything special but perhaps just saying happy birthday to her would have been nice or the minimum someone could do! We spent £220 Inc tip for four of us so it’s not an insignificant amount or an extravagant one but we like eating locally and supporting restaurants in our area. So all in all we enjoyed our visit but just a little bitter after taste about the birthday.

First time I've been here. Most definitely will comeback again. Thanks to Antonio for being such a great host.

Went here for a birthday lunch, atmosphere was fantastic! Beautiful interior design and clean toilets. Food was delicious and reasonably priced for the portions. The staff were very attentive, especially Antonio, who made our experience extra special with their in-house birthday treat (dessert). Would definitely come back!

I've been coming to Miller & Carter for years, always booking for special occasions, Christmas, and New Year's Eve. Never lets me down! A one-of-a-kind steak experience—delicious and worth every penny!

Service was lovely and attentive. However, placed in a table by very bright kitchen lights, 2 of the 3 steaks were totally undercooked according to instructions e.g one ‘medium’ was ‘rare’, the presentation was also very ‘Harvester’ frankly. Chips were also soggy and like warm. Garnish - seriously, what was that?? As it was a double birthday and my guests I don’t want to ruin the mood and send the food back. Not value for money night at all and hugely disappointing.

Our server Diogo was so welcoming and kind, he felt like an old friends welcoming us home! Top quality service, delicious ribeye and a stunning venue (a beautiful converted church complete with stained glass), we felt that we had exceptional value for money especially as we added lobster tail and a beautiful Malbec to our order. I'll be returning with my parents in a few weeks and hope we will have the same experience!

Miller and carter Muswell Hill superb from start to finish From the minute I booked online, the constant communication with the restaurant. The food on the night, the atmosphere was exemplary. The waiter remembered everyone's individual bill so everyone happily paid for what they had ordered. no confusion. Highly recommended, good prices and intimate venue for birthdays and celebratory dinners

Elena was the best host which together with already known best meat in North London made a special occasion even more special. We always come for important celebrations and we will keep coming back. Keep the hard work!
