Food tasted chemical. Not fresh. Hardly any choice. Very very disappointed. Staff not helpful. Avoid!!!!!

Got a rare night out from the kids decided on here as not been in a while. All you can eat buffet for £14.50 a head ( cheaper monday to thursday i think ) Lots of choices on the mains, as always, and not many people in so always plenty to pick from. The garlic nans are stunning.

Great place would highly recommend. All the food was fresh and hot and the customer service was incredible. Will 100% be back

Pilau rice just a yellow colour ni spices or any flavour chicken korma was awful more like butter chicken everything was tasteless this was my first experience here and will be my last

We found this restaurant on a walk about, what a surprise, the place was virtually empty and we were directed to a large corner table. Our server John took our drinks order and gave us plenty of time to choose our food, we had chicken dhansak, chicken khari, 2 rice, saag aloo, tarka dhal and a naan the food was excellent and plenty of it, the total price all for less than £40 great value . On our way out John gave us an umbrella to take (as a monsoon came on) what a great guy.

A worker at our hotel recommended this particular restaurant....We were delighted with our meal and service my partner commented that it was the best Indian meal she has ever had and my Madras was certainly up there...The nans are something special a thoroughly delightful meal

We have ordered from here many times and never disappointed but tonight ordered special mixed kebab and samosas online at 7.48pm then phoned at 7.50 to asked for the salad and sauce to be separate from meat to be told it was already on it's way. Delivery driver arrived 25 minutes after phone call with a cold kebab . I will be talking to them about a refund but would not recommend after tonight

The egg fried rice taste like dry carpet and the kebabs taste like charcoal absolutely disgusting wouldn’t go here again.

We phoned and ordered food for collection. It was ready on time and portions are massive! I had a chicken kebab and it was lovely 😊

Arrived after an hour of ordering, i get that they can get busy but no apology whatsoever. Food was cold, stale onions, burnt naan bread. I had a cabbage leaf on the kebab and the delivery driver wandered off without giving me my change despite me already paying £4 extra for delivery. I used to order from here regularly I will never use it again.

absolutely fantastic can't fault nothing we have used Michael's on a number of occasions value for money well wrapped an delivery always on time I would say tho it takes upto 50 mins but it's all fresh so well worth the wait would highly recommend

i placed an online order on at 5.05 and i later rang over an hour later to the n be paased over the phone t another man who then went into kitchen to check the order to be told that the order has been sent out and be here in a minute .Even though the man had no clue what i was talking about he couldnt even get the adress right never mind an oder .then about three hours later the order come and i sent the driver away no way should you have to wait that ammount of time to get an order and then when you do try and ring them the phone is constantly engaged them mentions being diverted thats really bad for a company .how on earth can u say that a order is on the way then have no clue pure lies really is .espically when you speak to on person to be passed on to some one who had communication errors then to not even put you on hold then you can hear all they say ,that nbo one in the kitchen could undertsand him to the pint he just says yeah its left and be a fe w minutes .what a hige pack of lies that was ,poor communication and terrible service that hhey offer never again will we go there .

we ordered a takeaway this evening and never again! at no point when ordering were we told how long it would take. An hour after ordering i called to see where it was and was told it would be here within 10-15mins, a further 22 mins later i called back to be told the driver will be with me any min and hed knock a fiver off my bill.as the driver passed me the food i asked if he had just left the shop as the boxes were cold, he said no he hadnt so clearly hes been driving around with it in his boot hence the wait!! .i take the food inside and not only is it cold as suspected but there is also a kebab missing!!. called back to be told oh the manager will bring you one out asap....errrrm i dont think so, this lots cold and i waited an hour and twenty min for it so im not likely to wait for another.terrible service, cold food and the only answer from staff was "oh well it is friday so we are really busy"avoid unless you dont mind your food cold and arriving well over an hour after you order it

I’ve had many a take away from this place I just can’t fault it Gina behind the ‘ bar counter ‘ presently only doing take away orders I think is brilliant she can’t do enough for you The food is always Tasty red hot ( I hate look warm food ) I wish we could go back to the Buffet style though but for now the take away will have to surface I can only think that maybe some of the IF THERE are any bad reviews are other business bad mouthing I do feel sorry for them as they spent hundreds of thousands saving an historic building and turning it into modern structure Indonhopenthey can keep going until this ‘ scam/pandemic is over On a minus though I did find the other branch not quite as good .... get your ginger out chef take note and learn from Whitegate drive Chefs

amazing food we hadpoppadum's and chutneystarters of marinated chicken and chicken pakoramain lunair chilli chicke, beef dupazi, pilua rice and the biggest and tastiest garlic naan. 2 bottles rose wine and 2 double vodkas and only cost £60 great prices everything was cooked perfect to much for me so they wrapped it up so i could take it home. All at great will defo be back cheers guys

I got a Vindaloo, I’m not over stating it that I have had spicier kormas in my time. Disappointing from an Indian.

We booked here last minute and was referred here from our hotel owner,13 of us walked through the door, within 5 mins we were all seated having orders taken, there was no complaint from anyone from my group about the food and 3 of them took food home with them (doggybags) as there was so much.The food was piping hot, I had a chicken jalfezi with pilaf rice and bombay potato it was amazing, my other half had the tandoori chicken mix (it could have fed 2 people) and my daughter had the chicken shashlik again a hugh dish and for all 3 meals it cost us £32 the food you get for the price is amazing and the flavours are seriously nice. I really do recommend Michael's if you enjoy a great curry.

Visited this restaurant a couple of times, both times the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Good prices and good size portions

Quite a disappointment on the whole, the staff were great and that is where it stops.....Food came on cold plates and the rice was cold anyway and atmosphere was very underwhelming, did not enjoy as much as we were expecting

Very friendly staff and food absolutely beautiful. One of our party has special dietary requirements and the waiter took note of this and the kitchen staff delivered. Gwen is a superstar and made sure our large party was looked after. Big portion sized, especially the naan breads. So good we went twice in the same week and will definitely go back next time we stay in Blackpool

We were unsure what to expect but were definitely not disappointed as everything was delicious. The garlic naan was large, soft and tasty, the mushroom rice wasn't rice like what you get at some restaurants and our curries were fab. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I originally asked for a korma and the waitress said it is quite sweet and thick there which put me off slightly so I ordered the Murgh Samandri which was a great alternative. We also got the Makhani which was also nice. The 50% off was also a great addition to the meal! Overall a fantastic curry, it's just a shame we live 2 hours away as we would've visited again!

We booked a table for 6.30 and stood at the check in for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us,the buffet is not running due to COVID-19 which i understand so we ordered like a normal Indian Restaurant,The place was very clean and there was a good atmosphere,we ordered a drink which did arrive very quick indeed,by 7.15 i had to find someone to take out order,i understand they are busy but the staff just need some customer service training as they should make sure people are being looked after?WHEN we did get a person to take our order they were very polite,we eventually got our starters at 7.50,a long way from our 6.30 booking?However the food was amazing very hot well cooked and plenty of it!! and luckily the drinks waiters were quick and we drank more than planned due to the waiting time!! every cloud eh?!!!To the management please train your staff in customer service as believe it or not its customers that keep your business going??

Just back from our second visit another superb meal the nan bread is to die for.The food so tasty and full of flavour and the staff so friendly and welcoming we will definitely be returning.

Placed an order for delivery today, I can appreciate at the moment orders may take a while but I'd expect the order to arrive with at least a bit of warmth to it rather than it matching the heat of my hands and the order to being incorrect, phoned to tell them they had put the incorrect toppings on my order to be told I was wrong and that they wouldn't have made a mistake when they have the receipt so apparently I'm blind and wasnt seeing what was in front of me and I have no taste buds, so maybe the food wasnt sh*te and I'm just mistaken with the same order I place every time, will not be wasting my money on this shitehole again, dont know if theres been a change of staff due to covid or something but think they need to ship some staff over from the Thornton site where they actually correct incorrect orders rather than arguing the point the order was right when it was not. Customer service skills absolutely appalling. Thornton Michael's over blackpool anytime. If your in blackpool and cant get delivery from Thornton take a trip to curry time instead where the food comes cooked and incorrect orders get corrected not just left.

Me and housemate ordered 2 Tandoori Mixed Grills with 1 large chips hoping it would be enough for 2 healthy appetites, which including delivery was under £20.It came in about 40 minutes which isn’t bad going especially at the moment. The food, when it arrived was piping hot and I can assure you the portion sizes are very generous. There was a big chicken leg, a couple of pieces of beef sheesh kebab and lots of tandoori chicken pieces, along with a small amount of salad and a pot of accompanying sauce. Everything was full of taste, with a decent amount of kick to it, but not so that it was overpowering the chicken taste itself.Definitely recommended.

Visited this restaurant with three friends on Wednesday night. There were only 4 other diners in the place and it is a big restaurant.. we were given a choice of only 2 tables despite the place being deserted. The staff were friendly enough and the menus arrived quickly. We were given enough time to choose our meals and gave our orders. But what a disappointment the food was. The popadoms has been cooked in oil that must have been in the fryer for months. A stale fat tasted ruined them. We all has chicken in one form or another but it was tough and stringy as if it had been reheated in the microwave, or as we suspected taken from the buffet display and given to us. This is not what you expect from a well known Indian The decor was tired, the chairs PVC covering was torn and fraying and the table cloths looked as if they had been in place for weeks. There is huge competition in Blackpool for eating establishments and Michaels is losing the battle. Second rate and never to be visited again unless you are starving and every other place is closed.Avoid it if you can and if you do go please ask the waiter not to hug the clean plates close to his none to clean shirt.

We entered the establishment not long after six o clock. The cold and tasteless food ensured we were out by six thirty. Cold and left to stand and very rarely refilled. Do not go here

Ordered take away prawn korma and garlic naan bread. The korma was disgusting it had like a desert sauce in it instead of korma and about 4 medium prawns . Threw it away . The naan bread was dripping in fat and also inedible . Didn't bother returning to complain .never ever go near there .

I had ordered 2 kebabs and a cheeseburger and a cheesy chips , I waited 1hr 20minutes for the food to arrive to find that the burger wasn’t there! I rang them n they had said that it would be there within 10 minutes, 10 minutes passed by still no burger! nobody at the restaurant seemed bothered about this, they must have already had their tea so wouldn’t bother spending a penny here, the food was cold even when it had been at the restaurant for 20 minutes after my kebabs came. Let’s talk about the chips they were cold but the cheese that tasted like 1865 leather pretty much the whole experience here was over all atrocious

You do need to be hungry eating here portion are huge.Warm welcome when we arrived and the attentive service stayed with us all throughout the meal.We shared a mixed starter for one and still left some.Main courses filled a large oval plate half rice and half chicken tikka, also had a doppiza And the biggest nan bread I have ever had,All the staff were very friendly , Wine list is not so good but the price does reflect the quality.Dinner for 2 and a bottle of red for £33:00 Excellent value

thought it would be nice to order a take away for a change, Mrs said lets try Michael's on Whitegate drive... easy order over there website great way, and delivery driver was ok was delivered under 40 mins.... the food went into the bin. ordered 2 mixed starters part of the chicken was under cooked but very difficult to tell by the look of it as it was marinated in tandoori colours. chips were minging little greasy bits then main was a tandoori mixed kebab should just of known better.... keema naan was in a brown paper bag swarming in red greasey liquid, i am so surprised after hearing good remarks over the years, thats a 30 quid date night i wont be getting back.

We ordered a large family meal with kebabs and extras at 5.20pm, told it was 40 mins delivery, driver arrived at 6.55pm, 55 mins late!! Rang the office 4 times during this time to check where the food was and a the response we got was that "we're busy" and you'll have to wait!! Sent the driver away and reordered from somewhere else, so disappointed as this was a birthday treat, won't ever order again!!

A party of 8 of us went the other night, very warm welcome and the food was all ok, very nice in fact. A bit slow with the drinks as I'd have drank more if the service was faster. I feel a wasted chance to take more money. Over all would recommend.

Went with a group of friends, arrived and it was dead. Within 15 minutes about 50 people arrived, including a massive group. Could see staff working to keep the buffet fresh. Food was spot on, staff friendly and very helpful (even when under pressure) I have been plenty of times but in particular this time I felt I had to leave a review.

Service and food was great even though the restaurant was really busy. Staff were attentive and worked hard to ensure the Buffett was refilled. 5* would definitely recommend - great value for money!!

The food is nice here but I've had much better Indians. The service isnt great either. It was a very average experience. Nice place inside but they need to make some improvements.

Went to Michael's on Whitegate Drive for a catch up with a friend. There were more staff than customers, but we thought this would be ok as we would be served quickly.

A group of ten of us went here for food and it was excellent i had the chicken madrass unlike some places ive been where food is just warm this was hot as was all food we got couldnt fault food or service first class i'll be back next time im in blackpool

Driving past this place it doesn’t look much from outside, but inside is very clean and the decor is lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and don’t rush you like other all you can eat places. Great variety of curries on offer as well as sundries and desserts. Will definitely be paying this place a visit again soon.

Had take away from here tonight and it was one of the best we have had. Good came fairly quickly and was hot and the delivery driver was very pleasant. Highly recommend

Stoped at Michaels for a last minute evening meal. Buffet was open but didn’t look very appetising. Decided to order a take away kebab instead. Went for the mixed one, served on a nanh bread. Was as big a new born baby when it arrived, plenty for the 2 of us!!

Been wanting to go for ages and finally did last week. Won’t be going back. Very poor service. No one explained how the buffet works or the drink ordering. Hardly any food available on the buffet. Bit of curry sauce in the pan but hardly any meat. So disappointing. Very expensive for what it was. No one said goodbye as we left.

Dirty place , cups , cutlery , plates all dirty and not washed properly, some with food stuck to it!!

Visited earlier in the week with family - nice relaxed atmosphere, staff very polite and attentive, all you can eat buffet is excellent value for money - plenty to choose from and the freshly made naan bread are lovely. Overall very nice dining experience :)

I’ll start with the positives. I arrived on a quiet evening so the service relatively quick... the waiters were friendly however looked like they couldn’t be bothered to be there. The starters tasted fine. However the curries came n it was 90% grease which made me sick. Both curries we ordered were completely different dishes (one balti and one Lahori chilly chicken) however they tasted n looked exactly the same. we both had the runs 2 days after our meal WILL NOT come again.

We ordered a starter and a meal each, to put it out there, it wasn’t great for the price. Our curry was full of oil it was a very disappointing experience. It was our last night in blackpool so we though to treat ourself to an Indian.... both me and my partner felt very uneasy after the meal and the day after feel very unwell. Customer service was great but the food wasn’t. Starter was lovely but the main course left us with a bad stomach and it just wasn’t nice. We visited 27th June and unfortunately we won’t be returning. We visited 5 years ago and it was lovely... this time wasn’t. It was horrible.

I ordered a meal including delivery, it came to £31.70. The delivery driver charged £39.00 despite delivery being included.

I ordered a takeaway last night worst meal ever the burger was greasy and artificial and the curry was swimming in grease I threw up from the burger and my dad had the runs never ordering from agin and we got a refund but the driver had ago at my mum he was so rude

i had a take away from here 5 half years ago and was not inpressed,, but omg 5 of us just been for a meal everything was perfect the food the staff the decor will defo be going back very soon sat there for 2 hours with a couple of drinks and didnt feel rushed once, were else can you get all that for a 9.95 buffet, just perfect.

More familiar with Michael’s in Thornton but chose Blackpool because friends have recommended the all-you-can-eat buffet. Phoned to book a table in advance only to find the place deserted when we arrived just before 6. More did arrive, but not enough to make the place feel busy.

As it was John`s birthday we decided we should all go out for a meal that evening. We have not been to Michaels`s Restaurant before and were pleasantly impressed. On arrival we were asked if we would like to dine a la carte or would we prefer the "all you can eat buffet", John said he would like to try the buffet. We chose the table we would like to sit at and ordered our drinks.

You can choose a la carte or buffet ( which we opted for). Good selection of starters, breads, rice, curries and condiments, as well as desserts. Really nice, tasty food at a great price. Would recommend this restaurant.

The all you can eat buffet is very competitively priced, offers an excellent choice of dishes which all taste great. What is there not to like?

We drove past this place looking for somewhere to have a takeaway and saw it by chance whilst having a weekend away in Blackpool. We noticed the big board outside which advertised restaurant and takeaway. Buffett prices £9.95

It seemed to us that the main issue was that the small quantities being cooked fresh and brought out to the buffet struggled to keep pace with the number of customers eating. There was plenty of rice available, but curries and some of the starters were always requiring fresh supplies.

Great place to eat if you a buffet style or off the menue, always a very high standard and the staff always great you with a smile, we use Michaels as often as we can.

Arrived here at 6pm on a Sunday after trying to get a table at the world buffet in the town centre but finding a long queue. As an ex-local, I knew that Whitegate Drive was far enough off the beaten path to mainly attract residents rather than tourists, who would expect good standards.

From the outside your not really sure what your going to get. But this was a lovely experience from entering to leaving . The ambiance was good, the staff amazing . The buffet looked tempting as we walked pass . Clean and well stocked .

We ordered as a family for a delivery last month and an item was missing, again we ordered tonight and one of the main dishes was missing! Alongside the rest of the order only just being warm, the missing main was delivered but by this time all the food was cold and a family meal was ruined! 3 phone calls to Michael’s and each time get placed on hold, clearly understaffed but this is no excuse to let customers down. Easy enough to charge for all items, but not to deliver them, very disappointing and will not be recommending or returning.

Got a delivery from here and to be fair the food is always to die for however on the night in question we had 2 large mixed kebabs and 2 chips

Have been getting food from here for a many years and it use to be fabulous food, now it's hit and miss 1 week it's good the next it can be garbage. The seekh kebab starter was that bad this week I will not be ordering from them again. I will be using Lee Raj in future.

Ordered delivery last night for 4 of us. All of the food was swimming in chip fat, even the packaging on top of the chips. The tandoori chicken was so dry and hard you could easily knock somebody out with it. The korma was literally a mixture of rock hard cubes of chicken mixed with what looked like just dedicated coconut. No herbs n spices, just coconut! I ended up having to throw everything away despite spending over £35. Sent them a message to complain and have been ignored. Do not waste your time or risk your health eating here, really not worth the risk!

Nice place, pleasant staff and a great selection of menu items, all item are available for home delivery. The portions are huge. I had the big kebab and couldn’t finish it, got through half of it. Highly recommended give it a try it’s worth it

I ordered a donner kebab, 2 cheese burgers, and chips, didn't take to long to arrive but then.. the delivery guy managed to be rude, and was quite offensive basically trying to accuse us of not paying enough, then realised while foods going cold it was right..I then realised the order was wrong and they sent a chicken kebab ffs, and it was DISGUSTING, the salad looked and tasted like it had been wilting for a fortnight?! This order was not edible, and they really need to stop serving chips as they are absolutely vile!! My last order was really bad too but I'm devastated as the last time I had a curry from here it was pretty decent, in fact very, and the naan. Won't be going back now though.

Unfortunately they wanted me to sign up to buy their food, when had a few beers cannot be bothered messing about, ordered from India palace straight forward, mmmmm yummy, why why must have too much money

We like a good curry but have never tried a buffet type Indian Restaurant.

Visited tonight for a take away.... possibly the worst take away we have ever had. The chips was soggy full of grease and not worth eating . The naan bread was solid you couldnt even bite it and madras sauce had a horrible funny taste. This was a take away so unsure what the restaurant is like and really wouldn't like to try after our take away experience. Will not be going again.

Michael's Indian Restaurant is excellent Best Indian for miles, good food and great take away too. Nice decor and friendly staff.

Visited on 5/9/2018 for the second time in 2 weeks as the first time was excellent and they have reduced the price to £ 9-95 each which now makes it superb value . Once again we were not disappointed , we arrived about 6-30pm and although it wasn't busy ( about 25-30 diners ) we were shown to a table by a very polite and efficient waiter who also took our drinks order , the food was of excellent quality and plentiful with loads of choice . If you hav'nt been for a while then give it a try you won't be disappointed .

Not an authentic Indian restaurant large

We are regular visitors to Michaels on Whitegate Drive, and big ‘fans’ of the buffet. If you just fancy a selection of the many ‘starters’ and a little of the main courses on offer or vice versa then the world is your oyster, whatever you feel like. Personally like to feast on lots of starters and very often don’t have much main.

Fabulous food and great value for money. Great staff, would definitely be back again. Highly recommended.

Came to restaurant ,an hour and half early (we booked for 7pm), for the all you can eat buffet. No problems , let us sit in the lounge area,for drinks, offered us poppadoms and dips,while we waited. Can` t remember the guys name ( he was from Blackburn ,lol ), but he was very polite with us. The food was beautiful , a good selection ,including pizza and desserts. Lovely surroundings and a nice restaurant. Just wish there was one of these around by us.

Was here last week with friends could not fault it food was all very tasty. Staff friendly and attentive well worth a visit. Will be back for more. Excelent value for money.

Found this menu on the table of Beachcliffe apartments where we were staying for 4nights. I usually get a tandoori mixed starter from most places I eat so I also ordered a chicken tikka starter for me and my partner to share. Not needed. The mixed starter was huge! And honestly the tastiest Indians I’ve ever had. Naan breads as big as a house and every flavour sublime. I’m taking this menu home to Newcastle so the next time I come to Blackpool I can eat from here. Lush!

went with my son and his friend . after a bit of debate we chose from the main menu and were really glad we did .the food was excellent and the waiter was friendly and funny . my son ordered a korma and the waiter allowed him to taste before he ordered which was a blessing as it was foul lol if you need a decent korma come to birmingham. BUT the food we did decide on was lovely and the restaurant itself is very modern clean and relaxing will definitely there when we next visit blackpool

Opted for the buffet which is attractively priced but although there's plenty of choice the quality of food and how it's presented is lacking. Also the first impressions wasn't good with tables left uncleared and food lying around the floor. The currys were only sauce, no meat or chicken as this had all been fished out by previous visitors just leaving the dregs to hunt amongst, although we pointed this out to staff it wasn't replenished. And it wasn't even luke warm, cold rice with undercooked pieces mixed in, even the nans were cut up into small squares. Things like chips, pakora's, baajis, all dried out and tasteless. Maybe the meals from the menu are better but we won't be back to find out.

Ordered a takeaway for collection. Where do i start it was the most bizarre indian food i have ever tasted. Funny colour korma that looked like a plate of baby food awful chicken tikka starter and awful onion bhaji. In fact everything we ordered even down to rice and dips was of the poorest quality. EVERY SINGLE ITEM WENT IN BIN A COMPLETE WASTE OF 23 POUND

Bought a large chicken and regular chicken kebab tonight. The large had chilli and garlic on and the regular had 1000 island on.

We have just returned from our first visit to Michaels and it won't be our last. As my husband is in a wheelchair we often find it difficult to eat out, but the facilities here are perfect.

Not impressed at all!!! Didn't get what I ordered and when I phoned up the staff were not helpful at all, and quite rude actually! Food arrived absolutely swimming in grease! Got a chicken tikka and it tastes nothing like it at all! As far as I'm aware tikka is ment to be a creamy curry?! This was far from it ... Not alot of chicken in a greasy watery tomato sauce! Will not be buying from you again absolutely disgraceful! If you want a nice curry AVOID this place! This restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff and local taxi firm as good so we decided to visit.

Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Fast with drinks orders. We ate at the buffet, food was fresh, hot & delicious - we went up a few times and the food was constantly being replenished. We have ordered off the menu before and the food has been amazing - the staff really took the time to listen to my wishes in terms of flavour and spice level and made the perfect curry recommendation - Murgh Samundri. Love the variety of the buffet though, little bit of everything. And you even get HOMEMADE desserts included in the buffet... delicious!!

Had a nice meal here with the family. All had the buffet and what a bargain at £9.95 any day of week. Lots to choose from and Pizza for anyone who isn't a major Indian fan. We all enjoyed it and will be back soon
