Wow, What a find. Fantastic family restaurant. Food, drink and entertainment was outstanding. Staff went above and beyond. Will definitely become a regular.

This is the most friendly and welcoming restaurant. Mark and his team go out of their way to make every visit special. The food is fabulous, with specials added to their regular menu daily. The food is always top quality. Entertainment is now added on specific nights.

Great food and a warm welcome from Mark and his team awaits. Been several times, be it as a family, for ‘date nights’ with the good lady, or with a large group of colleagues for a night out. If you are nearby, take the chance. You won’t be disappointed! Top tip, thumb your nose at the diet for an evening and order the Stracetti as a side. Maybe get an Espresso Martini to reward yourself too.

Food was just amazing .We had a nice arancini for starter then our main dish was filet steak . Steak was just mouth watering cooked perfectly.

From arrival to departure this was a wonderful experience. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was wonderful fresh and very tasty. The four of us there all had different dishes which we all really enjoyed. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Ate here on Saturday evening, service was excellent from start to finish. The food was some of the best we’ve had outside Italy, with scallops special to start then two different pastas and a first class focaccia. Wine list great and reasonable too. We will definitely be back.

This is a local favourite restaurant. Just two of us on a Thursday evening. We both had Crostini Pomodoro for starters and then a fillet steak and a Pollo Milanese for mains, and a bottle of house red (merlot). All food was cooked to perfection. Service was great from the two waitresses on duty. We will be back.

Can’t recommend Michaelangelos catering highly enough. We had a superb lunch delivered today for a meeting we were hosting at our Murgitroyd headquarters in Glasgow. Various dietary requirements were taken into account: gluten free, no wheat, no dairy. All cooked to perfection and served with a smile by Mark himself. Huge thank you to all the staff at Michaelangelos who made this happen, especially when it is normally their day off! Irene

Great food, reasonably priced, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Great portion size The ragu tagliatelle in particular was fantastic.

Tonight's meal was lovely, my husband had the sea bass with lemon butter sauce and I had the pasta with prawn and scallops. Great relaxed atmosphere, just what was needed after a busy week. Thanks Mark and team.

Mark and his staff could not make you feel more welcome! It's fantastic for Clarkston that he has managed to not only survive the difficulties of Covid but come back with the same fabulous standards of food and atmosphere. My linguine with (very generous) king prawns and asparagus was utterly delicious - as was every element of the antipasto mixed starter. Will definitely be back soon!

We chose an afternoon time slot and had the best time! The lunch menu is excellent and the specials are fantastic. The sirloin steak with the pepper sauce was juicy and just right. My Mac & Cheese with pancetta was yummy. TMark & the team made us so welcome and it was lovely to see the young ladies at another table celebrating with a bottle of Dom Perignon. Great atmosphere as usual, can't wait to go back, next time we'll go for dinner!

Been coming to Michealangleo’s for years now, and not once have I been disappointed with the food or staff. The food is always perfect portion sizes & always full of flavour. The staff are equally as excellent, always happy to help and friendly. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

A meal can always go wrong. The meat can be a little over cooked, the sauce lacking in seasoning. The biggest no-no for a restaurant, however, (especially an Italian one) is small portions. The pollo Milanese was tiny (also lacked seasoning, incidentally) while so too was my friend’s ravioli. Such a disappointing meal.

We have eaten here countless times - as a couple, with friends, and on family occasions - so a review is overdue.Mark, formerly the manager, now the owner for the last couple of years, is always friendly and welcoming without being at all intrusive. There is a lovely friendly and relaxed atmosphere and it is obvious that most of the customers are regulars and are known to Mark and his staff.The food is always of excellent quality and is very well cooked and presented. We have never been disappointed here. It is always good value, with the Sunday lunch menu being particularly good. In addition to a good choice from the reasonably priced set menu there are always a good number of specials available. On Friday and Saturday evenings there is an excellent a la carte menu.We really like this place. Any restaurant which attracts so many return customers is obviously doing something right.

I have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. It’s well located on the main Clarkston Rd with a good amount of free car parking in the adjacent surface car park. The food was very good and the staff were attentive without being fussy. The restaurant isnt huge inside and the acoustics can make it noisy but I think it all adds to the atmosphere. We ate from the Dinner menu which had plenty of great choices. One of our party required gluten-free food - not a problem. The bill for 5, each having 2 courses and a total of 4 alcoholic drinks was £93 which we all thought was excellent value. I have already booked to go back next month!!

We prefer to eat locally now we have a decent choice of restaurants, but we always seem to come back to Michelangelo’s especially on a Sunday where they have a special menu with a choice of 2 or 3 courses. We have never been disappointed with their food which is fresh and expertly cooked and very tasty. It’s a nice cosy restaurant and the staff are very attentive.

I literally had the best pasta I have ever tasted.....in Michaelangelos on Wednesday night! Part of the half pizza/half past deal (of which the pizza was also delicious!), it was linguine with chilli and garlic and was an absolute taste sensation! Iv literally dreamt of it since! Delicious! So much so I offered to marry the chef who had cooked this amazing pasta dish!....which he politely declined but he did come to the table to say hello and thank us for our feedback!

We are regulars in this lovely restaurant and really appreciate the freshness and quality of the food. There are always specials on, which keeps us coming back for the fantastic variety. Service is warm and fiendly. Although they have a small menu on weeknights, they have a real "can do" attitude when you want to go off-menu as the have a proper chef who cooks from scratch. Weekends they have the full a la carte. Divine!

Just left. Great Tomahawk steak, beautiful Barolo, perfect service which was friendly but discreet. A great local place. You feel it is grounded in the community- it supports local causes and you get the feeling that people round about are really comfortable there- but it isn’t complacent at all or cliquey. Very welcoming to all. Andbtw, great transport links as Cton station 3 mins away. Station has lots of parking. Staff will call you taxi which came quickly. We had great night. So defo worth a visit.

Don't fooled by the size of this wonderful restaurant. In terms of taste and service it packs a real punch. A tightly controlled menu, which rightly focuses of flavour and produce, with an evening and a wider a la carte menu. Having said that, we usually can't see past the specials! The emphasis is on using excellent produce, and if you like to know how dishes are put together, then just ask - there is a real passion on show. In a city which is well served fro Italian food, Michaelangelo's stands out. The staff are friendly and attentive, but take the food very seriously. The vibe is relaxed, and everyone is at ease - you will know more people when you leave than when you went in. Give it a wee go.

Just back home from another fantastic meal at our local Italian, The food was amazing as usual, service from all the staff was spot on and best of all a great price for it all. Mark and his staff are attentive to all tables but not overpowering. Really sorry for the movie spoiler

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my son and daughter’s birthday and had a wonderful evening. The food was amazing, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the manager had us in stitches. We will definitely return.

Myself and the better half visited and had a pretty perfect meal - nice wine, excellent fish skewers for mains, lovely fresh capresi salad for starters. Staff all very friendly and manager made us feel welcome.

A great little restaurant for a quick bite or romantic meal. Mark and his staff are always attentive and very pleasant. The food was fantastic and my only complaint is that I was spoilt for choice.

The food is always good, but the cocktails were next level. The best french martini and the taste of my first negroni will not be forgotten. Also a fabulous bottle of light red that went woth all the dishes. Highly recommend!

Had the early evening meal and it was excellent. The Food was very well prepared and tasted lovely. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was great and was helped by the front of house chap who was very friendly and chatty. Only very slight gripe was that the cocktails were around £8.95 each and I didn't feel they were good value. However, the liqueur at the end of the meal made up for it.

We held our Christmas Night Out here and the food was excellent. New manager, Mark was very attentive and worked well with the staff and customers creating the perfect ambience. Can't wait to go back.

We are extremely lucky to have this little diamond of a restaurant on our doorstep. We’ve been going regularly for years and it never disappoints. Date night, family celebrations and anything in between, Mark and the team go above and beyond to ensure every visit for every customer is memorable in all the right ways. An impressive and thoughtfully put together menu with the tastiest of dishes, beautifully cooked using impeccably sourced fresh ingredients. The cocktails are fabulous too. If your favourite dish or drink isn’t on the menu the staff are eager to please and will go out of their way for you. We really do love our visits to Michaelangelo’s and look forward to the next one, and many more to follow.

We go with our family at least once a week to Michaelangelos. Always happy to hear our thoughts on the new dishes, we like to try a variety that’s on offer. After a stint in hospital i thought food couldn't be worse. However the fresh spices were dried and the pasta wasnt drained. The baby prawns were tiny and tastless (lidl frozen springs to mind)

Haven't been here for a few years but happy people are still going and seem to like it since it's in my neighbourhood and we don't need empty units in the area.

Went to Michaelangelo's to celebrate my brother in laws birthday! Fantastic dining experience, food was beautiful and can honestly say it's been one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The staff and service was outstanding, Mark who was the hostess with the mostess couldn't do enough to ensure we all had a great night. Even let me try a bit of his lobster which I highly recommend!

It really is fantastic value for money. Tonight was a little different from the norm; on a night that the restaurant is usually closed they have opened for "movie nights" (pizza,popcorn and a film with friends all for £10) and I once again can't recommend it highly enough. As a local myself I'd urge everyone who hasn't already, to give Michaelangelos a go you won't be disappointed! This is a local business not a faceless chain and it should be supported. Met friends this evening not realising ownership had changed at the restaurant since last time I was there ..we enjoyed lovely meal with delicious Minestrone soup and tasty main meals ..menu not extensive but we enjoyed everything we had ..

Central venue for seven friends, some regular diners. Friendly Italian welcome , drinks first then view interesting lunch menu. Starters, all voted very good as also, the well cooked, truly Italian dishes .Regret, no room for puds but, cappuccinos to finish an excellent meal.

Still by far and away the best in the locale. The new lunch menu is excellent value and the new take away wraps with soup are an absolute bargain and of the highest quality

The only issue I had with my trip to Michaelangelos was having to book a table for 5pm. But it’s only down to its popularity.

Five of us, mostly over 70 wanted a good meal as we went our separate ways after birthday and anniversary celebrations. We went on tripadvisor and found this restaurant. Our big problem was going to be noise and this featured in many reviews. We needed to sit one of our group with hearing problems in a place he would not have too many noise issues. The night before we went we popped in and saw a very personable chap who could not have been more helpful. Before we mentioned we had read reviews he told us about them. The restaurant is narrow and lends itself to groups. It is also Italian! I haven’t been in many that were not lively, noisy and fun places. The manager offered to set us in the least noisy place and he was good to his word. From the minute we entered we were delighted with the service, the quality of the food and drinks and most of all the cost. We had Sunday special menus with prices £14 or £17 ish for two or three course. Try the antipasti, or maybe the minestrone, or lamb starters. The chicken main course was very tasty and the Sunday roast (Italian style) was well received. So thank you all for looking after us and catering for our needs. We may not be local but friends are and they will be seeing you soon.

This is the first time I have been to Michaelangelo’s, but it certainly won’t be the last. Lunch was fabulous, fresh and tasty food. Wonderful staff and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. If you have never tried it, please do, you will not be disappointed.

Michealangelos has succeeded to put itself firmly at the top of the list for a trendy italian eatery my husband and I went for a lunch on sat this wee gem has had a revamp the food is even better than before lovely ambience great service it has a real trendy vibe that clarkston has missed out on if you want a light lunch or a full Alacarte or a cocktail all are a available with a fantastic greeting can't wait to visit again Karen and billy cruden

My first time and rate it very highly. Brilliant wine list.... Knowledgeable staff. Fabulous choices at very reasonable prices. Beef brisket was mouth melting. Quality food in a friendly restaurant!! Definitely returning. Lucky for me... I'm local!!

Visited Michaelangelo’s again last night and I have to say, the food, the service and the staff were exceptional.

Dined here on Friday with my girlfriends, one who was visiting from Dubai and overall we had a lovely time, this was a repeat visit. The food was excellent, couldn't fault it, service was a wee bit hit and miss as we had to wait some time for the starters. Three mains then came out together with the fourth coming noticeably after. The place was really busy, always a good sign but this of course meant it was noisy, not a problem for me but my friend found it hard to hear our conversation as there was a large birthday party behind us, having a great time. Restaurant was happy to spice up my friends pasta with her chicken Milanese and to remove the cherry tomatoes from my other friends Linguine so very helpful from that point of view. None of the above would stop me visiting again, maybe I would choose a quieter night, if there is such a thing.

I visited Michaelangelo's twice in the last week or so, one with an old pal and once with my wife and grown up kids. On both occasions the food, service and wine were fantastic.

What an amazing place. So family friendly. Food is exceptional we were booked for my birthday. At booking they didn’t know this. When my parents arrived early with the cake they changed the table to make it more special. It was extra special anyway xx. Food excellent staff also excellent. I can’t rate it high enough

Michaelangelo's is hands down our favourite restaurant. The menu is superb, a fantastic selection with something for absolutely everyone, very well thought out by the chef and owners. The food simply never disappoints, the lunch menu, pre-theatre, a la carte, daily specials, regardless of what we decide on it's aways, without fail, ridiculously good! Very well sourced, fresh, quality produce giving you lovingly prepared dishes to adore again and again!

Enjoyed a very relaxed lunch in this Italian a well established business. The staff were attentive and helpful and explained the 'lunch specials' in addition to the normal lunch menu. The cost is very reasonable for freshly cooked food either for a two or three course meal. I would return.

There is a lot of competition around when you go out for a lunch. Of course lots of pubs offer the usual 2 and 3 course options but it is nice to see a really good Italian restaurant doing the same but with real quality. Michaelangelo’s is a well established Clarkston restaurant and I have dined there a good number of times and have always found it to be top quality. You have pay for quality and that is fine by me. However, if you venture here for a lunch, you get the same quality and a good selection of dishes to choose from but at really reasonable prices, £8 for a main course or £10 for 2 courses. Frankly the portions were huge and everything we ordered and ate was top notch. Drinks during and coffees after will push up the bill but for the money I am not sure you will find a better place to eat out at lunchtime which serves excellent food at very reasonable prices.

Clarkston a bit short on options of this nature so is a good place to have in the area. Only been once having recently moved back to the town. Had a nice meal on a relatively busy Saturday night, for main I had the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti and tomato sauce. The breaded chicken was nice and well seasoned, the spaghetti complemented it well. My mate had the chicken too but with potato/veg and this mean t he had no sauce to speak of so was glad I went with spaghetti! Jar of menabrea was nice, but I struggle to stomach £5 a pint regardless of my surroundings. Would return.

We were seated right opposite cash desk which was on a table at arms length from us across a narrow passage. Felt a bit claustrophobic. It was noisy too with staff being a tad too friendly and asking too often if we were ok.

Just went for Saturday lunch at Michaelangelo's. We were both impressed with both the food and the friendly staff. If you are looking for genuine fresh home cooked Italian food look no further. The lunch menu is a bit short but has something for everybody and is good vale for great tasting food.

First time I visited here and I was thoroughly impressed!!!! Starter was amazing, wine was gorgeous and main meal of seafood risotto was one of the best I have ate!!! Will be back asap
