Out of this world. Amazing food, great atmosphere, affordable, friendly staff. Can't fault it.

Myself, son and son in Law turned up yesterday lunchtime without a booking, on our way to the Rugby. They found us a table and we are all really pleased, 2 pizzas and the lasagne all went down really well. The staff very efficient and friendly. I'll definitely book next time I'm going to Rugby, but I'll be bringing my wife through from Hamilton soon.

good food, nice environment. Also good for gathering with friends, make reservation in advance if possible. Among the best Italian food I’ve tried so far.

Amazing little Italian restaurant with a lot of choices on the menu. Staff's very nice. I had the linguine salmone and it was so good! Also tried the tiramisu and strawberry margarita after dinner... probably best I ever had!

This warm, welcoming restaurant is a must-visit in Haymarket, Edinburgh. The lady and gentleman who served us were both friendly and efficient, and we were even served with a surprise mocktail which was divine. We also ordered calamari and mixed olives as starters, and lasagna, creamy chicken and seabass as mains, all of which were beyond satisfactory. The atmosphere was chilled out and gave a sense of cosiness (definitely needed during the cold months of Scotland). Highly recommend and will most definitely be revisiting!

2nd time my colleagues and I have attended for a meal and were already talking about a return in the new year.... Food was excellent Wine(chianti) was sensational, Atmosphere was relaxed and easy going. Definitely recommend !!

I’ve visited Mia’s I’ve lost count how many timesalways had great service food amazing!!so returned for my granddaughter 16th on 24 th Nov booked for 12 people no problem told them I had myideal vouchers yes that’s fine arrived to be told sorry no vouchers today as the rugby is on I said oh I wasn’t told that when booked to be told it’s in the small print !!!cldnt find this either could my daughter eventually said we will honour them today but not again!!!resturant was empty rugby had started at 1.40 this was now 2pm…Thento be told kids meals are not in the deal with voucher I said that’s strange I’ve been here few times with kids used vouchers nvr been a problem only thing in small print kids need to be with adults which they were!! Made us feel very uncomfortable which I’ve nvr experienced before that’s why I always reccomend and use this place a lot..restaurant was empty so 12 people is good business!!!I asked if they had a lighter to light some candles on the cake sorry no we don’t we don’t have a lighter to light candles a member of our party had one so was fine… I felt like we were not made welcome this place has always had great service that is why we chose to have birthday meal there…myself and my daughter were a bit deflated with the actions on the day…plus £25 service charge on the bill a bit steep..

It was one of the most magnificent dinners of my life. Pasta carbonara and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was just perfect. Great atmosphere, smiling and friendly staff, cleanliness, and of course great food...Can't wait for next time! 100 out of 100!

Described as « phenomenal » by my partner. Took the risotto del mare, which was a generous portion, with high quality seafood products: shrimps, mussels, langoustines and whole scallops, mmmh I had the carbonara, the spaghetti were cooked perfectly (i.e., the real al-dente, not the squishy ones you forgot in the pot!), the sauce was as identical as my Nona would make it, no cream, just egg yolk, Parmesan and cooking water. The staff was very generous on the parmesan, which we loved! Lastly, as the birthday occasion involved cake, we had a chocolate cheesecake and pana cotta. Both deserts were extremely light, and not too sweet! Cherry on top: we thought all prices were pretty affordable (£12.5 for the carbonara, like 🤌🏼) Go there, enjoy yourself, and be ready to be served the full Italian way!

Cibo delizioso!! Absolutely fantastic food, I’d highly recommend the burrata with Italian meat and spaghetti carbonara. Fantastic service and the wine is good quality!

It's a little loud and crowded - my drink was also mostly fruit and less of a cocktail. The food was good, though I would have preferred a drizzle of balsamic reduction on my caprese salad.

Food was delicious brother Ibrahim embraced us with an authentic "back home" hospitality they were very accommodating it was an amazing experience 👌👌👌

Throughly enjoyed our meal with great service from staff, food was large portions at a great price. Restaurant was modern and kept clean and would really recommend it!

Great welcome. I didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was full but the manager found a seat for me. Their seafood risotto is delicious and filling. The red wine chosen was very good. I ate very well and I recommend this establishment without hesitation. Thank you so much.

Mia's was a great dining experience! It was a bit of a walk from Old Town but worth it. Everyone was friendly and attentive and the food and drinks were delicious!

Food is amazing! Staff services is upto the mark and made us our last day in edinburgh worth it! 100% recommend the same! The gentleman who was serving us checked on us and offered us complimentary lemonchello as well which was so kind! Will be back!!

We were so disappointed by our recent visit here! Had been before and loved it, so I came back. It was a shame because the food was actually very nice overall - the mains were very delicious, and really good value. The panna cotta dessert was very disappointing (it tasted more like frozen yoghurt, really), but that would not have been a big deal if it weren’t for the staff, who were not especially polite. Our server was very surly, and did not make us feel at all welcome, nor did she thank us when we paid and left. She may just have been having a bad day, but then we also had our drinks menu snatched away from our table and then replaced without a polite word by another waiter, disturbing our meal. This was such a shame, as I only like writing positive reviews, but we won’t be coming back here sadly. There are too many other nice Italian restaurants in Edinburgh that have much more friendly staff… I would be open to trying the other branch, on account of the good food!

Really good food with excellent service. Visited here when I didn't have anywhere booked and we were lucky to get a table. The soup of the day was excellent. A beautiful blend of flavours. The pasta was fantastic, well cooked and very flavorful. My friend had the veal which was a little disappointing as it was a little overcooked. The desert was however excellent and redeemed the overall meal. I would definitely recommend coming here and giving this place a try.

I didn't go crazy with the food, and neither did my company. It was basic and lacked taste. Of course, cheese can cover everything, and that's what we did—asked for more, but what's the point? The wines were nice, the atmosphere was good, and the staff was very social and friendly. In the end, the panna cotta had a good texture but not a rich flavor at all.

£60 for 3 adults and a kids meal, not happy we didn't get the kid's dessert that we paid for. and they expected a £6 tip like this is America or something. Food is good quality and service is fast but requesting a tip is cheeky AF putting a service charge on the bill automatically. Feel free to ask them to remove it.

We did takeout and the food was incredible! We had the Bolognese, the Rigatoni Alla Nduja, and the garlic and rosemary Focaccia. As I'm thinking about it now, I'm developing a craving for everything again, it was really really good. Portions were reasonably generous as well. The service (from the woman behind the bar) left a lot to be desired. When we asked if the noodles contained egg, she replied that she didn't know because it wasn't made there and then she left. When we asked could we get order something to go, she said she wasn't sure, because the kitchen was busy (the restaurant wasn't even half full 🤷🏾‍♂️). Someone else eventually came to help us, and they were great. They even packaged grated parmesan cheese for us because we were taking it to go.

First time diners at this restaurant. As well as an a la carte menu they offer a fixed price lunch menu which, at £13.95 for two courses, represents good value for money. Food is freshly cooked and was very tasty apart from the broccoli soup starter which was salty. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, an enjoyable lunch and we will be happy to return.

We ordered the seafood risotto and Linguine Mare, as well as calamari rings. The seafood was very fresh and offered great value for money. For dessert, we had panna cotta and cheesecake. The cheesecake was different from what we usually have, but it was also very tasty.

The menu is very big what gave you a good choice we have quite good variety. Risotto was nice a bit salty but was ok but the pizza wasn’t great like for Italian restaurant. The food portions are very generous. Service was very nice. I have seen as they do set menu for a lunch so can be a good spot for hungry people. They also been quite busy so recommend to book.

The food was very good. It was a little cold to sit inside because the door, close to our table was open.

We dined with friends who live in Edinburgh and who love this place, and it's easy to see why. Excellent food, personal service. On a busy Friday evening it was a little too noisy, but there's not much one can do about that in a small place with many diners. Smoked salmon starter and risotto with salsiccia and blue cheese were outstanding.

We had the menu of the day, delicious and at a very good price. Everything was great, an extraordinary waitress, good atmosphere of local people. It is reached within a walk from the center.

We visited Mia kitchen with a gift voucher . When presenting the voucher when ordering food the waiter joked that it was out of date which I personally felt embarrassed with . Very unprofessional. Then when presented with the bill questioned if we had handed over the voucher . Left premises with a disappointing feeling as if we were dishonest .

Had a Pizza. Pretty Pants. Solid dough work. Tasted like a Pizza from the 90s. Ham and mushroom and it cost me £15.00. Try the Pizzeria across the road, much superior. Money making exercise.

The lunch menu at Mia’s is great! They have quite generous portions. The service was also very good, servers were nice and friendly. I wasn’t a big fan of the broccoli soup but I will try something else next time. The arrabbiata pasta was spicy, I enjoyed that however I would love to try their pizzas. They also have multiple vegetarian/vegan options on the lunch menu which is much appreciated.

Authentic. I ate a warm chicken salad, and it was delicious. The chicken was high quality and char grilled served with a salad prepped with the freshest of ingredients (with olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table for a DIY dressing). Staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Me and my partner came here to celebrate his 25th birthday and it did not disappoint! We hadn't booked but they found a table for us. Nothing was too much trouble! We felt very welcomed and looked after throughout the evening. The food was also absolutely lovely and very authentic tasting. I was also impressed by the non alcoholic options as me and my partner don't drink. The mocktails gave the evening a great sense of occasion and they were really delicious. The price was also very reasonable for the quality of the food! We will definitely be returning when we visit Edinburgh again!

We stayed for 1 week in Edinburgh June 2023 in the evening we went for dinner, excellent restaurant with good food, service and family atmosphere.

Our first time in Edinburgh. We came without a reservation at 6 and we were seated right away. We got lasagne, bruschetta and margarita pizza. All dishes were delicious. Bruschetta was decent, we have had better. Pizza was above average. And the lasagne was delicious, didn’t even need a knife to cut through it. Started to get busy at around 6.30pm so book a reservation we just didn’t know! They charge a 10% service charge, and with 2 cokes it came to 34£ which is very reasonable.

Lovely staff and lovely food. The pasta has great value for what you pay and the tiramisu was light, smooth, and creamy. Cocktails were also great, they have Limoncello spritz which was refreshing and compliments the richer pastas well. Would recommend if in Edinburgh.

We go here often as it’s local to us and always great service and delicious food. Really affordable lunch menu as well.

Lentil soup tasted strongly of MSG which was unwelcome. Fared better with pizza which was pleasantly chewy/puffy and a generously sized side salad. Service charge is "optional" according to bill but gets added automatically.

A fantastic Boxing Day dinner on my son's birthday. Our family of 4 were treated to a delicious meal. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the restaurant is rightly proud of their seafood dishes. I recommend it highly.

Despite a friend recommending this place i was left unsatisfied as i have tasted better from the ready meals section in sainsburys especially considering the prices they charge
