Micky's Fish in Brent

Needed refreshment on a hot tiring journey, so asked to share a large haddock & chips. Both fish & chips were very fresh & tasty, really hit the spot. Mushy peas were a bit premade, but tartare sauce was excellent. Price very modest too. We'll call here again!

Weekday early afternoon for a couple of portions of sausage and chips. Service was efficient but a little cheerless. Chips could have done with another minute or so in the fryer, but were fine. Sausages, rather dried out and a bit small, but tasted ok. Price - ok. This place is in a great spot - maybe that's why they can manage to prosper without bothering to be really good. They should take a trip to 'Big Bite' in Willesden Green to see what a really excellent local chippy can be.

I’ve lived in the area for 65 years and have used ‘Micky’s’ since it opened. Sadly it has gotten progressively worse, especially so after the covid closure. Fish and chips have been a British staple on a Friday for centuries- yes I occasionally have a chicken pie- which last week was inedible, all dried out so no filling. Giving them chance after chance today was the last straw- everything was disgusting! My daughter had wings, which must have been sitting all day and you could have broken a tooth on them. Lunes festivo - pedimos pescado y patatas fritas para la familia - 2 bacalao / patatas fritas grandes y 3 patatas fritas de gambas - parece sencillo. . . . - uno de los bacalaos literalmente no tenía pescado EN TODO Y ERA SOLO BATEADOR - El otro pescado estaba bien cocido - entonces, ¿por qué la falta de cuidado en entregar solo una buena comida? ¿Cómo pueden servir comida como esta? - la porción de papas fritas era pequeña pero adecuada - las gambas estaban demasiado cocidas y recordaban a las comidas escolares - demasiado cocidas y grasosas - Desafortunadamente, me encantaría apoyar a los comerciantes locales, pero no puedo cuando la calidad de la comida es tan mala - fue una pena porque teníamos muchas ganas de comer, la primera y la última vez que iremos allí

With this kind of management, this business will not survive for long. What makes it most disappointing is having had two previous overwhelmingly positive experiences. This, however, cancels them out. My brother asked for a 'hand made fishcake' (which was clearly stated on the menu) and the two bickering brothers who own the place argued about whether they served it. One of them said that they did and assembled something that was battered and it was served in a takeaway container for a sit-down customer. My brother asked for cutlery and was told to use a wooden fork. He then saw the 'fish cake' and asked for this money back. The manager blamed his untrained staff for the omnishambles and his brother, instead of just taking it on the chin and admitting that the 'food' was an abomination. He claimed that had he not been fasting he would have eaten in but it was clear he was shocked by its appearance. I intervened when I saw that my brother was being patronised (he looks much younger than a man in his early 40s) and that the badly trained staff member was openly laughing at this all. I was told to 'reel my neck in', that I was 'irrelevant' and that I should 'stop cussing'. At no point did I swear, and he took umbrage that I described the offending item as resembling 'rat'. It was clear that the owners believed that they could treat my brother like a child and that would be that. They only took us seriously when I asked if they had online reviews. I guess this is what happens when you are openly contemptuous of the people that pay your wages. What a shame, this spot has been a place I have associated with good memories since childhood, as there has always been a chip shop there. It's also a shame because when they're good, they're really really good. It's best to go elsewhere to guarantee consistent service, food and respect.

Muy, muy decepcionado con el servicio al cliente y la experiencia. He visitado este lugar hace aproximadamente 3 meses para pastel de pescado casero y papas fritas. . que resultó ser excelente. ¡Pero hoy me engañaron con una imitación hecha a toda prisa de un pastel de pescado casero que venía con una pequeña poción de pescado y dos enormes grupos de masa! ! Emparedado entre los pescados. ¡No volveré aquí y el administrador inepto no sabía cómo apaciguar a los clientes descontentos!

Shocking pie, stiff rock hard pastry, hugely let down as it’s a local spot, never had a pukka pie so poor

My friend and I happened to be at Micky’s Fish on Saturday night and we can’t regret being there at all. We had the best fish and chips ever. Out of world. Spot on 🎯

Nous sommes venus voir un match de Foot US. A proximité de notre logement se trouvait Micky's Fish. Un petit restaurant très propre et la nourriture de qualité. Un endroit à pointer du doigt car pas cher ce qui est rare in London. Un grand merci à notre petit cuisinier originaire d'Amérique Central, il est très gentil, calme et agréable. Petit Budget venait là vous ne serez pas déçus.

I have come to a fish and chip shop on this site for maybe 30 years when I lived locally. It then did not look so good so I have not been here for more than 15 years however it has just been renovated and looks really nice so I popped in for a large cod and chips. They now have a few tables so I ate in. The cod was superb quality - a thick loin and as white as possible. The batter was very thin and crisp and the chips were thick and a lovely colour. I was very impressed with the quality and it is a clean and comfortable restaurant. For £8.20 eat in I thought the value was excellent too especially for Kensal Rise which is generally expensive.
