Bit weird at first, bar maid seemed to be taking the mick out of us with the locals. Great singer came on and enjoyed it.

We stayed at the Dukes Hotel. Before leaving we had a cheeky drink... the cocktail was perfect! The little snug outside was gorgeous and well heated

Lovely Restaurant and Bar. Food was amazing plenty of deals on a Thursday accompanied with live music. Great cocktails and excellent service. Couldn’t recommend more!!

I have been going here for some time now and I love it, the atmosphere staff and food is fantastic really recommend having a drink to experience the atmosphere.

As I’ve heard there has been a relaunch of the kitchen food and staff I had to come down and try for myself, I was completely surprised with the explosion of deliciousness I have just endured! What a curry! Best I’ve ever tasted! Also the starter of the manhantten chicken strips were delightful! Most defo 10/10 will definitely be back !! Yes chef !!!

Decent bar/restaurant which is part of Dukes Hotel in the busy University area. Suit well for a drink or a meal if in the area around Queens. A little expensive, but it is a lovely part of town. Staff are good.

I stayed at the hotel so thought I would try out the restaurant. I had the 8oz Sirloin Steak which came with Chips, two huge battered onion rings, grilled Mushroom & Tomato and Peppercorn sauce which was served in a pot on the side. The Steak was cooked to perfection and had virtually no fat. The Peppercorn sauce was also absolutely delicious. It was a decent sized portion from which I didn’t still feel hungry or completely stuffed from. Beer selection was pretty standard. I had a pint of the Heverlee which is everywhere in Northern Ireland but in England I’ve only seen it in Tesco! Service was quick and staff friendly. They also had the football on BT Sport which was a welcome bonus. Very nice experience would definitely recommend.

Great staff & food. Watched football in here twice ad well and always been good. Food is also well above average for a bar.

My fiancé and I went with our 1 year old on Saturday evening to have something to eat on the way home. There was no one at the door to greet people, look after track and trace, ensure masks were worn etc so we entered and found seats directly in front of the bar that were unoccupied. We sat there for 15 minutes as at least 5 members of staff, including someone who looked like a manager, looked at us, walked past us and completely ignored us - not so much as acknowledging we were there. Even as we got up to leave, no one so much as commented. I would like to add that we have been here in the past and the food has been very nice and we have never had an issue with service, however this was unbelievably bad.

Started off a nice day lunch a couple of drinks.. But then when I say drinks we had to ask 4 times to order another drink both me and my partner going inside to ask could we get a drink order while staff standing talking at bar. When we did finally get ordered placed, again another long wait while every body who ordered after us drinks come first. Sorry to say we ended up walking out as 1 hour to get a drink just isn't acceptable

Really nice food and friendly staff. Cocktail list a bit underwhelming. Same with whiskey stock. However food, staff and atmosphere would definitely warrant return visit. Very pro active with current guidelines

This is a very down market pub/restaurant with a very noisy clientele if you know what I mean. The food is very basic pub grub and on the occasion we visited they got my order wrong and my meal was delayed by about 15 minutes, although to be fair to them they were very apologetic. This place is not for me but if don't mind these types of places then give it a visit.

The waiters she forgot about our food (we eat after 1hour and 45 minutesthe food was so 🧂)she try to charge us twice We wait for a glass of tap water 1hour Horrible experience 😪

Food was great, bar staff fantastic, decor very pretty and classy, outside area very classy and all lovely lighting around the place. Had a very enjoyable night, Food was reasonable priced and clean toilets. Yes I would go back no problem. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

This has become our local, probably the nicest bar for food in Belfast and many people don’t seem to know. Fish and chips is my go to and the steak is my partners. The steak is always cooked to perfection, with tasty sides. Service can be changeable but on a whole has been good. I find when going for a drink there is more a delay however with food there is never a wait. Worth a visit and reasonably priced :)

The restaurant is beautiful, and tastefully decorated. It wasn't overly busy when we arrived for our final meal of our Belfast Staycation, and we were seated very quickly. Order was taken promptly, and food arrived a little time later. Food was really great, probably one of the best meals that we have had in our time in Belfast. Well done and compliments to the chef. I was a little concerned however, when we received the bill - we were charged higher prices than what was on the menu in front of us. Some dishes 1.50 - 2.00 more expensive than what was displayed on the menu. Passed the info to the waiter, and he apologised and said he would correct it however when the waitress who was on that night brought us the correct bill, she tried to make excuses as to why it was incorrect. It was rectified though, so no massive deal. The waiter who served us was very friendly, and couldn't have done more but the waitress who was on tonight was not friendly at all. Prompt, to the point and blunt. Not sure we would return on the basis of the service alone, much friendlier places to eat at in Belfast.

Nice pub, good local beers and ciders

I was impressed by the atmosphere. Very relaxed and quiet enough to talk. The live music was good. I cannot comment on the food. I just had water.

Really good spot. One of those places you need to know about to go to - hidden gem. Very very good. I had the meatball sub from the express menu and it was absolutely delicious. Very succulent meat, lovely sauce, cheese and rocket in it too. Friendly staff, well decorated inside, and a great location make this a solid choice for lunch!

I loved that place! My first visit in Belfast was awesome! The hotel was fantastic and we had dinner and drinks at the restaurant/bar and the service was perfect! Chris at the bar was an amazing bartender, focus on his client and very professional, I really recommend 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Had a few misses for a decent pornstar martini at some places in Belfast the day before, but this venue nailed it! Fries were amazing and good value and staff were lovely. Also one of the few places for gluten free lager and a winning combination is found. Would definately visit again, the evening menu and live music need to be done!

This place got really nice inside after the make over. Had steak there recently and it was just right with beaut chunky chips For sport fans there are plenty of screens to enjoy watching footbal or tennis for example. Also there's an outside bit which I believe will be hit during summer. Can't fault the place as the service was quick and friendly.

When they changed to the Practitioner the food was good but now very disappointing and processed. At Christmas they took off their snack menu and put on an expensive Christmas. Was both disappointing in cost and quality. The fish was all batter and deep fried and the turkey and ham very processed. The place is now disappointing and very expensive.

Lovely bar and furnishings but the night we visited was a Saturday night and the live music was far too loud. We couldnt hear ourselves. Why is live music such a thing in Belfast bars? Ill let u all into a secret: Noone wants it. People go to bars to converse. Nothing wrong with a bit of background music but not to that intrusive level

Great bar, surprisingly really good food for pub grub. Nice breakfasts, decent music and very clean (when there's not football on) my only complaint would be that the live music can be very loud depending on the artist playing. If it was a dancing bar I could understand but this to me is more of a relaxed spot, so I think the music should correspond.

Stopped in for dinner on Tuesday night. We were a little hesitant as we thought it might cater to the trendy college crowd but we are happy to report that it was a casual pub with a relaxed atmosphere and very professional and friendly service. We arrived around 7 on a Tuesday and was seated right away. Ordered the beef burger and the chorizo and red pepper sandwich. Both were excellent. Our family both ordered the fish and chips and both said it was great. Washed it all down with Guinness. Topped it all off with sticky toffee pudding which was excellent. Highly recommend.

Great place, super nice staff and incredibly good food. 4 of us had dinner here, of course we shared, everything was great. The "Sticky Toffee Pudding" incredible!! If you come to Belfast you gotta try the Practitioner!!

Visited here for a mid week meal. Was expecting standard pub grub , but it was way better . Pork belly presented like fine dining restaurant and delicious gravy . Presentation and quality of food was excellent. The service from Baker who was our waiter was brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Will be going back

We stayed at Dukes on Queens Hotel next door and thought why not give this a try. It was well worth it. The service was excellent. Drink selection was really good with a wide variety to choose from. The food on the menu is quite modest, but caters for most tastes and the food itself is of a very good standard. There was also a live singer on which added nicely to the overall experience. Can highly recommend The Practitioner.

Good beer and food. Smaller portions than any other place we have eaten in recently. Very attentive service. We are thinking of eating there again and trying the chicken platter.
