Very good food at realistic prices. Huge flat car park directly opposite the Bomber Command Memorial. Has hotel accommodation sharing car park. 15 minutes drive from Lincoln centre. Friendly and efficient staff all around. Single floor, with main toilets just inside door and wheelchair accessible toilet further in. Wide and varied menu with sensible prices.

Came in for a breakfast here and was very impressed. £10.99 for an all you can eat hot breakfast and that includes continental things and bottomless coffee or tea and juice. They have a deal on currently where you get two courses and a drink for £18.99. When we got there we had bad service from one of the workers called James. We asked about the menu and his attitude changed towards us. When James brought out our food, he almost dropped the plate on one of our party’s knees and did not even apologise. No wonder the restaurant was quiet when you have bad costumer service such as we received. However, the food was not that bad overall.

Lovely venue and always had a beautiful meal when attending. Shame the service let's it down. Every time we have been, it hasn't been overly busy, yet you wait ages to be served. We stood for around 5 minutes on all occasions at the booking area, to be ignored by staff just chatting away at the bar/clearing breakfast. A simple "we won't be 2 minutes" to actually acknowledge your presence, rather than being completely ignored, wouldn't go amiss.

We have been there for lunch on three occasions recently and found it to be excellent value for money and an enjoyable eating out experience. As a solo diner I wasn't made to feel awkward, which can sometimes happen, and I wasn't rushed or relegated to a pokey table, which has definitely happened to me before. Very happy with my experience tonight and would definitely recommend.

OK so the menu in Beefeater is the same everywhere.... 😂 What makes Mill Lodge Beefeater stand out is the staff - they are really hard-working, attentive and prompt. Proper Grafters. These guys don't miss a trick. I was served by James H, he's always on his A game but you can see his other colleagues serving other people working just as hard. Decent staff in places like this don't get the respect they deserve in this country. Give them a smile next time you are eating here!

We found hair inside the ribs and inside the burger (physically stuck in the rib meat and burger bun). We notified staff, and the manager refunded the ribs as we didn't want a new one - however their hospitality attitude leading up to that was appaling. Their first words on being notified of their being hairs was "our chefs do not have dark hair" (our whole table had dark hair) and when I said I didn't want the ribs at all, she said she'll refund us but "not the whole meal" which I replied "of course not" I had never once implied we wanted the whole table refunded but their dialogue and attitude implied we wanted to get a free meal out of them even though we didn't touch the ribs or burger... There was never even an apology, and the manager was still saying "our chefs do not have dark hair" as they left which I replied "I don't know what to tell you" as the hair was stuck inside the food (not on top)! Abysmal reaction to our complaint, we will not be eating here again. In addition, they had supply issues (which we appreciate are out of their control) however the waiter and waitress were lovely - it was just their manager who seems to lack appropriate hospitality skills.

On arrival, we waited around 15 minutes to be seated because there were simply no staff around at the bar or reception, although we had booked a table for the time we arrived. The person who seated us muttered something about a warehouse problem, and gave us a list of 20 items that weren't available on the menu. The lady who served us at the table was wonderful, warm and helpful. However, the menu shortages meant that one of our party couldn't get any of the dishes she wanted, and our food score is a reflection of that.

An absolute disgrace by Beefeater Mill Lodge. Boxing Day lunch was ruined by poor service, poor food with no atmosphere at all. Our family of 9 where there for over 3 hours to the point that 3 of the Turkey dinners were ruined by burnt gravy. Other meals in the party where barely warm let alone hot. At no point were we asked if everything was OK or even asked if anyone wanted a drink. I requested to speak to the duty manager and 3 times I was declined as the duty manager was "to busy to see us". A deduction was made by the team leader who was very apologetic on the final bill but we would have all preferred the meal that we booked and not fobbed off with excuses. It was clear that they were very much out of their depth and had taken far too many reservations with very few staff to cover them. I would NOT recommend Mill Lodge to anyone given their overall performance yesterday in particular the kitchen staff and the so called Duty Manager who seemed to do a disappearing act!! The team leader that dealt with the situation was very understanding but it was obvious that his hands were tied to provide us with a better experience.

Truly dreadful excuse for a Christmas lunch. Ordered the prawn cocktail starter from the set 2 course menu. Huge bowl which looked promising from a distance only then to find hardly any prawns and a ridiculous amount of lettuce and cucumber. Followed that disappointment with the festive turkey dinner. What a mistake! Two of the tiniest pieces of turkey, a disc of stuffing the size of a one pound coin, a Yorkshire that had been chiselled out of granite, and a selection of greens that felt they had just been pulled out of the ground. Add to that been brought a Peroni instead of the ordered Corona and a 20 min wait for three teas afterwards. The place was jammed, so noisy that we couldn't hear each other talking and the heating that made it too uncomfortable. And the cost of this debacle? £75! There must be better places to spend £75 on three Christmas dinners

We were staying at the Premier Inn next door so came for dinner on the 30th of November at 7.30pm .Will took our order,I had the fish and chips and biscoff sundae , my husband had the burger and sticky toffee pudding.It was very, very busy but we didn't have to wait long for our food.The food was lovely and cooked to perfection . When it came to paying the bill there was a bit of confusion as the bill was to low ,we were having the meal deal which also included breakfast in the morning.We mentioned this Will who tried to check it on the till but the till would not bring it up so he asked us to speak to staff in the morning.All was resolved in the morning.Will is only 16 years old and Saturday night was his 3rd shift.Service from Will was very good and he did try to resolve the problem.All the staff were great especially as it was so busy.

Refused drinks at 10.05 pm on Saturday 23rd November 2024. We were informed that the bar closes at 10pm evenings and 9pm on Sundays. No last orders were called so very disappointed. We had travelled over 180 miles and had meet relations for drinks, which turned out to be 1 drink. Not acceptable when this is the establishment attached to the Premier inn hotel we were staying in.

If your a vegetarian don’t bother going pity as the staff are a all excellent and helpful but apparently they do not serve for vegetarians. So of course we had to walk out both times. Started well , attended without booking on Friday lunchtime. They found a table for us. Ordered two Coffees whilst we waited for our main meal. Staff were excellent and pleasant to start with. Coffees took forever and arrived slightly before the meal. They were Luke warm at best so clearly been sitting around . Main meal was a plate of two halves. Steak was very nice, chips were like the coffee , luke warm but okay. After requesting the bill, getting the bill took as long as getting the Coffees and eventually got our coats on and walked over to the till. There we were confronted with some sort of Management issue or lack of Manager apparently, she had disappeared leaving two teenagers running the place and instead of dealing with us we listened intently to the moaning staff. Disappointed with the visit , nit what we expect from a Beefeater.

Beware - £4.99 for just 2 (that's right only 2) king prawns. Was shocked when I asked for the extra king prawn with my salmon (which was actually very nice) and they arrived on the plate with only 2 prawns. £2.50 per prawn is really excessive. My friend had smothered chicken which appeared to have been microwaved and served with coleslaw that had little it no dressing. After complaining they did bring her some more coleslaw which did have dressing on. The edge of the chicken was dry and burnt. Will not be coming back.

We had a meal at the Mill Lodge on 13th October 24. Whilst only having a main and drinks we found the food to be very good and tasty. Both food and drink arrived at a reasonable interval. The restaurant was not very busy but the staff worked hard to ensure that we were well attended. In particular we were impressed by Sasha who only started there 2 weeks prior to our visit. Her can do attitude and pleasant demeanor added to our dining experience.

Mill Lodge is highly recommended for a good all you can eat breakfast. Enough variety to eat and drink. They have a nice buffet setting in which you can take as much as you want. Suitable for private individuals to eat out as well as for large groups of friends and family eat out. I had been here a couple of times but recently I discovered their services have dropped. The new pattern of booking a table for breakfast has to be looked into. If they need to do that then they need enough manpower to allocate seats to people rather than people standing for long on a queue waiting to get seats. I had to take a picture and video of this so the management wouldn't claim this doesn't happen.

Passing through Lincoln, so popped in for Sunday dinner (yes, dinner... not lunch. Lunch is for southerners 😆) Waited to be seated. Table a bit on the sticky side. A few crumbs still on, from previous patrons. Cutlery was a little dirty. Waited for our orders to be taken, but seems they'd forgotten about us, about 20 minutes later, so had to go and ask... Food came quickly. Was nice on the whole. The slightly larger potatoes were a little crunchy/ undercooked in the middle, but. Everything else was fine. Staff were pleasant so all in all, not too bad

Visited mill lodge Friday 6th September. Bearing in mind we booked a table for 7.30 we weren’t even seated till 8pm and then proceeded to wait an hour and 10 minutes for the food to arrive, decent meal but on further inspection I noticed my 16 month old son’s chicken was visibly raw which he had already started eating. Staff agreed and were very apologetic but couldn’t do much other than void the bill as the manager was not on site. My contact details were left for a manger to get in contact the next day but have not had anyone contact me. This is very disappointing and not acceptable in a place that handles food. Also very poor of management not to contact me. This has been reported to the food standards agency. If a manager would like to get in contact you have my details and I have emailed directly. Can now confirm a manger has rung me and offered me to come back and visit again totally complimentary to prove that this is not standard practice and offer us a chance to experience what we should have. Following up on this review me and my partner have since back for a meal to try again. Staff were fabulous and accommodating again apologizing for the incident last time. The food was excellent tonight, really tasty and amazing conversation with the staff team. I have attached pictures of the food from our visit tonight, couldn’t fault them. Definitely will be visiting again with my partner and son after faith being restored and seeing what the restaurant standards really were. Lovely night, thanks so much.

Raw chicken served to my 16 month old grandson on 6/9/24..totaly unacceptable. The manager is suposed to be contacting my daughter today..i wont hold my breath and will be contacting the Food Standards Agency with photographic evidence.

Had a voucher so decided to visit. Haven't been for a while. No longer take orders at table had to go to the bar. I don't know if this was a temporary thing or not. Ordered chargrilled chicken with garlic prawns as extra £4.99. You got 2 king prawns, 2! The meal in itself was fine but felt the whole thing was not up to their usual standard. Front door looked as if it had seen better days as well.

Staff were friendly upon arrival, seated us and took our order quickly as the restaurant was not very busy. Got our starter after about 30 minutes. Not too bad of a wait and the food was nice. After we had finished it took another 30 minutes until our plates were taken away. The waitress then asked for our mains order again which was a sign of things to come. After 75 minutes of waiting we decided to pay the bill and leave as it seemed as though we had been forgotten about. Staff were apologetic but the restaurant was still not busy so not too sure what had happened.

Good service, friendly staff and drivers. The food, disappointing to say the least. Raw dough on my pizza yet crispy and brown. Not the first time having this experience. Missus ordered a calzone. Which can only be described as a flat bread, where was the £12 of fillings we paid for? Probably got around £3 worth. May give you another chance some time in the future but for now I'll definitely pass.

NOT ABOUT THE PICNIC BAR. All about parking. Regarding parking, a theft occurred in my unit last night, and I discovered I wasn't the only victim. Therefore, I do not recommend this location for overnight parking.

The room is cold and the heater dosnt work just as well as the curtain is 4inchs above the electric heater that has a sign on it do not cover,the hot tap on the basin dosnt move or work so no hot water and only been here for 10 minutes using our own hairdrier to warm the room up.no heating in the bathroom, dont touch the coat hangers unless you have a first aid kit as they have the rail part missing and stab your hand ,its such a let down.next visit im booking the White Hart Hotel in Lincoln its beautiful and everything works.

Hidden gem! Stayed the night for a wedding in February 2025 and honestly couldn't fault the place. So much character and in an ideal location for a break away. Based in the countryside but close to the centre. Food was incredible as was all of the service. You can tell it's a well loved place and everyone feels like family. There is also locally produced (made on site!) chocolate which looks incredible. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to try but will definitely be going back for some!
