Milena's in East Devon

Amazing little place opposite Budleigh Library. Appears to be run by a lovely couple and whilst the service not the fastest, food and drink was excellent. The Basque baked cheesecake was one of the best I’ve had, and topped even those in San Sebastián which is largely regarded as the food capital of Europe! Will certainly visit here again.

Just a perfect little spot for lunch, the staff were so friendly and made us feel really welcome. Dog friendly. The food was excellent. I wasn’t expecting it to be that good. Would highly recommend

Great food and service…I had the mezze which was very good, excellent houmous and feta, and the olives were delicious. Good coffee and cakes too! I would definitely recommend Milenas….very high quality… it’s great to have some interesting food choices in Budleigh and Milenas doesn’t disappoint .

What can I say? Absolutely fantastic, the hot chocolate was perfect. And the Basque cheesecake is out of this world. I've not tried any other cakes here because the cheesecake is so good. But they all look amazing. All the cakes are home made. There is a small marquee at the front to keep you warm and dry in wet weather, or you can opt to sit inside the tea room. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit. They are shut Mondays and Tuesdays.

Amazing location in between the Green and Budleigh High Street, and perfect for a drop in after a walk along the beach with plenty of outside seating space to accommodate the dogs. The coffee is the best in Budleigh. The cakes are the best on the planet. Unlike a lot of places that get their cakes and treats delivered from a company, Milena’s are all homemade and fresh, which blows my mind.

This cafe is a gem of a find. We had the quiche which was delicious and the salad (a variety of tasty leaves and pomegranate seeds topped with the most wonderful home-made dressing) was glorious. All the cakes are hand-made by Milena. We took away some Burnt Basque cheesecake and relished every mouthful later in the afternoon - awesome!😋.

What a wonderful find! Visiting Budleigh Salterton today I parked close, noticing the lively coffee shop with every table full as I passed by. On our way back to the car my two grandsons & I stopped for drinks & cake as tables were available. We were greeted warmly and were thrilled with the selection of delicious homemade cakes/desserts. Living in East Devon we shall certainly be returning to sample more from the very inviting menu.

We came here on the recommendation of a friend. Good call. The place is quite small with limited tables so be quick. We had and excellent slice of quiche which was light, fluffy and tasty. However, this was followed by the best Basque cheesecake I have ever had by far(hope my Wife does not read this!). The little sliver of gold leaf is not necessary, but a nice touch all the same. The owners are very friendly and clearly want to provide a great experience. We will be back!

Situated directly opposite to the library in Station Road, Milena's Café should not be missed. Serving excellent coffee and cakes, together with light lunches, this small café with outside seating cannot be bettered. On several occasions my wife and I have called in for coffee and delicious, warm croissants and have also experienced the homemade, truly memorable, spinach and mushroom quiche as well as a superb lemon cake. The owners are exceedingly welcoming and everything is served with great style. Our regret is that we are not in Budleigh Salterton all of the time but much look forward to future visits.
