Millar's Restaurant in Belfast

Una cálida bienvenida y comida fabulosa hecha para una noche memorable. Mi esposa y yo no podríamos haber deseado una mejor manera de celebrar su cumpleaños en lo que fue nuestra primera visita a Millar’s Brasserie desde su reciente traslado a University Road en Belfast. Este impresionante edificio no ha perdido nada de su belleza, carácter cálido y encanto de cuando solíamos frecuentarlo en los gloriosos días de Beatrice Kennedy. Al día en 2025, nuestros menús más destacados incluyeron un sabroso toque tapenade en el entrante de langostino y salmón ahumado. Era una combinación perfecta y un equilibrio de sabores frescos. Un gran pulgar hacia arriba también para nuestras dos deliciosas redes. Mi generoso filete de costilla fue suculento y servido con una salsa de brandy y pimienta junto con guarniciones de trufa y papas fritas parmesanas y una selección de verduras asadas con miel. La elección de Christine de la pechuga de pato fue igualmente sublime. Tierno y lleno de sabor se sirvió con ciruelas de soja de caramelo, puré de cebolleta, pastel de fideos y galleta de algas... ¡qué plato tan ganador! Dos deliciosos postres (toffee pud pegajoso y crème brûlée) completaron lo que fue una comida memorable, todo ello bañado con un fino sauvignon blanc de Nueva Zelanda. Y un considerado vaso sorpresa de burbujas también se proporcionó como un bono de cumpleaños para Christine. Nuestro agradecimiento al personal en la noche por tan excepcional servicio y un alto nivel de comida... Christian, Conor, Matthew y Scarlet junto con Andy y Lucas que hicieron su magia en la cocina. ¡Muy buenos chicos!

Hermosa cervecería local cálida y acogedora. La comida y el servicio eran geniales. ¡Iremos de nuevo! El gerente del propietario vino a darnos la bienvenida, y hablar con nosotros sobre las fabulosas opciones de menú.

La primera vez que probé Millar y no me decepcionó. La decoración es muy agradable y el ambiente es relajado. Habíamos reservado para 5. 30 y pedido desde el Menú del Pre Teatro, que es brillante valor. Las elecciones fueron buenas y decidimos tener una comida principal y un postre. Mi compañero tomó el pavo Roulade y dijo que estaba delicioso, fui por el pollo milanés y estaba muy sabroso, las porciones eran muy generosas. De postre tomé el pudín de Navidad y mi pareja tomó el Sticky Toffee Pudding, ambos eran encantadores y , después de nuestra gran red, las porciones eran las justas. El personal era amable y eficiente y el servicio fue rápido. Sin duda volveré y lo recomendaría a todos.

Mis novias y yo fuimos aquí para un almuerzo de Navidad y cócteles. Nunca he estado antes, pero he oído cosas buenas. Tuve parfait de hígado de pollo para el entrante y carne de res para la red. Decir que la comida era buena es una exageración masiva, la comida era deliciosa, todo estaba cocinado a la perfección y el personal era muy atento y amable. Soy muy amante de la comida y me encanta cenar fuera. ¡Creo que acabo de descubrir mi nuevo restaurante favorito! Bien hecho Millars 10 / 10

Cuando se trataba de seleccionar un lugar para un almuerzo especial de aniversario, entonces no había concurso. Tenía que ser Millars. Hemos comido aquí antes, así que sabíamos que la calidad de la comida era buena y queríamos apoyar a las empresas locales también. Éramos una gran fiesta 27 en total. Sin embargo todo salió como un reloj. La correspondencia antes del almuerzo era buena y cualquier pregunta fue respondida rápidamente. Otra muy buena comida y experiencia en Millar’s Finaghy/Upper Lisburn Road. Nueve de nosotros asistimos a una cena de celebración. La elección fue excelente, desde el menú Set, menú de verano y el menú Specials. El pescado de los especiales fue recomendado por nuestra maravillosa servidora, Julia. Estaba delicioso, con una rica salsa de pescado, diminutas almejas y ralladura verde Inés. El brócoli en miel de soja / sésamo era moreno. Fizz, vino y cerveza opciones geniales. Could not fault this place . Service was wonderful and the food was exquisite.one minor issue with a starter that was dealt with quickly and professionally . First time eating here, decor quirky and staff were friendly and helpful. The oysters were really fresh and the sharing steak was huge and cooked to perfection. I can recommend the baked Alaska which was delicious.

Very nice relaxing ambient, it looks like a little chalet. Favoulus food in general, above all great meat. We certainly recommend it! We were on holidays in Belfast and discover it on internet.

We booked for my mother's birthday lunch on a Sunday in December, a week before Christmas. I was very surprised to find that the restaurant was only half full but they don't answer their phone until 12.00 noon when a member of staff comes in! I'd been trying since the Saturday to phone to arrange when I could deliver a couple of large balloons for the table but when they didn't answer I brought them at midday on the day of the booking. At first the girl working told me they weren't open yet and she seemed to not be prepared to accept the balloons, seemed to be a hassle for her. Told me they didn't have anyone to answer the phone until staff came in at midday. How many bookings are they missing out on by not answering their phone? I'm sure there would have been no empty tables if potential customers could ring in the morning on the off chance of getting a table. Going by this first encounter I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The manageress was great, so attentive, polite and really across her job. The waitress was great also and very friendly. I was the only one having a starter, Arancini, which was delicious. At the table we had Turkey & Ham, Sirloin Steak and Beef Brisket, all were really good, delicious actually. It was a great dining experience, enjoyed by everyone at our table. Will be back............................but get someone to answer your phone.

Really disappointed after some very good visits. The starters weren’t great - the Brie tasted funny and the squid was tasteless. The mains were okay and the desserts were reasonable. We’ve been here quite a few times and the food has always been amazing. We won’t let it put us off giving them one more try but they need to up their game again. The staff were all pleasant as always.
