Miami Fish Bar Bilston in Wolverhampton

I usaly love the food from here. But today I decided on havein takeaway. So I ordered. Pie and d chips the pie was left overs from 12 o clock lunch. Pastry was hard so that tells me it's been in the wormer since 12. Discustin

Can’t comment on food as didn’t get served. Stood at counter for 9 minutes waiting but didn’t receive any interaction despite some eye contact & a greeting from myself to the one staff member or who I presume were the owners. Still ignored me. Shop had another customer waiting whose I think was being prepared. The wait was excruciatingly rude & made me feel extremely uncomfortable so I left after 10th minute & went to Bilston Fish Bar where the experience was 100% more friendly & efficient. I do try to support local businesses but this is one where I do revisit in the hope of better service but unfortunately this will have been the last time.

Tried the chips from here today. These were clearly not fresh, but reheated old ones. If these were fresh I imagine they would have been delicious, hence two stars instead of one.

The man very rude, has attitude because I ask for extra sauce, I won’t what I’ve paid, years been going there n it will be my last

Just had a tub of lukewarm water with a few flakes of some kind of herbs sprinkled in it, masquerading as curry sauce! Absolutely tasteless, and so watery that it didn't coat the chips....it just ran off them. Looks like finding another chippy.

Delivery driver made mistake with someone else’s order anc delivered it to our house. Tried to figure out whose it was but couldn’t. Company tried to blame us for the mistake. Ridiculous. Caused a row for their own mistake. Delivering a whole 3-4 streets away 🤷🏻‍♀️

(Shocking)a few times there chips are always hard and thick cut not fully cooked,today I thought let’s try again being not been there a while and omg I opened them well see for yourself hard and burnt and tasted horrid never again that was the last chance in the bin they went 🤮 will never go there again.sorry just being honest

Called into this establishment, which calls itself a "fish bar" at around 8pm on a Saturday evening as we fancied a bite to eat. After waiting around for several minutes while the staff appeared to be putting up pre-ordered food, I was asked what I wanted and said "cod and chips". The assistant looked blank, obviously not understanding what I was asking for. After the third attempt, she said "A cone of chips?" Another staff member overheard and pointed out that I wanted 'fish and chips'. It quite clearly states 'Cod' on the menu so why the assistant had no idea what I was talking about was baffling and, to me, 'fish & chips' is not 'Cod & chips'. When I finally got served, 10-15 minutes later, the food was adequate but nothing to write home about given the rather expensive price. Need to smarten up their ideas and get some staff who actually understand the products they are selling. Won't be going back again any time soon.

Disgusting wouldn't order from here again . Chips were OK. Mushy peas were not mushy peas and fish well the cat had it . Vile meal .

Very bad naans I asked for garlic naan was like a naan u would buy from supermarket and heated and could not taste the garlic never ordering again

Been here tonight (11/3/2023) for a last minute tea had mini fish and chips each for my wife and myself and although the the service was good and the quality of the fish and chips decent , both portions were luke warm when I got home, which is a two minute ride from Miami Fish Bar. Shame as it would have been really nice if it were hot .

So we’ve used this chip shop a lot over the last few years, admittedly not as often as we should have! Because of Uber promotions & so on we have tried other restaurants! Honestly though this is by far the best chip shop in bilston! We’ve never had a bad meal from here, & if I’m honest the food seems to get better. The staff are fantastic as well

Sent wrong food and it was burnt. Tried calling and shop hung up phone. First and last time I order from someone who is local.

Fish box is small and costs 4.50 kinda crazy the size is a small tray and costs this much.. Chips are mediocre just ok.. Not the best and not the worst just ok if you've not got a choice to go elsewhere, Seems like the chips are refried from dinner time, only plus is the pie isn't microwaved when ordered.

Tasty foods, reasonable prices and friendly staff members. Their southern fried chicken is one of the best.

I spent £20 on tea for family, had to throw the chips and chicken breast , looked like left overs that had been reheated . A waste of money , won’t buy again .

Ordered steak and kidney pie and chips in a tray well over priced opened the pie and it was just mush looked like dog food and all cold in the middle room out the filling as I was starving on lunch break this was just when they opened as well so should be nice and fresh won’t be going there again 😒

Something has gone awry here. Just not what it used to be. The chips were just not good and this was the main reason I used the place. Disappointing.

Have always enjoyed the food from Miami, the chips were the best locally as they didn't batter them, unfortunately the last two times I've ordered from here the chips have been a reheated, burnt greasy mess, I was hoping after the first time it was a one off, sadly not. If this is the new standard for Miami it's a shame because it's absolute rubbish being served. Up your game Miami!!!

Asked for no salt or vinegar on our food and it was saturated in salt, also asked for curry sauce gor more of a curry soup.

The pizzas are actually very good but the chips and the fish are terrible I won't be eating here any time soon.

Didn't get chips with my order and by the time I cooked some I had to warm the fish up it was swimming in grease and hard will never order from there again

Stood outside waiting to go in to be told no fish and wasn't gonna cook anymore so went elsewhere

This chip shop has changed hands not so good just tried the chips 5/12/19 Yuk would not reccomend if you don't want a upset tummy

I love the food from this place it has always been good but if people who work there can't cut the meat for a meal because "the guy who cuts the meat has gone home" Why are you working in a chip shop if you can't provide a consistent service?

Waited an hour for our food for them to cancel.. absolute joke! After being at work all day we just wanted something nice to eat. Never agen!

Got a chicken kebab in naan on way home from work when I didn't want to cook, wish I'd just gone hungry. Tasted alright but bit down on something that broke my tooth! Turned out to be a small black thing that looked strangely like shot. Never eating here again. Absolutely disgusting food and service!

Absolutely dreadful service. Hung up the phone 5 times on me. Then I discover despite the just eat 4 star rating the local authority hygiene rating is 1 - in need of urgent significant improvement. Basically it’s filthy

We go every Saturday for our tea. Never disappoints. Good value from mini fish boxes to kebabs. Would recommend.

Not good any more now they have changed hands they used to be one of the best chippy and I loved the pizzas but last time my family and I had them they was not nice and the pizza was burnt

How much salt and vinegar do you want to put on my food 15 holes in the top of the salt and help it over my row for at least 3 seconds. Heart attack on its way to me. Completely ruined my lunch. Also chips looked and tasted like they were cooked yesterday and reheated. The only thing I enjoyed was the pie bcuz it wasn't microwaved.

I find this chippy expensive has i have a big family and deals are not real deals.

Always pretty good as a rule ,but the takeaway doner and chips I had last night was dripping in fat and to top it off their was big a long hair in my food ,made me want to be sick

I've been to the Miami Fish Bar for years, and it's always been very high quality. The menu is quite standard but they additionally do nice pizzas and curries. I'd recommend calling in first if you're wanting a pizza, as they have to cook them first.

Ordered some food from here last night. It arrived late, the food was cold, and part of the order was missing. The missing part of the order was chased up (by me) and arrived 25 minutes later. No apology was offered in any way. Waste of money. Bad food, terrible service. Incompetent.

Went here under recommendation from 2 trustworthy friends. Having worked in a Fish restaurant before, where we cooked the fish fresh to order, I asked the girl could I have a freshly cooked fish please. Her look, and her tone in her reply said it all. Disgruntled, she asked the Fryer for a fresh fish. I needn't have bothered, a previously soggy bottomed fish would have tasted the same. The batter was too THICK, undercooked on the inside and bland. The fish was flavourless. First and last visit. I can't even say the customer service made up for it! Lol
