Mibento Taiwanese Cafe in Barnet

We came here for a quick lunch after visiting the RAF Museum. The place is relatively small (as the name says, don’t expect a restaurant, it’s a cafe) but the food tasted great! We had lovely baos, Korean spicy rice, teriyakis, sweet potato balls, and more. Staff were really friendly and food came in no time even if they seemed pretty busy. Recommended!

Very nice local family-run Taiwenese place. Flavoursome, hearty food that will leave you satisfied! Friendly, quick service. Good value. Casual seating so perhaps best for either a takeaway or quick eat-in. Note that minimum card spend is £10, so bring cash if buying for one! Dishes mostly meaty, so I imagine would not be great for vegetarians.

Un pequeño lugar de aspecto auténtico cerca de la estación, el personal muy amable pero no podía explicar adecuadamente cuáles eran los platos. La comida que tuvimos fue muy decepcionante. La carne picada de cerdo con salchichas sabía muy grasosa y de baja calidad y dejó un sabor horrible en mi boca.

Pedimos unas 30 libras de comida desde aquí. La comida recibida es significativamente diferente de las imágenes. Se ve muy barato.

I like the fried chicken pieces but most importantly the atmosphere here! Staff are really friendly and the background music is nice!

We popped in noticing what seemed to be a new restaurant. Only recently opened and finding their feet. Menu is limited but everything we had was very tasty. Some of the beef was a bit fatty and on commenting, the Owner was called by the staff and he personally came to the restaurant to apologise. Superb service. Well worth a visit.

Came here with my wife children and a friend , we all had their set menus and the food was really tasty the owner really looked after us and helped with the menu choice as we were not familiar with this type of cuisine. The bill was super reasonable as well.

Been here a few times for lunch since it opened in December. I love the simple deco, the quaint tables and the branded serving trays. The menu is different each day as I'm told they are still finding their feet to see what dishes are popular, bonus for me as it means getting to sample different dishes. Had the braised beef brisket with rice, beef noodles and chicken dumplings during different visits and they were all scrumptious! The beef was so tender yet held together well. Very tasty and reminds me of traditional home-cooked meals - but much better presented! You can see the care and consideration taken for each dish they present to you. Price is also reasonable compared to other places nearby. Definitely a place to chill, relax and enjoy your food and company. The owners are very friendly too.

The owners have done a great job with mibento. The beef brisket noodles and Taiwanese fried chicken never fail to impress. The vegetarian bao makes a perfect snack. The service is nothing short of excellent. It's a comfortable place for solo diners and groups alike. The menu is ever-changing, reflecting the versatility of the kitchen staff and it is always a pleasure to taste the new dishes. Most importantly, it is how every customer feels valued that makes mibento special.

I went on a Friday night and it was the best decision! The food tasted just like home (Taiwan) - the beef noodles were mouth-wateringly delicious, and the Taiwanese fried chicken was crispy and perfectly seasoned. The cafe is run by a couple who make every effort to ensure all their customers are happy and looked after. Definitely recommend!

One of the best experience in London. I love eating local and sometimes that is a challenge when you live in such a big city. At Mibento you will find delicious food, great hospitality and the warm feeing of being welcomed by the family who runs the place. 100% recommended if you want to experience a Taiwanese twist your lunch/dinner. Also, prices are affordable.

The food is delicious and authentically taiwanese. Friendly staff. The only downside is that the portions is small and does not fill the stomach. Still bet good food.

New Taiwanese place opened across colindale station and had to check it out. It certainly did not disappoint. An amazing addition to the neighbourhood and long may they continue! Must visit for the authentic food and friendly owners.

The opening of this Taiwanese restaurant last week was a welcome addition to a burgeoning, competitive and somewhat increasingly commercialised oriental food scene in Colindale, London. Their trial menu includes Taiwanese classics such as 'Mibento Dan Dan Noodles' (Egg, Beancurd with Minced Pork), Sausage Fried...
