Fantastic micro-pub literally two minutes walk from the Burton Travelodge. Great atmosphere, with a real fire and superb ales. The sort of place you could walk into on your own and be talking to people ten minutes later as if you'd known them for years. Friendly guy behind the bar as well.

Really nice chap behind the bar, some very nice beers and good friendly drinkers. Nice fire place and the cottage pie looked lovely! (Was called Weighbridge when we visited)

Nice little micro pub well situated on the edge of town and close to the station. It may not suit everyone but we enjoyed the beer and will certainly return.

Try the honey dragon if it's available. It's the pubs flagship beer. 2-4 real ales on at all time usually featuring a Middle Earth Beer and rolling guests. Wine and cider also available. During winter roaring coal fires can also be found. 1 minutes walk from Burton train station

Went here in March with a group of friends. A unique little building very close to the train station. They had three ales on when we visited and also wine was available. Staff and customers very friendly. Well worth a visit.

We have visited heath house kitchen since it opened up...the family live round the corner from it. We have had birthday meals, christmas meals and themed nights there along with their general menu. Pie night is a regular attendance for us,tue first Wednesday of every month. Hand made pies, full to the top of whatever filling they have each month and they can be pastry or mash topped pies. This week I had chicken and peppercorn pie with hand cooked chips, roasted charred and buttered veg and an unctuous gravy Other pies eaten over many nights inc minted lamb, chicken and Stilton, baked ham anc cheese, steak and ale and the fish pie filled with cod, scallops and king prawns.. delicious is an understatement.
